Très bon disque dur, mais faîtes attention aux vendeurs !
Ces disques sont super, mais privilgiez les vendeurs qui ont des avis avec des photos de produits livres pour voir l’tat des emballages leur arrive chez le client.
1foDiscount emballes trs bien leur disques d’ailleurs.
Attention aux OEM
Les disques Exos x18 sont d’excellents produits. Silencieux, avec une grosse capacit, un bon dbit de transfert, et de bons temps d’accs.
Attention en revanche au march gris.
Tous les disques Exos sont garantis 5 ans par Seagate.
Mais les revendeurs vendent aussi bien des OEM que des articles de distribution normale. C’est la loterie.
Ceux vendus par Amazon n’ont en principe aucun problme.
Mais il faut vrifier, avec le numro de srie, chaque achat sur le site de Seagate (waranty check) pour savoir si la garantie constructeur de 5 ans est bien applique au produit. Ce n’est pas le cas pour des articles OEM…
Amazon ne peut pas vrifier ce que vendent tous les revendeurs, mais heureusement ils reprennent les articles sans frais… contrairement des vendeurs peu scrupuleux qui n’indiquent pas qu’il s’agit d’OEM et qui font payer le retour.
Amazon devrait obliger les revendeurs indiquer cette subtilit.
A de tels prix, il serait anormal de ne pas profiter des 5 ans de garantie.
Buone prestazioni
Lo uso poco, solo per archiviare dati.. comodo data l’enorme dimensione ed anche piuttosto veloce per esser un disco meccanico, raggiunge circa 250 MB/s e confermo che anche un po’ rumoroso quando attivo il trasferimento dati.
Gran disco - ma attenti ai Recertified senza garanzia originale!
Disco di grandi prestazioni, grande durata e grande capienza, solo un po’ rumoroso, ma normale per dischi “enterprise”.
Attenti, per, perch alcuni venditori inviano dischi “Recertified product”.
Nel mio caso capitato con due dischi uguali comprati in successione dallo stesso venditore a inizio novembre 2023.
Non so se il solo, poich ci sono altri commenti su dischi recertified.
I dischi “Recertified product” sono dischi non nuovi ricontrollati dalla stessa Seagate che ne certifica la qualit, ma non hanno pi la garanzia originale di 5 anni della Seagate. Ho registrato i dischi sul sito Seagate che indica garanzia scaduta a luglio 2023!
Per uso personale non intensivo possono essere ancora ottimi, poich sono dischi “enterprise” con robustezza e durata enormi, ma giusto saperlo dall’inizio.
Ho scritto al venditore. Rivaluter il mio punteggio e aggiorner la recensione in relazione alla sua risposta.

