Glasses are great, checked them over appear totally genuine. Only gripe is they came in a rather tatty ray ban box. These may have been returns. That said they are like new and the price was excellent so I will live with that small issue.

These are really nice sunglasses. They fit my face surprisingly well, unlike most ray bans. They are heavy, sturdy, and seem durable. The only problem, and it is more than a minor annoyance, is the heft of the sunglasses. They are really heavy and slide down the bridge of your nose easily and often. Odds are you will find yourself pushing them up frequently. Other than that, they are great sunglasses, and provide a good amount of protection for your eyes
Great glasses, as always, but it explicitly said polarized on the very last checkout screen, and these aren’t polarized. I’ll keep em, but getting stuff on Amazon feels more and more like gambling these days…

Das ist meine zweite Caravan. Leider habe ich die 55mm Variante gewhlt, obwohl die 58er besser gepasst htte. Aber das ist halt das Risiko, das man beim Onlinekauf hat, wenn man nicht exakt wei, was man braucht. Trotzdem ist die Caravan ein toller, wertiger Klassiker. Wer wre James Bond, ohne dieses Schmuckstck? Ein Streifenbulle an der Temse 😉

Another great pair of Ray Bans. Light weight and fits me just perfect. Very stylish. The gold frame is more of a dark gold and the lesnses are dark green. Screens the sun perfectly. Comes in a Ray Ban’s black case with a booklet and a cloth. Can’t go wrong with these. Beautiful.

Einzige Kritik gibts fr die Verpackung: der Versand Umschlagkarton und der Orginal Ray Ban berkarton waren schon bis zur hlfte zusammengestaucht,entweder wollte der Herr vom Paketdienst das Pckchen in den Briefkasten stecken oder es wurde was schwereres draufgestellt. Nur gut das die Brille zustzlich im Lederetui war .
Love them. I had my other pair for 4 years and recently lost them. Amazon had me back in business in just a few days, and they were 35 bucks cheaper than I paid the last time I bought them. They fit perfect and wear like iron. Ray Ban is the way to go for great quality eye wear.
These were exactly what I wanted but they were much too small for my face. Honestly, a child or very little woman could wear these but definitely not a man. I have re-ordered the larger size and hope they fit better! Quality was spot on though!
I purchased these in 2012 after owning a pair of Ray Ban New Wayfarers. I wanted something more stylish and more vintage looking. These are light, the earpieces practically disappear on your face, and the lens quality is outstanding. They’ve been dropped many times but so far, they’re still gleaming like new. The nose pads can irritate my nose after long periods of wear, but they’re still way more comfortable than my optical glasses.
I wear these when I know I’m going to be in the sun for a long time because they don’t give me big tan lines on the side of my face. I tried a 55mm, but ended up needing a 58mm to fit my big head. The lenses on the 58mm are a tad taller than I would like, but they provide excellent sun protection and they don’t look bad on me at all. Ironically, I bought my dad a pair of 55mm American Optical sunglasses and they’re almost exactly the same size and shape as the 58mm Caravans. They do provide more wrap than the American Optical.
I’ve gotten a lot of compliments about these, maybe more than any other pair of sunglasses I’ve ever owned.

Die Ray Ban Caravan gehrt ja so ein Bisschen zur Rocker-Grundausstattung, s. dazu Noel Gallagher oder auch Johnny Depp. Entsprechend gro ist der Coolness-Faktor dieses Modells, das es zwar noch nicht so lange wie die Pilotenbrille (Aviator) gibt, aber doch eine lange Historie aufweist. Durch die zwei unterschiedlichen Gren kann man das Modell auch fr schmalere Gesichter nehmen, ohne dass der halbe Kopf dahinter verschwindet. Die Glser sind super, schtzen gut vor der Sonne, das mitgelieferte Etui sehr schn und man kriegt sogar noch einen berblick ber die bekanntesten Ray Ban-Modelle mit Erscheinungsjahr. Alles in allem ein sehr gut er Kauf.

