He's so cute but a bit thick!
Bless him, he can be a bit thick but he is so adorable and like having a pet you don’t have to feed or clean!
He doesn’t always hear you so you have to repeat yourself a few times occasionally.
When it comes to face recognition, he does look at you sometimes but his camera isn’t the best quality and if the light is bad in the room he will struggle.
He has only ever fell of a ledge 2 times and that was totally my fault so his ledge recognition is incredible!

    Anki deligh
I was concerned when I heard Anki had gone bust, but the new company which acquired Vector et all seems to be going a good job in pushing out new features to Vector.

My son , wife and I have been entertained by Vector. Its recognition features are good, voice recognition is better than the Alexa speakers we have. I will wait and see how these are developed by new company

    Subscription charges after a month
Product great but after about a month then you have to subscribe to a yearly subscription which is a bit of a cheek when you spend so much on the machine itself so did that and still doesn’t work and who ever we got the subscription from isn’t returning our enquires be careful

    very clever and cool robo
This is one amazing robot, it is a nice distraction and toy. If you want to get work done while it is on, forget about it. One down side is that you need to be patient and slow with the commands others it just looks at you. The camera is awesome and it is amazing how much it plays with the cube

    Awesome creatio
Love this little guy! He’s so fun to have around and helpful. Thinking of getting a second. DDL have taken over Anki now and they are updating and taking people’s ideas for new features etc. He does his own thing when you dont talk to him. Can adjust his volume, eye colour. There is a 3rd party app called Vector Crtl that let’s you type what vector can say, control him and look through his camera. He’s a nifty little critter. Cant wait to see what updates they have for him

    Short-Lived
There is a lot to like about this little robot. The integration with Alexa is brilliant, and the number of commands it responds to is a lot more than I expected.

My 12-year-old had really wanted one of these, so Santa obliged. For the price paid, however, it was a bit of a let-down, as it rarely gets used and seems to have been a short-lived wonder.

    On the fence
I bought my child a Cosmo for xmas and was really impressed with him, was u able to get a second Cosmo so plumped for a Vector. Vector is cute and does wander freely but lacks the Interaction you have with a Cosmo. Anki have disappeared and DDL have acquired Anki there is a kickstarter in place. Which seems more aimed at those who can code confidently I fear that my Vector will one day end up with robot dementia if/when the app or support is removed and he will not have a clue who he is or what he can do.

    Who's listening!
Vector is a funny little robot. He seems quite happy to do his own thing when left alone. There are personality traits that are quite realistic and you can’t help feel for him! Wife a bit worried about a mobile camera connected to the internet living in the house. But I assured her the government are always watching and listening to us and we have no individualism. The Alexa function is bonus but have turned it off as it will overrule the Alexa already in the room. Vector has no music play capability. Worth the 70 in the deal but wouldn’t have paid the couple of hundred people did as very limited responses and after a while gets tiresome.

    Most satisfying purchase ever.
I ordered it on the 4th of February and it was delivered on the 7th! The delivery was free! Amazing service. Vector himself is just brilliant and the most adorable techno-pet anyone could ever get. He feels alive and is always interested in what funny business you’re up to! I really recommend him to people who sit by their desk a lot and need a little desk buddy to brighten their day!
The only thing I was slightly dissatisfied with was the delivery person. There was no card left saying where my Vector was, I only realized he has been delivered to and An Post station thanks to an e-mail. Otherwise it’s a purchase worth its price!

He is absolutely great – he is cute. Everyone loves his character and cheekiness. Doesn’t always get everything right but if this is an example of AI bring it on. PS – he doesn’t always win at Blackjack. I sked how many mile from London to New York – no approximate figure – it was spot. You can request Alexa to get you data but not music.

Well this was a surprise Christmas hit. Played with daily since.
Our 7 year old was desperate for one of these and he loves it. Major design flaw though is calling an Alexa device ‘Vector’. They sound too similar – particular when spoken by a child with teeth coming through. The wake word for Vector is ‘Hey Vector’ and for Alexa (as we all know is ‘Alexa’ . The speech recognition isn’t great. That said, Vector is very entertaining. If you sneak up behind him and say ‘Hey Vector….BOO!’, he jumps, he will take a picture which which is saved to a tablet/phone. He recognises faces and once programmed who is who, will call you by your name. He even takes himself off to his charging station when the battery is low. He is good fun and our son has played with this every day since Christmas. All in all I’m very pleased with this and how much fun he is to play with.