Non proprio come la garanzia originale del produttore, ma sono comunque 5 anni (vedremo…) e comunque, ad essere precisi, nell’inserzione non scritto che i 5 anni sono offerti dal produttore…
Passo da 1 a 4 stelle perch comunque sarebbe stato corretto sapere dall’inizio che il disco era un prodotto “Recertified”, anche se dalla stessa Seagate.
Sul disco in se nulla da dire, ottimo rapporto qualit prezzo e soprattutto tantissimo spazio a disposizione. Silenzioso e durante l’uso intenso tende a scaldare leggermente di pi rispetto ad altri, ma basta un’ottima ventilazione.
Purtroppo sul web in generale girano hard disk Seagate della linea EXOS e IRONWOLF di provenienza non ufficiale Seagate. Per cui tali hard disk NON godono della garanzia ufficiale Seagate di 3 o 5 anni, ma soltanto di quella fornita dal rivenditore (1 o 2 anni), motivo tale per cui, nel caso il disco in futuro scaduta la garanzia si dovesse danneggiare, non potete fare nulla.
Per la verifica sufficiente scrivere il seriale sul sito ufficiale nella sezione supporto – RMA e verificare se gode della garanzia o meno, viene considerata la data di fabbricazione.
Per il mio ultimo ordine un disco l’ho dovuto rendere in quanto non ufficiale (oltretutto un modello inesistente sul sito Seagate), mentre l’altro pagato 25 in pi era ufficiale, con garanzia di 4 anni perch immesso sul mercato da 1 anno, poco importa, ma io preferisco nel caso di problemi avere il supporto diretto con il produttore.
Ovviamente sono scelte personali, ma ritengo sia corretto segnalarlo nel caso in cui qualcuno non lo sapesse e dovesse riscontrare problemi.
White label
Acquistato credendo che fosse nuovo, ma era un white label. Da quello che leggo in giro si tratta di un disco ricondizionato. Sar che ho sempre avuto fortuna con i ricondizionati, non me ne preoccupo pi di tanto, ma sarebbe stato pi corretto scriverlo nella descrizione.
Riguardo al funzionamento ero un po’ preoccupato per la fama di disco rumoroso che ha. Sono rimasto invece favorevolmente colpito dalla silenziosit. Non pi rumoroso del WD Red 10TB che ha sostituito.
Klasse
Luft wie Lotte, so gut wie keine gerusche auer beim Starten. Wird aber sehr hei, ist bei meiner 14Tb aber genauso. Da ich sie in einem gut durchlfteten Externen Gehuse habe ist das denke ich OK. Klare Kaufempfehlung
Silencioso, rápido y sin usar. Caro. Gran capacidad.
HDD 7200rpm, Sata III, 512mg Cach, silencioso y rpido, casi 300mbs de lectura y escritura, probado con programa de Windows 10, Crystal Disk Mark; exactamente 286mbs en lectura y casi igual en escritura; que para un Sata III, est muy bien, pues tengo otros HDD Sata III que No pasan de los 200mbs y otros, a 5400rpm, que no superan los 120mbs.
El disco es la 1ra vez que se arranca, con 0 horas de uso; vamos, que No es usado. Informacin sacada con el programa Crystal Disk Info.
Precio caro, pero si dura, es asumible.
Son 18Tb, por 321.

ho atteso un p di tempo per fare una recensione completa di questo prodotto per vedere come andava.
devo dire che insieme al case esteno che ho preso per effettuare dei backup sul NAS si comporta molto bene.
Un encomio al venditore per l’imballo che ha fatto per il suddetto HD… mi ci voluto un p di tempo per sballarlo da tutto il pluriball che usato per spedirlo (sorriso!)

si por ejemplo estas descargando muchas cosas (Torrent o varios archivos) hace un ruido infernal.
Por lo dems la capacidad y el estado todo perfecto (2 semanas de uso intenso)
Funktioniert zuverlässig im Server/NAS
Die Festplatte macht was sie soll. Ich habe sie in einem Server/NAS im Dauerbetrieb am laufen. Nutze die Festplatte als Datenspeicher im ZFS Mirroring Betrieb.
Auf Lautstrke habe ich weniger geachtet da der Server in einem anderen Raum steht, wie bei allen Festplatten hrt man etwas wenn sie arbeitet.
Nach ein paar Monaten sind die SMART-Daten immer noch alle sehr deutlich im grnen Bereich. Server luft 24/7 durch
enorme stockage mais bruya
J’adore la capacit de stockage de ce disque ainsi que son rapport qualit prix.
Cependant le niveau sonore est vraiment genant alors que j’ai une tour bequiet particulirement bien insonorise …
Es ist halt keine Desktop-Festplatte
Die Festplatte ist angenehm schnell fr eine HDD und versieht ihren Dienst in einem Synology NAS. Dabei ist sie deutlich zu vernehmen, das ist aber der Tatsache geschuldet, das sie erstens nicht wie eine Desktop-Festplatte entsprechend “leise” ausgelegt wurde und das NAS derzeit euf einem Holzschreibtisch steht, welcher das Gerusch auch noch verstrkt. Ich bin voll zufrieden mit der Entscheidung und es wird noch eine zweite folgen.
Good product - really poor protection on the last delivery (8/9)
I bought 9 of them , no problem with the 8 fist , work well from the beginning. The last one was send with such a poor method , that it wasn’t working at all.
Consequence , have to send it back , pay 16 Euros for transport and wait approximately 2 week to get refund. Just for a lack of care…

