Tried to buy this in Currys. Didn’t have it in stock and didn’t know when it would be back in. Paid 10 less on amazon! This hoover is great. Gets everywhere I need it to and found dirt the old Dyson missed! Glad I bought i

A good compact vacuum cleaner at a reasonable price
A very versatile vacuum cleaner with a number of configurations other than the standard upright confederation and an adequate number of attachments. Good with pet hair and at about one third of the price of the well know D models and and with no obvious skimping on quality a good buy. I have not rated for for stairs. I live in a bungalow!

    Shark hoove
Was recommended to buy this shark hoover by our son when my old hoover stopped working. Fantastic suction on this model, light and easy to move around the house. Very pleased, would definitely recommend it.

It is as described - Simple to operate and efficient.
Easy to assemble and disassemble, easy to use. Does the job efficiently. Instructions are clear. I am in love with it.
Drawback is,with my big rooms and two dogs, I need to empty it often, but even that is a simple operation. Anti-hair wrap is perfect for picking up long hair without tangling in the brush roll. Wish I had bought this years ago.
Brownie point – the packaging is all paper not plastic and even the cable tie is a paper wrapped wire twist. Full marks for Shark.

    Does the job well
Picks up dirt, dog hair and dust well. Get some more filters though because its that good i have to change the filter every use and wash it so spare filters are essential whilst the filter dries.

    Good vacuum
Very good vacuum but would recommend sticking with cordless version for ease of use. Especially if it’s just for a quick run around the house. Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because of the small dirt collection tank

Makes hoovering almost a dream 😻
I had been using a fairly old Dyson ball machine but decided to change. Dyson’s all seemed expensive and my better half has one of their battery uprights [short running time and dodgy battery]. As I appeared to have a large number of these things in my wall [I think they’re called power sockets] I opted for this plugin Shark. OMG what a difference – great suction, bends in half [unlike me] to go under the beds, lights, long lead, and lots of attachments. I wish I have moved over sooner. The only small downside is that you have to empty the dust “bag” a few times, but that is easy enough. I’m sure that there are Dyson’s that do a similar job but not for the price of the Shark. This is my second Shark and the only make of Vacuum cleaner in my whole life that I have bought “on repeat”. Since I bought my first one they have redesigned the dust collector and it is definitely an improvement, the nozzle has also improved. So satisfactory to see the dust mounting up. I like it because it is very light to haul around and gets into tight places without too much effort. It is so versatile because you can split it to be a long wand (ideal for cobwebs) or again for a hand held stair cleaner or awkward places. Although it has a flex which may put some off I don’t find that a problem. The dust catcher is a bit small but at least it reminds you to empty it frequently and at the same time check for obstacles. I love mine and wouldn’t change it!

    Great suction on carpets
There is only one thing not to like – it isn’t free standing when using as the stand up vaccuum. But it folds compactly for storing. Really good suction on carpets. Easy to empty. I am thinking of getting another one for upstairs to replace a Dyson cordless – which is quite poor in comparison.

    Insanely clean!
In terms of cleaning this is head and shoulders above any other vacuum cleaner I’ve ever used. The weight is nothing too. Things I’m not crazy about (but knew before buying) are….the dust collector is TINY. After not having a proper cleaner for a few weeks I did one 3m x 3m carpeted room today and had to empty it 5 times!I appreciate the carpet was dirty, and I have cats, but even when I get the house fully clean again I suspect the weekly clean is gonna take 3 or 4 empties for a 4 bed house. Btw emptying is a doddle into a plastic bag, takes maybe 10 secs tops. The other things I’m going to have to get used to….it won’t stand up on its own unless folded down and I really miss the auto cable rolling up thing on my last hoover.

However, and it’s a big however, the cleaning results are SUPERB. I have no hesitation recommending this cleaner as long as you know about its nuances.

