Great business bag
My husband have this bag for over 4 years.
He is using it every single day to work. Wheels are still intact, handles OK. The extendable handle is wiggling a little but still goes up and down with not problem.
Great business trolley.
Excellent quality and sturdy bag
Second one I have had – first bag still reasonable and has had heavy daily use and bought it about 8 years ago. Will last.
Great case
This case is good for what I need, using a hybrid working system this means I can take everything I need wherever I’m going to work.
Very good product.
I have been using it for a while now. I was so happy with it that I recommend it to .uy friend and his opinion is the same. The best bag for short time period travel. Strongly recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars amazing product .... short of a miracle .. this is my third Wenge
amazing product …. short of a miracle .. this is my third Wenge
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Quality
Excellent roller bag, plenty of space and overall a sturdy feel. The additional laptop bag has plenty of space for a laptop, charging cables, tablet and notebook
Good quality but a bit on the heavy side
Been using this a few months daily for my job. Carry heavy folders and laptop and is holding out well. Quite heavy, but I suppose that comes with the durability and sturdiness. Lasting far longer than previous bags of other brands.
Worth paying extra for decent wheels
It’s worth paying the extra money for decent wheels. Only 4* because I still can’t get a full set of exercise books in it – they need 30 x 30 x 25 can. But this sits nicely on the top of my wheeled crate that takes 3 sets of books, but which I can’t then move without injuring my back!
Great Quality
I have not yet used the case but after a good look over it looks really high quality and I expect no problems at all. I’ve bought it to carry a large work laptop that when combined with all the normal bits and pieces will be quite heavy. I’ll aim to report back with the experience of that very task but can see no reason why it should not excel – and it looks very nice too.
Compact Stylish & Versatile
I purchased this as a birthday present for my wife, she is a Solicitor. She absolutely loves this case because she is able to fit at least 3 lever arch folders along with other items in. other lawyers have commented on the case when she attends court. It looks and feels well made and I expect it to do well in everyday use.
Great for travelling
Very good for what i need but handle on full extension quiet woobly and loose, will need to keep an eye on but apart from that happy. Both work and personnel laptop’s fit fine (15.6in).
Great product, delighted with i
I travel loads & as the airlines limit your checked luggage options, this is just perfect for a few days out of country. Handle is a little loose in terms of flex, but so far it’s great. It’s certainly got a good few useful pockets albeit some are small and you can’t actually get a finger into them.
Very good roll along briefcase. had 3 of them over the past 5 years. After a 12-18 months of bumping over London pavements, eventually one of the wheels falls off and the only option is to buy a new case.
The other pain in the neck is that the screws on the telescopic handle come loose and you cannot collapse it….this happened a few times when meeting anew customer which was very frustrating. I now keep a tube of nutlock and a small screwdriver in the case for periodic repairs while I am travelling along on the Underground! ….
The fall-off wheels and loose screws have led me to looks for other options many times but have found the briefcase good value for money so keep buying another one.
Pity the manufacturer cant sort these 2 simple problems….especially the loose screw problem….seems such a simple things to put right. i have noticed other reviews refer to the same problem.
I wanted something for business trips when I’m only away for one night and this is perfect. I can fit everything I need in there, laptop, ipad, charging cables, paperwork, a change of clothes and washbag.
This bag is very, very good indeed. I needed a bag to carry clothes and conference equipment and this fits the bill. Easy to manage, very well made, very professional in appearance. This is the new design and the problems associated with the old design have disappeared. I am delighted with the purchase and with the delivery, which was super fast.
Initial receipt of this product was not good. I opened it to find one of the wheels was very loose and wobbly! I sent the product back without delay and new bag arrived 2 days later of which the wheels are solid and I am very happy with the bag. There are many zips and compartments. The back area for clothes is quite thin and small which is expected so you have to get used to rolling up your clothes 🙂
Overall a good bag for the money but watch out for wobbly wheels.
This case is outstanding! I am flying a lot, over 10 trips a month, usually for 1-2 days. Case is ideal to fit in 2 shirts, jacket, some underpants, socks, shower gel, laptop, tablet, few phones, cables, chargers etc. Everything is perfectly accessible. At the same time case is overall compact, great for overhead locker when you want to get out of the plane to taxi and hotel super fast. Overall weight even when loaded is fairly small which also helps. Case is well built. Highly recommend to everyone.
This bag cost around 90 when I bought it, so it isn’t cheap. It is, however, good quality. It includes a main bag, and a small laptop case.
