Great value when on offe
Brought on offer for 170 and would say anything under or around 220 is good value for it.
Display is decent, can easily notice the smoothness going from 75Hz to its 144Hz.
Speakers are AWFUL, even comparing to my other more budget iiyama gaming monitor. Very tiny with no bass at all.
Construction is a bit flimsy.
Over all though an alright budget 1440p 144Hz gaming monito
Best for gaming loved the extra features
Hucked it up to the x box series X
Great picture and great features.
An excellent monitor which won’t disappoi
I don’t game so am unable to comment on that.
The picture quality is really excellent, so it makes a good secondary display to my 32inch LG.
It works perfectly on my M1 Mac.
Nice price and good quality
Happy with this, good picture and a nice price. Does the job
Quality, bright, loud
Screen is bright and great quality. The inbuilt speakers have good sound and are loud enough to be heard across a room with no problem. Plastic on the Screen is easily scratched so avoid touching scree
Nice QHD Monito
Got this at a discounted rate 178.00 due to damaged box. Absolutely nothing wrong with the monitor. Looks like the cables had been taken out of their packaging but couldn’t see anything missing nor any damage. Cracking price for an IPS 27″ QHD monitor. Stand isn’t very ergonomic but not an issue for me as I have VESA mounted it. The colours are quite warm out of the box – whites appear a bit yellowy however once tinkered with and calibrated (check out rtings.com for the settings) its looking spot on and crisp white.
Nice
Nice upgrade from my 24inch 60hz displays, this works with out a hitch have not came across any problems yet. I am still confused if this is IPS or not it said it is but on the packaging it said its not so idk maybe someone could help?
Happy Xmas.
Got it for my son for Xmas present, he’s happy with it.
Beas
High quality picture , only flaw is stand sticks out alot other then that won’t get better value for money on a 1440p monito
Good monito
The monitor is great but the stand is taller and wider than I’m used to so I end up hitting is alo
Best monitor I've bough
I’ve had many monitors in the past, before buying this I was using a 32″ 4k monitor along side a 27″ 1080p monitor. I was never really happy with the setup. Gaming on the 4k was good, but not great, and usually had to leave the graphics on lower settings. In contrast, the 1080p had higher settings in game but lacked the sharpness the 4k had! When I saw this monitor on offer for a superb price it was a purchase that couldn’t be missed. I’ve had Acer nitros before and like the build quality but that’s secondary to the picture quality. Some say the HDR is the let down but it’s good enough for me. I’m very happy with this purchase and have no issues with it. I know 4k gaming is the holy grail of gamers, but until it’s a fully graspable reality for the mainstream, I recommend wqhd gaming. It has the clarity of 4k but the higher settings capability of 1080p which is a pleasingly great combination on the eye.
Amazing Product!
The IPS display results in very good viewing angles. The image quality and the colour accuracy is pretty good. VBR is pretty bad on this monitor as it significantly reduces the brightness. The response time is not exactly 1ms on standard settings meaning that you will have to tweak the settings to achieve true 1ms.
5.0 out of 5 stars Superb!! I’m
Fantastic monitor. Does the job, worth the money. Would recommend
Came with nice headsets and good quality
Great monitor and great customer service from company
We ordered this gaming monitor to go with my son’s PC. We found that the icons were disappearing off the top of the screen when it was in full screen. After trying to alter all the settings to sort it, we got in touch with Amazon and Acer who replaced the monitor the next day, with free return of the old one. The next monitor was perfect. Great service, and a fab monitor. My son is chuffed to bits! Thank you so much!
Perfec
I’m so used to a 60hz monitor, but after this purchase, I could see the difference. Now I have two monitors, one for gaming and one for youtube. I can never go back to one screen.
I have it hooked up to my MacBook Air M1 which has a 13″ screen.
I am pleased with the display. Not so pleased with the tinny sound but as I will be using the far superior MacBook speakers, that was never going to be an issue.
There is one potential problem (which may not be attributable to the monitor) and that is that when I brush the HDMI cable accidentally, the monitor display disappears. This sometimes happens randomly without the cable being touched. I have tried a different HDMI cable with the same result so it looks like the fault may lie with the monitor. If it turns out that it is indeed the monitor at fault, I shall be requesting a replacement. I don’t have the same problem when hooking the Mac up to my TV.
Superb monitor!
This is my fourth Acer product (first monitor) and I am delighted. I cannot fault this product, it evens comes with HDMI and DP cables. I use two PCs with two monitors at the same desk, this Acer monitor has the ability to switch between the different computers when they are both running.
To quote Jack and Victor (from Still Game) – it’s The Bollocks!
