1st birthday present for my daughter. She absolutely loves it. Very easy to use. Sturdy wheel base so I don’t feel the need to worry when she’s trying to get on and off. Lovely design, have had lots of positive comments and people asking where it’s from. Appears to be very durable. Easy to clean.

Bought this for my 1yo. 1yo absolutely loves it. Very high build quality, super easy to clean and now a much loved toy, although 1yo has since moved on from scooting around on it to trying to use it as a kettle bell.

Lovely thing for little ones to scoot o

This Wheely Bug glides along the floor even on carpet. It’s solidly built but now my granddaughter is at an age where she wants to stand on everything I have to keep an eye on her when playing with this toy. Great fun though

Not only is the ride-on attractive as an object but the wheels and antennae provide a lot of entertainment too. Riding the bee seems less important to its owner than playing with the moving parts at present, but I can see that this toy will be a source of fun for years to come!

We ordered the smallest size (1-3) for our 1 year old for Christmas and it’s absolutely gorgeous in design, beautifully made and put together. The only thing is, my daughter is very tall for her age and the mouse is actually a bit too small for her. Her bum barely fits on it it’s that small. My daughter is bigger than most 1 year olds though, so if you have a small baby it should be fine. She’s not interested in riding it just yet, she pushes it around like a toy car and lets her soft toys ride on it for now but it looks really lovely sat in our living room. We prefer wooden toys to the plastic type littering most living rooms so this little mouse fits in perfectly!! Would recommend, but if baby is on the big size, go one size up! Also, make sure little one has shoes or sturdy slippers on when riding – little toes could be easily run over! But the instructions tell you all that 🙂

I can’t wait for my son to try the bug. I’m a bit disappointed it arrived with a rip. I could try to exchange it but if it gets loads of use, which i hope it will, then I’m sure it will get loads of scratches anyway. I still would’ve rather it arrived perfect though.

Quite expensive for the size as it won’t last very long due to size. A good quality product though and very appealing to look at. Goes along really well. My granddaughter was 18 months when she got it and she loves it. If for a child more than 2 I would be inclined to get the bigger one.

We bought this for my son’s first birthday. He is a heavy boy and tall for his age but the wheelybug is perfect for him. It didn’t take him long to figure out what to do and he was soon whizzing around the house. Really pleased with our purchase.

My little one plays with it all day, and her 8 year old brother. They love it! It’s very stable on the floor, they can go fast, my I’ll Tel one even holds it in her hands and hugs it, and best part- it doesn’t take much space in the house, so the dad is happy too!

I was quite weary while placing this order as I was dreading a not-child-friendly ride-on would arrive. And although my toddler kept choosing BIG Bobby for the first few months, this tiger toy is quite popular (though Bobby is much more often used as it was there 2 years before this thing). My 11-months-old also likes Bobby (due to the sibling’s preferences I assume and the fact it has a button and a steering wheel), but this tiger is constantly used to leanon to walk. And although our floors are partly quite slippery, the baby manages nicely and mastered a safe stroll.
It’s super manoeuvrable and its back is quite even for a child to sit on without a too-noticeable tilt. It’s easy to clean and looks good after a year of light use.
    Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMy 4 year old daughter has endless fun with this toy. She wheels around the house every day. It works well on wood floors and less so on carpet. It’s lovely quality, perfect size for a 4 year old. We had the smaller version previously which worked well up to age 3, this one is great for 3 plus.

This has been a lovely toy to help my son become more confident towards walking, learn to scoot with his legs and develop a bit more physical independence. It is really well built and very sturdy, doesn’t tip easily, has really flexible steering and has lasted brilliantly. It is shame my son is so tall as he was a little big for it by the time he could really zoom around on it much, but he is right at the top of the height spectrum.

This is the third one we’ve bought for our grandchildren and each of them has loved them. They start by just pushing them around, then gradually learn to ride them. This one has the very attractive plush covering. No idea yet how well it will wear so can’t rate durability properly. However, the previous two wheelybugs are still going strong so the basic functionality is excellent.

