If you’re a console or pc player that cannot have 144fps all the time this is the monitor to choose

Product is great, very fast response time, clean look, colours when plugged into my series x are excellent. All the minor settings are easily adjusted and there is a jack on the monitor to add your own speakers. I would highly recommend the monitor if your not looking for anything higher that 75hz.

I brought this as a dual monitor for my iMac 24″ M1 desktop (which is utterly fabulous in every way). This work so well as a dual monitor, I can look at it for much longer than I can the M1 screen. It is not quite as crisp as the Apple monitor but nearly. But as I say it is easier to look at. I am an Amateur Photographer and video maker, and I have no complaints about this monitor, except for an insignificant gripe, I couldn’t find one with a white frame to match my iMac.

When I get a bit more spence I’m eventually going to buy more of these monitors as it’s the best and cheapest in the market currently, I’d say great for duel monitors. Great colours, response time. Has an eye care feature to reduce blue light on long gaming sessions.

No light bleeding on my monitor, all round solid gaming monitor!

There’s nothing to dislike about this monitor perfectly priced and everything it says it does is 100%.

I would highly recommend specially if you game and want perfectly good quality graphics!

Would buy again if I was to consider streaming

I use the monitor more than 8 hours a day and everyday. I have to say I was skeptical about this blue light technology thing but it does work. My eyes don’t feel strained like with my previous monitor. Apart from using it for work, I use it to play MOBA games which is a lot of going on and colours. My concern was not a very high refresh rate because gaming monitors have like 144 or even in 200s. But this was completely fine. I play Smite and Legaue of Legends. Also the monitor automatically adjust its lightning depending how bright or dark your room is. Kinda cool.

I use this monitor for my PS4 and it’s been great so far. Couldn’t be happier. Great picture, love that it has a 3.5mm audio input. The smart brightness function is a good shout. Love it!

initially sceptical to get a tn panel, as i have a good ips LG monitor, but wanted something for gaming, this screen is excellent for gaming and it is very responsive. Looks good too, sharp and clear pictures/ nice colours, very happy. For the price, its well worth it. The main reason i went for a benq was for the eye care, it makes a HUGE difference.
Only weird thing that happened was that i had to read the amazon delivery man a 6 digit code to receive the goods, not great really since its covid time… the delivery guy had his mask down too!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was a bit hesitant to go for this monitor mainly because the price was so reasonable. After trying this with my ps4 I cannot believe the difference in quality going from a TV to this. The frame rate is superb and completely enhances the gaming experience. The colours are great and the image quality is great. Really happy with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’m a programmer and a gamer, I spend 13-14 hours a day on my computer.
    – The screen brightness can go very low and also very high, making it easy to read thoughout the day no matter the lighting conditions.
    – Also 75hz is a nice bump from 60hz, not very noticable but you can feel the difference. Drivers were very easy to install through the company’s website (they are nessesary for 75hz use).
    – Stand is quite nice and heavy, although I will probably be getting a vesa mount for it.
    – Great screen for reading, programming, gaming, and watching movies.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this monitor with my money from Christmas, planning to finally ditch my TV which I used as my second monitor, and use this one instead. I really like this monitor. It has nice colours and it’s 75hz which is nice too. I will probably end up buying another one sometime this year as my third monitor whenever I move house.

The first picture is a picture of the monitor and the second picture is my first and second monitor together. It looks so much nicer than what my setup looked like with my TV.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFirst impressions of this monitor was I preferred my old screen. Anyway, the biggest problem was the black backgrounds appeared very brightly washed out almost grey. This bugged me until I discovered that amending the settings with the NVIDIA Control Panel app as shown on either of the 2 images. This was a 100% fix to a common problem of settings where people easily blame the monitor as culprit whereas it is a setting issue on the PC. You can set it to one of those two settings as preferred.

One negative would be that when viewing the screen looking off to the sides it has a yellowish tint or with the Eye-Care on I get a bluish tint. I sort of got used to this now it doesn’t bother me the same as it did at the start.

Overall I would recommend this monitor – used for a mix of gaming, personal browsing, watching movies and also plugged into my Laptop too for Working From Home office duties.

    When Calibrated Works Grea

Moving to a permanent work from home setup required me to get an extra monitor to increase my productivity and this monitor worked at the right price point.

I bought this monitor at the same time as I bought the ‘BONTEC Dual Monitor Stand’ and it fit perfectly onto the mounting bracket.

I’m a developer / architect so I don’t use this as a gaming monitor, however for developing and other office productivity apps, this monitor is perfect.

Bought for my son for Christmas. He was initially concerned that it wouldn’t be high speed enough for his gaming but revised his opinion once he plugged it in. Only issue is, as others have mentioned, a broken pixel, which does seem to affect things.