-Durability, for me thats a big issue. The frame won’t stay in shape. Because there is no bending mechanism, the metal will bend and make the shades loose on your face. I always need to adjust it. In the long run I believe the metal will deteriorate and fixing the frame would be an issue.
Overall they are great sunglasses for the price. I’ve had them for over six months and they still look great.
A little smaller than expected, but fits okay. I like the gunmetal color and the green tint/shade is jut right. All the authentic security features seem to be in place. Got this from Amazon directly so I know its genuine. You have to be careful with secondary market re-sellers. Most of them are not authorized and knockoffs are flooding from China. If in doubt, go to Ray Ban’s website and search for authorized re-sellers. Amazon is on the list.
These glasses were excellent quality! All original, arrived in the Ray Ban Box, booklet, cleaning cloth, protective plastic sleeve over one temple to keep things from rubbing together in the box, snap front carrying case, exactly what I expected to receive. The weight, feel, and over all look of the glasses were fantastic. Lenses were super clear, just over all awesomeness! The only problem was my fat face, I probably should have ordered the 58mm frames, but didn’t want to take another chance of re-ordering and deciding they just don’t look right on ME. They look awesome on others which is why I wanted them. I was going to give them to my girlfriend because I love the look of them so much, but she’s not a sunglass hoarder like me, so after a quick try on and look in the mirror I decided to ship them back for someone else to enjoy. If you’re thinking of ordering these but are worried about quality or “knock offs”, don’t be…these are the real deal!
I have a narrow face but a 7 1/2″ head size and these fit good, the 58mm in this style were too big for my face. The 55mm fit better. I do wonder if a slightly smaller size would have even been better, but I understand 55 mm is the smallest currently made. I have 2 pairs- one in the silver gumental colored frame and the other in the gold colored frame. I get way more compliments with silver glasses as it goes with my salt and pepper gray hair.
Lets me start by saying I love glasses and not only that, I am loyal to the multiple pair that I own. That being said I was pretty pissed when some punk kid stole my bag off the beach with my favorite pair, which was a pair called the tonette by electric visual. Great glasses, light, stayed on the face, and looked good but this time around I wanted something a little different. I had seen a pair of these worn around only once and I noticed they werent the over worn aviator style, one of the reason I got these, and immediatly fell in love. Went to the mall the next day and wasnt too surprised when the guy said “for you ill give you a nice deal and only charge you 120.00” needless to say, I gently put them down and walked out. Later that day, I ordered these for 30% off the mall price and got them 2 days later. PRAISE THE LORD FOR PRIME.

-they are a little small but fit my face fine, if your looking for a lot of coverage or have a big head…these probably arent for you
-wire frame, these are my first wire frame glasses and yes they are more sensitive than my old pair but im still rocking them, if you cant baby a pair of glasses dont be surprised if you bend them little

I really enjoy these sunglasses. I even got them a day earlier than I expected. These look to be legitimate Ray-Ban sunglasses. The left lens has the RB etched in the glass, frame states it was made in Italy, and even the nose pieces state Ray-Ban on them. I was very happy with this purchase. I would say however when I look for Ray-Ban sunglasses on Amazon, I look for ones that are sold by Amazon, or fulfilled by Amazon, that way if your unhappy with your purchase, there shouldn’t be a runaround with returning your item.
Sharper looking (imo) and less common than ordinary Aviators these 55mm Caravans were delivered in perfect condition. A high quality metal frame is perfectly married with a pair of exceptionally clear G-15XLT glass lenses that give a natural view of the world and do not over saturate colours which can become tiresome after a time.
I have many pairs of expensive sunglasses including Oakley and other Ray Bans but these Caravans have instantly become my go-to glasses – highly recommended.
Was cautious at first but after reading other reviews and looking at their website I decided to order. My glasses very delivered in quick time and are the real deal.
The G-15XLT came with a brown case and a giant G-15 sticker on the lenses. Obviously brand new. The
Size: The g-15s that arrived say 55/14/140 on them. These are a fine and I like them
The “Green” option came in a black case and are Crystal Green lenses, this means they are glass which is what I actually wanted. They are more scratch resistant.
Size: the Greens arrived and say 58/15/135.
The two sizes are very similar. You can notice the lenses on the 55’s are just a touch smaller, but I only really notice when I smile and my cheeks don’t touch, but they touch slightly on the 58’s. I do not know what the difference is between the 140 and 135, they feel almost identical to me.
TL:DL – The “G-15 XLT” and the “Green” option are NOT the same thing and they will be different if you order both. I’m not sure if the glass lenses only come in 58 or what. I was not given a size option, but am not upset about it either way. The difference between 55 and 58 is negligible and the difference between Acrylic g-15s and glass lenses is more significant for your purchase.
Love the classic look, love the fit, and love the price of this product! I’ve tried the traditional and iconic aviators, but they were always too big for my petite face and I saw them everywhere. The square bottom of these Caravans set this pair of glasses apart and fit my smaller face much better. I was skeptical of ordering Ray Bans on Amazon in case they might not be legit, but it has all the proper markings: the etched logo on the lens as well as on the nose pad, and “Ray-Ban + size code” is on the underside of the nose bar. Purchasing through Amazon saved me over 30% as opposed to ordering directly from the RB site. The “risk” paid off. I have no questions or reservations about this purchase. The only regret I have is not going for polarized lenses, but even without it, these are perfect for a sunny day!
This is my first pair of Ray-Bans. I couldn’t resist the Amazon price (including tax and shipping within the US), which was $45 less than the price on the Ray-Ban website and around $165 less than the retail price here in the Philippines. I chose the Caravans because stores don’t carry this particular frame shape. I’ve seen lots of imitations of Classic Ray-Ban styles like the Wayfarer, Clubmaster and Aviator.
The angled frames suit my round face and are very retro (Hyde in That 70’s show wears square aviators). The Gold and G-15XLT (meaning greenish black) has the old school vibe that I was looking for. I’m a very petite girl and the 55mm is loose on me, but I can easily have it adjusted in an optical shop. I also have to keep this pair in its protective case all the time because the arms are very delicate.
I love the glasses. They look and feel great.
I did notice a some glare on the backside when driving. At first I thought it was a smudge and kept trying to wipe it off. I then realized it was a slight reflection from my side window on the rear of the left lense.
They still are great glasses and I wear them constantly.
Really love this style as an alternative to the Aviator (which don’t work well with my face.) Classic design, quality frame and lens. Reasonable price considering the cost of other “designer” styles. I needed to adjust the nose pads when I got mine and not being a regular glasses wearer this was a little fiddly. Take your time or have your optometrist help you.