Love this! Well worth the money. Really well made, quirky and cute. Love how the wheels turn any direction. My daughter is 22 months and I wasn’t sure which size to go for. After reading reviews I decided to get the large one and she struggles slightly to reach the floor enough to get going. That being said I’m glad I did get the bigger one as it last longer but either size would be fine at this age and she loves it.

Lovely product. Well made & super cute & nice to have something non plastic! A little tricky for my 1 year old to master sitting on, he prefers to use it as a walker because it’s easy to slide off when sat, but it does not detract from how lovely it is.

I bought this Wheelybug mouse for my goddaughter’s first birthday! As noted by other reviewers, it is smaller than you think, but it was the perfect size for my goddaughter and I’m sure will last her for quite a while as her three year old sister was able to ride it too! It is made with good quality materials and seemed very sturdy and well put together. The top of the mouse where the child sits only has minimal padding, but this certainly didn’t seem to bother her. As well as riding it, my goddaughter also used it to walk with, so, I’m sure it will be useful as a walking aid too! The only negative I would say is the price, but then it is a quality product, so I suppose you get what you pay for! Overall though, I am very pleased with it!

Fabulous toy! I bought this for my little grandaughter who is 16 months old. It is perfect as it is really low and little, so ideal for a small baby unlike most sit and ride toys. My grandaughter could operate it immediately, sitting on it and using it as a push a long toy also. She can also get off it without hurting herself because it is so low. Needs help getting into sitting position atm. I am confident this will be a well used and loved toy as my great niece who is 4 still uses and loves her mouse! Well worth the money and so much nicer than plastic junk equivalents in my opinion!

The ladybird design really appeals not only to me but also to our toddler and 5-year old. The toddler cannot ride on it yet, as she seeks sturdy stability for early steps rather than a moving thing. But I have seen her TALK to the ladybug and she pings her feelers with endless joy. My reservation: Everything about the bug is clearly made to last and the wood and metal parts give a nice natural feel, however the PU cover is a concession to cost, I feel – sturdy, but not very natural.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBest toy ever! Kids played with it starting from age of 1 to 6, until we eventually have it away to a friend with smaller children. It’s a good toy to gain equilibrium and coordination, excellent before buying bikes or similar “vehicles”. Plus it’s just adorable and stayed just as pretty all this time! Have to appreciate the base board being in plain wood, as any colourful paint there would leave marks on the walls as has happened with some other toys, plus it is nicely round on edges so bumping into any object or person is not really a problem.

Bought for my Grandsons first birthday but being enjoyed more by his 3 year old sister ( my Granddaughter ) as it was a little too if for him until recently. I bought this for my daughter’s first birthday and she used it as a walker and we would sit her on it and race her around the house. She LOVES this mousy. Always a favourite, every toddler and child has always made a beeline for it when they come around. She’s now nearly 3 and still uses it daily. I’m so pleased we bought the large size as she will continue to get use out of it for at least another year or so. Still looks brand new despite daily use. It won’t look like a hand me down when her sister is old enough to use it!

I bought this for my granddaughter’s first birthday. She is now 13 months old and it is her favourite toy by far. The whole design is very user friendly and stable for a small child but it is the castors that are the amazing part. She uses it to push at the moment and it is so easy to move round with the swivel castors. She is not a confident walker yet but she is very confident almost running while she pushes it round the furniture and in and out of the rooms. Preferably chasing me! Great fun.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhat a lovely, beautifully made toy! Colours are gorgeous, finish is sleek and durable. I especially appreciated the small size. Got it for my baby when he was just over 1 year old and didn’t walk yet. Wasn’t sure if this would be completely safe for him but I didn’t need to worry. He instinctively knew how to sit/move and hold onto the toy. 6 months on, he walks but still really enjoys riding on his bee and chooses to play with it most days. Despite that, the quality is so good that it looks completely brand new. I think this toy would stay in family for generations! Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNowadays you can pick up a ride along toy for around 10- 15…so I was a little apprehensive about the hefty price tag but it is SO worth it. Not only is it absolutely adorable, but it’s so easy to maneuver too! My daughter had absolutely no trouble. The wheels go in all directions, unlike the rigidity you see in the cheaper ride on toys, which obviously means more fun for your little ones as it’s far less frustrating! I am really really happy with this purchase, and as soon as my daughter is too big for the small one I will be buying the next size up!