I love everything aobut this monitor but keep in mind that brightness isn’t manually adjustable and although might be ok for many people “being eye care and all”, I’m used to another level of darkness so I had to buy a blue light filter glasses and ended up returning it to the seller cuz no matter what I do, brightness was just too much for my eyes. 5 stars as long as the seller accepts my return “already paid 15 pound for the delivery!”

I purchased this monitor as I wanted a proper screen to use when working from home rather than relying on my laptop screen. I only use the typical MS applications and this is perfect for that use. The resolution is great and the features to prevent eye strain have really helped me as I can spend several hours at a time reading and reviewing contracts.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersDoesn’t come with a CD any more. The Quick Start is just pictures of how to assemble the stand. Out of the box on Windows 10 it WON’T run at 75Hz, and Windows just gives it a generic driver. You have to go to US website to find and download the driver (GL2480_75Hz Support_0_Windows.zip) unzip and run it. (While you are there download the manual too). It wouldn’t have hurt Benq to tell you this, would it?
However once set up it is a lovely monitor for the price, very easy to adjust, and the ‘eye care’ is great. Replaces an older Benq I had which just died on me after 11 years faithful service. If this one lasts as long I’ll be well pleased

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersGreat monitor purchased to help with chronic migraine. It automatically adjusts to the light in the room, and reduces blue light at the same time, which helps with light sensitive conditions. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I will say this monitor was an instant relief in terms of light glare. For the money, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again and it has a lot of functions that I haven’t even looked at yet.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI got this for work long from home with Covid-19 and has served me very well. I also hook it up to my old gaming PC sometimes, as I have more free time now, and everything seems to be working fine … apart from the sound which doesn’t work at all. Luckily I always use headphones so isnt a big issue for me.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersThis is the best monitor I have found for extended screen use.

The only glitch is that there was little guidance setting up. The leaflets included provided no detail beyond assembly and switching it on. The CD provided cannot be inserted into my laptops/macbooks so maybe there is an app on there that I am missing.

First impressions was a well made screen and very bright clear image, but that is not what you are paying for. After a few days of strong light my eyes began to irritate and I was very disappointed. I searched the web and discovered the eye-care features are not enabled by default!

After fumbling around in the monitor’s menus, enabling automatic features, and reduce my exposure of shortest wavelengths things were different. The sensor on the front of the monitor was then activated. It continually detects changes in ambient light and adjusts the screen colour to reduce the amount of blue light to the minimum requires while still producing clear blue in images. When the colour automatically adjusts the monitor displays a brief alert showing amount of blue light required to achieve this. There might be an option to hide the alert, but the important thing is that my eyes now feel better!

I am unsure how modified colour balance would work for graphic designers, but it is not detectable when gaming or during office work. I do see a difference in colour when it is used next to a standard monitor, but not when using the Benq alone.

Some reviewers complain that this monitor cannot fill the colour triangle, particular in the blue spectrum, but that is selling point! Search for the Benq Eye-Care webpage to learn more.

Golden Review Award: 53 From Our UsersI wanted a faster-than-60 Hz monitor for smoother gaming but all the 144 Hz monitors in my budget have AWFUL colour and AWFUL contrast. I decided to try a 75 Hz (25% more frames than 60, eh?) and went for a Benq because my current monitor is a Benq that I was able to calibrate to a very high accuracy.

(My experience includes calibration with a colourimeter, but some settings can be eyeballed with apporpriate test patterns available online.)
    +Fantastic value for money.
+Decent contrast ratio – would probably get the quoted 1000:1 with the right settings.
    +White point got within 20K of 6500.
+Gamma and greyscale ended up at reference levels – less than 1 dE thoughout the whole range.
    +Overclocks to 77 Hz (2 Hz is 2Hz, and it’s free).
+Respectable pixel response/low smearing with HIGH overdrive setting.

-Very disappointing gamut – it can’t reach all the way to any corner of the sRGB triangle, leaving full-stimulus colours under-saturated (best I was able to get was 91% sRGB – blues are noticeably purplish)
-75 Hz only available on the HDMI, for some reason.
-If I put the contrast at 50 or higher there was a HUGE change in white balance and a HUGE off-axis colour shift – it’s literally 49 = OK but 50 = too much.

I wouldn’t call this a “gaming monitor”, but it’s a cheap monitor that lends itself to gaming – the difference between 60 Hz and 75 Hz is definitely noticeable. Do I prefer it to a “true” gaming monitor? At this price, absolutely – I care more about colour reproduction than frames, and I could spend twice as much as this and still not match the GL2480’s picture.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersScreen is pretty good quality for the price with decent colour and brightness and is quick and easy to setup. My only gripe is that there was only a VGA cable in the box where most ship with an HDMI cable. It’s 2020 after all!