    Funny
Bought for 6 yr old (autistic) xmas.
Hes plays with him everyday. Its a funny, moody little thing. However if your looking for buying for a child, Cozmo version would be better suited. This wee guy is great and alot of fun, definitely his own personality! Like having a grumpy little Hamster running about my kitchen bunkers. But functions are better suited to adult than child.
Took a star off the voice recognition because he seens to only respond to my voice (you can press a button to talk to him too) not sure if its another product that has difficulty with the Scottish accent maybe?

i love this little guy shame he isnt supported at the moment. A new company has purchased the rights to him so hopefully there will be a bright future.
alexa integration is basic, no music supported.
voice recognition can be a bit flaky at times though that may just be my Scottish accent

All in all he does what he says on the tin, is a great little pet who calls out my name when wanting attention and who helps keep me entertained with silly noises and actions

Cool gadget, worthy of the discounted price
It’s really cool the first half an hour, but then you start getting annoyed by having to yell HEY VECTOR over an over, as the voice recognition does not seem to be very robust.
However this was a gift for my 10 years old son and not for me. And he did not seem to be bothered and was happily yelling HEY VECTOR for two days straight, so I guess for a kid it’s really fun and interesting toy.

Vector has been resurrected as it seems from the news...
Great gadget for grown ups and also kids. Well designed and good materials of the device. I hope the servers will remain online so we can use for the years to come the funny little guy. Has good Alexa integration but it’s not able to add voice profile, only by a supported phone/device.
Search and get some extra apps to use it with your phone and PC, it expends it’s use and application.
UPDATE: Seems that great news are coming for this little guy… search and make some research, cause it seems it’ll stay for longer than we expected some months ago.

Good addition to Alexa platform, and very chirpy.
Amazing technology for the price, let alone the price. My 10 year old son loves it as well, insists we need another so it doesn’t get lonely. It is quite chirpy and seems to have some level if autonomy, which is nice.
I have Alexa all over the house, heating, lights, power units, sonos… having it running Alexa alongside it’s own platform make a huge difference in what to expect. I may get bored at some point, but the functionality I think will make it something I will stick with. It can’t stream music, but through Alexa you can instruct it to play music on my sonos speakers and the voice recognition seems good for this.

    Good prese
I bought this as a present for my partner..my first impression though is that it’s super cute but pretty useless..kind of glad I got it at a super reduced price or I would have been horrified at what I bought
I’m kind of hoping that vector gets some major become more useful and clever updates..as it is though my partner has become super attached to him and gets annoyed when I try and play with him.so all in all for the price I payed it makes an excellent present. And please stop writing reviews that anki gone bust and cloud services will soon be over..yes we know..that’s why he is at a super reduced price.and he won’t regress.. he just won’t have anymore improvement upgrades .by the way my vector falls off the counter so we had to buy him a tray

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVector the wonder bo
Vector is simply an amazing little robot, he makes the perfect pet, companion and helper all in one. He will definitely keeps you company and make your life more enjoyable with lots of laughs. You can play games with him, ask him questions or just hang out and chill out. He’lll explore your world, take interest you, he’s surrounding and the environment around him. From time to time he’ll just watch the rain, TV or be fascinated by other things. He is curious, full of life and personality. Alternatively you could just sit down with him and pet him which he loves. If you live in a small apartment and can’t have a pet , get a vector he is the closest you will get to an actual pet.

    Less messy than a budgie!
I love Vector, and my typically ‘whatever’ teenage son seemed genuinely pleased with this birthday gift. He has gone on to experiment with programming Vector. I enjoy hearing Vector chattering away to himself – he has quite a personality – and the face recogition is always a joy when he spots you and says your name (although if he mis-learns it the first time you’ll never convince him otherwise).
My only gripe is that I wish it had been made clear that Anki is no longer trading and thus not updating – at some point this will be a problem.