Un hard disk che non costa poco dovrebbe essere imballato in modo diverso… non basta uno strato di carta bubble a proteggerlo… come so vede dalla foto arrivato con una forte ammaccatura in un angolo…
Longévité ? Oui mais simplement supputée lors de l'achat.
L’appreciation de a longvit ncessite un recul que je n’ai pas pour l’instant.
Ce disque est un remplacement d’un Toshiba 16 To qui m’a abandonn aprs 9 mois de service
Avec de telles masses de donnes la sauvegarde 3-2-1 est primordiale.

Pensaba que no iba a funcionar porque el embalaje me ha parecido bastante pobre, un simple cartn y el disco duro dentro envuelto en una bolsa antiesttica, por suerte, al conectarlo no ha hecho ningn ruido raro y crystal disk info deca que slo haba tenido un encendido y que la salud era buena, adems marcaba 26 grados en funcionamiento. El vendedor ha sido mercadoactual.
Ich habe zwei der 18TB HDD von Seagate EXOS X18 fr mein Syn NAS 1621+ gekauft. Die X18 war nicht in der Kompatibilittsliste bei Synology aufgefhrt, die X16 dafr schon. Deshalb ging ich das Risiko ein. Die erste Platte wurde anstandslos erkannt und initialisiert. Die Laufwerksprfung luft derzeit, braucht 2 TAGE. Bisher alles ohne Probleme. Daten sind auch schon drauf. Die Geschwindigkeit ist hervorragend, Zugriffszeiten haben sich verringert.
Zur Lautstrke: Obwohl hier schon anderes berichtet wurde, ist in meinem NAS von der Platte nichts zu hren. Sie ist schnell und dabei flsterleise. Keinerlei Vibrationen und auch das Arbeiten des Lesekopfes hre ich tatschlich nur, wenn ich mein Ohr direkt vor das NAS halte. Alles in allem viel ruhiger und zgiger als meine vorherige WD REd Plus. Bis jetzt habe ich den Umstieg auf Seagate nicht bereut.
Weiterhin empfehle ich jenen, die Probleme mit Vibrationen haben oder hnliches, ein bisschen am NAS zu basteln. Anleitungen finden sich auch im Internet. Ich habe zum Beispiel meine Platten an den Einschben nicht mit dem Original-Plastikschienen befestigt, sondern diese rausgenommen und die Platte mit HDD Schrauben am Einschub festgeschraubt. Darber kam dann noch beidseitig ein dnner Streifen Moosgummi mit Klebestreifen. Seitdem hre ich von meinem 6Bay NAS nicht das geringste Gerusch. Investition fr Moosgummi und Schrubchen: 5,-.
Nachtrag: Auch die zweite Platte ist jetzt drin, wurde anstandslos erkannt und dem Speicherpool zugeordnet! Nach wie vor alles ohne Probleme, beide sehr leise und schnell! Bin begeistert!

These drives are fast and I was copying a 11 TB Music Video collection at average speeds in excess of 250 MB/s using Primo Cash software, with my old 12TB hard drive being the limiting factor. The 7200 RPM rotating speed of this 16TB drive really speeds data transfer speeds up. No problem on Window 11 using Disc Manager to initialise and format the new drive. I ended up purchasing 3 of these units.

