I very much like this product because it’s cheap to run and it does it’s job. I have issues with numbness and having this on a low setting takes it away. It wil be even better during the winter months.
Cosy winte
Enjoyed last winter with this lovely warm soft blanket, helping me save my bills. The power cable recently developed a fault but has been replaced with new one without too much hassle. Excellent communications and services from the seller. Highly recommended.
Great customer aftercare
The best measure of a company is not what they do when things are going right but how they handle things when they go wrong. Purchased this blanket 18 months ish ago for my Dad and he loves it. The control panel recently failed and a replacement panel was sent out no fuss. Would definitely buy from them agai
This heated throw is exactly what we were looking for and it does the job perfectly. What I like about it is that it has a digital controller and it keeps heated up for up to 9 hours. However it is not recommended to have it on for that length of time as the controller itself can get very hot which isn’t good? But generally speaking apart from that it is a fantastic product and it works reasonably well.

Mother always complains how it is cold in the house and blankets don’t do much for her, I saw this and thought of her instantly, turns off if she falls asleep can even take it on road trips with a adapter I bought her, I recommend this mostly for older people and disabled people like my mother and my self and yes for others that just get cold, I might get one of these my self once I walm back up thank you for this
Bought one each for my wife and I when energy prices went up and have to say they are a revelation. Our lounge is either stifling hot or chilly at ground level and our electric blankets made it such that a sensible room temperature but warm knees could both be enjoyed. Like a pair of old dears, but we care not a jot. We did have an issue with the controller on one and it was replaced promptly and with help from Hassan who also deserves a shout out.

I bought mine as I suffer quite bad with arthritis so feel cold a lot of time. Heats up quickly and only uses approx 4p per hour, which I save on central heating, which is using approx 1 per hour. Great present for parents and grandparents
Kept us warm through winte
Worked as expected. We have been using for 3 months, putting it over our legs in the evenings to keep warm. Haven’t tried washing it yet.

So soft ant cosy, what’s up so fast and keeps you very warm. Size could have been slightly bigger for the price. But still a nice blanket no shedding either like a lot of fury blankets have.
Lovely and warm
Excellent item for background warmth on chilly days without the need for central heating. We drape it across the sofa and sit on it. Really warming and only 4 pence per hour to use so a great money saver. The puppies love it too !!!

Bought one for my daughter and she liked it so much bought another for myself.
What a difference this has made to my bills. I drape myself in this while sitting at my desk working, which means I can have the heating off during the day. Uses a fraction of the power that an electric heater would use and cheaper than heating the whole house. Cosy, soft and as warm as you want to make it. Like it very much.
The best snuggly blanket eve
Absolutely love this blanket, it’s especially snuggly and the fact that it heats up to get you warm quick or stays on low to keep you warm so you don’t have to have your heating on, it’s just great. It’s still very flexible even though there are heating wires throughout. Best buy this winter.
The controller stopped working after two months. I’d previously registered this for an extended three year guarantee. But the seller took weeks to reply to my emails and photograph.
Update: after posting this review, I received an offer to replace the controller. I have therefore moved the rating from 1 star to 3. If I receive a new controlled and it works as it should, I will adjust the rating again.
Update 2: replacement controller very promptly received. I’ve revised the rating from 3 to 4.

Wow. I bought this for my wife to keep her a little cosier when working at her desk (our home office is a little chilly at times), and the warmth this generates is incredible.
The fabric is warm in itself. Very indulgent. Put the heat on, and before you know it you want to curl up and do nothing for the rest of the day………so comfortable. If I had to add a negative, it would have to be that it’s too nice and I can see us buying more for family and friends ahead of the next winter.
I’m pleased I don’t have one – I’d never get off of the sofa again!

Love the throw but the large papery sound of the safety label attached to the top of the throw is so annoying. If I cut it off would the 2 year guarantee be null and void? If it must stay attached it would be better to be down the side of the throw. If someone from Monhouse could answer this question it would good. The help page of the company is not recognised.