5.0 out of 5 stars Good monitor for price
used for gaming and as a monitor quality is good picture very clea
Pretty good when HDR is off...
Display performance is pretty good when not turning on HDR on my PS5 and MacBook Pro(both 4K 60Hz).
But since it’s just HDR10, when I turn on the HDR switch on both of them, the image turns unnatural(kinda too white and colour faults may shows up)… If you want a good HDR display, this may not be your option. However, it looks pretty good when you turn off HDR!
Btw, if you turn off the HDR option in you console or PC but switch the monitor to HDR mode, it looks even better!
5.0 out of 5 stars Very strong monitor and smooth
Good quality 1080p 75Hz as expected.
Main thing is it is very strong. Heads have been butted. Controllers thrown. Not a scratch.
This monitor will support 120hz on ps5.
Excellent monitor. Outperforms my old AOC IPS and if you set it to user it will allow the ps5 to display 120hz 1080.
So yes it does support 120hz for the ps5.
The AMD freesync also seems to speed things up slightly.
The colours are vibrant and the control buttons are intuitive and easy to navigate.
An added bonus is you can set a crosshair overlay on the screen which helps with hip fire on FPS games.
Great monitor at a reasonable price.
Decent 4K HDR for the price
First, the cons:
* the speakers are *awful* – they’ll do in an emergency, but the sound they produce is really thin and tinny
* controls are awkwardly placed and a bit fiddly to operate without touching the screen
* peak brightness isn’t mind-blowing
* small amount of light bleeding in the bottom centre of the screen
Now, the pros:
* picture is sharp and colours are excellent
* FreeSync works fine with my Xbox Series S, and GSync seems to work OK with my laptop
Overall, for a budget entry into 4K and HDR this is a pretty good choice; although it’s not going to blow you away compared to a QLED display it’s definitely a step up from my old 2K/SDR monitor – blacks are pretty black, and while it’s not *super* bright it’s still good enough for close range. Assembly is pretty straightforward (the instructions for assembling the stand are missing information on how to actually connect the stand to the monitor, and it was a little stiff so I was afraid I was doing it wrong and something was going to snap), setup was also simple (although every time I use the controls I’m worried I’m going to get a big smudgy fingerprint on the screen), and while the built in speakers are terrible it’s handy to be able to connect my desktop speakers to the headphone socket so I don’t have to keep manually swapping the cables when I switch between the three devices I have plugged in.
5.0 out of 5 stars it’s perfec
very good, if ur looking for a good monitor this is the one
5.0 out of 5 stars Good monitors
I bought two of these for MS FS2020 . Pleased with their performance
Worth every penny
This monitor for the money you pay has to be one of the best 4k monitors you can buy…yes it’s not got 120hz but then again it’s not costing you over a thousand pounds either…. brilliant for series x …a must buy
*Update: The monitor continues to serve me well one year later. My PS5 recognises the monitor as a valid 4K HDR output- success! (Yes I admit, without the monitor’s HDR setting turned on the colours do wash out and require calibration).
I scoured the internet for a monitor that would meet my particular needs for both gaming and content enjoyment, all without being a mammoth TV. Few 4K 120fps monitors exist in the market, most are QHD with high refresh rates. For a PC gamer, the choice is simple. Pushing 4K gaming is rare so higher refresh rates tend to be a natural choice. However, as a console, not a PC gamer, I wanted a display to show as many frames as possible at 4K resolution while still being 27inch to use with my laptop. I settled for this monitor from Acer and after much worry, find relief in giving this a full thumbs up. Few monitors match this value; IPS display, 4K resolution, slim bezels, entry-level HDR, HDMI 2.0, AMD free sync, VESA mount and menu features. All is not perfect but for the price paid, I happily accept the fine sacrifices.
The monitor features a strong gaming design. The box arrives with a power cord, monitor and stand legs. I appreciate the sharp gaming look to the stand but immediately you will notice the stand is flimsy and featureless, unable to tilt in any direction. Fortunately, the monitor is saved by the VESA mount compatibility, four holes are provided to the back middle for easy mounting. The monitor maintains good looks through its bezel-less design, at least when it is turned off, for a wide cinematic experience.
