This foldable solar panel is well made and rugged. Perfect fit for my VToman Jump 1500. No adapter needed. It does have several adapters for other brands. Supplied 58 watts to my power station when optimally aligned. Very pleased

I want to like this panel because it has amazing coating, I bought it on sale, and I don’t want to look for another panel to waste time, but I can’t get 100W, or even 85W out of it. The most I got is 65W. I will update if I get more success.

Bought this to charge a portable power bank. It was on sale and a super value. I was impressed by the quality of the solar panel and it’s portability. It comes with a variety of adapters for other power banks to charge and also has two usb charging ports. Took it camping and it kept my devices charged. Highly recommend this 60 watt solar panel.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersCaveat: This is the first solar panel I’ve used so I have nothing else to compare it to. However, I was quite pleased when it fully charged my Anker Powercore 10,000mAh battery in about 4 hrs. Weather conditions were 100% sunny in late October in central Ohio so the sun was quite low. We were camping but there was a clearing next to our site. I was able to prop it against a tree so that it faced the sun as directly as I could make it. I came back after a four hour hike to find the battery fully charged. My next test will be to lay it out on the roof outside our south facing window during a partly cloudy day. I will update this review then.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI used this on a fishing trip in alaska – where we camped and floated down a river for 8 days. This solar panel charged all my stuff – was left out in the rain – got tossed around the boat – and it worked like a champ. Good product – does what it is supposed to do and then some.

I have my iphone ,android phone , bluetooth speakers , work lights , battery fans , power banks , battery car hoovers , laptop ………you name it and this miraculous solar panel feeds them all , no matter how hungry they are !! Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersNot used it a lot as of yet, but so far am very happy with it. It’s missing the legs some other panels have to keep it on a certain angle, but I bought it to go on a boat deck, so they wouldn’t have been used anyway.

In full sunlight, connected to my Bluetti EB55, it was actually reporting as generating 115W at one point, I managed to grab a picture of it at 108W.

Just need a lot more sun now, and not the overcast weather we’ve been having, to take full advantage of it.

Little panel generates a lot of powe

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLove this product, does exactly what it is supposed to. Charges my portable jackery battery to full in about 4-6 hours of direct sunlight on a clear day. Sometimes my jackery said it was getting 53 watts of power input from the panels, which is pretty impressive given that most of the time the panels don’t usually get anywhere close to the label(usually you’d only see ~30 on a clear sunny day using a 60 watt solar panel from experience)

I bought this to support my Rockpals 250Watt power cell. On a sunny day this was putting our more charging power than my 1200 watt gas generator that I also use to charge my Rockpals battery with. Only downfall is not using it in the rain.

I purchased this Solar Panel Charger along with the ROCKPALS 300W Portable Power Station. After charging my cell phone, iPad, GPS and cell phone battery overnight, the power was at 86% on my power station. I set the solar panels outside to charge the power station before starting my workday on a sunny day with some cloud coverage. When I checked back at noon, the Power Station was fully charged. The quality of the carrying case was also impressive.

Charges up a Jackery 240 in full sunlight pretty quick (just a few hours); even in low light (cloudy days) the wattage is still decent enough to top off the jackery. Also charged the jackery and my phone at the same time. The portability and small footprint is excellent, the case is very sturdy and will wear well over time, but it is heavier than I expected. Just wish the RP081, which can be configured in parallel, was available at the time, otherwise I would have bought that instead of this one.

We use the solar panel often to charge the phones, recharge the solar battery while we are on the porch enjoying the warmer spring days. We have only been on one camping trip since we purchased the solar panel and this device worked well recharging our AllWei solar generator during the day so that we could use at night. We are satisfied with the purchase and will keep Rockpals in mind when we upgrade to the 100 or 120 W solar panel.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOriginally I was disappointed with the Rockpals 60 watt panel. My lifestyle covers vast off-grid terrain of mountains and sea in a very wet environment; and i use and compare different panels from different companies. The customer service actually made a big difference; and im not sure if it is possible, but the panel seemed to improve over time. This past winter temps dropped under 20F for many days and the 60watt charged my phone excellent with 2hrs a day. Im curious about the longevity. One panel i have from a different company is pretty much falling apart after 3yrs of constant portable use. This 60watt is very rugged and easy to set up on a small boat or on random trees.

I had this for about a year and half, used it a few times for charging smartphones and other devices. Recently I bought a Jackery Explorer 240 and charged it with that. After a second charge, the internal components fried. Turns out it was a bad resistor. I processed an exchange via warranty claim and the rep I spoke with was very helpful. That is why this review earned 4 stars instead of 3.

The replacement solar panels work well and I noticed their USB charging port is now RoHS certified so probably a bit better quality control.

