Good for a one-off job
I had a heavy parcel that needed to strapped up and it simply wasn’t worth buying a tensioning tool for this one job. This product did an excellent job, though tightening the straps by hand required two pairs of pliers for grip and quite some force. I’m keeping the remaining strapping and buckles for any similar jobs in the future. Highly recommended for similarly infrequent use.
Solid Performance with a Minor Hurdle - PET/PP Manual Strapping Tools Ki
I recently purchased the PET/PP Manual Strapping Tools Kit, and overall, I’m quite satisfied with its performance. The kit includes a Strapping Tensioner, Strapping Sealer, 100m Packing Belt, and Strapping Seals — all the essentials for effective strapping and banding. Here’s my detailed review:
Pros:
Comprehensive Kit: The inclusion of a tensioner, sealer, packing belt, and strapping seals in one kit is convenient. It provides all the necessary tools for effective strapping, making it a cost-effective solution.
Durable Materials: The strapping tools and accessories are made from sturdy PET/PP materials, ensuring durability and reliability during use. I appreciate the robust construction, which adds to the longevity of the tools.
Effective Strapping: When used correctly, the strapping tools perform admirably. They efficiently secure packages and provide a tight, reliable hold. The strapping seals also contribute to the overall effectiveness of the strapping process.
Cost-Effective: Considering the variety of tools included in the kit, the price is reasonable. It’s a cost-effective option for those in need of manual strapping tools for occasional use.
Cons:
Tensioner Requires Strength: The primary drawback is the difficulty in using the strapping tensioner. It demands a significant amount of strength to achieve the desired tension on the packing belt. This aspect could be challenging for users with limited physical strength.
Overall Impression:
The PET/PP Manual Strapping Tools Kit is a reliable solution for those seeking an all-in-one strapping and banding package. The durability of the materials and the effectiveness of the strapping tools make it a valuable addition to any packaging operation. However, the tensioner’s challenging usability may pose difficulties for users who may struggle with strength-related tasks.
Recommendation:
If you’re in need of an affordable and comprehensive strapping kit and have the physical strength to handle the tensioner, the PET/PP Manual Strapping Tools Kit is a solid choice. However, if ease of use is a priority, especially for individuals with limited strength, it may be worth exploring alternative options with a more user-friendly tensioning mechanism. Overall, a reliable product with a minor caveat.
A excerlant starter ki
When you have not got a lot of large parcels to do this kit is supplied with everything you mead. The only bad point is the instructions small print and bad grammar translated from China.
A good starter ki
The strapping kit is ideal for starting out because it contains everything you need to start packing items with strapping. It comes with the main tool you need called the tensioner and cutter. This can be used for cutting strapping and can be used as a tensioner to tighten plastic or polypropylene pallet strapping. It comes with plastic strapping which is light, flexible, and does not rust or stain the strapped item. Such a useful item if you have a business. It securely binds parcels so they’ll travel more safely and also stops contents from spilling out of the box and your boxes won’t burst open. Boxes are easier to lift as well. A great affordable set.
Nice ki
Well priced kit the only problem I had is the crimping tool handle length is short making it bit of a struggle to crimp but overcome with two lengths of pipe
Excellent for secure packaging
I picked this set up from Amazon Warehouse for about 55 so not quibbles on value for money. The bundle contains everything you need for strapping parcels, pallets etc.
The tools are all metal and fell robust. After a couple of practice runs I got the hang of setting the tension to allow inserting edge protectors, completing tensioning then crimping the strap.
The strapping certainly adds far enhanced security to boxed heavy items in comparison to parcel tape. Well worth considering if you are a regular shipper of heavy items in boxes or on pallets.
Easy to use, good strong clips
I thought this would be a lot harder to use but as it turns out, it was a very easy operation.
The straps are good strong nylon based with metal clips for clamping.
The tension it can hold is quite good, managing to strap a pallet of boxes for international travel and all straps survived the trip.
Excelle
Does the job perfectly, and is cheaper than many alternatives. Next day delivery was a bonus. Even a newbie like me mastered the technique quickly. Very robust piece of kit.
Recommended.
I purchased this as a I had a large expensive parcel to ship and wanted to make sure it was all bundled together well.
I’m sure there are easier and quicker methods available but this tool did the job. The metal band crimps do take a bit of effort to squash and don’t always squash flat but ultimately it did it’s job.
Does what it says on the tin...
I needed to strap some items down to a pallet for shipping and so purchased this item as it included everything I needed at a good price. Instructions were a little Ikea-esque, but after a couple of practice runs it was easy enough to figure out and I was able to get my pallet strapped and shipped.