Main Bag
Going from the front of the bag to the back, it has:
1. A front zipped pocket with spaces for phone, documents / tickets etc.. This also has two mesh pockets. The pocket as a whole is large enough for A4 documents.
2. A small zipped pocket. The length of the pocket matches the two red flashes on the front of the bag. This is easy to access, and can hold tickets, a phone, an iPad mini sized tablet, or an eBook reader.
3. A document pocket, with three pockets. I find this really useful for separating course materials when I am teaching.
4 A large pocket with a straining strap for a laptop or similar. It fits a large Toshiba laptop, and I can get the cable in as well. Alternatively, it would carry a lot of papers. The zipper pulls on this compartment have a loop to allow a padlock to be used, if wishes.
5. A final pocket at the rear of the bag that can be used for a shirt / blouse, etc. It also has two mesh pockets for bits and pieces. The size of this pocket is constrained by extendable handle, which is immediately behind it.
The extendable handle is in a zipped compartment at the back, so folds away completely. There is a button on the handle that you use when opening and closing it. It doesnt feel particularly sturdy, but it works fine so far. There is a band on the back of the bag with a velcro fastening, whcih seems to be there to allow it to be looped over a larger bag.
The bottom of the case has a hard plastic rest that can also be used a a handle if you need to move it about. The wheels are small, and quite neat, with the Wenger logo on their hub. There is a small carrying handle on the top, again with the Wenger logo. There is another Wenger logo on the hard plastic at the back of the bag, and a further logo on a tag inside the first ompartment.
Laptop Bag
When you buy the bag, this laptop bag is inside the main laptop compartment. It is a fairly light, padded shoulder bag. It has a soft rubber carrying handle, and a shoulder strap.
The laptop bag has a front pocket with two mesh pockets inside it, and a small rectangular pocket. The front pocket itself easily accommodates the kind of A4 size papers you would have for an average meeting.
The main pocket is a padded, zipped compartment. My Toshiba laptop, which is 36cm x 25cm x 3.5cm just fits in it, but you wouldn’t be able to fit in something much larger. This bag also has a strap on the back with can be looped over the extended carrying handle of the main case.
Overall
In use, it can et quite heavy. The main bag is not very comfortable to carry for long periods by it’s carry handle, because of the width of the bag, and also because of the amoutn of gear you can cram in to it. Obviously it is designed to be rolled, using the extendable handle, however, and it works well like this, with the laptop bag fitting well on to the handle.
It feels like a quality item to me. I don’t have anything to compare it to, but the zips are strong, the zippers are wide and satisfyingly solid, and the bag itself feels well made. It’s made as light as possible, so it’s not like handling a hard case, but it is certainly strong enough for my use. I don’t think I would want to pull it over rough ground, partly because of the wheel size, but also because I feel the wheels could be damaged (although I have no evidence for this feeling). I have used it in moderate rain, and while it’s not waterproof as far as I can see, it kept everything dry.
I use it when I am delivering training courses, and it’s great for that. It looks professional, so gives a better impression, I believe, than taking materials out of a back pack as I used to do at times. .
It’s fine to take from car to hotel to training venue, and it’s even okay on a train. I haven’t taken it on a ‘plane. I wouldn’t like to carry it, laden, for long distances where I couldn’t roll it, but for the purpose I’m using it for, it’s excellent.
Great bag!
This item could be considered slightly pricey however if you want to protect multiple expensive items such as laptops and tablets along with being able to keep your documents filed neatly then this is the case for you. It can be a bit cumbersome if you are taking multiple flights but the trade off is item security and build quality. The handle is sturdy even when fully extended and the wheels have stayed in great condition and I am over a year into using this product.
Highly recommended
"Big pull-along business case fits the bill".
This piece of business luggage is just what I needed.
With careful selection of items there is sufficient room for a protracted business trip.
Zips seem strong; seams well sewn.
Only concern is the rather thin section tubing of the handle. Rough treatment not advised.
Satisfied so far – after a few weeks of use.
Well designed and made to last. Although I had ...
Well designed and made to last. Although I had no problems getting past security, the bag was too big for overhead lockers on my FlyBe turboprop flight, and had to take out the computer bag out to get it under the seats. Flights on larger jets (A380) was no problem.
The laptop bag happily fits my 15" laptop
Bought the Patriot as an overnight bag for the multitude of overnight stays I have with work. I needed a case that could carry a change of clothes, including a suit and a variety of gadgets. I initially planned to keep the laptop bag inside the case for travelling but the reality is you need to carry them both. Size wise I can fit a suit and several shirts in the bag including toiletries. The laptop bag happily fits my 15″ laptop, tablet and cables. I’ve squeezed 3 days of clothing at a push.