Shark anti wrap pet hair vacuum - impressive
My Dyson vac has been a nightmare for ages so I looked into a new one, wanting one that picks up human and pet hair without the faff of Untangling hair from the roller.
Used it today and very impressed, it’s quiet, easy to manoeuvre, light to carry upstairs, removed ingrained cat fur from my cream carpet, and is easy to empty the ‘bin’. It pops under furniture easily too and the top bit separates for cleaning furniture, cars etc.

There are 2 main faults, 1 – it doesn’t stand up alone as it’s top heavy, and 2 there is nowhere to store the extra tools, which is a bit of a pain.

I chose a corded version as I don’t want to keep recharging half way through a clean, and the cable is really long, so can reach the whole room without having to switch socket – hope Dyson read the competitor reviews because they need a huge improvement to compete with Shark!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGood vacuum
    Pros:
    – Good suction, cleans well
    – Easy to empty, small container for dirt but surprisingly large capacity
    – Easy to manouvre
    – Loooooong cord, no need to change plugs while you move around the house
    – Fun to use!

    Cons:
    – You have to unwind the whole cord to use, so not easy to set up/put away quickly
    – Hard to use in handheld mode as the angle is fixed, I would NOT recommend unless you have excellent mobility
    – Heavy unless you have good upper body strength
    – Small vacuum head, takes longer to vacuum because you cannot cover as much ground at once.

Overall, very pleased with my purchase, but I would not recommend for anyone who has any kind of strength or mobility problems. In hindsight, I think the cordless version may be worth the extra money as it would avoid several of the cons of this version.

    Love it!
I’ve tried a few shark hoovers and I love them all but this is brilliant, small, compact, it realllly sucks and the pet tool is perfect for stairs (and hairs obviously). Doesn’t stand up on its own like other sharks but it fits away nicely. Small dust capacity so more emptying but it’s so easy to do.

Easy to use and the hair wrap feature is brilliant. Good suction. Lighter than I thought it would be. Unfortunately this hoover does not stand on its own and constantly falls over. If it wasn’t for this I would have given it 5stars

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExcellent little cleane
Took advice from previous reviews about being better than battery for suction and am glad I did. This little
baby is so much lighter without a battery, has a generous lead length which is brilliant, and the suction is
brilliant. Cleans edges better than my old battery hoover but have not yet found one that gets right up
to the edges without using the narrow spout which i find a bit awkward and fiddly. Would have given 5 stars
    otherwise.

    Excellent!
We have been so pleased at how this vacuum cleaner picks up my dog’s hair from the floor and rugs. It really works well for us and I highly recommend it. It is much better than the Dyson because it’s a plug in, so unlike the wireless Dyson, it does not run out of battery after vacumming one room.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe Cord is the secret ingredient!
So i wanted a cool cordless vaccum but after borrowimg one for a bit i realized they are seriously over hyped. You have to use them on low power to make the battery last! This shark stratos is incredible. All the benefits of the battery powered form factor but with lots of suction power! Also the pet pro model comes with the rotating pet attachment which wasn’t clear in the description. It uses the suction to power the spinning bit. Anyways, this thing is awesome! The cord is essential!

Not bad little sucker, purchased this for me mum, she’s getting on and I don’t want her bending over picking up hair (I swear she’s molting) problem is, she’s had it for a month now and it’s not picking up all the hair even after I cleaned it out for her. Which makes me out of pocket saying that, it sucks well apparently.
Back to shopping around for something that actually does what it says on the tin.

