Just what I needed for valuables. Great price and arrived quickly.
– No battery included
– Poor packaging + Weight = there’s almost no chance this will arrive without some sort of damage. Ours came with a long gouge down the side. Nothing that compromised the function but annoying nonetheless.
– It’s cheap quality but inexpensive. Will only prevent the casual passerby from getting it but that’s all safes until you get to the $$$ kind.
I was looking for a safe that didn’t break the bank. This safe was the heaviest safe I could find at this price point. Once secured to the floor I felt much better. This is still a cheaper safe but puts me at ease storing valuables and a handgun. I also put my valuables in a fireproof case inside the case for more protection. The keypad is easy to use and the door handle is smooth. I like the shelf and the size of the safe. The backup key doesn’t seem to fit but that might be a user error. Would definitely recommend t when on sale.
So I bought this one and I’m satisfied
Good, the price. Bad, is not heavy enough to stop brugers to carry it home. Handle is loose and feel cheap. The front keypad is super easy to get knockoff from the safe, need to be careful when shutting the door. Overall ok if you are on a budget.
The safe was packaged well setup was ease, it’s not fort knots but i wanted it for the fire protection.
The safe is 14Ga steel so it will take some time to break into it has 3 live and 2 dead bolts.
All in All for the money i made a good choose.
This is a good starter safe! If you are looking for something to store some personal affects. I recommend getting this safe. I’ve read reviews that talked about how cheap the handle is and how terrible the combination pad is. The handle is not top of the line, but it’s not a deal-breaker. It’s how you handle your products that will determine how long they will last. Don’t ding the product if you’re rough and careless. The safe comes with one shelf and a second one cannot be purchased. That is my only complaint.
I have this hidden behind a picture with hinges for access. It is embedded in the wall and is hidden perfectly. The safe is sturdy, functional and has a key for back-up in case the battery dies or you forget your code.
Overall a great buy and a cool installation.
I found the 1.24 safe satisfactory for my purposes and at a fair price for the limited security it provides. I would recommend this safe for the average house. Just make sure it is bolted down. I drilled a side hole in the safe and bolted it to the wall.

his is just the right size .. and very easy to use ,, love that it has a keyed entry for it to .. not just the key pad .. its bigger than what I was expecting .. seams very well made .. like in some of the reviews the door does have a little play in it .. I’m going to put some thin rubber weather striping around the door , and see if that will take out the play .. it came well packaged . no damage to it . so I’m happy about that .. I really do like that one shelve is adjustable.. I added the light on the in side .. its from the dollar tree .. works great in there ..
The product is as described. The factory preset code failed to open the safe using the keypad. I followed the instructions faithfully to reprogram a new code but failed in my multiple attempts. I called Amazon. They wanted to replace the entire heavy unit. I stated that I could still open and close the safe using the key. Not believing in waste, I offered to keep the safe and Amazon on their end offered a financial credit to offset the product flaw. A win-win situation.
It arrived (about 2 hours ago) extremely well packed and arrived with absolutely no knicks, dents or scratches. It arrived looking exactly as I would expect, show room quality!
It’s hefty, which I expected, but I am (at 67 years old, and haven’t seen the inside of a gym in many years), able to lift it and move it short distances with no real difficulty.
Followed directions, very detailed manual included, put in a battery, used the factory code to open. Continued to follow instructions (watch out when entering a code: to open, you end with the pound sign, when you are setting a new code, you end it with an asterisk) to set my own code, and everything went according to plan. Again, if instructions are followed everything should go quite smoothly.
One thing I like is you are not limited to a four digit code, you can set anything from 4-8 digits, I like that feature. I also like the adjustable shelf, if it had been fixed, I would have had problems getting my stuff to fit.
It was mentioned that the electronic box that you enter codes on is flimsy. Yes, it’s plastic, and yes, if I step on it, it will likely break. I simply can’t imagine the circumstances where I would step on it. It does the job, worst case if you should manage to break it, you can simply use one of the two included keys to gain entry. Under normal usage I just can’t see it being an issue.
Does it meet my expectations, yes! Would I buy it again, yes!
We’ve only had it for a week or so, and so far so good. We bought it to house a change bank, and I must admit it’s a bit small ( it looks bigger in the picture). As far as functionality, it works well (one week old). It came with detailed instructions for use. As our business grows, I hope we’ll need a bigger one. It’s good for the money.
