Just what I needed for valuables. Great price and arrived quickly.

    – No battery included
    – Poor packaging + Weight = there’s almost no chance this will arrive without some sort of damage. Ours came with a long gouge down the side. Nothing that compromised the function but annoying nonetheless.
    – It’s cheap quality but inexpensive. Will only prevent the casual passerby from getting it but that’s all safes until you get to the $$$ kind.

I was looking for a safe that didn’t break the bank. This safe was the heaviest safe I could find at this price point. Once secured to the floor I felt much better. This is still a cheaper safe but puts me at ease storing valuables and a handgun. I also put my valuables in a fireproof case inside the case for more protection. The keypad is easy to use and the door handle is smooth. I like the shelf and the size of the safe. The backup key doesn’t seem to fit but that might be a user error. Would definitely recommend t when on sale.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI bought the safe after I returned a sentry safe that had a flimsy plastic handle and would not open so I returned it.
So I bought this one and I’m satisfied

Good, the price. Bad, is not heavy enough to stop brugers to carry it home. Handle is loose and feel cheap. The front keypad is super easy to get knockoff from the safe, need to be careful when shutting the door. Overall ok if you are on a budget.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI had a fire. This safe was right next to the source & hottest part. I stored important family documents in this safe. Thankfully, EVERYTHING inside was preserved!!!! OMG!! I was elated! So of course, I’m purchasing a replacement right now. Definitely more than worth the money!

The safe was packaged well setup was ease, it’s not fort knots but i wanted it for the fire protection.
The safe is 14Ga steel so it will take some time to break into it has 3 live and 2 dead bolts.
All in All for the money i made a good choose.

This is a good starter safe! If you are looking for something to store some personal affects. I recommend getting this safe. I’ve read reviews that talked about how cheap the handle is and how terrible the combination pad is. The handle is not top of the line, but it’s not a deal-breaker. It’s how you handle your products that will determine how long they will last. Don’t ding the product if you’re rough and careless. The safe comes with one shelf and a second one cannot be purchased. That is my only complaint.

I have this hidden behind a picture with hinges for access. It is embedded in the wall and is hidden perfectly. The safe is sturdy, functional and has a key for back-up in case the battery dies or you forget your code.

Overall a great buy and a cool installation.

It works, not fire proof but it is secure

I found the 1.24 safe satisfactory for my purposes and at a fair price for the limited security it provides. I would recommend this safe for the average house. Just make sure it is bolted down. I drilled a side hole in the safe and bolted it to the wall.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had earlier bought an Ozone Safe. It had been partly damaged while being delivered. But I could live with it as the dent was minor. Though OZONE itself is a good product I tried the AmazonBasics Fire Resistant Safe and it is also very good. The finish and ease of use is far better in the AmazonBasics Fire Resistant Safe. A good choice.

his is just the right size .. and very easy to use ,, love that it has a keyed entry for it to .. not just the key pad .. its bigger than what I was expecting .. seams very well made .. like in some of the reviews the door does have a little play in it .. I’m going to put some thin rubber weather striping around the door , and see if that will take out the play .. it came well packaged . no damage to it . so I’m happy about that .. I really do like that one shelve is adjustable.. I added the light on the in side .. its from the dollar tree .. works great in there ..

The product is as described. The factory preset code failed to open the safe using the keypad. I followed the instructions faithfully to reprogram a new code but failed in my multiple attempts. I called Amazon. They wanted to replace the entire heavy unit. I stated that I could still open and close the safe using the key. Not believing in waste, I offered to keep the safe and Amazon on their end offered a financial credit to offset the product flaw. A win-win situation.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe reinforced a shelf in our closet that was about waist high added an extra board for thickness and attached it with a carriage bolt with the washer on the inside of safe. Also, we added a motion activated light on the inside to be able to see. Hopefully it would make it harder for someone to carry it off. We couldn’t attach it to the floor as we are older and it would make it difficult for us to squat down to get entrance. Setting our own combo was easy…..the safe moves a little as we punch in the combo. There is plenty of room inside for what we need…..still planning on ordering the fireproof pouch for any cash we may have on hand and our passports and other documents. Our great grandson was here over the weekend and it gave us a sense of security to know our guns were locked up. It does make noise as you punch the buttons. so if you’re needing your gun for an intruder….the noise might not be beneficial for a surprise attack. The only thing is to remember to keep the handle in the open position as you retrieve whatever you’re wanting because if the handle goes back to the locked position, you have to re-enter your code to be able to shut and lock the safe….So far we are very pleased with this purchase……a word of advise….the safe is quit heavy and we removed the door to be able to lift it in place, secured it with the bold and then reattach the door..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve seen good and bad reviews on this safe, mine will be very positive.
It arrived (about 2 hours ago) extremely well packed and arrived with absolutely no knicks, dents or scratches. It arrived looking exactly as I would expect, show room quality!
It’s hefty, which I expected, but I am (at 67 years old, and haven’t seen the inside of a gym in many years), able to lift it and move it short distances with no real difficulty.
Followed directions, very detailed manual included, put in a battery, used the factory code to open. Continued to follow instructions (watch out when entering a code: to open, you end with the pound sign, when you are setting a new code, you end it with an asterisk) to set my own code, and everything went according to plan. Again, if instructions are followed everything should go quite smoothly.
One thing I like is you are not limited to a four digit code, you can set anything from 4-8 digits, I like that feature. I also like the adjustable shelf, if it had been fixed, I would have had problems getting my stuff to fit.
It was mentioned that the electronic box that you enter codes on is flimsy. Yes, it’s plastic, and yes, if I step on it, it will likely break. I simply can’t imagine the circumstances where I would step on it. It does the job, worst case if you should manage to break it, you can simply use one of the two included keys to gain entry. Under normal usage I just can’t see it being an issue.

Does it meet my expectations, yes! Would I buy it again, yes!

We’ve only had it for a week or so, and so far so good. We bought it to house a change bank, and I must admit it’s a bit small ( it looks bigger in the picture). As far as functionality, it works well (one week old). It came with detailed instructions for use. As our business grows, I hope we’ll need a bigger one. It’s good for the money.

Golden Review Award: 60 From Our UsersFor the price you can’t beat it. I put mine in the floor of my closet, and while you can get in by slamming it on the floor over and over, that it why they have a mounting bolt on the bottom… so you can’t do that! Once mounted to the floor it is actually very secure. The locking mechanism is very easy to set and simple to use, and works pretty quickly in case you need to get in there fast. I bought it mainly to get my guns/ammo away from the little ones while also keeping the rounds safe from potential fire, and let me tell you, this safe is BIG. I have two standard size pistols and several magazines and boxes of ammo in there, and still have quite a lot of room left unused. Am very satisfied with this product and would recommend.
