It’s perfect for the job. Probably a little expensive for what it’s worth. Would be great if my partner/mother could also have a login for the app. Only gives them 15 mins at a time viewing time, and I have to share a new link everytime. I’d rather just take a nap, and let them watch the baby! Lol.

    So happy with this monitor!
We originally bought a different one and were so unhappy with it and then it broke so we bit the bullet and paid a bit extra for this one but we have not been disappointed!
Picture quality and sound are great!
I love that you can link it to an app so you can see baby even if you are out for the night!
The camera stand/ grips are amazing too!
We struggled setting up our last one as had nowhere to sit it so that you could see baby but this lets you use it as a stand or wrap it around things- it’s extremely grippy and doesn’t slip! Probably one of the best features in the box if I’m honest! And saved us having to buy an arm to hook the camera to for babies cot.
The monitor is a great size too and allows good movement in the toggle mode to see baby.
    Would definitely recommend!

I saw bad reviews about this monitor , anyway I just gave it a go . I have 3 months with it and it’s fully what I was expecting . Great quality , battery life is more that enough for what I use it . 5 stars for what I got .

Asides the picture quality. It’s a great monitor. I have not tried out the battery, so I can not comment on that.

This equipment is indispensable. I bought this for my daughter who’s husband is in hospital as a long term patient. With this set, he can log in remotely and see his baby during this difficult period. The sound and video quality is excellent even in a pitch black room and the features of white noise, talking books and intercom are excellent. Would definitely recommend.

We bought this camera from open box and its absolutely perfect!
So many features. For us the most important thing was to have camera view on the app, so my husband could check on us while hes working. He is able to zoom in and out, talk to us, check room temperature, take pictures on the app and so much more from miles away!
The picture quality is brilliant too. Its way better on the phone app, but good on the monitor too. Night vision is very clear.
Its notifies us if the temperature drops too low, if the baby is moving or crying.
Honestly, couldnt ask for anything more. Comes with a flexible mount, so its easy to attach it to any kind of surface.

Ok, so…After sending the last 2 baby monitors back on the same day we recieved them (Hubble and Hello Baby) for being utterly rubbish, we finally got the one we have been looking for.
We have only had it a few days so can’t comment in too much depth, but from what we have seen the Motorola VM855 is fantastic. As you can see by the photos, the picture quality, day, night and mobile is crystal clear, much much superior to the others we have tested. With suffering from acute anxiety this really allows me to see baby very clear and put my mind more at ease. The other features are fantastic too, white noise, selection of lullabys, 2 way talk back, remote tilt to see the whole room, fab mobile app with baby journel and remote viewing, the list goes on.
    GREAT GREAT GREAT!! Highly recommend!
    THANK YOU MOTOROLA!

    3rd Time Lucky!!!! Just Fab!

Night vision is clear. Easy to assemble and quick charge.
Comes with a stand that bends so you can attach it to the crib or other areas. Has temperature on it. Very happy. Was worried about previous bad reviews but am glad I went with it! Is a good price considering others are 200+

The camera and monitor are really great product, but the app and the ability to share access does not work well.
Share feature only allowed the person a 15 min period and would have to repeat access pass each time.

Good build quality. Screen quality not so sharp (not sure if it’s the camera or the screen). It would be a great monitor if it could be silent until noise or movement is detected (our baby listens to white noise so we always have to listen to it downstairs).

I love the features of the monitor, including the ability to zoom, pan, and angle the camera. However, the battery life of the monitor is very short and it requires charging very often. In addition, the temperature reading is very inaccurate, and so we can’t rely on it to tell us the temperature of the room. The monitor has options to play sound through the camera in baby’s room, but when these sounds are playing, they play loudly through the monitor as well and you can’t hear baby.

I don’t know why this monitor has so bad review. We had us for almost a year and we are really happy with it. Image and sound are really good, it has a good distance range usage. And the fact you can also monitor using your phone is great for when you are out and about. The only problem is that the connectivity on the app is not great sometimes but overall I think is good and I will buy it again.

After looking at many different products, due to security concerns with other cameras that communicate over the internet, we decided on this Motorola product. I did feel at the time that I was settling for a lesser product because it didn’t have 5 star reviews, however it seemed like the best one on Amazon in this price that had the features we wanted and from a reputable brand. I have to say I am 100% satisfied, the screen is great, we get clear and good reception in the kitchen on the ground floor when the baby is in our room on the first floor, and it is easy to operate. I don’t often leave reviews but felt I needed to boost the rating on this product. The only complaint is we have noticed is the temperature reads several degrees higher than other thermometers we have in the room, so that appears to be inaccurate. However, having said that I would buy it again if given the chance. Hope this review is helpful.

This is a quality product, well made and durable. It is easy to set up and use. Pan, tilt and zoom are controlled from the monitor. Picture quality on the separate monitor is excellent for the price. Camera is mains powered, monitor has a rechargeable battery so can be moved around the house. Range between camera and monitor will be more than enough for most families. My only negative point is i am concerned that the monitors stand might not be strong enough for lots of use

Reading the reviews I was a bit worried, however we haven’t had any issues with this camera. It works great, picture & sound quality is brilliant & it connects to your phone so you can watch baby when you are away from home (obviously partner will be at home lol)

There is a monitoring device which lets you know baby is moving & alarm feature if baby hasn’t moved or made a sound for a specific period of time.