    Mains power wins out!
Ok…..I can’t believe I’m leaving a review for a vacuum cleaner BUT……this is freaking awesome! I have mobility issues and have struggled for years with upright vacuums, (Dyson, Vax etc) then tried changing to the stick vacuums, which although much lighter and easier for me to use just didn’t seem to do the same job. I had been looking at one of these babies for a while as I really hoped the fact it was mains powered made a difference, but the clincher came in the form of the ability to release a catch on the ‘stick’ part to allow it to easily go under beds/sofas/chairs/tables….even the dogs!
It arrived late yesterday, so after assembling it I waited until this morning to try it out….and it has completely blown me away! The dirt bin-which is admittedly a little on the small side-was full just from a quick pass over one rug in the living room! The suction power is so much better than any of the battery stick vacs I’ve tried which just goes to show how much is lost by going cordless.
We have 2 rescue greyhounds so although they do shed it’s short fur that really digs in to fabrics and rugs. I’ve always resorted to hand brushing the stairs carpet as nothing really got them up, but this is light and manoevereable enough that I can use it and it really gets the stuck in hairs out.
I also love that it folds down for storage, and stands on it’s own! I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard a crash from somewhere in the house only to find it’s the stick vac falling over-even from it’s ‘wall mount’
So…..I might just build a shrine to this God of vacuum cleaners….aaaannd that’s me being committed for having a weird relationship with my household electrical appliances.

    Report on initial impression!
Machine not been used yet, but it was extremely well packed & much lighter than a normal upright machine.
Unfortunately there was nothing in the pack to accommodate the two crevice and upholstery accessories. Disappointing. Will need to try & find something from the company?

Arrived quickly & really easy to put together. Love the anti hair wrap & not having to pull hair out the roller.
Easy to use, empty & change attachments on it.
Quiet compared to last Vax vacuum we had.
Yes, it’s only got a small container so needs emptying regularly, the the lightweight, compact size & different uses far outweighs that.
    Great suction power.
We like the fact it’s corded, with a long lead, as no having to charge half way through cleaning. Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersCompact little super hoove
It arrived this afternoon. Packaging was all recyclable being cardboard and brown paper bags so that was REALLY nice. Easy to assemble (though I did watch an unboxing video yesterday). When it’s folded it’s much dinkier than I thought and I’m delighted it fits very easily into my small under stairs cupboard. When I started hoovering, it’s not noisy and is rather a low tone (rather than the strident noise of my old vacuum) so maybe the cat can learn to live with it and stop dashing outside whatever the weather when I turned the old vacuum on. When I hoovered the living room it picked up all the bits on my carpet and laminate very well. I used the handheld head to do the stairs and found it quite light to manoeuvre (im over 60 and have arthritis in my hands) I used the mini pet brush head accessory I bought as extra as it worked better on the stair carpet than the supplied accessory brush (I’ll leave that to do sofa and soft furnishings). The cable is very long and I could go up the stairs and do the landing as well. One slight negative is that the hoover head was quite high so it wouldn’t pass under my sofa (but the husband says he will put raised feet on the sofa, bless him. So in all this stick vacuum ticked nearly all of my boxes. I never buy appliances without checking for independent reviews by Which? They rated this as a Best Buy and I do think it is a great little machine

Great because you can fold it in half, especially if short of space.
good cleaner and light weight to use.
Downside is that you cannot stand it upright, have to lean it on the table.
If it was not for this design fault I would have awarded 5 stars.

    Love Shark
This is my second Shark. I really like them. I bought my first one because I was finding it difficult to carry my old hoover upstairs especially in a house with 3 floors. I wil say this one is a little heavier than the first one and more effort is needed when using it. Still a great hoover.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOver the top performance
Been looking for a vacuum debating their size, style and performance. Think I just found a perfect one. The vacuum is not that heavy to handle and main appliance turns very smoothly without effort. The only complain I would say the storage of the dust bin. But as a compact vacuum can’t ask for too much. Plus the dust bin is easy to take out and clean. Lastly the noise is not much of bother either. Great product. Suction of the vacuum it does what it said. You can’t really feel the heavy pull like the rest of the vacuum. But I can tell how much dust and fur picked up less than 5 mins already.