what a truly lovely item. Bought for my one year old niece, the small is the perfect size for her. She loves to sit on it and be pulled backwards and forwards and, when she is a little bit bigger, it will be very easy for her to push herself around on. Structurally this is a very solid item, made of wood and so I expect this to last a very long time indeed. The covers are very cute as well and can be removed for easy cleaning

This is a fantastic walking aid for any child’s first steps and ride on for any ridler. My daughter loves it and wants to take it everywhere. It has the perfect resistance so it doesn’t just run away from her on any surface or let her fall foreword. It is a solid toy and is going to withstand any kind of useshe will like give it. With this being available in different sizes I will definitely be buying them as she grows.

We bought this for my daughters first birthday. She is very tall for her age so we chose to go with the large, although it was slightly big to scoot around on she was still able to sit on it and loves pushing it around so I’m glad we opted for the larger size as I think she’ll get more use out of it in years to come. It’s a really lovely toy, made to a high quality and my daughter loves playing with the ladybird antennae, very pleased with the product and the service we received. The only negative would be I wish they made changeable covers for the large wheelybug as they do the small ones.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy son loves this pig ride on toy! A gift for his 1st birthday i didnt think he’d be able to ride on it until a little older but he can! I was unsure about whether or not to get the bigger size after reading other reviews. Im glad i didnt as the smaller size was perfect to be used right away. I bought the larger one after reading the reviews that the small one was too small for their tall one year old as my son would be 13 months at Christmas and he’s quite tall, it’s about the right size but unfortunately he’s not ready for a sit on toy yet , great quality looks good and he loves the cow horns , and because I got the larger one it will be suitable for a few more years

This little ride-on is very robust and well worth paying a bit more for than the plastic alternatives, most of which have a steering wheel or handle bars that are fixed, so that the rider can only go backwards or forwards. Fitted with castors, this little ride-on can go in any direction. The thing that perhaps we were not ready for was a “learning curve” for the younger rider. You and I, as adults can see that what you do is sit on the thing, hold on to the loop and propel yourself with your feet in the direction that you want to go, but I have to admit that this concept was not easy for our 1-year old grand-daughter to grasp as a first-time experience. The plastic variety that involve an element of balancing, would surely have been more of a challenge however. This toy will last for years or until our grand-daughter tires of it and wants something more complex – whichever occurs the sooner. In the meantime it represents a sound play investment.

This was my grand-daughter’s first birthday present. She is too small to sit on it yet but loves pushing it round the room and practising her walking skills. I’m really glad I bought the large size as it’s still not very big – can’t think why they make the smaller size really. Her five year old brother manages to sit on it and scoot himself along fine – until he gets shooed off as it’s Matilda’s toy! I’m sure she’ll have loads of fun when she is able to sit on it and ride properly.

Quite pricey, but the quality of this toy justifies this.
Great toy, smaller than we expected but then, it is for 1 year olds+, very sturdy too.
Easy to clean and lovely soft materials, we were very impressed with this!
We liked that the Tiger design was a little different too (From the more commonly seen Ladybird Wheelybugs).
Our daughter managed this from 1 year as it’s very stable and it’s still flying around the house nearly 2 years later!
Very attractive and well made with strong castor wheels and wooden base, so much nicer than cheaper alternatives, no plastic, stickers or chatty sound effects etc with this. Highly recommended.

My 14 month old granddaughter loves her Wheelybug pig! She can’t walk yet but can whizz around on her pig, giving her independence and building up muscle strength and balance in readiness for walking. The pig is just the right size and she holds onto the handle so it seems to be ergonomically designed. It is very manouverable and she can ride it just as easily on a hard floor and on carpet. It is well made and very sturdy. I thought it was a bit expensive when I bought it but now she is riding it I think it is worth every penny.

