It needs firm mounting and don’t expect the Cork to last over long as it’s very thin and only backed with the type of cardboard found in a packing carton. When it eventually wears out I’ll fit some cork floor tiles as a replacement as the frame looks longer lasting.
This is the same, but it’s thick enough that pins do not go through the cardboard into the wall!
It is reasonably easy to put up but you do need to be accurate with hole drilling as there is no room for error with the tiny screw hole fittings.
Firstly let me comment on the packaging. It was so securely packaged that even if it were to be dropped from an airplane, I doubt anything would happen to the board inside.
The item comes with instructions to fit, as well as the screws, plus, and pins to attach to the wall. They are clear and easy to follow, and with the fixings given, make the installation process a breeze. (Note: You will require a drill, and a spirit level).
The board and frame are of high quality and it looks great in my study. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for one.
Exactly what I needed, a big board which has plenty of space to use. It was easy to put up on my wall & is clearly sturdy and made well. Would certainly recommend!
As the photo shows, this is a large noticeboard indeed, about half the size of my garden office door.
The frame is a nice aluminium and the corner pieces are removable for easy attachment of the frame to a wall, after which they are reinserted to hide the screws.
The cork isn’t the thickest or the densest I’ve used but then again the price probably reflects this. The included 5 pins are, of course, insufficient so you can see quite a few extra I purchases from Amazon at the same time. Papers are held sufficiently securely so I can’t complain.
I’d buy it again as I consider it value for money.
The last cork board I had was always dropping to pieces, dropping off the wall if I ventured to threaten it with a post-it, or, just collapsing from the corners!
I spotted one half the size of this one with a wooden surround that was rather pointless in size so this is a treat when it is named ‘BASIC’.
The delivery man wasn’t the usual Amazon Prime man or van; he stood the board on the edge of the step unaware at that point whether anyone was in to receive the item. He stated that he had handed it to the customer on his delivery machine although he had not!
With the gale force wind prevalent at the moment in this area, this board would have gone the same way my neighbours’ tin cans went last week, i.e. rolling all up the hill!
In terms of sterdy they are ok, probably not the heavy duty but they will perform. However I do think they are over priced for what they are. But when you compare to what else is for sale then they are the cheapest. Everything comes with them to install, but as they dont weigh very much, I did not screw them in to the wall, I used the velcro strips from 3M hangers which worked really well. Would I buy again, then yes I would but would still gulp at the price.
The board is well presented and looks good. The thickness is exactly right for the pins, which are easy to insert.
The aluminium frame is sturdy and has a nice finish. I ordered one of the larger sizes for the office and it fits in with the others perfectly. This is a good and reasonably priced buy.
I bought the board to do 500 piece jigsaw puzzles on as I’d tried other boards and found them very cumbersome and heavy. It is absolutely fine for me as there is lots of space to create the puzzle and also to display the remaining pieces. Apart from that the board is light to move around. So all in all, am very pleased with it.
It’s sturdy. No need to worry about the pins going through it either.
Easy to set up. I did have to make a hole in the top middle though since I can’t use the screws in the wall – plus I like to take it down from the wall to move plot points around.

My delivery driver did leave the product outside when it was raining which wasn’t good but luckily my board wasn’t damaged,

This was bigger than I expected but is so lightweight and very useful for pegging up paperwork that would otherwise get lost in a drawer somewhere. I have even managed to hang it (using cup hooks and string) over the front of some unsightly open storage shelves so it now serves two purposes – storage and camouflage!
My only downside would be that the wall plugs and screws provided weren’t the best quality, but I’m not sure it matters as the cork board is very lightweight.