So why 4 stars? Build quality isn’t what I’d expect. The bearings in the wheels are worn after a few trips which would probably equate to 2-3miles of walking with it. The telescopic handle seems a bit flexible, and whilst it’s by no means faulty I can see it failing at some point.
The message here is that you might need to go easy on it….but on the whole a good case. Don’t regret buying it.
ANOTHER EXCELLENT PRODUCT FROM MODREC
This is my third Wenger case and it has already been to Hong Kong and back. It is very well built for the price. I took the precaution of Loctiting the four set screws that retain the handle to the telescopic arms (thanks to a previous reviewer for the warning). One zip fastener was binding slightly. (used Petroleum Jelly sparingly to lubricate the zip teeth).
Great for carrying your office around with you!
This is a high quality travel bag which has been my travelling office over the last 24 months. Highly recommended for being able to fit your entire office into a compact wheel driven bag. The build quality is great, from the wheels to the zips, fabric, compartments and the telescopic handle. This is a very robust unit which has copped quite a beating while I’ve been travelling across the globe. The complimentary laptop bag is fine. Quite simple, but it does the job. Only suits 15″ laptops and smaller.
Good, solid wheeled hand luggage
I’ve had this for over a year now and used it as hand-luggage on several international trips, as well as on a number of domestic train trips or as part of my luggage for car trips. So far it is holding up very well – the wheels and retractable handle work well, although as it’s wider than taller (unlike much wheeled hand luggage) it can be a bit awkward when wheeling it through crowded airport terminals. I generally fly easyJet with their Plus programme so have a slightly larger hand-luggage allowance than standard and this seems to be acceptable for that … just, provided the front zipped compartment is left almost empty; I can get most of what I want to carry in the other compartments, plus I can carry a small second piece of hand luggage. I doubt though it would be accepted in certain other low-cost airlines. However, I’m perfectly happy with it so far and if it gives me a few more years of trouble-free service then it will have repaid the purchase price.
It's very good and functions well
It’s very good and functions well. Not quite the immaculate finish that Wenger normally has. One of the studs was not neatly finished off maybe that’s why the price is lower. Also, I was interested to see that the Swiss symbol was in black and not red as my other Wenger bag. Not entirely sure if this bag is Wenger’s standard range. However, the product is good and I’ll see how long it stands up to the hard use expected of it in time.
... week for nearly three months I thought it a good time to review
Having now used this bag five days a week for nearly three months I thought it a good time to review, it’s so far preformed perfectly is very roomy even for overnight trips is well made and seems to take the knocks of been dragged round towns and cities day in day out. It’s well layed out and easily carries all of my kit with room for more. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is the main bag would benefit from a shoulder strap
... from and in between offices and I am very happy with i
I use this case to transfer documents and large files to and from and in between offices and I am very happy with it. It has two larger sections where you can put larger items and the front section has several packets for phone, dictaphone, diary etc. Very quiet and smooth running. I iamgine it would be just as good as an overnight case and should pass as cabin luggage. Has separate laptop case which is a bonus. Arrived quickly. Overall very happy with purchase.
An excellent, well built case. I have slung it around quite a lot, dragging it on some pretty rough surfaces, and everything is holding together well so far. I can get 3 nights worth of shirts etc in it, plus all the work gear. It’s heavy, and carrying it upstairs in the winter the salt will happily spread itself off the wheels all over your trousers, unless you remember to turn it around so the wheels are away from you. The compartments are pretty cavernous and the little pockets are useful. The little laptop bag is nice too when you can leave the rest of the bag in the hotel and travel light, although I wish it had 2 zips for the laptop pocket and the strap is not particularly comfortable. But overall, it’s the best case I’ve ever had. I’m 6’2″ and it doesn’t catch my feet so long as I remember to hold the handle at one side, rather than in the middle. The case trails along behind just enough to one side to be free of my heels.
