    Well presented telescope suited to older childre
    Comes with clear instructions.
    The telescope arrived safely in a very strong box. Inside there’s a canvas type holdall with everything secured inside with Velcro straps.
    The actual telescope feels pretty lightweight. The tripod is sturdy and stable.
    I’m hoping that this will encourage my grandchildren to explore the skies.
    Seems good value for what’s included and considering the excellent packaging.

    Hard to use
    We were unable to see anything much through the viewfinder (but could be that we don’t know what we are doing!). Set up was easy though. Didn’t hold my iPhone too well though.

    Fantastic!
    This is a really nice telescope. Well made. Robust construction. Fits together easily. Easy to use. Comprehensive instructions. Looking at the sky is fascinating – this is exactly what our children should be doing with their spare time!

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA good value starting poi
    Growing up my father had a couple of telescopes and as a result I have fond memories of looking at celestial bodies in the night sky. Having been toying with the idea of getting one myself and sharing it with my daughter, this one popped up on offer. Aimed at beginners and younger astronomers this 400mm refractor looks to be a good starting point for my daughter to see if she takes an interest.

    Inside the box everything comes packed in a case. You have the telescope, spotter scope, tripod, barlows tube, 10 and 25mm objective lens and a phone mount. Everything goes together fairly easily and it’s not long before you have it set up. The spotting scope can be tricky to set up. The adjustments for zeroing it are very basic. The tripod is functional. Small movements can be frustrating as it isn’t really dampened. For objects like the moon this isn’t a major issue but for planets you can easily lose you view with a slight movement. This could become frustrating for children but with perseverance you can get used to it. Once aligned and set it actually works very well for a small refractor telescope. We were able to view the moon and a couple of planets.

    First of all you have to consider the price of the telescope. It is currently 52.79 and that isn’t bad value. Especially when you consider that optically this isn’t bad at all. The tripod isn’t brilliant and can be frustrating. However it is usable and because the telescope uses a camera ISO mount you could use another if you have one.

    A good beginner telescope
    A lovely telescope for my daughter who has been obsessed with space at the moment. Unfortunately due to weather and late nights we haven’t been able to spot any planets or had clear skies Unfortunately. However it is rather well made with a excellent array of fittings for different magnification. Instructions could be clearer though as sometimes find double guessing myself however it does come clear (no pun indended) .The tripod is not to flimsy but holds the telescope rather well. The feet can be adjusted to many different heights to support array of ages.
    A nice gift for children getting into space and perhaps people starting new hobbies.

    Fantastic creative way to learn about the world
    This is a wonderful starter kit for every knowledge-hungry kid. It comes complete with switchable lenses and it even has a mobile phone holder, so you can snap photos of the Moon with your phone!

    Very good toy at a reasonable price.

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAwesome to explore the space and see the detailed sky
    Telescope arrived packed neatly in its presentation box.
    Inside I found all parts packed separately.
    There were:
    * 1x Telescope Tube
    * 1x Adjustable Tripod
    * 2x Eyepieces
    * 1x Finder Scope with Bracket
    * 1x Diagonal Mirror
    * 1x 1.5X Erecting Eyepiece
    * 1x 3X Barlow Lens
    * 1x Moon Filter
    * 1x Smartphone Adapter
    * 1x Remote Control
    I was more than impressed from the first glimpse. It’s definitely exceeding my expectations. It’s not looking as a cheap plastic toy. It’s has a professional look. Material is strong and durable. Adjustable tripod allows to fit to kids size.
    By following the manual telescope is easy to set up. The tripod is stabilised and doesn’t allow to fall down.
    With kids practicing the knowledge about space it’s a perfect thing to explore. They are able to find stars and the moon by themselves.

    It is possible to take a picture of what you’re looking at by using your phone in the phone holder provided. It’s pretty easy to install.

    Telescope isn’t so big so is easy to stores. It’s not heavy so can be take outside easily to explore while on the trip.

    All lenses provided are allowing to see a lot of details in the sky.

    This telescope set keeps kids interested and entertained for a long time while explore the sky.

    I am more than happy to recommend this set .
    It will be perfect as a Christmas gift for kids!
    Perfect product!

    Great telescope for a beginne
    My little one is really interested in telepascope due to a story book he read. So we have set it up in his room which was very easy. Haven’t made much use of it other than to look at the moon. There’s a moon filter which gives a better contrast and reduces strain on the eye.

    Made from sturdy material and is easy to set up and use.

