We bought a cheaper product which didn’t even get put up. Not had this long but been used plenty of times and works perfectly
Delivers as expected.. but will it last the test of time?
Quite happy with this purchase. Comes with some very sturdy screws/plugs for installing the bracket into brick (advise a good 10mm masonry drill bit and mains powered hammer drill). Once thats up, rest of the installation is straight-forward. Ideal for use around the garden, especially with a power washer. Materials seem of OK quality, so hope this lasts for years to come as not exactly cheap.

Internal piping not connected and leaking tap connector
The accessories that come with the hose reel are of poor quality
I had to replace them with hozelock ones as the poor quality ones just leaked or stopped working.
Most annoying was the Internal piping was not connected and the water gushed out
After teething problems its all working now therefore 5-stars is not over rated
Lesson learned buy established branded goods instead of trying to save few quid cuz u end up paying more
Rewinds easily
What a great product, this hose is both strong and easy to install, the rewind is so easy to use and hasn’t let me down once, it is a good well made item both strong and durable.

I has made reeling in my hose a simple job. No more hose on the lawn or heavy lengths to shift. A very good purchase and also a good price.
Well-made and top quality
Delighted with hose. Have quite large garden so an easily accessible hose is vital. Does the job perfectly. Easy to install and simple to use. When fully extended return can be quite quick so hold on tight and walk it back. So good that after using it better half said: “Why didn’t we get one years ago?!!”

Good quality product well made easy to install on a wall with good anchor screws,good quality hose which i wasn’t expecting at the price this is, very happy. Life now is so easier with the ability to rewind the hose back onto the reel no more struggling,if you want a good priced hose reel this is the one to buy,must add it has a good length of hose also.brilliant.!!!

Read the instructions well before fitting,,,tension hose BEFORE extending,, Works well and retracts quickly..seems good value so far.
Better than expected
Great garden hose. Have not been disappointed. Easy to install and use. Can only give 4 stars for sturdiness as only time will tell. A good purchase and a very solid 4 stars overall.

Sturdy and easy to use, especially the design means we are able to use the hose both at the front and back of the house! It swivels on the mount and we mounted it at the corner, luckily we had that option due to the positioning of the tap!
On the down side as the hose can just be lifted off the mount, feels less secure, as someone could access the backyard and walk off with this!
Make sure you have your own wall plugs
Whilst the item was easy to put up the only issue I had was that the instructions stated to use an 8mm drill bit , the wall plugs claimed to be 8mm but they are very soft and crush if to dare use anything to assist them into the wall, so have another set ready.
I must have gone through every hose design out there before committing to a wall mounted one, installation does require drilling into a wall so more effort than wrapping one up etc, but its so much more convenient and has not broken once (touchwood) like I found with other ‘brand name’ hoses. The spray hose attachment is a bit old school and no functions, so I would suggest buying something of higher quality if you want soaker/jet/mist etc, (I have many spare due to all the old broken hoses here…) other than that the fittings are decent and you should get along brilliantly with this! Very happy and so is the dog and car now its not and effort to pull it out and then watch it snake back in automatically with the auto recoil feature.
Overall it is worth every penny, and compared to the likes of Hoselock/Gardenia it is almost half the price but just as good, however there are one or two little niggles.
1. The item description states there is 2 metres of “Feed Hose”, WRONG !! on mine it was only 1.6 metres long which meant I had to completely rethink where I was going to mount it.
2. The instructions state you’ll need an 8mm masonry drill, WRONG !! it is a 10mm, anything less and you’ll never get the supplied rawlplugs into the holes.
POINT TO NOTE : It is very BIG and very HEAVY so take this into consideration when choosing a site for it.
Overall this is a very good hose reel and assuming it’s long term serviceability is good, I see no reason not to give it a good 9/10 for effort
######## UPDATE ########
After a couple of months use I’d revise my rating to 10/10, it really is great, the automatic recoil is amazing, very powerful and has no issues recoiling all 30 metres of the hose at an amazing rate.
Considering the ‘hose lock’ equivalent is double the price it’s great value for money!
Having said that, ball race the drum runs on doesn’t appear to be as good a quality, but you do get clear ‘fuel hose’ as the link between the drum and the water supply
I have waited a long time to revue this as so many bad revues online.
I cannot fault it except the mounting screws are not really big enough for the weight.
I use it weekly to clean 3 vehicles at full stretch and the wife uses it daily in the summer to water her plants.
It always returns. Has never jammed and is still on the original attachments.
I have seen complaints about the wall bracket and I have to say I have had no trouble at all but do not over tighten the mounting screws as this could possibly cause the plastic to crack.
If care is taken fitting this unit it should last for years.
I only gave a 4 star rating as most 5 star ratings are not real and I wanted this to be see

I bought this for my granny who’s in her 80s. It was easy to set up. I put it in with a couple of ‘spit hits’ the plugs that came with it didn’t seem enough for me, albeit I have been know to go over board the plastic cover and hose appeared thick and good quality.
It doesn’t take much to pull it out and spray and a simple tug will put it back in.
I’ve just removed it for the winter and it’s now tucked away for winter.
I would recommend this product.