... international trips I can safely say it is the best carry on I have used
After using the Wenger Patriot for the past two months on no less than 7 international trips I can safely say it is the best carry on I have used. It is robust, can take a kicking and will hold up to fours days of clothing as well as business essentials, laptop, iPad, file, charges etc. Great value for money travel companion when compared with alternatives and I would definitely reinvest in the future
Tough and practical
So far an excellent piece of kit. I use a bag everyday and carry around 10 kilos of paperwork and such in it. After destroying a number of rucksacks, I bought a Wenger one which was so tough. Now due to a hernia I cannot carry the bag on my shoulder so I bought the roller version instead. Now I have not had it long but an inspection shows that it is built just as strong as the rucksack was and I expect it to last. As for practicality, I have brochures, order forms, folder, ipad etc and the bag has around eight different sectioned compartments and also a small top compartment for pens and such. As a home demonstration rep it does the job perfectly and looks professional when a client opens theory front door to me. If you are looking at these types of bags, you can buy them for half this price, but we all know what you get if you buy cheap. We all know why Wenger gear is twice the price of similar products. It’s because it lasts four times as long.
Laptop Bag and case
I had the previous model as it had finally broken after many years excellent service (collapsing handle causing the failure}. There are subtle differences most of which are improvements the collapsing handle seemingly better constructed. I’ve already used the new one about 6 times and all is working ok. It fits well with most overhead baggage spaces on the airplane. I am happy with my purchase.
Awesome Travel Companio
I need to travel often and was looking for a luggage which can act as my laptop case as well as have enough space to fit in my 1-2 night stop over goods. I have been using this for a while and would recommend this to everyone.
Most importantly if you want to go for a short holiday for a day or two, just leave the laptop case behind and you will have enough space to fit in most for the stuff you require in your short vacation. It has separate compartment where you can store your iPADs , Mobile phone also.
In short, Awesome stuff for both office and general use !!
Perfec
This trolley is perfect. I have to visit my customers all the time and I have packed just everything that I normally have to carry (computer, cables, files, stationary, brochures, ). I thought I had forgotten something, because I still have room enough for my gym equipment. And (this is very important, because I didn’t saw this advantage online), if it is necessary, the smaller piece can be fixed to the handle, increasing the size of the bag.
The trolley seems to be strong enough. I am sure that the use I am going to give it will be a perfect test (the sidewalks around here are violent to the wheels, to the handle and to me). I promise that, if the set misbehaves, I will change this review.
Good value roller bag
I bought this to replace my patriot 1. This will be my fourth bag. I use it daily for traveling all over the world and it really takes a hammering; by the end of the year there is not much left. You really can’t beat the value and offer especially when you realize the same bag sells elsewhere for 180. I’m a little bit disappointed with the Patriot 2 bag as it’s missing the front pocket and the pockets inside the laptop section. Other than that, it seems to have more robust wheels than the Patriot 1 and the silver telescope handle looks a lot better then the old black handle.
I purchased an earlier version of this bag over seven years ago. Last year I estimated that my bag had over 250k air miles and probably somewhere near that in ‘roller’ miles (this year I have added an additional 160k air miles on top of the 250k). It has outlasted other bags I have purchased by years and is just now showing its age. Every product I have purchased with the Swiss Army label on it lasts, however my previous bag went above and beyond the call traveling with me throughout Europe, North America and India on business.
This new bag has welcome updated features such as a more sturdy, stronger handle (my old bag lasted six years before the handle open/close mechanism began to show signs of age, and even then it always worked). The new bag has some updated storage features, however it seems close to the original design which has worked very well for seven years. The additional slim case it comes with makes a nice addition to the spacious capability of the larger bag.
I look forward to another seven years of use from this bag.
I needed a bag like this as I am traveling quite a lot and I used to carry everything in a back pack. After each trip I promised myself I am going to buy a wheeled bag but I couldn’t find a suitable one… until I discovered this.
After reading all the reviews, I did not know whether to buy it or not. I was not concerned about the quality, but the fit of the inside bag. I have a 17″ laptop and I wanted it to fit in the inside bag as well. Well, I took my chances, ordered this, it arrived the next day. And surprises surprises: my laptop fits the inside bag! One small corner remains unzipped, but you can hardly see and I can live with that, I prefer that rather than not having an inside bag at all.
Regarding the quality, it is marvelous. Great fabric, silent quality wheels, very easy to pull, the hanger comes in and out really easy, well designed with lots of partitions for everything you want. Only time will say, but it doesn’t look like the one which will break into pieces soon.
Overall, top mark. I am just wondering how I survived without a bag like this?
wow
I had been thinking of getting this bag for some time, I make regular business trips away and was getting fed up of dragging two bags around one for clothes and one for my laptop and associated paraphernalia. With this new bag I can not only carry enough clothes for at least two nights away I can safely carry all my IT equipment with the bonus that I can pull out the extra laptop bag for meetings and not have to carry the whole case around each day. Superb quality lots of room very sturdy and good looking. Next week I shall find out if it really is carry on luggage for a trip to USA.