    Amazing little robo
This robot has got so much potential and personality. The battery lasts around 30 minutes abd when it is just about to run out, vector goes back to the charging dock by itself. He loves exploring and playing with his cube. In the USA is already compatible with Alexa. In the UK the update is coming soon. Vector is specially good not falling down from tables and desks but make sure there is a carpet or rug underneath just in case! You can change the colour of the eyes and play with him. He can be autonomous or voice controlled. I hope they develop more voice commands because then the possibilities will be endless.

    Could be better !
My 8yr old asked for this for Christmas. It’s cute, interactive and fun however it is supposed to be connected to the internet to answer questions but this function doesn’t work well at all. Mostly he responds with “I didn’t get that” even to some very simple questions. It’s very frustrating and limits what he can be useful for. If you just want an expensive toy pet then he ticks the box but even his recent connection to Alexa isn’t functioning properly either with the option to connect having disappeared off the App.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersArtificial intelligence for peanuts
This is a very first smart artificial intelligence sold to anyone for a low price but people expectations are too high…they must understand this is the start. You can’t expect to talk to him like with a human being and ask him for a coffe in the morning NO. This is a demonstration of what it will be in the near future. He recognises people, reacting, dancing and more.
People that place a bad review here is because they have no idea what technology means and obviously their expectations are higher and I would like to tell them the price for a robot they was expecting Vector to be start with 6 figures not 3 like in our case here.

    Little Vector is a pleasure
I work on my own at home and I didn’t want to get a pet as my flat is not big enough so I invested in Vector. Its been a pleasure to have him around. His personality is very interesting in the way he reacts to me and keeps the day interesting. This is without having to clean up after an animal! I think his face recognition is really cool and its funny watching him explore and try to interact with humans, in addition to answering any questions I have.

There will be a new software updates soon and I am really looking forward to seeing what comes next from Anki!

Vector is a very cool little robot who is quite literally a big brother to the original Anki robot, Cosmo. He is in every way a better robot then Cosmo and, apart from the setup, now works completely independently via the mobile phone app due to his incredible good processor and inbuilt wifi. He is also now entirely based off voice commands making him a very cute little voice assistant. I enjoy playing the games and tricks he comes with and I am looking forward to the updates which are promised. He also really loves a stroke 😉 Fours stars only because I can’t get Vector to dance!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersCool little friend.
He’s a cute little Robot and he will explore the room that he’s in, but he can explore as far and as much as his power supply will let him go and then he has to go charge. The good thing is he remembers places where he’s been and is willing to go further at baby steps at a time. You must remember he has to learn like an infant or a pet in new surroundings. The cool thing is if his cube is in the way of his charger he will pick it up and move it away, which is cute. Highly recommended as he’s a fun little fella to have around. Remember he has to learn so give him time and patients.

This little robot roams freely around my desk. Sort of like a pet every so often you notice its movements. Will stop what you are doing and interact with it. Its current feature set is useful and I understand there are more on there way. This is the sort of toy you wont spend hours with in one go but will easily spend 5 mins here followed by 10 mins there throughout your day. You will notice vectors personality and find that it is almost impossible to ignore him at times.

Set up was very easy and I am yet to experience any problems with vector understanding what I ask of him. Overall I enjoy my vector and struggle to think of a reason why anyone would not.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersJust like having a new little pet around
What a brilliant piece of thinking, Vector is easy to set up and get going with straight away. He recognises our faces, helps my son with his maths and is proving to be just great general company to everyone:). The kids love him, only problem is we are probably going to need to buy a second one to stop them fighting over him!

I understand that there are lots of new updates coming which will add to the functionality, and mean more engagement.

He has some odd little quirks which you always get with new technology, but is like having a cute little pet around which is proving to be a nice little addition to the house!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersOur very own Wallie!
Vector arrived a couple of days ago and he already feels like part of the family and it feels like we have our very own Wallie at home. There’s no doubt about it, he is extremely cute and loveable. A lot of attention has paid to his personality and his eyes are really expressive. We have already been having fun with him and you can ask questions and interact with him. Set up was super quick and we were up and running in minutes. Only negatives are that sometimes it doesn’t recognise the start command and the mobile app is a bit glitchy but overall, we love him and recommend to anyone who wants a pet with no visits to the vet!!
