great for workflow 1080p max res though
amazing product being able to use a phone or tablet to record adjust and edit is just so much easier than having to use a laptop or computer and perfect for streaming live too.

Utili per piccole produzioni
Le ho scelte per riprendere conferenze, sfruttando il kit da tre esemplari. Ho usato stand che avevo e la ghiera e’ standard e quindi non ho avuto problemi. Con il wifi del luogo dove ero a velocit di circa 110 Mbps non sono stato in grado di fare streaming su YouTube a 1080p ma solo a 720p. Un avviso avverte quando bisogna ridurre la qualit per poter trasmettere. La App abbastanza intuitiva e variare l’inquadratura semplice. Occorre fare i conti con la latenza perch pu essere rischioso seguire l’audio della sala che ovviamente pi avanti di due o tre secondi rispetto a quanto memorizzato e si rischiano miscelazioni fuori sync. Pi sicuro sentirlo in cuffia. Un po’ complicata la grafica, per inserire le scritte bisogna premere pi tasti e si rischia la confusione. Peccato che il colore delle scritte possa essere solo bianco o nero. Lo sfondo pu essere di vari colori. Non si possono fare scritte scorrevoli. La batteria delle cam era a circa 45% dopo 1ora e 30min di riprese. Strumento tutto sommato utile per piccole produzioni con la necessit di fare streaming su un solo social. La qualit dello zoom che poi un crop accettabile. Un po’ complicato zoomare in diretta con due dita perch va in onda tutto il movimento e risulta poco fluido. Meglio preparare l’inquadratura fuori onda e mette in air solo il risultato. Prodotto consigliabile con le limitazioni sopra descritte.

Nous sommes trs satisfait par le dlai de livraison et surtout la qualit de l’image et du son et trs bien, nous installons pour des vnements sportifs et on le gre avec un ordinateur. 5 min le temps d’installation.
These cameras wouldn’t be so impressive if it weren’t for the NDI support. The picture quality is OK, a bit better than a C920 webcam but don’t expect anything mindblowing. Also, the Mevo Multicam app just doesn’t work (it finds the cameras but I can’t do anything else) but I can control the cameras through the regular Mevo app just fine. It is not a big problem for me as I don’t use smartphones with these cameras.
OK, we got the bad things out of the way, now for the good things 1. NDI – enables you to use these cameras in a professional live video streaming software (vMix, OBS…) without having to buy a capture card. Also, NDI enables you to use PTZ controls to reframe and zoom in/out on each camera, which makes the smartphone apps totally redundant fortunately 🙂 NDI works great through WiFi as well but I would suggest using it only if you have your own high quality wireless network switcher with you. 2. Audio – great microphones built-in the cameras. Definitely a recommendation if you want to capture ambient audio. Also the ability to connect external audio is a plus 3. Battery – these things last for around 6 hours on one battery charge. If you need more, just connect an external power bank 😉
I gave 5 stars because of the amazing value and NDI connectivity/convenience.
Bought for a local church to record Sunday morning services. In this application, it’s set up on a tripod near the front of the sanctuary and records everything that happens on the platform (minister, readers and musicians) to SD. A separate audio track is recorded off the mixing desk. The Mevo audio is used to sync in the separate audio track and the service is then edited for uploading to YouTube the same afternoon; editing involves little more than cropping shots as necessary, tidying transitions and overlaying slides/text – all quite straightforward in DV Resolve. I initially used the iPad app to crop and pan whilst recording but we found that, since I upload to YouTube in 720p, recording in 1080p and cropping in edit didn’t give a significant reduction in video quality – and leaving it to edit meant the camera didn’t need anyone to control it during the service. I could probably do the same with a range of alternative cameras (the GoPro series for example) but the Mevo Start offers more options for a static application like ours (such as the option to livestream direct to YouTube when needed, albeit not something I do on a regular basis). Also, the Mevo can operate in NDI mode, making it easy to mix and control several of them with OBS (which I did when live-streaming a wedding via Zoom, for a groom’s family scattered across two continents during the Covid-19 lockdown).