We bought this for our son’s first birthday, thinking it might help him with his balance and boost his confidence to walk. We also picked this brand because of its reputation for being sturdy & qualitative, and this design because it is not too massive compared to other models.
After one month, our son doesn’t use the Bee as a ride-on, but as a walker! He will push it around the living room again and again. Sometimes on his knees, sometimes bent over it. We are not disappointed by the look and quality of the Wheelybug either, it is nice and solid indeed.
Note that Size 1 is quite small and I don’t think that our son will be able to use it for a very long time, which is why I am not giving this toy five stars but only four!

I got this as a Christmas present for my nephew. It arrived very quickly. It’s quite expensive in my opinion but seems to be a good quality toy. My nephew is too young for it at the moment but I imagine you’d have to be careful on wooden flooring at first. I read a lot of reviews saying the small size is too small, it is smaller than I imagined it would be but it would be fine for that age group (maybe even older)

Friends who come often comment on how nice it is. It was bought for my daughter’s first birthday, she still plays with it now at 2 and a half and I’m sure it’ll continue to get used for a while to come. I was concerned when I bought it as I saw comments that it’s a bit small, but it still fits my daughter fine.
I’m pleased I spent a bit extra to buy such a nice, well made, well designed toy. It has the feel of a solid, traditional, well built wooden toy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhat a beautiful gift. We gave it to our little girl on her first birthday and she was so excited when we unwrapped it for her.

She doesn’t quite operate it yet in its intended way and rather pushes her in front of her like a walker but she loves it when we scoot her around on it.

Unlike some of the other reviews who said the small version may be too small – it is just perfect for a one year old. Our little one is average in size for a girl that age and she can just about reach the floor with the tip of her feet. We also went to several stores and asked them about the sizing issue and the recommended to be the smaller version as well.

So far I am quite glad I did what they said and even my husband who initially wanted to go for the bigger version, now agrees this was the right choice!

We bought the large Wheelybug Pig Ride-On for our grand-daughter (aged 2) and it is without doubt her favorite toy to date. She is quite tall for her age and having just turned 3 I only wonder how much longer she will be able to ride it for? She races around the place and manages a fair number of crashes along the way, yet Piggy is none the worse for wear at all!

Very well made and money well spent in our view, it is only let down by the relatively small sizing.

This ladybird wheelybug is really cute and very high quality. It is padded, so softer than it looks in the pictures. It has been bought as a present for my daughter’s first birthday; I chose the large size as she isn’t quite ready to use it yet (the instructions state that the child must be able to walk unassisted and that it should not be used as a push-along walker), and by the time she is, the small will probably be a little too small (or won’t last for much longer). This will last her for a good few years. I have tested it out and it manoeuvres very well! Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis suits our 12-month year old son just perfectly. He can’t sit on it yet but he loves pushing it around. You can tell straight away that it’s good quality and built to last. Very happy so far. One tip – be careful not to stain the faux leather, as even though it’s wipeable, it seems quite porous. My 6 year old left a few inky finger prints on the tiger ‘skin’ after handling a newspaper. We’ve been unable to completely remove the marks – we’ve tried everything.

She still has to grow a little before she can sit on it comfortably, but even so, she is already pushing it around holding the handle and using it as a walker. Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchased the Small Wheelybug for my child when he was 9 months old. At the time I was in a muddle over which size to order and I am glad I choose the small one. If I had choosen the larger one, he would have been much older before he could use it properly himself and there is no fun in that !!! My nearly 3 year old still uses the small version daily and he is big for his age.
He loved it straight away. As he got older he pushed it by the handle and then went to sitting on it and to whizzing around the house. He is nearly 3 years now and quite tall for his age but still is comfortable whizzing around on the small version. It was been used nearly every day during the last 2 and a half years.
It is really well built and the fact that it is on casters makes it easy for the little ones to manoeuvre out of the corners.

Highly Recommend. One of the best toys I have every bought !

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was quite surprised as others have mentioned how small the small version of this is, especially as it comes from Amazon in a rather large box.

