I wear a 32L so ordered that, however there 32L actually fits like a 34L. Not an issue just reordered a smaller size. Other than that really good quality, loads of pockets and comfortable to wear.

Love these trousers very comfortable hard wearing, only negative like all work trousers the knee pad slot seem too low and knee pad inserts end up below the knee. Other than that can’t fault them

I bought these for work – no longer on tools so the pockets are a bit bigger than what I actually need but plenty of loops and fixings for tape measure phone, keys etc! Good fit, & value, seems like these will be comfy, very happy!

Favourite work trousers by far. I prefer scruffs over other brands as the quality is much better and it feels a thicker material.
Mobile phone, keys and other items are free from digging in you with them extra pockets. Helps when you carry lots of little items
So at this price I wasn’t missing out.
I’m a 30 waist and there’s definitely room to breathe. A belt is needed but that’s fine.
I could of got a size smaller to fit but I’m still happy with my purchase.

I bought a waist size down based on other reviews and they fit well in most areas but quite tight around my perfect ass. I’m a little worried they will split eventually, so I would probably recommend going for your actual size and just getting a belt. Aside from that, the pockets are great and the value for money is pretty much unbeatable.

I’ve bought 3 pairs so far for my partner.
He wears them all day every day on a building site.
They have no holes and if not for all the cr*p he gets covered in at work they’d look neat still.
Fabric is light but very durable.
    The design looks good too.
My partner is 6’4 and the size 34×34 fits like a glove. Will buy more in the future.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAs a woman I’ve found it really hard to find work trousers that fit and are comfortable. This led me to buying these trousers. I’m normally a size 12, so went for these to fit around my hips. A little loose around the waist, but a belt sorts that out. I wear them 5 days a week and am regularly working on my knees, have a hammer hanging in the loop and always have the holster pockets full of screws and hand tools. They last really really well. Very tough and durable. I’ll keep buying these until they start making decent women’s work trousers

These trousers provide sufficient storage and pocket space for everything you want, they are also durable and despite after washing in “hotel laundry” still turn out like new… ….. maybe the best robust and value for money trousers I have ever bought…. although for work purpose I might start wearing these for normal daily use……

Very impressed with these scruffs work trousers. Not tried them in work yet but on first impressions quality and materials look good. They are a quite baggy fit on the legs but that’s fine as it gives freedom of movement. The waist is a spot on fit for my size. The big external flappy pockets can be tucked into the standard front pockets when not in use which I really liked.

Had several pairs of these, never any issues, always wear the seat out before anything else, not sure if that says something about what sort of worker I am!

Usual scruffs quality good hard wearing work trousers only complaints and I’m nitpicking pockets are a bit on the big side also the leg is supposed to be 32″ but every pair seems to longer I’ve started to buy the short version which fits better but I’m a 32″ leg in every other trouser I wea

The zip on all this type of scruffs has a tendency to open the first few cm by themselves (same on last pair and same on these and a black pair I also bought), the loop hook on the waist has failed already after only 5 months and not alot of use, overall good but the zipper is annoying

The sizing is off on the inside leg. I ordered a regular length expecting a 32″ inside leg but it was 34″.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ll have to return mine as the sizing is a bit off, but otherwise they’re solid trousers and very good value for money.

I ordered 38″ Short, but the waist was too loose and measures at 40″. The inside leg from the crutch seam measured 29″ and the outside from hem to top of waistband was 40″.

These trousers seem well made from a robust material that should last well if you’re not reckless. I’d be confident in my purchase if they had fit me enough to keep. They’re quite baggy around the legs.. I’m stocky with solid legs and always wear fairly baggy combats/cargo trousers most of the time anyway, but I find them a bit on the baggy side. That’s probably because of the waist size though, but something to be aware of. I suspect even with smaller sizes you could easily wear trousers underneath in the cold.

So overall I’d recommend these trousers, and would suggest getting the next waist size down from what you’d actually wear (assuming they don’t shrink too much in the wash).