We can speak to our child through the screen & the tilt pan zoom is great. Screen is large & clear. The blue light many have mentioned can be covered by some bluetack, not an issue. You do need to leave the camera on charge though as battery life not great, but the screen battery is fine. Any Samsung/Amazon Kindle charger will charge both parts.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI spent months researching baby cams. And I wasnt convinced on any given mixed reviews on all. I knew I wanted a separate monitor screen and ability to view over wifi as well. I took a gamble and bought this Motorola cam.
Gamble paid off. Been great. App works well. Monitor screen is large and bright. Good battery life.
A star deducted because not all settings are accessible on the monitor you have to use the app (e.g. music volume). And the app doesnt allow multiple Hubble account for the same cam (my wife and i log on using same account details on each of our phones)

Used for 4 months and still great. Buy it.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersAt first, I saw the bad reviews here and was afraid to buy it. But after a while, I noticed that those were complaining about expectations that are not real or they had never used a baby camera or security camera. I have plenty of experience in other Security, Pet and baby cameras.
This camera is truly amazing! I’ve mounted it in a lamp with the Star Grip (not included!), 30 cm from the cot, so I could have a better field of view and also keep it far from the baby or anyone around the cot.
    Highlights for me:
1- 5″ screen with a long battery: Gosh, the display is brilliant, easy to check from a distance, good sound, easy to use controls, long-lasting battery. It lasts the entire day out of the charger. Amazing.
2- Image quality and night vision: I can’t imagine a better one. High definition with or without light.
3- Sounds and music: From the screen, you can activate a song or a noise on the camera. I have used white noise several times to calm down my baby.
4-Mobile App: The App is free for essential functions and has a fee if you want more features, such as recording on the cloud, etc. The app is more than just an app. It is a future proof feature. After your baby grows up, you won’t be walking with a monitor everywhere, but you still want to keep an eye on him. Other than that, the camera can be repurposed as a pet camera or even a security camera.
5- General build quality: the product is beautiful, it is sturdy and well done.
6- Signal: It’s good! It just disconnected twice in 48h working non-stop, separated by three drywalls, 25meters away from the camera. This is a good one. The camera could maintain the connection even in an apartment building with several wifi signals. When it disconnects, the screen it beeps a pretty high pitch noise, warning you that it has lost the connection. To stop the beep, click on any button and move the screen a little bit to obtain the signal again. Easy.

It is pricy but it worth it. Sometimes there are some promotions, so, add to your wishlist and wait for it. I’ve looked for weeks and couldn’t find any better camera that packs so many features as this one.

Great product, nice build quality and works consistently.
Have the monitor running on the battery before we goto bed which is plenty long enough, then have the unit on the mains charger overnight by our bed.
The camera gives decent remote movement, the squid style gripper works well as had it on curtain pole and now on the end of the bed.
Both charger cables have a decent length on them, would say around 1.5-2m so no worries about getting power to the camera if in the corner of the room.
The night vision is very clear, and the app had been great to use with not much more delay over the wireless monitor included.
Only downside is the power light on the monitor is a very bright blue, which with the lights off illuminates our room, so would prefer a much dimmer one maybe underneath or an option to switch it off. The light on the camera itself is also quite bright but doesn’t wake my daughter, you can disable the blinking when streaming feature in the app but there will always be a solid blue led when powered on.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersTHE GOOD:
Working pretty well so far (4 months). The monitor connected to the camera automatically and the app is working well also.

There have been no connectivity issues. The batteries on both the monitor and camera lasted around 2.5 hours after a recommended 16 hour initial charge.

Night vision is working well. If people are having any issues with this, you need to make sure you turn off any lights which hits the room the camera is stationed; otherwise you may need to close the door.

    THE BAD:
There is a lag when controlling the camera tilt via the monitor and it is worse when doing so with the app but this is not a major issue as we normally have it still.

There is a annoying beeping sound when the camera disconnects either due to poor connection or the camera battery dying. Fortunately for me the signal strength in my house is usually above 75% most times and I have the camera and monitor more than 10 meters away. Also I have both plugged in most times so no battery issues.

Sound isn’t great but you can make out when they are crying or simply agitated. It might be a problem if you are trying to communicate with someone other than the baby but you can make out the words it’s just not crystal obviously.

I am wary of the many negative reviews so will update the good and bad as and when if necessary.

PS there was an issue with the order, which as expected Amazon dealt with quickly and satisfactorily.

After reading lots of mixed reviews on this product I am SOOOOO glad we bough this product. It is fab. The monitor is clear, giving night and day functions. It fixes onto anything and is wireless meaning we can use it anywhere in the house. We bought it because you can use it on your ipad and phone, which means we can be at the far end of our garden (100ft away) and still get perfect signal to monitor our baby. Whilst expensive it is worth every penny! The only downside are the cables, which other reviews also state – they do become a little loose, but that still wouldn’t stop me buying this product again.

It’s good camera when it’s working, we enjoyed the usage for the first month but since then it’s started to deteriorate…first the connectivity became patchy then the image disappeared on the unit but thankfully we installed the app but the app has a lag issue which really doesn’t help and you must logon each time to view it works via wifi 2.4ghz and it has about 5 sec lag.

The app needs improving as it has issues with moving the camera focus too much it doesn’t have the same control as the remote display (if the display didn’t fail that’d be best)

The night vision is amazing on the camera, shame again on the display failing (sending back for a replacement) worried the same will happen agai

Very good, like the large display, like that there is no sound feedback when in the same room as camera.
Don’t like that when I plug it in to charge, the device powers on (so have to immediately switch it off)
Don’t like that the electronic click sounds can not be turned down without turning down the speaker volume.
Don’t like the fact the camera unit does not have screw indents, i.e. cant “hook” it on where my last monitor was hanging from the wall, it has the nice grippy legs which are actually quite good, now I can just grip it around the cot top hand rail.
    Also quite pricey …