That said this is a quality toy, built to last and with a cute little tail as well. My niece has not actually ridden on it yet she just pushes it around backwards with the handle, but she seems to enjoy it!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe wheels bug is well made and very attractive. It works well on carpet and hard floor. I was confused about the comments and nearly bought the large wheels bug but am glad I went for the small as my 1yr old grandson (who is big for his age) just fits it. I know he will outgrow it before he is 3 but what is the point of buying something which is too big at the moment. I would rather buy a bigger one at a later date. He tends to push it around an play with the antennae at the moment but enjoys being pushed around on it. The only improvement I would like to see would be a thin bumper around the wooden base to protect the furniture! I can see many hours of fun ahead from this lovely toy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy daughter loves this ride on pig, we have an apartment with wooden flooring throughout and she drives easily around the place, the pig is very easy to manoeuvre in all directions. She also likes to hug the pig, ride on it back to front and sometimes picks it up and carries it around! It is quite expensive but it does move around easier than other ride on toys, which was important for the hard flooring here. The cuteness of the pig is also something which has added to the enjoyment for my daughter, i would recommend this toy.

This is a lovely item. We purchased the slightly larger wheeley bug for our 1 year old as we knew our 3 year old would also want to play – definitely worth paying that extra bit.

It is bright, sturdy and colourful. Highly recommended.

The only problem was the delivery by the courier company – they have delivered to me quite a few times, but internal issues within the company ( the driver!) meant my item wasn’t delivered on the day it was allocated. However the courier company apologised and gave me a shorter slot for the following day.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe Wheelybug (who has now been named ‘Gaston’ after the lady bird in Ben and Holly) is a beautifully made ride on toy. We purchased the ‘small’ version for our 1 year old who is enjoying being pushed around the living room on it as I write. The materials feel high quality, the pieces come ready assembled and are neatly put together. I was most impressed that they had thought about how babies would get off the back of the bug, the base is neatly rounded so that when they slide off the base doesn’t catch their bum!

Well done, I don’t often feel the need to write reviews but I would highly recommend this toy for the active baby.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis product is extremely well made and excellent quality. However, it’s no good if you have hard floors with rugs. It can’t cope with the change in terrain due to the small size of the castors. We now have ride-ons with ig wheels to overcome that problem. Also, on hard floors, the castors tend to make the bug slide out on cornering. We have a large kitchen with a tiled floor so when whizzing around my kids tended to go a bit fast round corners and end up crashing into walls/units. Depending on your floor type this could be great or not-so-great.

My daughter has just turned one but is very tall. After reading the reviews I decided to order the large wheelbug and this was definitely the right decision. It is a really well made, solid toy and although my daughter hasn’t quite figured it it’s to ride on she loves patting it and pushing it! It’s very cute and looks great too. Had issue with the courier allegedly delivering it and leaving it but this didn’t happen, however a replacement was sent out immediately. Definitely purchase the large as the small is not much taller than a trolley of bricks!

Got to know about the Wheely Bug via a friend’s blog and ordered it promptly – my daughter (1 yr 8 months, 84 cm tall) adores it. Safe to use – she hasn’t fallen off once. We’re lucky to have lots of space so she can ride around on it freely. I’m thankful for the recommendations to get the bigger size, which I did and am glad, the smaller one would have probably be too small even though age-wise the smaller sounded more appropriate. Now I hope she can enjoy it for a while!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought as a first birthday present for our daugter. She is smaller than all her friends, but could still reach the floor and was able to ride it (backwards for some reason?), on her birthday. It works well on carpet as well as tiles, which is great news, and the bar at the front is high enough that she also uses it as a steerable walker. Oh, and she loves the deely-bopper antennae.

Quality seems very high indeed – it’s not cheap, but I do think I got what I paid for.

Glad we bought the smaller size – it’s not so small that she’ll grow out of it quickly.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe bought this for our daughter’s 1st birthday and it has been a huge hit!
It is the perfect size for her and whilst we were initially tempted to buy the large one (for growth) I’m so pleased that we chose the small one as it has allowed her to enjoy it from day one. As yet she has not quite managed to make it go by sitting on it but she takes great delight in using it as a very high speed walker. Her four year old brother also manages to squeeze his bottom on and propel himself around (despite his long legs) so it is a popular toy in our house at the moment.
It is a very high quality item with a solid base (that has unfortunately managed to make considerable dents in our television stand) but also small enough to be stored away in a tiny space. I also think that the fact that it has four castors and not fixed wheels makes it much more fun and far less frustrating for her.
    We love it!

