using this while we have a new kitchen put in – changing to an induction cooker in the new kitchen. Useful for travelling away too or for children at university.

Very economical to use. Idea for one pot cooking. Safety use around the children. I only dislike at the cord was a bit too short.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Usersduring building works, to cook I used this and IKEA’s single induction hob which costs the same. This is far better. The temperature is very reliable, it has a wide range of temperatures and it accepts all pans while IKEA’s one didn’t like some which are induction friendly. It doesn’t take much space. The fan is a bit noisy.

I used the traditional electric cooker before took long time to get hot, after I changed this electric cooker, it very quick to get hot, and save a lots of my time, specially morning time easy to make quick breakfast, and this have very low noise, very good quality, and highly recommended.

I like to use this induction cooker, which comes in a sturdy package with foam inside to protect it from damage in transit. It can be adjusted to 2000w maximum. It can be used for hot pot cooking noodles. It heats up very quickly, fried eggs and meat, cooks very quickly, it’s very easy to use, the induction cooker doesn’t automatically power off when it overheats, you have to turn it off manually, but you can adjust the time you want to cook, there’s a lock option. You don’t need to worry about your kid accidentally hitting a switch. Easy to clean, touch button, fast heat dissipation, recommended.

Great product at great price my first experience with an induction hob. First quick delivery and well packaged. I tried a test It only takes 3 minutes to boil cold water on the induction. it’s very fast and powerful, you can cook quickly and different temperature to choose from, and simple clean the noise is still acceptable.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ve been using this gadget for a few months now, so I feel the time is right to give my considered opinion on it.

I bought this portable induction hob to use in place of the portable gas stove I bought last year. Through research, I found that this induction hob is allegedly more economical than the gas hob that I had been paying a couple of quid a go for gas canisters that only last about two or three days.

While I agree that it seems to be more economical, this induction hob has an irritating ‘bite yer on the bum’ habit, in that it cannot be turned off at the wall socket until the internal fan has stopped whirring – and that can be several minutes of unnecessary electricty use that I am paying for. According to the accompanying rule book, if the induction hob is turned off at the wall before the fan has finished its rotating, the whole hob can be damaged. That may not seem to be too much to write home about but, it does rather negate the economical aspect of this item a bit when faced with the problem after every time you’ve boiled a kettle. Or fried an egg. At current (oh, a pun!) electricity kwh prices, that ‘couple of minutes’ override wait for the fan to stop each time soon mounts up.

Having said that, I am still thinking that this portable induction hob is a brilliant purchase. Okay, so I had to buy some induction-compatible pots and pans but, our old pots and pans were getting near to their final days anyway. The billy bonus here is that our whistling kettle that I’d bought to use on the portable gas hob is already induction-compatible, so a little win there.

It is quite amazing how much quicker this induction hob is to cook things on. When I first used it, I was nearly caught out by how fast the porridge threatened to boil over that first morning, compared to preparing it on our installed gas cooker or the portable gas stove. And that cooking speed is not just limited to porridge; boiling the veg on it to go with the Sunday roast (the latter brilliantly done in the CleverChef) also takes a fraction of the time now.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely. But, with one caveat. If we had the room in our tiny kitchen I would have bought the double hob version, if only to perfect my ‘plate juggling’ cooking skills forced on me by the speed an induction hob now brings. The induction hob now sits proudly amongst our CleverChef, microwave oven and single-drawer air fryer. As I am the head chef in our house due to my wife’s disability, and there’s only the two of us, we now have an excellent set of cooking products that keep our energy bills quite stable and affordable. And that’s all we want.

Amazed how quick it takes to boil and cook. Took some time to familiarise myself using this induction hob, but it is far more economic than my electric cookers hob and oven, which has been retired to a prep and storage area.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat product at great price but be warned it is very noisy with it’s inbuilt cooling fan which sounds like it’s running to within an inch of it’s life. Does the job though and works very well.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersLove the fast heat up (never used an induction hob before), easy cleaning and the fact that you can set the temperature and walk away confident that it won’t burn. Minor annoyance that the buttons aren’t illuminated so I have difficulty reading them where the hob sits. Main problem for me as a gas hob lover is the 20 C steps in the heat settings, far too wide, should be 5-max 10 C and the fact that the heating cycle is pulsed. When preparing stock for Chinese soups you need a low simmer, 80C is too low and 100C is far too fierce on the pulse part of the cycle. It’s not too bad at 80C if you put a lid on the pot but if you’re trying to reduce the liquid as well having a lid on stops that from happening.