Fully recommended for anyone who carries a lot to the office or makes regular trips away from home.
Durable, high quality piece of kit for the business travelle
I had previously owned a Wenger briefcase which Gave great service over a period of years. A back strain plus a need for greater capacity led me to purchase this item. Robust in construction and stylish to look at this item provides a quality solution for the business user like me. Lots of different pockets for documents etc, numerous other pockets for smaller items in the front compartment, built in pencil case, laptop compartment and further compartment for a change of clothes if staying overnight. My only worry was how robust the extendable arm would be but no probs so far with daily use.
What's not to love
This is my third Wenger case (had 2 faulty handles on the Potomac ) but still love them for their build quality. Bags of room (pun intended) an the unmistakable logo has tonnes of kudos. The inner case makes this a really flexible solution, although I find myself inclined to carry more paper than usual. Quick access document pocket is brilliant when using transport requiring papers and the handle and wheel solution is silky smooth. If you like to be understated whilst a tad elitist? go for it…..
Sensible and reliable
A chance buy of a Wenger Swissgear product many years ago has determined that this make is the only one for me. Cleverly made, with thought and common sense, it has all the compartments you could possibly need for an overnight trip away for work. The strong suitcase-style handle is capable of managing the weight and also serves to hold other Swissgear products, which have clever straps made to slide over the handle for ease of transporting. The stand at the base also makes this stable when stationery as well as providing another lifting handle.
This serves as travelling office as well as overnight case. with each kept separately and securely. I would definitely buy this again and recommend to friends and family.
Excellent product designed for a few days away. Never had any queries at check in about its size (though not tried Ryan Air yet…)
Compartments are very useful and comfortably fit most business needs. The small pocket is ideal for holding cash, passport and travel tickets. The overnight compartment is a bit of a squeeze but ok if you can travel light (perhaps orientated towards men as my female colleague suggested but I’m not commenting on that!)
Build quality is excellent although the handle when extended appears a bit flimsy. Given it’s design to be pulled along though, it is fine; however I probably wouldn’t test it too much as a device for lifting a laden bag.
I bought this product instead of the popular pilot cases. The multiple sections of this bag allow for a variety of uses whilst still maintaining its usefulness as a business commuters bag. The laptop bag not only attaches to the carry handle but also slides inside the middle section of the bag if needed, for security.
As an overnight bag, this product does the job, but don’t expect to take too many items with you along with your business luggage.
The wheels appear to be study and run smoothly even when loaded with heavy books and files. The bag’s trolley handle appears to be sufficiently sturdy to cope with a heavy bag and the wheels appear to be well-protected. Even though this product is not leather, the design is still sleek and professional and well thought out. I would say as a non-leather business bag it is quite pricey, but the construction and design are just about sufficient to justify the price tag. If it had a slightly cheaper price tag and I would have given this product 5-stars.
As a rolling bag addict, i love this bag. works great, sturdy and versatile. with the internal computer bag on top, there is plenty of space for an overnight trip or poss a weekend. I love the little zipped pouch, front and top, just right and accessible for phone and passport during security airport checks. Really strong extending handles, smooth action.
I’ve seen the same bag in airport shops, supposed to be duty free and cheap,,,, three times the price.
I had a small problem, when my delivery came, without the internal laptop bag, however the vendor dealt with it efficiently and without complaint.
Excellent quality robust and capacious.
I bought this six months ago to be a mobile office for the boot of the car. It’s well made, very roomy and easy to move about.Overnight compartment would hold one change of clothes (I use it for TEC), the laptop pocket is adequate and a three division file holds papers. The other pocket on the front has many pouches for pens USB sticks envelopes phone etc etc. There is also an easy access zipped pocket for tickets/wallet, and a key clip. I love it. Probably too big for plane cabins but there is a smaller version.
Does exactly what I want. A good sized roller case that can accommodate everything for a couple of overnights as well as a laptop (with charger) and some files. The front pocket is great for cables, media, pens and the other necessary items that usually result in bulging pockets.
The separate laptop bag with carrying strap is a boon as it releases more space in the case and fits over the handle if needed. The wheels are more substantial than the plastic ones on my old Samsonite that fell to pieces in under twelve months. The handle does not appear to be exceptionally strong so needs to be treated with care – but it is as good as that on most other cases and they have other drawbacks and less storage.