Veo el desastre que ha sido para mucha gente… Y me echo las manos a la cabeza pero bueno me la juego y han llegado hace nada.
Los he verificado, es cierto que llegan en una caja muy cutre con muy poca proteccin para ser un disco duro de este calibre pero bueno.
He comprobado el SMART con Crystal Disk y efectivamente los discos no se han usado, solamente contaban con 1 encendido (el actual) y 0 horas de uso. Eso es bueno. Es muy difcil borrar o respetar el SMART pero es posible.
An as me meto en la pgina de Seagate para comprobar el estado de la garanta. A mi sorpresa, la garanta no era completa de 5 aos sino de 4 aos, hasta septiembre, faltando unos 3 meses de la garanta completa. 3 de los discos tenan la misma fecha y uno de ellos un par de das de diferencia. Dicen que para seagate la garanta empieza desde el momento en el que sale de fbrica.
Tambin los he formateado y he comprobado que realmente los discos sean accesibles y que se pueda escribir en ellos.
Pese a la caja cutre en la que llegan y las comprobaciones realizadas dudo mucho que sean de segunda mano o refurbished de centros de datos como dicen algunos comentarios.
Dudo muchsimo que en 3-4 meses (vamos lo que falta de garanta) les hayan dado tanta caa como para venderlos ahora de segunda mano. Pero me quedo tranquilo porque les quedan garanta y si te pasa algo Seagate te tiene que dar uno original s o s.
Bueno espero haberos ayudado con mi experiencia. Os puede salir bien o mal pero por lo menos ahora sabis cmo comprobarlo. Si os sale mal pues lo devolvis y ya est… Sinceramente flipo con la cantidad de gente que compra estos discos tan grandes y nada baratos y no los comprueban…
ACTUALIZACIN: me he puesto en contacto con seagate para actualizar la garanta porque faltaban 3 meses y ahora ya tienen los 5 aos que dicen. Piden la factura y te resetean la garanta a la fecha de la factura. S, es un poco cutre el proceso pero tambin entiendo que es un mecanismo de seguridad adicional para ellos.
Great drives
For the price and capacity, i paid 275 each, which is very good considering it is 15 a TB on a large drive.
The reason i voted it a 4, not a 5 however, is 2 months after i installed them, one drive has a caution health on it for bad sectors and i havn’t checked the others.
After my 4TB HDD died after almost 10 years of beign used almost 24×7, and seeing 18TB for just under 300, I took the plunge and ordered 2 of these. (I always would recommend buying twice the storage you need so everything is backed up!)
First impressions is that this is a bit noiser than my old drive, and generates a bit more heat. However nothing to be concerned.
More of a concern is reliability. Perhaps I was unlucky, but out of my 2, one was DOA, which has been shipped back to Amazon and awaiting a refund. In the meantime, I ordered a 3rd drive, which does work thankfully. Now I’ve set up one in each server and it was a breeze, easily recognised.
One thing to note though is that plugging this drive into my old USB-SATA dock, WIndows 10 didn’t recognise the drive as present. Plugging the drive directly into the SATA ports on my servers however worked fine, and after a day, my data was copied across and everything is working fine. My transfer rate of data to these drives (directly from another SATA drive on same machine) was about 160MBytes per second.
18th Dec 2022: I noticed the price has since dropped to under 280 a few days after my purchase, which makes it even better value. I will however be testing the reliability of this over time and will be updating my experiences in due course…

As expected with seagate a no fuss HDD, plug and play, not to noisy with 5 in NAS. Great speed and capacity, well priced seller at time of purchase, packaging however could have been better to protect these!!

Le produit est conforme mais je souhaitais vous partager la qualit d’expdition du disque dur envoy par le revendeur TopBiz FR ! Concernant le Seagate, RAS car il est de bonne manufacture et ne risquait pas d’tre en panne la rception du colis qui protgeait le HDD. C’est sur ce point que j’insiste car tous les transporteurs manquent de dlicatesse dans la manipulation des cartons. Avec une telle protection, je confirme que le MTBF du disque dur sera conforme au fabriquant et que sa dure de vie ne devrait pas tre rduite suite des chocs dans le transport.
Quand un revendeur fait preuve de srieux, il faux le signaler.

Large reliable disk
The cost is coming down slowly so is good value solution. I have three other drives with no problems.
The only disappointment is the over head of formatted capacity of 16.4 for an 18TB disk.
All good so far but the noise is irritating, I am hearing this is the case with larger drives be it WD Red or Seagate Exos 🙁
I have replaced an 8TB Iron Wolf (4 years old) drive in my 4 Bay Windows Server with this 18TB Drive.
The Iron Wolf was still working fine, but better safe than sorry.