Beyond the looks, the monitor from a technical standpoint offers essential features for display minus the luxuries of a full package. Straightaway many would point out the many deficiencies like having no USB-C ports or USB ports for that matter, only one DisplayPort and two HDMI ports. Yet, when avoiding stretching into TV territory, this monitor delivers the core necessities. This monitor comes with two speakers, not great quality but still provided and enough for ordinary use. The DisplayPort is also 1.4 and both HDMI ports are 2.0, meaning you can push 4K 60fps comfortably through each port. Moreover, the HDMI port seems HDCP 2.2. compliant. My Amazon 4K Fire Stick, to great relief, successfully streams 4K HDR content to this display. At this price, I feel little regret missing out on HDMI 2.1. The integration still lags and is far too expensive in high-ended monitors. When most content reaches a maximum of 4K60, the price difference for more holds minimal value. I also easily overcame the limited HDMI ports given by using a display switch.
4K resolution being the central feature of this monitor for this price, and an average consumer fulfils expectations without pulling off anything fancy. The IPS screen is matt, providing a glare-free viewing angle during the day. The value of the display has surprised me. Content looks sharp, possessing good detail and vibrancy. I am astounded by the colour pop, I can notice rich colours and granular detail, all the whilst picture staying smooth. My expectations for this 4K quality were low and this monitor exceeds them. There are 8 preset display settings to use from, such as gaming selections, standard, eco, graphics and HDR. Of course, they are all alterable and resettable. I noticed little difference between the modes, the most noticeable difference being the brightness changes and blue light option. However, to much surprise, the HDR setting has brought a difference to the display. The HDR may not be TV quality or meet professional standards but for me, the colours look bolder, blacks look deeper and the overall screen appearing significantly brighter. Strangely, when viewing content through Amazon 4K stick on this monitor, the standard-setting offers a cold picture where blacks are washed out and colours faded. The HDR setting thus becomes the means to sometimes ‘correct’ the picture with greater colour and brightness. It is crucial to emphasise, I have not faced this issue with other connected devices on this monitor such as my laptop or PS4. I cannot professionally measure response times with this monitor, all I say for now is that I not noticed any input/frame delays or screen tearing. My input does not feel any slower, from playing explosive action games to fast-paced sports and shooters.
The minor drawback, as loudly stated by others, is perhaps the bezels. When switched off, the screen promises a bezel-less experience but once turned on, a black border appears. Personally, the border does not defeat the value of this monitor, during use I frequently forget this exists and continue enjoying the large, wide viewing experience.
In all, this monitor from Acer, priced at 300 holds exceptional value for those looking for a core means to enjoy 4K content and regular computing. The monitor sports a cool gaming aesthetic and pack essential features like HDMI 2.0, speakers and VESA mounting for a completed package. After the 4K feature, the screen is matt, wide and limited bezels. The final picture hangs on, offering detail, colour and smoothness for appreciating the resolution.
5.0 out of 5 stars quality
son is very pleased with his gaming monitor it works fab on his xbox and his gaming pc
5.0 out of 5 stars Sound quality could be better.
PC gaming and PS4 console, Sound could be better, but then with the PS4 console the sound is louder.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good
mmm think i should have spend the extra 20 to get a better screen.
5.0 out of 5 stars great quality
Ideal to fit a small space but big enough to have good gaming quality
amazing monitor does 144hz 1440p on pc but for some reason the ps5 or acer does not make it compatible for ps5 120hz.
I bough this thinking any 120+ hz monitor would work on ps5 but it doesn’t so if you are reading this comment and is planning to buy a monitor for 120hz gaming on ps5 make sure to do some research first.
I ended up returning this monitor as it was only running at 60hz on any resolution on the ps5.
Hopefully one day acer or the ps5 does an update so that they would be compatible.
Alright so fa
Not had time for a full check over, but seems alright so far.
My current concern is how short the power cable is, it’s tiny – so if you use a desk that moves up/down for standing/sitting like me you’ll have to get yourself a longer lead because this lead isn’t reaching anywhere.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great monito
Needed good quality monitor with integral speakers at a good price, searched Amazon and found this one – great buy
This monitor is very good for it’s price offering 4k@60hz and 1440p at 144hz for only 300 Pound
One thing i would like to say is that it does not support 4k@60hz with a Display Port to what i’ve tested with this may just be me but it seems while using a Display port it doesn’t offer 4k and i don’t think this is mentioned on the items description.
Other than that the colors are vibrant & offer a great cheap solution for upgrading from you’re 60hz TV or whatever you are currently using the HDR is amazing on this and you can really feel a difference and the build & quality of this product is very good and well made i would recommend this monitor for anyone who is currently looking into getting a new monitor to replace there TV or even older monitor.
Very Easy to Setup
Great Quality
Great Price
No Issues apart from Display port not supporting 4k@60hz which isn’t mentioned.