    I love this Hoover!
Such a good hoover! My partner was sceptical the anti hair wrap wouldn’t work but it does! The suction is fantastic, when it arrived I hoovered our lounge with our old Sebo and then immediately did it again with my new Shark and was amazed at how much more it collected in the dust chamber after I’d used our old hoover!

Great product – bought this as my new cordless one was not doing the job. Was pleasantly surprised at how good this is – the suction is excellent, both as an upright and the hand held. Cleans my house brilliantly and cleaned my car after having dogs in and the results are outstanding.

The vacuum folds very easily and has amazing suction and 2 different modes for tiles and carpet I found the carpet mode is fantastic as it sucked up so much dust I never knew was even there even on thick rugs it gets down and removes all little crumbs etc it is very easy to remove filters for cleaning and take out the contents although I found myself emptying the storage of sucked items every good clean around the house overall I would highly recommend

    Vacume works well.
We have 3 dogs and 2 kids so used regularly.
Main issue is the size of the collection bin is very small. Can fill it in 2 rooms so slows you down. Could do with optional extra for an xl collection bin as it is removable for emptying.
Had to had the head replaced as kept stopping the brush bar. One call to shark and they sent replacement few days later. Excellent customer service.

Do not buy this hoover. It is not anti hair wrap. I had to unclog it then hoover everywhere again. Then unclog again. So hoovering my house 3 times to get it clean. Spent more time cutting hair out of the roller than actually using it.
Contacted customer service at shark and they sent me a trouble shooting tip. Doesn’t work. 6 months on and it’s broken. I have dogs so this is why I got it.
Probably will be OK if you have no dogs no cats no kids that make a mess and you have a show home that you don’t actually live in.
Now I need to buy another hoover. Think I will stick to the Henry’s

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our Usersa surprisingly good find
Was in a real quandary about this purchase – especially having been a Miele and Dyson user for years. But I was looking for something lighter and easier to manoeuvre. Delighted to say it is a pleasure to use. I love the fact that it bends down easily to become half its size, making it very transportable (needed for job as housekeeper). I also love the fact that the waste bin is small so it definitely encourages you to empty after each use. I also love the flexibility of the floor sweeper part of the vacuum. with a simple twist, the machine gets round table legs and under units simply and powerfully. Only downside is the suction -dont get me wrong, the suction is more than adequate for my purpose – cleaning holiday lets – but I would love to feel the thing grabbing the carpet a little more! – somehow that would make me feel it really was great suction. Summary: Still very happy with it – love the look of it, love its ease of use and its lightness and portability – emptying it is the easiest I have ever owned. would definitely recommend. Goodbye Miele and Dyson.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGood product for the money
Pro’s: Very compact and can be stored away with ease, great for picking up pet hair (self explanatory for the model), suction power is pretty good for the price, cable length is great so don’t have to keep unplugging to change rooms, very ease to clean filters and rollers if they do become full.

Cons: stair accessory is nearly useless as slows down significantly when pressure applied, dirt compartment very small so if you have a medium/large house this isn’t the greatest, about the same weight as our old upright vacuum cleaner, feels very flimsy and cheaply built especially where it folds to allow for storage so sceptical of it’s longevity.

overall a decent Vacuum cleaner for those just starting up in a small home, but could be better for the price being asked.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersCleans carpet pretty well
Primary reason to buy this was due to the rooms in 2 bedroom apartment have carpet and I wasn’t sure if battery powered vacuum cleaner will clean them enough and for how long.
5 on that there are a couple of improvements that I can suggest, which may not be related to its function but are annoying:
    1. Cable is not retractable, huge disappointed as no matter how well you manuaver, it comes in the way since you can control how much should it be in open.
    2. Can’t stand on its own, and considering bin size is small, you need it to stand when you’re going to empty the bin.
    3. Small bin

    Pro:
    1. Duo rolling brush cleans carpet and floor well.
    2. Handles hair pretty well without getting stuck often.
    3. Powerful suction.
    4. Well made other than the aforementioned design issues.