Overall I would recommend this solar panel, however your solar generator will charge a lot faster using 100W+

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis rockpal 60 watt panel folds up to 14″x14″ compact size for portability , and unfolds to fill my windshield as a shade and light weight solar power generator. Maximum length to fill the width of the glass, minimum solar output to recharge the 250 watt power station in a daytime. Securely locked inside the car.
Versatile attachment points with clamps and paracord to a handy patio roof, or any handy tree to keep it off the ground and directed sunward. Charging a 250 power station, two phones and a power bank in the accessory pouch, during a mandatory public safety blackout.

I really enjoy the size of the product. It comes with lots of adapters so I can expand my power banks in the future without being limited to a specific brand. It’s lightweight and very well built. I bought this to use with a Sauoki 150wh portable battery pack. I haven’t used them together yet, but I’m very happy to know that Rockpals is very upfront about compatibility and lists very plainly that the two items are compatible with each other. The only thing I think that could be improved is that there is no way to stand up the panels to face the sun on their own and must be propped up at the correct angle, which isn’t a big deal.

This works great! We were fortunate to have almost a full week of sunny days, but opened it up to charge our phones only an hour or two before the sun went down after hiking every day. We were able to get a rapid full charge directly off the solar panels on two phones in that little bit of time. Never once ran out of battery power despite difficulty with getting a signal.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI bought this to use with the ROCKPALS generator. Inside the zippered pocket there are ports on a small, box-like item attached to the unit. The ports can be used to charge USB type devices (such as a cellphone) that can be placed inside the pocket for protection from the sun. When the panels are unfolded and placed in the sun, a red light on the box indicates the panels are active. A wire and plug for the generator are also attached inside the zippered pocket. This plugs into the generator and the generator starts to charge. The solar panel charger is very easy to use and is handy to have as an additional source of power for the generator.

Worked great out of the box. On 3rd camping trip it began to charge at a very low rate, and then completely stopped charging my solar generator. Usb still worked fine. I emailed support and they shipped me a new set of cables and adapters which got me up and running again. On a summer day with sun this unit will fully charge 2 jackery 160 units. This is plenty of power to run camping lights, a portable projector, Nintendo switch etc. I’d recommend the larger 100w panel if you plan to run a cooler or something more demanding. I like the grommets, makes it very easy to tie to the roof of a car and run the cables through the sunroof. This is the best setup because we can move the car to sunlight throughout the day.

This worked great for my camping trip, it was a little unpredictable while charging phones directly but worked great when charging my power bank and power station so that I could charge my devices at night so that never became a relevant issue. It folds up nice and easy and feels very durable. I am overall satisfied with the product and will most likely buy future products from you guys.

For the most part this is a great product. The only thing it is lacking is kickstands. Finding the sun while at a campsite requires moving the panels often and to places where there may not be something to lean it against. Then you have to find rocks or use something to prop it towards the sun. Because of this I won’t purchase another solar panel from any manufacturer without a kickstand. It’s cheap and very functional and no reason not to include it.

Update: Took it for a test to be sure the foldable solar panel would work with the Jackery and it was great, no issues.
Purchased this product, received it the next day. Bought this solar panel mainly because it is compatible with my Jackery 160, as well as other power station brands. The folded product is light weight, closes securely, and is easy to carry. Can’t wait to give it a test run this weekend.

I managed to set this up and plug it into my Jackery 160 Power Station. In slightly less than 100% full sun, it was putting out 30 + watts, as much as the wall charger for the power station puts out. This combination should work well enough to power and charge all my electronic devices. Now I just want to come up with a light weight, simple stand I can use to position these panels more directly at the sun during peak hours.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI bought this to replace 2 goal zero 20 watt panels that both mysteriously stopped working within about a month of each other. I had them chained along with a nomad 13 and 7 for a supposed output of 60 watts, though I think 33 watts was my highest output from them according to the guage on my yeti 400. Possibly line droppage had something to do with the lower numbers since there was about 6′ of cabling between each set of panels.

I’ve had these panels for about 2 1/2 weeks now and am really pleased. My highest output from them has been 43 watts so far. I get a steady 12(ish) watts during overcast weather, whereas the gz 60 watt combination would get maybe 5. Pretty much the same results for both when laid across my dashboard.

I don’t know the full potential of these panels since my batteries have been maintained at 80% charge or above since I received them. The first day I used them it was a bit overcast so I was never able to see their full output on a battery below 40%. Thats low enough that the charge controller on the Yeti 400 would basically allow as much incoming wattage as it was receiving. That first day brought me up over 80 and it hasn’t been much lower since then.

These panels have zero problem keeping my yeti(s)150 and 400 fully topped off.

They seem sturdy and so they are a bit heavy. Probably not the best choice for things like backpacking or hiking but a definite “should have” for your vehicle in case you get stuck somewhere. Charging a phone or tablet, even in moderately cloudy conditions, would be no problem at all.