This is a good product so far but having just had a bad experience trying to return other faulty electronics to Amazon I hope this doesn’t go wrong too. Not happy with Amazon ‘customer service’ recently and having to speak to a chatbot for 40 minutes before I get through to an actual person who can help is not how I want to spend my weekend.
Keeps you snuggly
Bought this for my Dad. The blanket is a good size, soft, warm and comfortable even without turning it on. I am told by my Dad the temperature controls are easy to use and it provides good warmth. Cheaper than heating a room, heat yourself using the blanket instead!
This is a good product that heats up quickly and works well. Always a bit suspicious about whether it will last before it stops working as my past experiences with electric throws hasn’t been great. Will update here if it stops working
Monhouse heated throw
The white ‘woolly’ side of the blanket sheds white bits of fluff which is a little annoying when you are wearing all black. I assume it will get less as it ages.
I like the fact it is more lightweight than the other heated throw I have so it is easier to wear around the shoulders.
I have had this blanket (plus two of the single sized ones) for 12 months now.
I love that this size is big enough for two although I use it for my office as it covers my chair as well as my whole body. The temperature control is good as you have 7 heat options plus a low and high option and you can have it set to be on from 1 to 9 hours. It also washable and can go in the machine (not tumble dryer) which to brilliant.
I did develop a fault with the cable as it stopped working after about 11 months of use. However I contacted Monhouse and dealt with Hassan. Hassan went through the guide on how to use the blanket so as not to damage it, the instructions do tell you things like not to wrap the cable etc which I always follow. Hassan then arranged a replacement cable for me as I was still within warranty, which arrived quickly. Hassan was great and provided me with a fox and great customer service.
I’m now back to being warm in my office without having to use a cable from one of my other Monhouse blankets.
This is a lifesaver during winter. You don’t have to run the heater for the whole room to heat up and feel cozy. The blanket heats up quickly and the timer feature is really useful. The only thing I hate about it is the charging wire being attached while using it.
A nice soft throw. The warming effect is okay, but find it mostly heats in the middle with not much heat at the edges or top and bottom. Not sure if thats how it should be? Doesn’t get really hot just warm.
I bought it for the wife she loves it sits on the setting now with this over her legs keeping lovely and warm Has a timer on it so you can set it to 1.2.3 up to 9 hours I think then it will automatically turn itself off So if you use it on your bed you can sleep knowing it will go off
Like a hug from a friend
Bought this for my daughter, whose cold and damp student house was making her tired and ill. she described it as ‘a hug from a friend’, and having tried it myself I’m inclined to agree! Pricey, but lovely.
Cost and Warm
Cosy and warm, good value for money! Easy to use and gets warm pretty fast!
The initial blanket arrived faulty however they sent me a replacement and that one worked fine.
I bought the double grey shearling, very soft, I use it when sitting on the sofa with enough left over for the cat to snuggle up on, I’ve never been so popular it’s also great for covering my bed, I use the timer and have it warming the bed an hour before and it really takes the chill off the bed and continues to provide warmth throughout the night even when switched off, definately worth the price.
Update, I loved this product, got me through some very cold nights, unfortunately it stopped working after it got washed, I would recommend avoid washing it. Not enjoying my cold bed now. Just waiting on customer services to respond to my return request.
Update now 16 days since I contacted them with no response, customer service clearly non existent.
Super soft blanke
Bought for my 93 year old mother, she loves it. Easy to use, sometimes uses without turning on as blanket is soft and warm. Only thing I would add is the controller is cheap looking but it does its job.
If remote stops working...
My remote stopped working after a couple of months, contacted the supplier and they sent me another one straight away, and it works again. But they confirmed that if this happens again, I only need to change the fuse. Other than that it’s soft, cozy and really warm!
Bought the twin pack of dark grey shirling-lined singles for my elderly parents. Single throws suit them as they sit in separate chairs and can also use each independently in bed.
They are soft and cosy, even without being switched on and plenty big enough (you could probably drape one single over 2 small-medium adults sitting together if you didn’t want to be totally wrapped!)
Importantly for my parents the control is easy to use – quite simple, easy to see and to hold. I might have preferred a lighter colour which was out of stock but am now pleased I got these as will be easier to keep clean by wiping down. Although machine washable I think it may be a bit of a faff to remove the electrical switch part.
I did a lot of research before buying to ensure safety protection (electrical and overheating) and CE compliant as always best to go with EU standards (for which the UK has always previously had considerable input!)
Prices are rising ridiculously at the moment due to demand but still I’m pleased i got something useful, snuggly and that looks good quality.
This blanket changed my life. When I work remotely and sit at my desk, I wrap my feet and my legs in the blanket and it keeps me warm. Even when in meetings since no one can see below waist level on the camera.
Pros: timer feature so it’s not running all night. It also gets decently warm on highest setting. It’s soft and large.
Cons: after a while on the hottest setting, it will reset itself to lowest temperature (I’m assuming so it doesn’t get too hot) and you have to manually put it back on hot (even with a timer set). That’s the only thing I’ve not liked about it.
I also think it was too expensive. But so worth it so I don’t freeze this winter and can enjoy sitting at my desk.
Very comfy, nice looking, good sized blanket. Love that there are 9 different temperature settings; the high heat is VERY toasty warm and heat up the bed quickly, while the lower settings are great for maintaining that warmth and keeping off the chill, keep my feet and knees warm without making me so hot I wake up. Best thing is If I wrap the whole blanket around me while I’m at the computer I don’t need to put the heating on at all; the blanket pulls very little energy compared to my electric storage heaters or a radiant space heater. My only complaint is that although the blanket is 200x160cm, the heating elements stop short of the edges by almost a foot. I’d really like it if the heating part went closer to the edge so for example when it’s wrapped around my arms while I’m typing my wrists and hands could still be warm.