Thaw instructions are OK please read the well hidden last pages about minimum installation height . Probably important (drainage) . If you can’t find screws , look again , they are hidden in bubble wrap! . Generally an excellent product at a super price . Only time will tell about about long term quality , but Amazon basic is usually good .

A lot cheaper than hozelock , seems to have a very strong return spring.
Had to cut of the first meter of hose it had not been fully retracted before packing, hose had been doubled over and would not bend back.
I do not think the hose is as good as my hozelock unit
the amazon hoe kinks easy and is a bit plasticky why the lower price ?
Quality kit at sensible money
Our old hose was well past its best, and had been needing replaced for a long time. The challenge I had was to get to the end of my garden I always had to link up another hose, and all the longer units were really expensive. I bought the 35m version of this, and I will admit it’s a heavy lump of a thing, however once the bracket was on the wall with the big screws and plugs supplied I suppose I will never lift it again. Fittings are good, actual quality of the hose itself seems really good. I like the fact it stops wherever you do, you don’t have to wait for locking clicks like my last one, and the recoil handles the whole 35m easily. I suppose my only fear is the weight combined with the spring pressure when reeling out on the mount, but only time will tell on that. Overall it seems every bit as good as premium brands at a better cos
I am very pleased and extremely shocked at how cheap this is to be honest. I was looking at expensive brands and Amazon popped up their advert and said try this instead. So I did as the price is very reasonable. This works very well and even though I have only fitted it to the wall thus far I am very happy with it.
The only down side to this is that the wall plugs are terrible. Don’t use the wall plugs that come with it. The screws are awesome but go to the hardware store and buy heavy duty decent wall plugs. You’ll thank me for it.
Really well-built and works at least as well as the 'expensive competition', but it is heavy!
We have been really impressed with this hose reel – it is very sturdily built and works at least as well as the Hozelock alternatives (which are typically more expensive for the same length). There is a self-directing hose guide which helps to ensure the hose coils up neatly around the drum, and the hose itself is full-bore 12.5mm rather than the ‘compact’ 10mm found on some other reels (so provides better flow and means you can use standard hosepipe fittings).
Would definitely recommend – although do note the weight as it’s quite heavy. The supplied bracket is more than strong enough, just be aware that the wall you are fixing it to will need to support the weight (fine on a solid wall but exercise caution if mounting on a flimsy wooden shed!).
Huge. This maybe a problem for some people but for us it’s great. Bought the extra length hose so initially very heavy. Once mounted though, the spring inside that winds it all back in seems strong and robust enough that it kind of explains why. This isn’t a flimsy thing at all. I’m sure it would last winters, but this coming one I will be putting it in the garage. The only reason for this is if I could pinpoint one area of possible weakness would be the enormous bracket it’s mounted on. The vertical plastic shaft is screwed to the wall using supplied wall plugs etc. Again, it feels and looks up to the job but plastic is plastic and weather might in years to come weaken it. It’s not mounted in a sunny spot so UV won’t really affect it. Time will tell but I’m feeling positive.
Good hose - watch you don’t get sprayed!
Very good hose, and value for money. I am pleased with it, however, one small niggle is that the hose keeps ‘popping out’ under the water pressure at either end! I don’t think my water pressure is really high, and I don’t have the tap on full, so not sure why this is happening. It’s quite annoying and happens at either end – tap end, I’ll notice a drop in water pressure at the nozzle end, go and check the tap, and find that the pipe has come out of the attachment and the tap is just running onto the floor. If it happens at the nozzle end, it just pops out and gets me absolutely soaked!!

o fitting instructions but VERY easy to see how it’s supposed to go up. I’m not entirely sure what the ‘inspection hatch’ on the top is for and can’t see an obvious need.
Was a bit surprised by the relatively small screws supplied considering the weight of the unit. That said its on the wall and solid so I’m not concerned now.
For future models, it would be handy to have some sort of wall hook or anchor. My thought is that if this is caught by a strong gust, it will start to swing out and smack against the wall.
Overall, very happy but I won’t be leaving this out on the bracket through winter. I sense that the casing won’t last more than 3 seasons if left out all year. Due to the design though, it simply slips off the mount with a lift so, again, not overly concerned. Happy so far but time will tell if it has longevity.

Never ever right reviews, Was looking at one for twice the money. Turn up , very nice bit of kit. It’s already to go. Make sure you get a good wall for this to fix to as heavy. Comes with screws and plugs. 30 metres of good hose. End nozzle is a bit shit so prob have to buy one of those.
Ok you have to pull hard and it out it comes. Also very handy that the bracket it sits on, rotates right and left. When you get to where you are using the hose it stays in position. You are ready to put the hose back. Pull it hard forward and then its brilliant as it pulls the hose back to the base with no knots kinks and settles back into the starting position. Only had it a day but it was fab.
Negatives
Mounting instructions no hole dim in English section but shows 8mm drill bit in the othe languages BUT it isn’t it’s 10mm v annoying I didn’t have a 10mm masonry but got it done.
Nozzle didn’t work won’t shut off, maybe faulty or my water pressure is too high I have spares so not a problem for me
Other wise it works treat looks smart winds in an out nicely the above now you know shouldn’t deter you from buying this for this price it’s good
