I have had a lot of Merrell footwear over the years from trail shoes to mountain hiking boots. They are very well made, extremely comfortable

I’m walking 10 -12 miles everyday so comfort is important and unfortunately for me these were just not! I ordered my usual size but found them too big and I kept tripping up them unfortunatelyi had to return them, the quality and look was really nice nonetheless

Very comfortable from day one. Not yet worn in the rain so not tested the waterproof element yet which is why only 4 stars

Have been advised to get walking shoes/boots for upcoming cruise. Wanted a pair that I would use again. Saw these in a sport shop for 100, my husband check on Amazon 65, what a bargain. I have worn them a few times to break in and they seem comfortable.

I’m a big Merrell fan but these shoes were too narrow. They made a squeaking noise when walking. The mega grip soles extended over the toes at the front, maybe that’s what caused the noise.
I always go up a half size, that fits normally, but they were too big

Bought these shoes for walking my dog. They are waterproof and very comfy. Would highly recommend.

Purchased Aug 2021!!!!! I am so pleased with these shoes, I have walked on average 3.25 miles per day for the past 16 months in these shoes any only just needing to replace. Yes I have purchased another pair of the same. Hoping they will last as long

These shoes have been one of my best purchases. I am a 7.5 shoe size so it’s difficult to get shoes that fit. I thought these actually seemed a bit large, but this is to accommodate thicker socks for walking. They actually fit perfectly – no ‘new shoe blisters’ is always a benefit!
They got their first proper workout yesterday in the first snow/slush of the winter. They performed BRILLIANTLY. Despite having to trudge through puddles of slush and water my feet remained perfectly dry. The traction from the sole is superb, I felt sure-footed during my 5 mile walk, no slipping at all. And lastly, unlike previous walking shoes I’ve had, they are lightweight. I know I’m going to wear these until they fall off my feet. Well worth the money.

This is my fourth pair of Merrell walking shoes/boots. Really great fit. Wouldn’t buy any other make. Perfect for me. I have done a number of long distance walks / hikes and not a blister in sight!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAs a postie my footwear is vital. Merrell has been the only show I can buy new, and wear immediately on a 13 mile walk without any ‘having to break them in’. I walk between 10-15 miles a day for my job. My only critique is that the inside heal does not take long to rip or wear through. That then poses potential blisters. I resort to using duct tape to cover the tear. But it is with all brands of shoes. They’re just not made for everyday hard use. They are very waterproof. During torrential rain my feet are normally the only part of me that is dry. I just wish I could get the inside heal repaired as it’s often the cause of me having to buy another pair.

Love these shoes for hiking and general walking. Very comfy and true to size. They look great and feet feel nice and supported.

I have been buying these for several years now – I think this is my third pair. They are comfortable for my feet, wear well, are waterproof even in wet grass and rain and are lightweight. I usually find a pair last me between 18 months and 2 years with frequent use, so I feel they are good value.

I love how narrow they are! They actually fit my feet properly which is almost impossible for me to find. They’re also very lightweight. Perfect for travel in warm places, my intended use for them.

I have a favourite pair of Hi-Tech boots which are at least 15 years old and have walked many miles but was encouraged to buy some walking shoes as well as we were walking part of the Cornish coastal path so bought these shoes in April 21. I have done quite a lot of walking but not excessive and after just over a year the inside heel has bunched up and I now can’t walk in them. Worse on the left shoe than the right. I have never used a shoe horn to get them on but perhaps I should have done. They were nice and lightweight and have still got plenty of tread underneath so rather disappointing as have many miles left in them!

This is my second pair of the Merrel Siren. First pair I bought last year in black. They are the most comfortable shoe/trainer walking shoe I’ve ever bought. I just have to try the wet weather on this pair to test the Gortex. I’m sure will be fine.Comfortable as slippers. Perfect fit 7.5 Many Thanks

This was the third pair of waterproof trainers I tried from Amazon. Absolutely delighted. Yes they were more than double the price of the previous ones but these are so comfortable and flexible. I haven’t tried them in the wet yet but I am trusting they will be waterproof.

Bought to replace an old pair of Merrell walking shoes, so knew size would be okay, 7.5, without having to try on before buying. They are quite a slim fit, which is fine for me, but may be too tight for those with a wider foot. Colour is as on line. They are very comfortable and so far are water tight when walking in long wet grass.

Only had for a few weeks and already the tread is wearing down. I did think that being high end they would last longer.

I wanted new walking shoes as my previous gave me blisters- I’ve been on a few walks now in these and no blisters or any discomfort, and they keep my feet dry after going in the mud and wet ground. They are a good grip and fit really well, especially for me as I have very narrow feet. Definitely would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI use these shoes for walking in all weathers. They have not disappointed me yet. I have been using them for about 6 months, including on some long, muddy walks (up to 16 miles). They are light weight and comfortable and seem to be pretty waterproof too. The only downside I have found is that, being black, they are difficult to get clean and seem to show up every speck of dirt. I sometimes have to wash them more than once after a muddy walk to get them looking respectable. I have quite narrow feet and found them to be a good fit in my usual size.

