These are quite narrow do go up half a size or order the mens version, otherwise they are fantastic
Best for trail running for every weathe
I run with them since years and never found better ones for trail up and down mountains and through forests. No matter how steep or slippery. Not made for street running though.

Game changer!
We recently began competing in agility and these amazing shoes have seriously upgraded our running speed.
No need to break them in they were so comfortable from the start.
I did have to go up a size as the s6 was too snug, the 6.5 is perfect!

These shoes are at least 1/2 size too small , even with a thin sock liner – super comfy inside other than than and always look the part
My previous pairs have worn out on the inside lining ( down to the core) within a year – that is not great for the price of them !!

I walk every day and also jogg, my last trainers gave me a huge blister but these Solomon’s are absolutely fabulous. They are light, water proof, easy to do up with no flapping laces getting in the way and they are a perfect fit. I would definitely buy again.

Great fit and comfy right out of box.
This shoes are great. Grip is good for trails and wet grass areas.. Fit great and we’re comfortable for first time use especially since I have plantar fasciitis and I lasted a whole 2hr hike right out of the gateh. Would definitely by them again!
Not as wide as I had hoped
I had had a similar Salomon pair of trail running shoes which had eventually split because of my bunion so I hoped that by buying a ‘wide fitting’ pair that would be rectified. (I also go up two and a half sizes) Sadly to say I didn’t find that these fitted either so even though they’re very good quality and I love the speed tie closure I returned them.

