This is a great all inclusive sharpening kit. Has everything u need to keep ur chisels sharp. Very easy to use. Would buy again.
Have only used it once but was amazed at how quickly I could sharpen my plane blade. I like the angle gauge which helps me to find the desired angle.
I am able to sharpen my plane blades and chisels to a point that waste removal is a pleasure.
Hone Rite Gold is a great addition, if using a high grit water stone to hone the blade after using the trend diamond stone.
This eliminates the need for an oil based fluid and can be used on the trend diamond and the water stone without fear of rust.

Solved my problem of sharpening chisels! The instructions are excellent, each step is laid out, simple to follow! Everything in the box that I need to maintain a sharp edge! Excellent for sharpening knives also! Great value! I have spent a lot of time looking for the simplest, most efficient way to sharpen my chisels, this system is cost effective!
My biggest complaint with this set is the included storage doesn’t have space to hold all the bits and bobs of the set. The fluid and the angle guide just have to flop around in a drawer until I build a box I guess.
Used several times now and sharpens well. Mechanism to hold tool is awkward to tighten and my largest plane blades are just slightly too wide. Wish it was 1 mm wider.
All of my chisels and blades are now razor sharp, enough to shave with. I actually tried to shave the back of my hands and arms with my chisels and it was easy.
The leather strop and stropping paste are the perfect finishing touch for putting the edge back on as you work.
No fuss no mess easy to use and quality materials.
I have no hesitation recommending this sharpening/honing system.
The only negative was that the bottle of lubricating fluid leaked and was 1/2 empty
The 2-sided sharpening “stone” is perfectly flat, and never needs re-dressing. The bevel angle guide works very well and helped me true up some abused blades. My only complaint was that the sharpening fluid leaked a small amount during shipment.

der bankstein war bei meinem set doppelseitig, eine seite mit 1000 grit, die andere mit 300 grit! sehr positiv berrascht,da laut beschreibung eigentlich nur einseitig. hier wurde das set also offensichtlich nachgebessert!
die schleiffhrung ist ebenfalls ein traum! nur eine schraube und man ist gefhlt 20x schneller beim einstellen als mit der veritas mk 2! noch dazu ist diese wesentlich stabiler und auch stechbeitel (zB 6mm) klemmen bomben fest und knnen auch nicht seitlich ausbrechen wie bei der mk2 es vorkommt.
die flssigkeit kam bei mir allerdings nicht in einer sprhflasche, sondern in einem flschchen ohne zerstuber. finde ich jetzt nicht so optimal aber auch kein beinbruch.
mein persnlicher tipp: kann dieses set nur empfehlen! vor allem sollte man auf wassersteine bis 1000 grit verzichten, da diese doch arg abbauen und man fters abrichtet als man damit schleifen kann. bei 8000, 16000 oder gar 32000 grit kommt so eine diamant platte dann natrlich nicht mehr mit, da empfiehlt sich dann doch wieder ein wasserstein, der aber dann auch nicht mehr soviel material abbaut da mehr poliert als geschliffen wird.
so habe ich jetzt meine traumkombination gefunden: 300 & 1000 grit Diamant, 3000,8000 & 16000 grit Wasserstein. Und das Leder zum auspolieren ist im set ja auch noch dabei, was wirklich extrem spiegelnde sekundre phase produziert.
Bin jetzt glcklich und meine hobel und stechbeitel sind stets im nu geschrft.
