Easy to use cordless jigsaw. Doesn’t come with a battery but uses the Bosch rechargeable battery system used by all Bosch tools. Easy to fit and remove blades, no fiddly Allen key to worry about. Light weight go use and cuts well

I bought this to replace my ageing 30 year old corded Bosch jigsaw. So glad I did as the tech has moved on and this is so easy to use, it cuts faster than my old one and its battery powered so no trailing cable to cut through. Very pleased.

Very easy to put on and change the blade. It works well. Unfortunately it comes in a box, I knew that before buying it, but didn’t imagine how much I’ll miss a plastic box to store it along with the other products. Cuts much faster than I thought a 50x50mm wood. It does not have a built-in light or plastic protectors in front of the blade. Nor does it include the clean cut accessory that the 100mm edition does bring, nor the adapter for the vacuum cleaner. If I had notice this beforehand, I would have bought the other one, but this one does what it should and the price was better. Happy with the purchase. It’s very fast.

This is another nice product from Bosch and presented in the familiar Green Plastic Carrying Case.
So much better than my old one purchased in the 1970’s. The Bosch is easier to use with low vibration and pleasant handling which is a familiar thing with Bosch tools. Quick change of blade is a useful factor and a Corded Machine for instant use. I am confident that this will suit my current and future DIY projects.
I own several other Bosch tools so I might be counted as a Fan of the Brand.

Got it for my mum as she loves her DIY, she was happy, but I think she would have been happier if there was an additional space blade attachment.

I bought this to replace my old jigsaw.

I don’t do much diy, but I do need a jigsaw from time to time and this fits the bill. It’s easy to set up and use although I did buy the splinter guard and guide accessories in addition. I also bought some additional blades.

The speed control is very good allowing a slow start, increasing speed as you get comfortable with the job.

I’m satisfied that this item will do what I need it to. The case is durable and handy for keeping the saw, the extra blades and a couple of other small bits and pieces.

If I was using the saw regularly I’d probably have chosen a cordless version, but the corded one is fine for my purposes.

This is the 2nd jigsaw I’ve bought, it was exactly the model I bought in September 2019 (so, sadly, out of warranty). On the old machine, the mechanism that keeps the blade in place has broken so it isn’t possible to use the machine any more. TBH, it’s had quite a bit of use over the time I’ve had it, so I’m happy to replace it with a new one, especially when the broken part was going to cost 30 and the new saw was “only” 30 more…..That all explains the headline!

I have a couple of Bosch tools that share the same battery (I have two of those as well) and like the machine. It cuts well, has a light on it, has a good guide on the baseplate. It does what I need which is pretty basic DIY. Battery life is OK, but I’m not sure I’d want to rely on it to last a whole day in constant use.

It’s a shame it doesn’t come in a nice plastic case though. I’ll see if it lasts beyond the warranty period again….

Had the Bosch cordless drill with 2 batteries so after the plumber let me down when I needed a sink moving decided to go for this to replace corded one I seem to have mislaid while moving house. Delighted with it, sailed through the worktop better than I expected being cordless. Loving having a cordless one now, so much easier. I’m just a hobby diyer because I have to but this will help me do more myself and work out cheaper in the long run. Plan on making some window shutters next.

I actually got this in July 2022 when it was “on special”. A week ago I had a small woodworking job I thought this tool would be ideal for. Unpacked it, all looked great until I looked for the blade, there wasn’t one! So I guess that was the “reduction”, no blades!!! Anyway, used the handsaw & put a memo on the phone to get some blades.

This unit does the job-but note it doesn’t come with a case which you have to buy separately.

All perfect what else can I say. Can’t wait till Amazon mess up an order, lol. So far no faults and 2 be honest I’m not expecting any. Place an order, check ur order , then watch it travel to ur door, item dispatched, item collected, item out for delivery, and item delivery time and date, just listen for the door bell. DONE.

Generally quite good. Does the job.
      To improve:
      1. User’s guide; for some additional bits I found in the box I have no clue how to use. Neither the
included booklet nor an online manual helped.
      2. The red blade storage doesn’t stay in place while operating the tool; would be good if it did.

A great saw, put straight to use after opening the case. Fortunately, I had also bought some Bosch blades, because my unit did to come with a blade ass advertised. Hence four stars. Still, very easy to use, a great little machine.

I really get on well with Bosch power tools and this is no exception – as you’d expect it makes cutting wood etc effortless – it’s low vibration and it’s really accurate. I particularly like the little perspec cutting guide flap that points out the front.

My only 2 little moans about it are there’s no form of deadman’s switch – as soon as you press the trigger it starts (as you’d expect I guess) – but it’s very hard to pick it up without accidentally pressing the trigger this is a bit dangerous – I’d prefer something like you have on lawn mowers where you have to press a button and then the trigger
Secondly the box it comes in is a lot more flimsy than the Bosch drill box – and arrived with one corner smashed. It’s not worth sending back over but it’s a bit annoying since I specifically want it in a box (oddly some of Bosch’s product don’t have a nice plastic box).