These are great for work they are comfortable and practical the only thing is they are a little bit bigger than the correct size so have to wear a belt but other than that they are grea

I’m very happy with these trousers and would have give 5* all the way if it hadn’t been for the amount of dye that came out of them. Think 5 soaks before wash was required due to the amount of dye that came out of them. Other than that very happy with fit and practicality of these trousers on site

So far so goody few months down the line these are still going strong. Obviously the proof is in the pudding, so I’ll have to see how long they last. In the past I’ve gone through work trousers in a matter of months but these seem to have a reinforced crotch and knee patches so I can’t see them dramatically failing any time soon. One tiny thing I didn’t like is the front pouch/pockets which I’m not a fan of (but your mileage may vary), so I ended up just cutting them off. The main pockets aren’t great (not deep enough), and things like keys and money seem to fall out very easily when you’re seated which can be a pain the arse (I actually ended up sewing some velcro into one side of the pocket so my keys would stop falling out so easily). The other selection of pockets on the lower sides and back are all pretty good and reliable though and all in all, considering the toughness of the trousers, these seem like a great buy and they don’t look too bad either! *Update: after just under a year of continual but light use, the first holes are appearing in the crotch (just outside the double patching which is meant to stop holes appearing), so these aren’t the perfect work trousers I was hoping for. Overall I’d still recommend them, it’d just be nice to find some trousers that lasted longer than a year! 🙁

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought these a few weeps ago now and I have to say I’m chuffed to bits with them. I’m a professional car detailer so it’s imperative I have flexibility and freedom to move about and also having a choice of pockets to use whilst working around a vehicle. These ticked every box. I had a pair of Scruffs 3D trousers in light brown and these are the same quality, same amount of pockets and same flexibility but at almost half the price!

The black colour makes these look really professional. I love the little touches of bright orange and honestly these feel bulletproof. Even when they get wet due to pressure washing they have some sort of film on them and it doesn’t absorb into the trousers! Amazing!

I’m 5’10 and 13.5st of muscular build. I’m a waist 34 and these fit me perfectly. I also bought the Scruffs belt for extra peace of mind but I could happily where these without one. Lots of reviews about sizing. I can only give you my side of that and I would rate them 10 out of 10 for fitment, length etc.

Absolute bargain amd will no doubt be buying another pair as a backup! Great buy!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThis purchase was the direct result of observing a local electrician at work and the trousers seemed both attractive to look at and practical as working clothing. The electrician confirmed that they lasted about one year of hard use and were a regular purchase which he considered very good value. My own use for such trousers is to do with photography which frequently requires kneeling to get suitable angles. This can be on poor as well as wet surfaces. Normal jeans rapidly get baggy around the knees and lose their colour and are simply not hard wearing enough for this purpose.

The Scruffs as bought are described as 30 inch waist and short leg. That would normally mean 29 inch inner leg. These were nearer to 30.5 inches in length which would not normally be described as short. Fortunately this was soon rectified by my wife by her machining the leg up by the amount of the reinforced bottom of the leg which was folded under before sewing. (5 minutes). They now fit perfectly and there is no external evidence of the adjustment.

The waist is also on the generous size – more like 31 inches but it was the leg length that was the main problem. Fortunately the reinforced knee kneeling pads are still perfectly positioned when kneeling down.

In every other respect these are well made with secure seams that will sustain heavy use. The generous range of storage pockets of many shapes and sizes are imaginative in design and position and seem likely to be fit for most, if not all, purposes. The 35% cotton and 65% polyester trouser material is both hardy and with enough breathability to offer hard wearing with control over over-heating when working.

Apart from the leg length problem, mentioned by several other reviewers regardless of waist measurements bought, these represent excellent value and would certainly be bought again when and if they ever wear out. The leg length problem will certainly need reducing as described above if the purchaser is expecting a normal short leg length. Hand sewing would be difficult because of the tough material so a sewing machine is more suitable as well as being neater, quicker and probably more durable.