Ok – For the first couple times I thought I was losing my mind, but this blanket actually turns itself down in temp. When I want that instant boost of heat “high temp” I turn it onto high, but within some time it’ll go right to ‘Low’ or even ‘0’. No idea why. But overall, for the price, it is sooooo lovely and cheap to use. I use it every night watching a movie etc. Sadly, it is light weight, but with the fleece it is very snuggly. The heat is evenly distributed and quick to heat up. If heat level is specific (i.e., 1, 2, 3…) then it does not appear to change the setting and will turn off at the specified timing (1, 2, 3 hour). I use this every night and my electricity bills seems none the wiser.
I love it! It’s very soft, gets toasty warm and is versatile. I wanted it to have over my legs when working at home so I don’t need to put the heating on – it’s also great to warm it up before unplugging it and taking it into bed instead of a hot water bottle. It’s lovely and soft and my new favorite thing. Arrived next day.
I’ve now used this for a while – the ONLY downside: the connector for the electricity is extremely difficult to disengage – I struggle with it and I’m in my 50s – I think anyone with weaker hands or arthritis will be physically unable to disconnect it and hence would have to unplug from the mains and if for example taking it into bed, would have the electric cable and plug in bed with them.
Bought this item to use rather than putting heating on. It’s quite heavy and even if you used it without switching it on, it would keep you warm. It’s big! Great that you can unplug to use / wash. I’ve tended to use it when sitting at my desk working from home. Not sure how evenly the heat distribution is. Definitely get’s toasty! Would recommend.
I have had this electric throw for a few weeks now – opened it and checked that it work ok – then packed it away until two night ago as it turned a bit colder than I like. So the time has come to put it to a real test – works really well – very pleased.
My only concerns are that it is listed as watching washable and even shows a short video of someone putting in a washing machine – however instructions don’t seem so keen on this a say wipe clean. I actually purchased this because it stated machine washable.
This blanket is the best purchase i’ve ever made. Reviewing now after 8 months of daily use. The quality is excellent and it costs only pennies to run. I have just purchased another two for my parents for the winter, too.
100% a great investment- particularly with the current energy prices.
I am disabled and bought this for pain more than anything and so it is literally used all day and night long- every single day. It heats up in seconds and maintains temperature.
Controls are easy to use and after a few days you get used to the cord being attached- I find it easiest to keep this at the top right hand side.
Be careful not to let the blanket double over or bunch up on itself to where the internal wires would overheat- or leave sitting on top something that could be heated up and cause you to burn yourself on bare skin (careful with zips etc- the top temp is really hot if using continuously!) Timer works well.
Super comfortable for using on the sofa, or sleeping with- last winter I never used a duvet at all (or heating) as this blanket was much cosier, even once turned off!
The wires are channeled, so the blanket keeps it’s shape and the quality is good, so there isn’t a risk of wires being exposed.
It washes well. I use gel capsules in the drum and Unstoppables, and also toss in the tumble dryer- no issues at all. The cream shearling side has flattened somewhat a bit over time- but I do use this significantly more than most people likely would!
When not turned on, sometimes the blanket can seem a little more stiff as the wiring is a little more obvious then, but as soon as you switch it on it immediately softens the whole blanket (can do this and turn back off in a few minutes and will stay softer still for ages too)