Whatever your business, these glasses will take you there in style. Their solid, light construction offer reassuring protection from those pesky UVA/UVB rays. I only wish I would have sprung for the polarized lenses.
These are the 3rd pair of Caravans I’ve owned over the years. The 1st pair were chrome frames and got mangled one time when I had set them on the trunk of the car to fill-up and drove away without them. Went back after only 100 yards or so, but by then they had been clipped by another car and were toast. Kept the lenses, sent the frame back to B&L (when they were still in Rochester — and when customer service really WAS important to the company) and they sent back a brand-new pair of black-framed beauties — FOR FREE!
This pair recently experienced a broken frame – right at the junction of the lower curved piece that holds the lens frames together. (How this happened, I have no idea. I was wearing them. Put them in my shirt pocket. Took them out, put them on, and the lens was still in my pocket!) Now, Bausch & Lomb is owned by Luxottica (in Atlanta, GA.) Not entirely friendly, I would say, especially in the tone of the service rep’s voice and bluntness. And I was told my only hope of getting any kind of satisfaction was to ship the broken pair to them and after examination they would decide whether it was a manufacturing defect or a customer caused one. Believe me — there are NO damage marks on these black frames. The frame just cracked due to what? Fatigue, I guess. If judged in my favor they’d give me a substantial discount (40%, I believe) off list price on another pair that they might have in stock at the time. Egads! Talk about leaving you feeling helpless. NONE of the frames and lenses shown were to my liking, so I opted out of that choice and decided to search Amazon for a pair to my liking.
So, this brings me to the new ones — the subject at hand. The lenses on these are advertised as being 55mm wide, which they are. However, the original Caravans were 58mm wide = a small but perceptable difference, especially in field-of-view coverage AND how they look on your face. The G15 lenses seem to be the same tint, and the color (gun metal grey) is very nice. They fit well, and are what one would expect given the name RayBan. Therefore, I recommend them.
[Footnote: As for my broken 58mm black-framed pair — I looked up repair shops on the I-net, found 2 that seemed to talk a good game, picked one (in Cincinnati) and shipped them off today to have the frame laser welded. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they’ll come back in usable shape (as promised) and I will again have my Old Faithfull’s back. $35 to save a no-longer-made classic pair of RayBans is worth it in my book.]
I find them stylish and prefer them to my cheaper, but more authentic AO sunglasses. They’re more bit frail and thin, but that also makes them lighter and more comfortable. Style is style, but for my money and my face, I prefer these to the “droopy” aviators.
Per sizing… I love my 55mm lenses, which are “comfortably small” for me as a male, 5′ 11.5″.
For reference, my AO Pilot sunglasses in 55mm are somehow much larger framed, so I’d recommend that if you already own or have tried on the AO Pilots, to upsize if switching to the Caravan (or downsize if switching to the AO Pilot).
I have a pair of pilot glasses from American Optical in addition to these, but I love these for different reasons. The AO’s are utilitarian, but the Caravans are a classic, dressy, non-fussy style that looks good on pretty much anyone, and stay put better than the standard military saber earpieces. I have a large round face and they fit great with a bit of tweaking of the arms, at 55mm. I probably should have gotten 57mm, but no one else has them regularly, especially at these prices. The green glass is a great color, my daughters keep stealing them to wear, and mine, at least, were made in Italy.