Absolutely perfect fit just as I expected from this brand though, I bought on try before you buy which is fantastic idea by the way. I wore couple of time around the living room and cannot fault these shoes at all! Toes are not crushed, the heel area is a perfect fit feet don’t move so less chance of blisters yikes! Yeah go ahead buy them you’ll not regret it. Can’t wait for Camino de Santiago now I’m sorted

Loved the look and quality of these, sizing length wise was generous but unfortunately I had to return as they were too narrow for me

Love these walking shoes. Found them a bit of a strange fit to start with as they have quite a lot of support under the arch but my feet now love them. I generally get blisters with new walking shoes/boots but not with these so I’m super happy. I choose the kahki ones as they were the cheapest (and I am not fussed with what colour my feet are when I walk the dog) but, honestly, the colour is great, blends in with the mud really nicely, much better than black or grey. They are light on my feet and waterproof – I’ve done about 25 miles in them so far. Hurrah!

I was looking for some lightweight, waterproof, comfortable shoes for my daily dog walks, and these are perfect. Having walked through puddles, boggy woodland and in the rain, I can confirm they are waterproof and have excellent grip. My only issue is, as a size 3, the smallest size of 3.5 are slightly too big in the toe box, but at least that allows for thick socks and they have been very comfortable from the offset. Definitely a good purchase and a great price (they were 50 more expensive in a local store), would recommend!

Great walking shoes. Only one niggle, there is not much in the way of support in the inside. They feel hard and unforgiving. They are only being used for dog walking, if I was hill walking I wouldn’t choose these. I think your feet wouldn’t have enough support. Otherwise they are nice on, they fit well and seem so far to be waterproof.

I used Amazon Wardrobe to try 4 pairs of Goretex trainers. I chose this pair because they were the most comfortable. I have been out dog walking early in the morning through long wet grass and my shoes and legs were wet but my feet and socks remained bone dry. They are very comfortable, have good grip and look less bulky than many and so avoid the “hiking boot” look which is perfect for my needs.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI am super pleased with these walking shoes. I have a narrow foot and these fit perfectly. I wanted something waterproof and easy to put on in the mornings when I take the dogs out these are perfect. I can slip them on and I can confirm even walking in wet grass and dewy grass across the fields whilst the shoes get wet my socks are bone dry! They are so comfortable I’ve taken to wearing them in the day when I go out on the farm rather than my walking boots. I’d say they are more a brown than an olive but the colour was not important to me. Merrell always fit very well I had a 7 which si my normal size perfect for me.

I liked the colour and style of these walking shoes. Merrell is generally a good fit for me. I’m not used to such lightweight shoes for walking and these feel more like a trainer but they are perfectly fine when I am walking my dogs in all weathers and varied terrain. I have covered many miles in them and they have been fine but I had to keep re-adjusting the laces to begin with to get complete comfort. The grip on the soles is really good. All in all really pleased with my purchase.

I’ve had these for a few weeks now. I walk about 5km most days and manage 13km frequently. I walk mainly in the countryside so uneven surfaces. I have wide feet, bunions and have had plantar facitiitis so finding good footwear is essential. These are perfect. Wide enough to be snug but comfortable, a shaped footbed and very lightweight. I’m so pleased with my purchase. I love walking even more now!

My second pair of Merrells – liked the first so much decided to get second pair. Not quite as comfy as other pair but still very perfect for walking. The laces aren’t as nice as on previous pair otherwise I’d have given them a 5

I was concerned about ordering another pair of waterproof walking shoes (daily dog walking, not hiking) as I have already spent a lot of money on unsuitable and uncomfortable boots and shoes. I did a lot of research and decided on Merrell. I was not disappointed. They are stylish and smart casual, great for everyday use. I was able to wear them daily from the moment I received them and are definitely waterproof. I would say they suit a slimmer foot though.

I am normally size 5.5 but go up 1/2 size with trainers etc I have 3 other pairs of trainers and all are size 6 – but these were larger than all others. But from what I could see they were comfortable, lightweight and looked very nice.

Has extremely good grip on all surfaces .could have been a broader fitting and not quite so long in toe area. Would have been more comfortable when walking up inclines if heal was raised slightly.very flat shoe.

With the wet season ahead of us, I’ve been looking for walking shoes that are both lightweight and waterproof, so that I can abandon my heavy hiking boots which were starting to feel like housebricks attached to my feet. These shoes are superbly comfortable and a perfect fit. Their first test was an eight mile walk along the South West coast path – no blisters, rubbing or pinching. They kept my feet dry all day despite the occasional long wet grass, and are as lightweight as my summer trainers. I’m a very happy hiker/dogwalker.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI’ve only worn these a couple of times for walks of about 3 miles but have found myself not thinking about my feet throughout each walk – always a good thing. They were also a very reasonable price for goretex shoes with a vibram sole.
With walking boots/shoes, I normally take a size bigger than my usual size but found I needed my usual size in these. However, despite being the correct length, I find that I can’t wear my walking socks with them because they are quite narrow.
My only real gripe is that, in use, they don’t really breathe that well, but goretex tends to cause that.
    Overall, I’m pleased.