Perhaps of interest – Back in the day, I remember paying 230 for a 240MB (MB not TB) PATA drive!
I installed it 3 months ago and I am very pleased.
Quiet, reliable – and slightly faster over my CAT 6 network than the previous 8TB Iron Wolf Drive.
Will it last the course – only time will tell! Highly Recommended.
Le produit est de bonne facture en tenant que telle le gros problme c’est souvent les vendeur, qui emballe et expdie les disques n’importe comment, rsultat 4 disque commander pour une commande total de 1469,95
Reus Endommager 1 disque HS, aprs contact avec le vendeur celui ci me dit que j’ai endommager moi mme le disque en le fessant tomber, ce qui n’est pas le cas comme les dgts tait dj prsent au dballage (avec plusieurs autre personne prsente ! )
Refus catgorique de remboursement ou de retour ou mme d’change par le vendeur.
Aprs presque un mois d’change messages, et l’expdition du colis en retour (qui a t refuser par le vendeur qui ma d’ailleurs contact pour me prvenir qu’il me rexpdiait la marchandise.
Je n’ai ut d’autre choix que de contact le service client pour faire ouvrir une ticket de Garanti A Z
Sans surprise le ticket a t valider et Amazon ma rembourser de l’intgralit de la commande
Pour ce qui est du vendeur il s’agit de Geniuzcom donc un conseil si vous command la bas, dballer votre volis sou l’il de 1 ou plusieurs camra (pour preuve en cas de litige).
Ils ont donc rcuprer l’ensemble de la marchandise 4 disque dont 1 HS
Je donne le numro de serie des 4 disques, 3 qui fonctionne et celui bosseler HS au cas ou vous commanderiez chez eux et que vous les receviez, sachez que ce sont des disques d’occasion puisque il on subit un test intensif de surface (18 To cris / 18 To lu) il ne sont plus neuf.
Disque HS craser : WR500BZ4
Disque qui fonctionnait chez moi lors des test a date 13/06/22 : WR500C02 // WR500C18 // WR500C05.
Finalement tout ce fini bien pour moi puisque j’ai trouver les disques en vente et j’ai commander chez un autre revendeur Hors Amazon, prix unitaire du disque 269 frais de port inclus et service premium en cas de panne sur les disques dans les 6 mois aprs l’achat.
Command 6 pices qui on t reus emball impeccable et 100% fonctionnelle, il tourne tous depuis dans un NAS.
Le mot de la fin : Trs satisfait du produit, Par contre revendeur a vit et comme dit dball sou l’oeil d’une camra pour vous vit des soucis avec le revendeur, si il y’a litige n’hsiter pas a sollicit le service client de Amazon pour le droit a la Garantis A Z, veiller juste a avoir pris contact avec le revendeur avant et si pas de solution de a part effectuer une demande de retour ou remplacement dans les 30 jours suivant l’achat.
Je remercie Amazon sinon j’aurais perdu le prix de 1 disque soit 365 a date d’achat, mme si il n’ont rien pu faire concernant les frais de port de mon retour initial qui a t refuser par le vendeur. (33,45).
Seem to work fine on Synology DS3617XS under DSM7.
I imagine not helpful to people using newer Synology models (22 onwards) which I understand may limit function with these disks, but they’re running fine after a couple of months on a 2017 model running DSM7..

Does everything as advertised. Very good read and write speeds, very low noise too. You get 18TB for the price of barely 12. Plus, this lineup has 5 years warranty.

I can confirm that these are the Exos 18tb drives & not the Iron Wolf. Great value given the high capacity of these drives. I have a few other 16tb’s & never had an issue with any of them.
Arrived on time & packaged very well.

Excellent Customer Service
I was unlucky that the drive was DOA but felt I had to write a review about Maestro Tech who supplied it. Their support throughout has been top notch, from helping me to try and get the drive working to assisting with the return and credit. Shame the drive didn’t work as, at just over 300, this is a very aggressive price for a Seagate 18TB.