      Def recommend

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve only used the Bosch 06033A0170 PST 800 PEL Jigsaw for sawing 12mm MDF board, but unlike my old jigsaw it is easy to cut in a straight line and at a 90 degree angle to the top of the board. The guide that fits on the front of the saw makes it easy to follow a line, until you get to the end, that is, when the guide goes off the end of the board and the line becomes difficult to see (the last 1-2cm). It’s really just just a question of getting used to the process and making sure that your body is in the right place I’m sure, but I took a point off the ease of use as I wandered a little once at the end of a cut.

Another reviewer stated that no blades were included. There was a single blade included, though I am glad that I ordered “Bosch 2608633779 Clean Wood Jigsaw Blade, 1 Lug, Silver, Pack of 3” at the same time as I think that the bigger teeth on the blade that came with the saw would have given a rougher cut on the mdf board I used.

In the description of the saw it says that a lithium ion battery is required but not included. It’s not stated in the saws details what type of lithium battery would be needed and I could not find any mention of the battery in the instructions or see where a battery could be fitted, so I think that the details on the screen must be wrong and consequently only scored the accuracy a 4.

All in all I’m pretty pleased with the saw.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought a “Power for All” Bosch drill with x2 batteries and a wall charger in the Black Friday deal last year. I soon discovered how useful it would be to have a mouse sander and jigsaw that was also cordless as I have an allotment.

This is really handy. Interchangeable batteries, nice ergonomic design, even for small hands, easy to install blades.
I kept this item on a wish list and waited for a price drop – it dropped by nearly 15 and I snapped it up. Really glad I did.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe Bosch PST 700 E arrived on time despite Amazon suggesting it might not. It comes in a handy green box that should protect the tool over time.

In the box you get the jigsaw itself, plus one blade (fast cut for wood) and a user manual. There’s space in the box for more blades that you have to purchase separately.

The tool fits both T shank and universal fitment blades, according to the manual, but of course if you buy Bosch or “Bosch compatible” then you should be okay.

Fitting the blade in is simple, although I found it slightly odd that in lifting the red movable mechanism, with the blade in place it didn’t return all the way down. I tried it with a few different blades that I had and the same thing, but in use it holds it fine and no blade has ever fallen out.

A word of caution before making your first cut: make sure the foot plate is centered and tight. Mine wasn’t and that would have resulted in a non-straight cut if you follow the marker arrow and don’t look at the blade that follows it.

I personally chose a corded jigsaw over a cordless one, because I considered that it won’t be in regular use and having a battery out of use for any extended periods of time is not good for its longevity. So, a cord was a requirement of mine. I think Bosch have been a bit stingy though and could have provided a longer power cable as this would avoid the need for extension cables in many scenarios.

The tool itself is simple to operate with the trigger being pressure sensitive so you don’t have to use it at maximum speed all the time. There’s a lock that holds it at maximum speed though, but not at slower speeds. The only other feature is the air blower, which I personally find useful. There is a vacuum attachment on the back of the tool, but despite owning a standard ‘outdoor builder’ type Nilfisk vacuum cleaner, it does not fit and so has so far proven useless to me.

I’ve not tried the footplate angle cutting yet, but have no reason to believe it won’t work. I would say that it would be better if it had two screws holding it in, rather than the single screw. Notches and indents aim to make sure the foot plate is aligned though, but as mentioned, out the box mine wasn’t.

All in all, for my light use so far, it’s a nice lightweight tool that’s easy to use. I like that it isn’t complicated and isn’t covered in buttons or settings or adjustable pendulum action, unlike other brands that — I think — overcomplicate matters. That said, is it worth twice the price of a generic branded jigsaw? Probably not, but I’d like to think that being a Bosch tool its quality and therefore longevity is superior.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersReally impressed with this. I had my doubts about it’s power running on batteries but it’s performed exceptionally well in all tasks I’ve put it to.
It’s really freeing to be able to just pick it up and use instead of having to get the extension cable out into the garden, saves so much time!

I also have the Combi drill and mouse Sander in the power all range and I only have two 1.5Ah batteries, all the tools last most of the day under regular use. I’d say the Jigsaw out of the three tools uses the battery up quickest. The way around that is to pop the tool in the charger between uses of you plan on a long job – I love that greater of the batteries and charger… You don’t even have to take the battery off the tool to charge it!!

I’m sure I’ll purchase more Bosch power all tools in the range, I have my eyes on the circular saw next…

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI was torn between going to the cheaper cabled jigsaw of this, and after much deliberation, I choose the cordless. I already have batteries and chargers for other Bosh 18 v LiIon tools which helped sway the decision, and coupled with an experience at a DIY shop (they wouldn’t cut the wood with their industrial machine with dust extraction – apparently its dangerous to their health because it was treated wood, but its ok for me to cut it in the car park without extraction!).

Pros – Lightweight, Powerful, Uses 18v LiIon battery, SDS for quick blade change, Light, can cut a decent length on a single charge (I measured and made approx 25 metres of cuts before needing to recharge)

Cons – doesn’t come with a plastic carry case (which is included if you buy the setup with the charger and battery)
