Still going strong
I got this for my security camera NVR after my last HDD kicked the bucket.
This is a reputable brand and is working fine as I expected. ..kind of wish I got a bigger size
Install this to increase the capacity of DVR
I brought this for DVR system to increase the capacity of my DVR. I received them from the company & they arrived well protected & in their original boxes from Seagate. I installed the hard drive & formatted so I could use it. I will find out how go are these in about 1 year & I’ll update how well these drive perform & reliability. in a DVR.
Note these hard drive are primarily for DVR they more of “install & forget” so they have internal checks for data integrity.
Nice improvement to the security camera system
I upgraded to a 6TB from a 2TB and now have twenty day of stored videos compared to four days.
The drive is quiet and has worked flawless.
I am very happy with this ,but having used Seagate drives before I should expect nothing else.
I purchased a security system with 4 cameras and storage. The unit it came with only lasted two years. Bought this for the replacement. Been 6 months and no issues. Easy install and great capacity before rewrite loop starts.

Working
For the Swann CCTV system was easy to install and worked first time no formatting issues.
Does what it says
2TB drive arrived promptly was well packaged and easy to install. So far it is working as it should.

Had an old Seagate that last almost 10 years. I hope this will last as long.
Great Drive
I have gone through so many hard drives, and it seems that 3 years, is the magic number that all my drives have lasted me. Well I got this today, and installed it in my case, for the purpose of game recording videos, from my PC through to my Xbox Series X. Wow it’s 5,900 RPM you can’t even hear it when it’s working, it’s super quiet, and it spins down and spins up fast, I have some faith in Seagate this time, this drive will last me more than 3 years hopefully!
This id the first time purchased a seagate drive for my CCTV normally use western digital purple.
First impression: no box, no fixing screws, no leads. just came in anti static bag and amazon box.
installed in Annke CCTV box, after initialising works fine and fairly quiet.
over all view: not a bad drive for a low price point, remember to purchase leads and screws if you purchase this and don’t already have them. as a note other drives I have purchase at minimum come with a little pack of fixing screws.
A bit noisy but OK for daily use
Against advice fron Seagate I bought this to replace a failing hdd in my PC. I have an ssd drive so this is really just for storage and works well. The start up is a little noisy but nothing too serious.
Works great for me
My CCTV hard drive gave up after 4 years, found I have the same Seagate 3TB hard drive in there, replaced with this, which is much slimmer compared to what was in there. Also runs a bit faster now when when looking up past events. No complaints, time will tell how long it lasts.
For my NAS
A drive failed on my NAS. This replacement arrived promptly. I did a hot swap and my system is now running 100%.

Works with Sannce NVR
I like this because it worked when it arrived, unlike the WD one which didn’t. Price is very slightly more than the WD, but like I say, this one works! I have it in a Sannce NVR.

I’ve always bought other brands of HD but this one is a step above the rest. No issues whatsoever. It’s easy to install and is running smoothly for the past 3 months. Very happy and would strongly recommend this product to all.

I haven’t seen a flaw in mine yet. I have been using it for months now in a DVR box, and it’s working great.
Playback is clear. It records nicely.
Not sure how long it records for. I think for myself using 1080p camera it’s about 3 weeks.
Great replacement for Humax Freesat recorders
Excellent drive. Replaced the faulty 1TB drive in my Humax 1100s Freesat box. This is much quieter than the original one and makes the box much more responsive when pausing etc. than it was before.
Easy to install
When the harddrive on my CCTV failed i used this to replace it. It was easy to fit. Albeit a bit pricey.
Seagate 2TB SkyHawk was easy for my mate to replace within the Swann CCTV unit.
Has been working brilliantly on my 8 channel system recording continuously without any issues.
Very pleased that I have 2TB rather than original 1TB capacity.
Seagate is an excellent brand for camera surveillance, well worth the extra money for consumer satisfaction in my opinion.

Misselling produc
Misled on product on amazon website, claiming that a newer model was available for a bit more money, when in fact there is no newer model as I found out after paying the extra money. Amazon should be ashamed of themselves misselling products.

Best hardrives on the market brilliant always reliable unlike some of the cheaper models I learnt the hard way don’t hesitate buy one.

Bought to replace a damaged hard drive. Really simple to install. Works well been running fine for 3 months.