Great lightweight walking shoes - check width
I really like Salomon walking boots. These sturdy walking shoes are really lightweight and great on rugged terrain. But… they are narrower than I expected and I struggle to wear good walking socks with them; the socks have to be fairly thin. Despite this they are comfy and I haven’t blistered.
The best shoes i"ve ever had..
These are the best shoes i”ve ever had, very very comfortable, fixed my knee and ankle issues after longer walks/runs (12+km) as with other shoes i often had pain in my ankle. Since wearing these theres no pain at all. My feet feel very comfortable and stable at all times. Very good grip. My feet are a bit wide, i was worried about the fit but it fits perfectly. Needed about 3 days and 30km to “break” it for my feet. Super happy with them.
Excellent shoes
I never write reviews on Amazon, but am so impressed these shoes I felt compelled to do so. They are so comfortable, waterproof and supportive and suitable for all abilities of fell running. My normal shoe size is 5 / 5.5 – however I read some of the other reviews before buying at went for the UK 6.5 – this was the right decision. Five stars!
Great shoe, make sure you measure your feet 👍🏻
Absolutely love these. So comfortable and look great. The grips look as if they’ll do the job for walking in snow and off road. I wasn’t sure what size to get as I’m normally between a 7 and a half and an 8, so I looked at sizing guide and measured my feet. My feet measured at about 10.1 inches so I ordered the 8, which is 10.2 inches and they are a perfect fit. So, if in doubt, measure your feet and order the corresponding size
Comfortable, waterproof, excellent grip
Really delighted with these. Bought a half size up after reading reviews and when I first tried them on I thought they might be too small but when I run in them they are snug but very comfortable. I run through muddy woods, fields and country lanes. They are waterproof, they grip well and they are bouncy enough so my knees don’t hurt when road running. The perfect winter running shoe.
Amazing
I am a 5 in converse, 6 in Vans and a 6.5 in salomons…. They’re still a bit snug at first but the 7 are too huge!
Fab off road running shoes or for walking if you want brilliant grip. I have the walking style too. Don’t be put off by the string quick lace, that’s the reason I buy them. It is super strong and never loosens. I will never buy another make for a trainer.
Great trainers, fab fit, excellent for off road running
Love these trainers, I have been having the same ones for the past 7 years, perfect for off roading as the tread is fabulous. Love the pull tie instead of laces and that it hides in the tongue. Stylish to look at and just great support, love them thank you.
If you want a trail shoe speedcross will not let you dow
These shoes are a narrow fit perfect for my feet. I am usually a size 7 but always go up a size for running shoes to allow space for my feet to move and flex in the shoe. I have had multiple pairs of speedcross and they always do a great job.
Without a doubt these trail shoes are one of best out there for wet, muddy trail runs. They have fantastic grip for those naughty hills off road. They don’t feel heavy despite going through mud and water plus very breathable! Personally I find they are come up quite close fit so good for those who have narrow feet, however I went up a whole size and they fit my wider feet great (usually a size 5 in shoes, bought a size 6 in Salomon).
Highly recommend these shoes for off road, undulating trail runs or speed train on grass track. Great shoes!
Non slip
Comfortable, different to my others, which I loved but couldn’t get, but surprisingly I do like these. My others tipped you slightly forward whereas these tip slightly back. I ordered a Half size up to wear thicker socks and I’m glad I did. Yes like them enough to buy a pair of Salomon walking boots too.
I got these to take up running. The trainer’s I had been using got gunked up really quickly, and there’s a steep down nearby that gets slimy after rain, so I needed something with a little more bite.
These are narrower than I usually get, but actually, surprisingly comfy. I have as concerned that they seemed quite stiff and inflwxiblex but it really hasn’t been a problem.
The bottoms are grippy as anything, but don’t make it heavy going. They’re excellent for the chalk hill I n ed to go down on my runs, and excellent on the soft wood chip part of the run too. Basically, I don’t notice them at all.
The laces take some getting used to. I also usually tuck the booble under the lace bar closest the toe, to keep it out of the way.
I’ve had them three weeks now and go out for a run several times a week. To be honest, they still.look new, if slightly dusty.
I haven’t worn them in the rain or when it’s been wet out, but I have high hopes.
Sizing Issues
These are classic Salomon: well made, durable and stylish. I ordered a size up and the length of the shoes was fine. However, having one foot bigger than the other meant that my left foot sat slightly forward, which created a downward pressure from the shoe at the front of my foot – it felt squashed! I have since returned them for a refund. It won’t stop me buying this brand again, but I will be sure to try them on in store!
Great trainers for running in all conditions.
These are my second pair of these trainers as I wanted a back up pair. I use for them running when I take part in dog agility. They are very popular with my friends also as they have a great grip when running on all kinds of surfaces including wet grassy fields. The only thing to be wary of is get a pair which are 1/2 size bigger than what you normally need.
Great shoe - I’d advise buying a larger size
I’ve had these for two weeks and the first thing I need to say is, I ordered them a whole size bigger after reading several reviews, and they fit perfectly (I ordered a UK size 8.5 and usually take a UK 7.5). They are a narrow fit and I was initially afraid they were too small, but after the first wear they seemed to shape to my foot perfectly. The look good and grip really well on slippery, uneven terrain. Time will tell whether the grips will last – the rubber is fairly soft so they feel as though they’ll wear quickly but then again that’s what makes them so good on skiddy surfaces. The laces are robust and stay laced up properly. I have quite narrow feet with a high instep; if you have a broader foot I’d suggest being even more generous with your sizing. Very happy with my purchase so far.
Not waterproof
Love the shoe in terms of style/colour and grip. I would advise anyone to get a size up which I did as they are a narrow fit. Only gave 4 stars as I bought these for muddy wet trail runs with a race in Jan 2019. However they state ‘waterproof’ believe me after running in wet conditions my feet were soaking had to squeeze the water out of my socks! The material just absorbs water like a sponge. Dissapointed at that but could not get the Gor-tex in my size. Overall good run shoe with a very comfortable ortholite insole.
These shoes are apparently designed for running but I bought them because I needed lightweight waterproof trainers for summer walking. As with the Salomon brand in general, they are a snug fit, I am a pretty average width size 6 and found the 6.5 fits well with thin socks, so I’d recommend going up at least a half size. They were comfortable straight out of the box, I wore them every day for a week of walking and had no issues at all. Several weeks down the line they appear to be wearing well and are most definitely waterproof, as evidenced many times. They are also terrifically ‘grippy’ which provides confidence on wet/uneven surfaces. I also love the beetroot colour, although that’s a matter of taste. My only minor reservation is the longevity of the lacing system, in that IF they were to break it looks like they’d be difficult to replace, but it remains to be seen if this ever becomes an issue. In summary I am very pleased with these trainers and would highly recommend them.
These were too small so had to return, but bigger size fit well.
LOVE that they are waterproof and have been running in them since I’ve purchased them. I run in the woods behind our house where the trails get very muddy for about 6 months of the year. My regular road running shoes could not handle it and I would often slip and slide when I tried to run through there – not to mention my feet would get soaked.
I have walked through wet grass in these and they are definitely water proof – my feet were completely dry after!
After reading other reviews I went a size larger. I am normally 39 so ordered 40. This is OK in length but width is a little tight over the toes. They are reasonably water resistant. After running through wet grass for about 30 mins my feet were damp, not soaking like my summer mesh top trainers would have been.