    Me and the little one have enjoyed using it and will continue to.

    Would recommend

    Good budget optio
    This telescope is quite easy to set up if you follow the instructions. This was a refreshing change from some I’ve tried out in this price range where setup is a bit of a nightmare.
    The tripod is reasonably stable, so the telescope stays put and you don’t lose track of what you’re viewing. It’s not too heavy, which is a plus point.
    With a bit of practice, it is very easy to get a better view of the stars and the moon.
    You can take a picture of what you’re looking at using your phone in the phone holder provided. This is a bit fiddly, but I liked the wireless remote key, which means you can take photos with your phone using it as shutter control.
    I expected the telescope to be larger, but on reflection it’s a good thing it isn’t, as it’s easier to store.
    A good way to stimulate kids’ interest in astronomy without a huge outlay.

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat introduction to the cosmos for kids and big kids
    I was quite surprised at how much they managed to cram in to what seems like a fairly small box, you get a decent tripod, the telescope itself, various adaptors and instructions.
    The telescope itself is plastic and very light, I can only assume the lenses are plastic too but don’t let that put you off as the image quality is good. There is a little bit of setup required but nothing too complicated and you can then gaze upon the universe from the comfort of your home or garden.
    We downloaded a star map app on our phone to help us know where to look and have been enjoying this telescope when the clouds permit.
    There is also a smartphone adaptor in the kit which is a great addition. I don’t have much to compare this to other than a pair of binoculars which I have been using up till now but it seems like good value to me for everything that you get.

    Good telescope for beginners
    This is a nice little telescope for beginners. It’s easy to set up though o think it will take practice to get used to the settings and configuring them for the best viewing experience unless your used to using telescopes. As a newbie I found it exciting using with my little one to look at the moon and stars.

    Easy to set up and good introduction to telescopes
    Took me a while to tackle setting this telescope up since I have never played with one before. It is good enough to take an impressively close look at the moon and my small helper was excited by what they could see. It comes with a filter for moon viewing.
    Easy to set up and very good instructions.
    It can be used to viewing terrestrial objects too.

    Great all-in-one beginner kit that works well for moon viewing.
    We’re very much beginner hobbyist astronomers in our house, and in my opinion this is a great beginner scope. From knowing very little about the assembly when unboxing, this scope took about 8 minutes to assemble following the super-clear step-by-step guide included with it. The photo’s do a good job of communicating clearly even to a novice, and the children took to putting it up and then down like ducks to water. I like the fact that it is a complete set and includes everything needed to get up and running. We had an easy time finding the moon. The construction looks fantastic from a distance, but when you handle it you can feel the flex from the plastic, but considering the low cost I still think this is reasonable balance and a good way for any beginners, like our little ones, to dip their toes into the hobby as an first scope without breaking the bank.

    Good entry level equipment, perfect for kids
    Good
    + Passable quality given the price
    + Easy to assemble and the instructions are clear
    + Good clear images
    + Good phone holder

    Not so good
    – It is entry level and the alignment sometimes is a bit off as the plastic parts are not meant to be that advanced

    Good for kids and beginners to view the moo
    Lovely little beginners telescope this but best for viewing larger objects like the moon. Finding stars or planets with this is possible but very difficult because finite adjustments are very difficult, you have to loosen the handle or grips around the tripod which moves the telescope too much to follow a star/planet. Viewing the moon is far easier. Start with largest Lense (Smallest magnification) to locate the object then switch lenses refocussing each time until you find what you require. The view is crystal clear and the holder for the phone to grab a snap is really good once setup properly. The kids love playing with this but do need help to set it up properly and use it.

    Opens eyes to the stars
    I must admit that I’ve had no previous experience with telescopes, so am definitely not sufficiently technically experienced in the subject to comment on the specifications of this astronomy telescope from Nacatin but can certainly comment on the experience.

    This has been one of those rare experiences as a parent you have whereby your little one becomes wide eyed and can’t stop talking about their new hobby in astronomy and you can’t help but get excited and joined in!

    The telescope is well made – it’s honestly smaller than I expected it would be but feels and looks like it has very high build quality. The mounts, tripods and attachments are easy to assembly and disassemble and it’s incredibly easy to use.

    I’ve only had the chance to try the mobile attachment briefly but our little one certainly seems impressed by it all and it seems like a very clever feature.

    All in all, this has been a very good experience item and can certainly recommend it to any parents who’s little ones are showing an interest in astronomy.