I would recommend to the manufacturer that they include a few grommets or other types of attachment points along the sides. I use these in my van, which has a small rain gutter running around the perimeter of the roof. That rain gutter is a perfect spot to hang solar panels from, via carabiners, during fall through winter months when the sun stays low over the horizon even at midday.

I would definitely recommend these thus far.

Edit/addition: So, it’s rare that I’m so happy with a product that I add to my initial review.

That said, I’ve had these panels for 5 or 6 weeks now and I’m probably happier now than when I posted my initial view.

I could probably add another large battery into the mix and still end up with them all fully charged a vast majority of the time.

These panels blow my old goal zero panels out of the water for much less money!

I haven’t rain tested them yet (and probably won’t) but even through gloomy Seattle weather they collect a respectable amount of power.

I also have not tried to see if I could pull in more than the 43-44 watt peak I saw after I first received them, simply because the batteries they are charging have not gotten low enough to ever allow that much incoming power.

The only 2 cons I see so far are that:
    1) the covering is “frosted” which means you need to keep them clean. The wind won’t blow the settled dust off of them, you will need to wipe them down between uses for maximum efficiency. I have no problems with that so it’s more of an observation than an actual con.

    2) The adapter for gz batteries is a little on the loose side but it seems to work well enough that, again, it’s more of an observation than a drawback.

If you need a small(ish) set of panels these are great!

Golden Review Award: 47 From Our UsersI seldom write product reviews & would be remiss to not write this review to help CPAP users. If you appreciate quality, you will love this product. This solar panel works perfectly with the Rockpal 300 power station; simply use the solar charger connector cable that comes with the Rockpal 300. If you use the Dream Station CPAP I would stop researching and purchase: 1. Genuine Philips Respironics DC Power Cord. 2. Rockpal 300 power station 3. Rockpals 60W solar panel. Here is real data from my initial usage w/ a fully charged Rockpal 300: 1. CPAP (no humidifier) ran 35.5 hours on DC power 2) Kindle HDX recharge 0%-100% on USB 3) 1 Emergency Tracfone recharge 0-100% on USB 3) Kindle HDX recharge 36% – 54% on AC 110V; this was my last test to discharge the Rockpal 300 & the power station BEEPS prior to losing power – a PLUS for CPAP users. 4) I placed the solar panel on the dashboard of a Toyota Avalon (fully extended) from 9:30 am – 2:30 pm & the power station reached 2 of 5 bars recharge (40%); this was without any detailed positioning of the panels. I highly recommend this to any CPAP user concerned about power outages. The packaging, size, and quality of the solar panel & power station are superb. This is CHEAP insurance and peace of mind given the expense of finding a hotel with power so you may sleep safely w/ your medically required CPAP. As Detective Monk would say, “You’ll thank me later.” So will those who love you and worry about your sleep apnea.

Purchased this solar panel to charge my Maxoak Bluetti 400Wh solar generator. Though I have yet use it to charge the generator, I have charged my iPhone and iPad in about a quarter of the time required on house current. Have a large porch facing south to north, mounting the solar panel on two hooks makes it possible for the panel to have full sun from 10am to 4pm. Everything connected to the panel charged fast, my iPhone went from 72% to 100% in 1 hour. Very impressed, built very well and can highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersThe 60 watt solar panel is beautiful. A little bit bulky, but manageable. I love in a tiny home, so I was looking for something not too large or too heavy. This comes bundled into a well designed black canvas package with places to attach straps for hanging. You can fold it up and click the straps together. Seems secure and protected, and will not scratch or get dirty in the closed position. I have it hanging up now to charge it up. Nice gusseted holes that I could use to hang it next to my doorway, so I do not have to leave it lying on the ground. Very happy with it so far.
UPDATE: I’m removing one rating star, because the RockPals 60 watt solar panel was so difficult to pair with the Rockpals 300w generator. By default, the solar panel has a y-shape cable attached to it, which must be detached and replaced with a different cable, MC4 converter, that comes with it. There are so many connectors and combinations possible, I struggled with this for 3 days, and could not get the solar panel to power the generator. When tech support returned my call, they were very helpful, and it is now resolved. But I felt that there should have been a better user guide, and a video reference, included with the product. By default, two Rockpals products should connect to each other more easily than this – or at least documentation and videos should be provided. I looked very diligently online for such materials, and was not able to find them.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersI bought this for my Jackery inverter battery unit to use on a few remote trips this summer. I’m a filmer and was needing something to charge my batteries in Haiti and remote locations around the US. This solar panel worked great and traveled well. Was able to charge my 160 watt battery within hours and kept my equipment running.