I would recommend choosing this style of blanket over a mattress underblanket if you are undecided. While this can’t be slept on top of- you can simply lay this on top of the bedsheet with the duvet on top to heat up before getting in, then use on top to stay warm in bed. And you can also use in other areas around the house and share with others. Best of both worlds!
This is light, warm, and soft, and even without switching on will help keep you warm, and even better when you put it on. It heats up quickly, and I don’t usually go above number 3, which is enough for me ( I have a chronic illness which affects my body temperature. Just a couple of niggles: the controls allow you only to increase the heat, not turn it down. Why? So when you’re warm enough, and just want to turn it down a couple of notches to maintain the cosiness, you have to go all the way up to maximum and back up again. A nuisance. The other niggle is the advice that washing it will reduce its life. You will obviously want to wash it, so that is disappointing.
I suffer from chronic pain and in this cold weather it’s worse, my old electric blanket just started turning itself off and it wasn’t old but because I got it in a shop I couldn’t find my receipt, they would accept an exchange..
I thought I would buy this one, so far so good, some of the comments on this said it wasn’t all that but the majority were better than others so I thought I would try it out for myself.. it’s warms me up comfortably, it wasn’t the cheapest in the market but I didn’t want the cheapest, but it wasn’t the most expensive, it was middle market snd for that, I think it’s great value so far.. I’ve been using it a few months now didn’t want to review it straight away just incase something happened, but yes I like it..
I’m sure like many others who are disabled & reliant on benefits (as I am), Money is tight for all of us. I live in a disabled adapted property which has no gas & i’m only provided with VERY expensive to run, Electric storage heater radiators so for the past 3 years have gone without putting the heating on as I knew I wouldn’t be able to afford the electricity costs, Instead choosing to wear multi layers of clothes & covering myself with duvets & blankets when it became too cold.
My Best friend gave me an Amazon Voucher for Christmas & demanded i go straight online & order this heated blanket as she’s hated seeing me soooooo very cold which makes 1 of my disabilities much worse. She would have purchased it for me but wanted me to choose the colour I wanted!.

I can genuinely say this is one of the best spontaneous purchases I have ever made, by far THE best blanket I have ever had! I don’t usually leave reviews but I had to on this occasion.
Spending more time at home and on the sofa recently I needed a heated blanket to keep me warm so I don’t have the heating on constantly, making my heating bills go through the roof !
A friend recommended one from John Lewis but that was over double the price of this one and even my friend has conceded my one feels so much softer, thicker and even heats up faster!
It arrived quickly after placing my order and came I a wonderfully packaged box. Opened the packaging and the blanket looks lovely and feels so so so soft and comfy . The stitching is perfect (I’m a bit OCD!). I literally just plugged it in and used the reallybsimple controller to set the heat level. Within a few minutes I was snuggled up and nice and warm.
The packaging makes it ideal for gifts so I am going to buy another one as a birthday present for my mum! I might even get one for my now jealous friend!
If I ever have an issue with the blanket after a period of time or after washing it etc I will be sure to update my review, but if you don’t hear from me, I maintain this is one of the best heated blankets money can buy and would recommend to all
