    Nice phone system
Very pleased with the phones except for the set up instruction, although you can work out how to set the system up, eventually, they could have been made simplers and clearer. Once up and running very pleased.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy To Operate
The hands free phones where easy to install. I particularly liked the sync function that enables any data inputted or changed on one phone (e.g. addresses) to be automatically updated on the remaining handsets.
Appears to be a very good buy.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersImpressive product at a reasonable price.
We decided to replace, after many years use, our set of four cordless phone (with answerphone) after the buttons became unreliable despite thorough cleaning. This set seemed to provide all the facilities that we were used to, plus the useful feature of a speakerphone setting.

I charged them up overnight and connected them to our phone line today. I was pleased that setting the time on one phone, sent the same time to the other phones. I was really impressed when I started to enter our friend’s phone numbers – they were automatically transferred to the other phones.

Overall, I’m really impressed with the system which was, in my opinion at a very reasonable price.

    Easy to program
It was easy to learn how to program. I only had to do one and the rest were all done!
They don’t like being off the charger for long, so if I’ve had one in the garden, I swap the handset over to a different base. The answer machine automatically gives the day and time of each message.

    These are superb
We have always had four phones in the house due to having three floors. The phones are really good and work exactly as you would expect. The only negative I have found is that on the very odd occasion when you place the phone back on the charging pack it does not seat correctly. It looks correctly stowed but then later you will hear a bleep alarm which tells you the phone is not charging properly. Apart from that they are great.

These work well and do the job. I think they could be a bit easier to understand how to use and I would prefer if the backlight colour was not orange but something else like blue or white. These have features such as loudspeaker, answering machine, can turn off the ringer on individual units, can ring other units, and the battery lasts a long time.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersEasy to set up and worked straight away
All working as soon as being plugged in. Only criticism is that the volume (to hear the caller) is very low and you cannot set it higher. You have to toggle the button when you actually are on the call which is inconvenient. Would like to just set it at the volume I want.

Note : just found a way of setting the volume and it holds the volume at the level set just fine.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGood value for the money.
After the initial recommended 6-7 hrs of charging, the phone set up was simple, all handsets connected to the base station without any input by me. Very simple menu to set the functions of the phones.
So far, very pleased with these. I had a previous Panasonic set for 4 – 5 years and changed to another top brand thinking it was an upgrade, but these failed after about 2.5yrs. So have gone back to tried and tested quality.

Poor, small written instructions difficult to follow.
The system could be excellent, but I had great difficulty setting up many systems such as the alarm, contacts on individual phones, etc. Many facilities I do not want, make simple things I do too complex. It replaces a similar phone system that was much easier to work – I thought I was replacing just that. Cannot properly comment on the volume control above since I cannot do it! WHY NOT GIVE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ELDERLY?

Four handsets and an Answering Machine, all for 60 – delivered Free!
    What’s not to like?
I previously owned a 3-unit Panasonic set which I purchased about 15-20 years ago, and it never disappointed – until now, when the display window on one of the handsets faded and became impossible to read.
Fast-forward to today and here we have an improved set in terms of functionality – a nice design and easy to use.
The only (minor) issues I have with this set are
    a) the main Base Unit is very, very light and needs a couple of small patches of Velcro to keep it in place, and
    b) the Ring Volume could be improved by increasing it further by about 20%.
But these details are not going to spoil my purchase, and I am extremely pleased overall.
Quite a bargain, considering that similar alternative-brand packages are offered in excess of 100.

This update is, unfortunately, going to highlight only negatives and, based on that, this set of four is not the bargain it was originally perceived/stated to be…
Firstly, their shape is awkward, making them clumsy and awkward to handle for some users.
Then, the keypads have already started to show signs of wear which, considering something like 90% of our calls (low users at that) are made via mobiles or Internet, suggests a major flaw.
After the Contacts were keyed into the system, one of the handsets proved faulty, such that if I wanted to contact say Alison (key ABC), I got Dawn, Elizabeth, and Francis (key DEF), and so on down the alphabet! This only came to light after the Returns Period had elapsed.
Critically thought, and most significant, is the poor/low level of volume (on all handsets) when set at maximum. You would, if so inclined, stand more chance of hearing a gnat fart at times.
And if the gnat was to fart in the wrong place, there is every chance it could blow the base units a few inches down the shelf/desktop if they are not Velcroed to the surface.
So, think carefully. Low price is not necessarily the bargain you might think it is, but it’s probably better than queueing outside a phone box on a wet and windy night! (If you can still do that….?!!).

A big disappointment. Mugged by a trusted friend...
Oh dear. What a disappointment. I’ve always felt that Panasonic were the only phones like this worth buying. Previously, the quality of the phone, the design, the durability etc could not be bettered. These are adequate phones, but nothing like the Panasonic phones I have always known. They remind me of the stuff BT sold at one time. Don’t get me wrong, they will do the job, it’s just that to me there’s nothing special about them now. These look and work as if they could have been made by anyone. Whereas before I would never have even considered looking at phones like this from a different manufacturer, since these are so ordinary I would now.

The worst aspect is the battery life when not on charge. Previous models could be left lying around and used for ages when not on charge. These seem to be flat in a matter of a few days. I know they should be kept in the cradle but in the real world that’s not what happens.

I feel like an old and trusted friend has mugged me. I know it’s foolish, but I felt quite sad when I saw these… BTW, I cannot understand what on earth these categories are that Amazon are creating. What is “Sheerness”? The only product that I would think of would be stockings or tights. These phones have a rating for volume control. That’s not normal. Does it mean there is one? Or that it’s easy to use? Or that it produces loud noise?

    OK - Not Grea
Replaced our old BT phones. They are OK but only store 40 numbers which I should have noticed prior to purchase. But they work well. Not exactly intuitive and you actually need to read the instructions in order to retrieve last number etc. so a little frustrating but they are what they are. Quality is good as expected and reception seems to be excellent so apart from the storage being less than we need, and the less than intuitive buttons – they do what they say on the box. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend but cannot condemn them either – so only four stars overall. Wouldn’t purchase again, just can’t be bothered to send them back!