    Pros
    – Awesomely sturdy. I had this thing propped up on dusty roofs, dirt, rocks and had it traveling on airplanes, backpacking through forests, bouncing around in the back of all-terrain vehicles. It kept working flawlessly. Nothing broke. The cloth covering is extremely durable and pretty easy to clean.
    – Convenient. The size is great and nice and compact for traveling.
    – Connectors allows for a ton of different uses.
    – Mono-crystalline is more efficient then poly and some of the other units I used.
    – Customer support is awesome. I lost my main connector for the Jackery unit after I came back from camping. Had a hard time finding a replacement so I reached out to customer service to see if I can buy one through them. They responded immediately and sent me a free set of all of the connectors. It came swiftly. They continued to reach out to make sure I received it.

    Cons
_ The only minor complaint I have is with the connector rubber housing strip. It holds each connector well, but when the unit is rubbing around in gear the connectors can pop off the strip. I wish they had a more contained housing. But this is a minor thing.

That said, with their awesome costumer service and their durable product I will be buying Rockpals products from now on. Totally worth the cost.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersOk…i bought this specifically to power my Jackery240, because it meets the power requirements, is very portable, well built, came with the pigtail and various plug ends.
However, i give it 1 star because the connectors seem to be crossed.
the ends on the panel are male end positive, female end negative.
i have metered the panel, get 14v on an overcast day here in charlotte right now, sat the 3rd at 0930hrs.
the pigtail supplied with panel, has male end positive, female end negative.
i’m pretty sure that the connectors, based on limited electrical engineering, just my redneckery thinking, is that they should be positive to positive and negative to negative, but i could be wrong.
so, when i connect to jackery, i get zero wattage input, rendering the unit worthless as a provider of power.
i don’t know if this is poor design or QC or both….
my advice if buying the jackery 240 is to go ahead and buy their panel and adapter too…

I returned the jackery, and bought the rockpals 300w portable generator, connect right up to unit, started showing voltage…I should have bough the rockpals in the beginning…This panel also outputs into my yaseu 817nd for direct charging, and being able to use radio while being charged….

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought this along with the Rockpals 240W solar generator for a 5 day backcountry backpacking trip. (I have a CPAP that I can’t sleep without) Both items performed as expected, but this was very heavy and bulky in the pack. Due to the weight, I never felt comfortable enough to strap it to the back of the pack while hiking. I recharged the battery during a zero day and it got back to a full charge. I wish there was a lighter weight version that I could strap to my pack (or dry bag for float trips!) so I could charge the battery while on the move.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI love the size of this panel for the output power it provides it provides. It is perfect for longer stints of camping without power. The quick charge USB port is great. The quick charge doesn’t work when really cloudy, but the standard USB port works will on dreary days. This pairs perfectly with my jackery 150 for unlimited power (within reason). Phones, laptop, etc… I keep this in my truck all the time and it stores nicely under the seat. I haven’t needed it in an emergency situation, but could use it to trickle charge a car battery if it was run dead.

Golden Review Award: 54 From Our UsersWe’re currently spending the summer off the grid, and so we needed something to charge our devices and battery packs. I had two different battery packs, and originally bought other solar panels. I didn’t have the right connectors, and they were large and cumbersome, and they didn’t allow me to do any USB charging. I returned them to get two of these instead, and I’m so glad I did. These not only come with a variety pack of different size connectors to fit any battery pack device, but they also have three USB charging ports, which makes it perfect for charging our battries, iPads, phones, and rechargeable headlamps all at the same time. These conventionally fold up and secure shut so that you can carry it by the handle and transport it easily, which you can’t do with the bigger solar panels. At 60 watts, thy charge everything we need to full capacity in 7-8 hours of full sun. I would definitely recommend. It’s the best “plug and play” type charging panel I’ve come across!

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersAngled towards mid-day sun for 1 hour on a cloudless day. Connected Android phone via my 6″ C cable to the “red light” USB port.
Charged from 62% to 100% in one hour.
Bought it to recharge my Rockpals 250w Power Pack while in the boonies.

    11/10/18 UPDATE:
Cloudless, 30 degree day. Charged my Rockpals 250w Power Pack from 20% to 80% in 2h 15min. Oddly, the battery status LED’s were all lit. Out of curiosity, I unplugged the Solar Panel and connected it to the indoor AC charger. When I turned it on the status dropped to 80%.
Charged remaining 20% indoors in 45 minutes.

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersI brought this product to use in conjunction with the power unit. I work for an International Charity and needed a reliable, durable product that can hold up in challenging conditions. The panel is solid and sturdy. Charging is quick and you can plug a phone directly into the panel as well as charge a battery pack. I have also used the panel on private sailing trip to Maine to test it out before heading overseas. For a small boat this is super efficient. The grommets are super sturdy and I often just hauled the panel into the rigging to charge my batteries when at anchor. You won’t get a better product for the price.