Couldn’t decide which size to get for my 1 year old, opted for the large, and she rides it really well now she’s 2, she’s not a big girl either. The smaller one is good for a short time (she has played with it in J.Lewis) but as they get bigger they slide off the back, they don’t really ride when they’re 1 either, opting to push it around and boing the antenna, when she gets more sturdy I reckon it would be good at the park, although she loves her scooter. Not supposed to but takes mine and eldest 13 yearl olds weight pretty well!!! Also looks lovely in my house!!

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI bought this for my daughter’s 1st birthday after reading some of the reviews that said the small size was very small.

It was too large for a one year old (as indicated on age guidance) and yet despite the fact it is described as ‘large’ it is not a big product. I am inclined to agree with other posters about the size, as I think anything smaller than this wouldn’t last that long and would be grown out of quite quickly.

However, my daughter took to it immediately, and although she couldn’t ride on it at first, she sat and moved it around and talked to it’s little face. Then when she started walking, she pushed it around and now rides on it well at 19 months.

My son who is nearly 5 also likes it, and if often caught having a sneaky ride on it despite the fact he deems it a ‘baby toy’. Most children of about 5 and under take a shine to it when seeing it.

It is by far the nicest, most well-made ride-on toy I’ve seen. It’s robust and the casters make it really fast on laminated floors and fun for the children to ride in all directions. It’s easy to keep clean, and has a padded back which makes the seat part seem quite comfy.

I highly recommend this toy and I think it’s great quality at a good price.

Every house should have a wheelybug mouse!

What an amazing investment for my 2 children. Both used it from 1 year old & my little girl is still using it at 4 years old. Great for wooden floors- super speedy!! A worthwhile investment!!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI was a bit concerned when buying this small bug as I had read some negative feedback on the size being too small. However I am so glad I bought the small bug for my grandaughter. She is nearly 1 and will be able to use it near enough straight off up until I reckon about 2.5 years. It’s matter of choice, if you want a young child e.g one year old to be able to ride it as soon as possible and have loads of fun, buy the small one. If you want them to have to wait until they have grown to be able to ride it later on in life – buy the large one! Fantastic quality and one of the best toys I have bought.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have just purchased the large Tiger Wheelybug. It is of sturdy contruction, with the seat being well padded and easily cleanable. It has a high quality wood base with castors attatched (instead of conventional wheels), which makes it highly manoeuvrable.

This is an incredibly attractive ride-on, the soft upholtery and bright colours will not fail to draw the child’s attention. The ease of movement whilst aboard the Wheelybug, can allow the child to develop both their confidence, and movement skills.

The Wheelybug may be a little ‘wayward’ for some children, especially on wooden or smooth floor coverings, which allow it to gather up speed, which the child may not be ready to handle. However with appropriate adult supervision, the child will be able to ‘negotiate’ any obstacle at their own pace.

I would dissuade other children from pushing the Wheelybug, while being ridden by another child. as it is designed to be driven by its rider; otherwise it is potentially uncontrollable.

To conclude my review, I will say the following; good value, excellently made, visually attractive, encourages confidence and dexterity, good exercise and fun to ride. From a safety aspect,it is strong and robust and the points I raised may apply to any toy, if not used responsibly.

Lastly, the handle height is very low (tiger’s ears almost touch the top of the handle);this is not so in the illustration. As the Wheelybug comes assembled,it would not appear that the handle height can be adjusted, or if it can be, there were no intructions on how to do this. Have others buyers found this?

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersWe bought this for our youngest but the eldest loves it. I though they were expensive but now I know why. They are made beautifully and provide hours of fun. My kids use it on the wooden floors and it is hilarious. The castors are great and it really does go in every direction, often too fast! We also have the large Cow but both kids prefer the little one as it is faster. They are a bit dull on carpet and I wouldn’t use it outside but if you have hard floors it’s a great investment.
