Von Smallrig erwartet man nichts anderes
Ich mir daraus ein Schulter-Rig fr meine Sony FX6 gebau
Qualität gut - Schulterpad ein Witz!
Ich habe mir die Schulterplatte fr meine FS7 bestellt, da die anderen Hersteller mir einfach zu teuer sind. Mit Smallrig habe ich bisher immer gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Kein Billigkram – moderate Preise – Qualitt gut. Auch dies ist hier der Fall. Die Verarbeitung ist super. Ich musste auch keine Schrauben oder dergleichen nachziehen. Der “versteckte” Schraubendreher ist auch eine super Idee – wie lange er da bleibt ist fraglich, doch die Magnete zum halten scheinen recht stark zu sein. Kommen wir jetzt aber zu dem, was mich etwas strt: das Schulterpad. Als ich Silikon las dachte ich mir “super! Silikon klingt schn weich!”. Pustekuchen! Das Ding ist so hart, dass ich, nachdem ich probehalber meine FS7 komplett aufgebaut hatte, nach 3 Minuten Schmerzen in der Schulter hatte. Das Pad lsst sich entfernen. Ich habe jetzt einfach von hinten ber die ganze Lnge Rods hindurch geschoben und benutze ein gefttertes Schulterpad (auch von Smallrig) mit Rod-Aufnahme (siehe Bild). Damit ist die Kamera echt gut auf der Schulter zu fhren. Leider ist damit das schnelle auf und anbringen auf einer Schnellspannplatte wie dem VCT-14 nicht mehr “schnell” mglich. Aber das ist bei mir in Ordnung, da ich eh die meiste Zeit Schulterkamera mache. Leute, die immer zwischen Schulter und Stativ schnell wechseln mssen, sollten sich berlegen, ob das okay ist.
Rundum kann ich jedoch sagen, dass ich mit dem Kauf zufrieden bin und gebe daher 4 Sterne. Die Qualitt ist super und die anderen Funktionen gut durchdacht!

The great Shoulder mount really sturdy and solidly built, and love the camera is so easily adjustable on the shoulder rig mount. and easily switchable off the shoulder mount. however, if you have rigged focus motors or mailboxes it’s better to just keep the camera on the shoulder rig. and get a VCT plate for the shoulder rig to cip into

This arrived really fast. I had some issues with the stop block (pictured) but Smallrig’s customer support was really great, and they helped me work through the issue, with really detailed instructions and even sent photos to help me with my specific issue. I’m fairly new to the Smallrig ecosystem but I have about 20 of their products now, and so far, I’m really impressed! They’ve all been faultless and the only thing I had a slight issue with was this VCT-14 plate, but as I said, their customer support helped me out and made sure the problem was resolved. Thanks Smallrig!
Solid and reliable - used with C200
once I picked up the VCT plate the kti was complete. it sits soldily on the tripod and I can go from sticks to shoulder super quickly!

Shoulder pad is stationery cant adjust if needed. The rod holes are capped so you can not push your rods all the way through. Other than that it is what is it. made well.

Needed to get the Epic on my shoulder for a few shots. This worked. Needed a bit of work to get the viewfinder into the right place. But in the end it worked very well.

We bought this along with the SmallRig Quick Release Plate (2169) to use with our Sony FS7.
It’s a quick add-on to which you can easily attach the original FS7 dog bone arm.
The padding is good though firm, which might not give extreme comfort but will probably prolong its life.
The whole setup is still front heavy, especially with a big lens, so we might get a V-mount battery on the rails at the back to balance it better.

I Purchased This Shoulder Plate To Replace My Zacuto Plate.The Main Reason Was Adjust Ability. To Get My Sony FS7 Further Back On The Plate And Have More Control With The Handles. i Found Setting Up Alot More Quickly. I Thought Initially The Shoulder Pad Was Going To Be An Issue For Comfort, Just Pressing One finger Into The Shoulder Pad Was Too Easy But Once On The Shoulder It Is Comfortable Because All The Shoulder Mount Comes Into Contact At Once. The Smallrig Sliding Plate Comes In Handy To Fine Tune The Camera Balance While On The Shoulder. The Sony VCT Tripod Adapter Works Well With A Solid Click And NO Movement Once Locked Down. Front 15mm Rod Height Bracket Adjustment Is Good And The Bracket Can Be Flipped So Lens Support Brackets Of Various Designs/Heights Can Be Used.The Shoulder Bracket Takes Plain Ended 15mm Rods. I Think Smallrig Could Make Another Pair Of Forward Reaching Arri Rosette Brackets That Go Further Forward.Well Designed, Worth The Money, Does The Job Well.

Used with mounting a FS5, added a V-Loc battery using rods on the back and also have the small rig arms & handles for the remote grip.
Solid metal build, the tabs for tightening things up are small but also metal so can take some force and all have the ability to lift and twist to get into a better position.
Compared to other rigs I’ve shot with having the camera above the shoulder rather than in front makes it a lot more comfortable and stable. Shoulder padding is generous and comfortable.

Great product. mine was a very tight fit in my OE Sony VCT14 plate. I had to take a bit of sandpaper and take a tiny amount off the front V and from then on its been great.

Took a bit of a punt on this,used one before on an fs7… have to say I love it! Really solid on the vct plate fits perfectly on the 14, the foam cushion is really comfortable for those long shoots and the longer camera plate is brill! …really good product for the price it’s amazing! Highly reccomend.