Could not be happier. I ordered this to use as a gaming monitor, but I have absolutely no experience with these things. It was packaged well, extremely easy to assemble and instructions were clear. It is also easy to navigate with the few buttons on the back. Works great for gaming and the quality is great for someone who does not care too much about the specifics, but just wants a functional and foolproof monitor.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Xbox Series S setup
Very good clear picture, perfect for my little Xbox Series S setup.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for 1st gaming monito
Absolutely amazing monitor for the price. Easy to set up, very good for gaming and the sound quality is quite good also. Highly recommended for consoles
Great Value for money!
Colours pop straight out the box, easy to navigate meny, cant comment on the stand that was supplied as ive vesa mounted mine, but overall very pleased and great value for money.
only con is that id of hoped for a display port cable to be included with the product but was on hdmi.
1ms 75hz what's not to like
Powerful is not the word, i bought two of them as i have a twin set up on my pc. but i didn’t expect just how good they look and how good the screens are. I wish i did this sooner. i know they are 4K UHD 2160p but far as i know you can’t get that high so thats a bunch of crap. but they are worth every penny i spent to set them two together on my pc
Great buy
Amazing monitor, no dead pixels, 1ms response time, and the screen quality is better than expected for the price.
Only problem is the stand sticks out at the back which means it needs to sit further forward on the desk than what I would like.
This monitor is actually pretty decent for the price that I paid. It isnt the best monitor ever but it does the job for console gaming. However, if you play on PC then I would recommend paying a higher price tag in order to get more FPS when playing games because this monitor caps you at 60FPS. The stand isnt too wobbly but it does move a tiny bit, but not enough to effect you because it doesnt move while you are gaming.
Overall, this product is good for console gaming but if you have a PC then dont buy this because it would be completely not worth it.
Had a few monitors, trying to find the best for the next gen Consoles (series x and ps5) . This is the best I’ve tried so far. Yes it doesn’t run 120fps like some, but I’d take the gorgeous 4k at 60fps any day. Sound is an added bonus and very decent indeed. Had more expensive monitors but this is a keeper until 4k at 120fps become a thing.
Not been into gaming monitors as one who likes photography using just a 60hz full HD to play games, too, but this is great. Refresh rate of 144hz, flicker free, is refreshing to my eyes and the brightness is a dazzeling. Not calibrated the monitor, yet, but will do at some point.
It’s a virtual world of difference to see crisp details and a bigger screen playing War Thunder and Train Simulator. The QWHD/2k brings games to life with beautiful colours and more realisting details. The 27 inches of screen real estate is the right size for epic battles and great defeats.. I mean.. victories… *cough*.
Having a play with the settings and found ‘normal’ in the white balance is good for me. Of course I will get a second pro monitor for editing photos, but I have this one for games and second monitor for email checking, another source window in video editing or widening the desktop if I need to.
As for the thin bezzle, well, errm, even though it’s true.. it’s not exactly on screen. The screen has a border at each side and at the top. So, no difference at the moment for me there *scratching head in wonder*.
I wish the stand would be telescopic and height could be adjusted. Still, there’s always back copies of Yellow Pages or old house bricks to lift the monitor up a bit – nah, but I do use plastic boxes from a pound shop.
Sharper than full HD and cheaper than 4K, this is an excellent comprimise inbetween that doesn’t dissapoint.
This monitor is very good especially for the price your paying(when I got his monitor it was 91.66), The size I got was 21.5 inch and was 1080p. The monitor is 75 hertz which adds a bit more smoothness while using the monitor. The monitor I got did have VRB which makes your monitor run at 1ms but it doesn’t look good because it makes your screen darker and it flashes weirdly which is annoying so don’t buy this monitor for the 1ms response time.
Apart from that the monitor I got is in perfect condition and has no dead pixels or any damage to it. The slim borders makes the monitor look good and a lot more modern. The monitor I had before I bought this was older and had bad colours, bad viewing angles, bad brightness and thicker bezels. Using this monitor side by side with my old monitor makes the huge step up in quality very obvious.
I’m very happy with this monitor and I would recommend this monitor to anybody looking for a good budget monitor.
So I’m going to add that this monitor is a really good monitor and I’m quite fussy when it comes to stuff
My main purpose of this was for design and for gaming the picture quality is good it can be changed by the windows app or the button at the back there’s alot of pros to this monitor sure it doesn’t have a picture by picture mode.but has other cool splitting features on the windows app
It supports hdr although apart from it being brighter I don’t see much change on the PS4 pro
Now my main issue I has was I wanted a 1ms reapomse rate monitor and it turns out this a 4ms model make sure the model number ends in 001 for that model as this doesn’t support vrb which from my understanding turns it from a 4ms to 1ms with a hardware boost
Apart from that it’s a great monito
