Well, I haven’t had to use this, yet, but it’s nice to feel that I can escape my apartment should I need to, I assume it is the right length etc, unfortunately I am unable to find a tape measure long enough to measure my building.
With that in mind, I think this should be long enough, I haven’t unboxed it yet as I don’t want to jinx it and cause a fire.
The quality & build is very good. Seems very safe for emergencies. Aluminum is very strong. I hope I do not need to use it though……….

Update- tested out the window – strong and the daughter stood on the bottom rungs while i looked at the hook at the window. Only one question – the cross struts slot along a screw to hold the hooks apart. I could not tighten down the screw to hold it rigid so a slight worry the strut might come off and the hooks no longer be held apart rigidly. Should I be able to lock down the screw. Image attached.