Very pleased with this product. My only (very slight) misgiving is that maybe I should have got the smaller, 3 compartment model, because some airlines, like Ryannair for instance, might deem this one too large for hand luggage. However, I used it on an American Airlines flight yesterday and it was comfortably within their specifications as hand luggage.
Overall, its very well made and is doing a great job. I can now carry my office around in one bag!
I purchased the Potomac over the Patriot as I gambled that I wouldn’t need the extra capacity of the larger model, and as a frequent flyer the bulk would be over burdensome. I haven’t regretted that, this model carries all that I wish it to and it is a welcome companion for me on most journeys: And it’s so much cheaper than the Victorinox equivalent.
However two things; the pull-up handle needed oiling after a short period as it became hard to open – 3-in-1 applied sparingly did the trick. Second, the carry handle has failed after exactly 12 months. The handle nylon has pulled out from under the Wenger stamped plastic rivet that holds down the handle – this is going to cause an eventual parting of the ways. I don’t overload my bag, it only carries a laptop, document wallet and a reading book etc. so I am having to get a refund from the company I purchased it from through Amazon’s website. I’ll get another Potomac when the refund arrives, but this looks a little like a design flaw. I hope I’m wrong, because this particular size and style is ideal for my purposes – and I’d hate to have to save up for the Victorinox!
Prior to this purchase, I had used a hardcase Samsonite “pilot-case” since 2002. After 7 years, and over 200 days on the road a year, my Samsonite case was in tatters, but ever since I started looking for a replacement, back in 2005, I never found anything that would replace it … until now.
The Wenger is great and keeps all the things I liked about my Samsonite:
* Laptop is well protected. Though not a hard-case, the Wenger holds the laptop in a middle compartment, protected on both sides by foam, and with the posibility of keeping the laptop inside a padded pouch (which fits fine into the compartment). BTW: my laptop is a Thinkpad with 15.4 inch screen).
* Access to the laptop can occur when case is vertical (no need to lay the case flat and close all other compartments).
* The only compartment that could need flat opening, the one for “bulk” items, opens at 45 degrees which is even better than flat.
* Lots of room inside for odd-sized objects (such as my noise-cancelling headphones).
* Outside pouch for plane tickets …
In addition, the Wenger has some marked benefits compared to my Samsonite:
* Despite the space available for large objects, there is a plethora of pouches for wallet, passport, glasses, even USB stick (a minor detal, but it’s nice not to have to fish through my bag to get my USB stick anymore). In the previous models that I researched since 2005, these extra pockets always seemed like a gimmick, but with the Wenger, they all seem useful (and most of them are useful to me (and none of them “gets in the way”).
* Most importantly, despite all the above, THE BAG LOOKS SMALL. Anyone who dreads the moment at the boarding gate when the boarding agent looks at your bag to decide if it should go into the hold or in the cabin with you, will appreciate this feature.
Good quality construction with strong, easy to operate extending handle. Easy to pull (or even push when required) and does not constantly flip over as some pull-alongs do. Loads of space and pockets in the interior, good protection for your laptop. My laptop is small, so I’d check to see if larger models fit OK. Easy to get a couple of shirts, ties, socks and other clothing items in the luggage compartment, plus toiletries. Not too large that it can’t be readily carried by the handle. A shoulder-strap would have been a useful extra. Excellent bag for a few nights away on a business trip. Fits all the overhead lockers, even on the smaller turbo-prop planes. Not been refused so far. Looks smart and professional, and several people have admired it. Too bulky to use as my everyday bag, but a great short trip bag that I think is good value for money.
I bought this case for overnight business travel purposes and am extremely satisfied. The wheels are smooth and great and easy to maneouvre, the handle slides in and out easily and the number of compartments adequate. Some reviews mentioned it doesnt have a strap for carrying on the shoulder- but I dont think its needed. It also comes with a smaller laptop case inside which I use separately too (which has a shoulder strap). Its wide enough to be rolled in the train/ plain aisles but a bit too wide for the overhead spaces.
Bought this to replace a well used, and superb quality, Samsonite pilot case that just became too small for the mobile (female) office worker I’ve become. Scoured the web for some time for something with sufficient number and types of compartments to fulfill my needs and finally decided on this. Not disappointed with the size and compartment arrangements. Only problem I’ve experienced so far is that it just isn’t as stable on its wheels as my previous Samsonite case when it comes to negotiating steps, particularly downwards, so I have learnt to pick it up when approaching most steps – but this has been a small price to pay compared to the improved convenience. It even fits on the overhead luggage racks of the new trains I use.
