Well packaged for delivery and arrived in good time.
The sander is well made and feels solid during use. Straight forward to set up with clear instructions and parts all included in the box. The work tables at each sanding point are adjustable. Although the angle setting gauge is tricky to see when adjusting but works well and the screw clamp holds well too.
Very quiet during use and works well. On/off buttons are easy to use.
Belt sander is easily adjusted for movement.
Impressed with the Sander so far and it’s very well priced.
I’m a novice woodworker who does all their work in a little shed during the summer. I’ve used sanders of many different kinds but could never muster the willpower nor the hefty price to go all in with a fixed-position belt sander. This sander, fortunately, offers the solution for newcomers and even veterans who have limited space. At an affordable price, the belt sander remains extremely compact yet well-equipped with its belt and disc sanding features.
Little did I know I could get a workshop power tool so compact! The machine came with full instructions to set up. Fortunately, it proves nothing complicated, with simple three-step instructions to set up the belt and disc sanding platforms. A supporting leg and handle also get fitted to prop up what is a standing, multi-functioning sanding table. The machine has no fancy or complicated features, just a straightforward on and off button (both sanding belts turn on – there is no ability to run just one).
This sander appears to be the perfect fit for my woodworking needs. I can pick up the machine with one hand and use it on my workbench without taking up all the space. The bottom has rubber feet which help it scratch-free and sturdy when using. In all, I’m excited to get started with some woodworking projects this summer and put this machine into use. It’s tidy, compact and multi-functional, all at a decent price. It’s a great welcome for learning woodworkers like myself or hobby crafters to have around without taking up excess space.
This is great for smaller projects. It’s pretty easy to setup and once done you have then you can use the metre gauge to find the right angle to use. Then it’s straight forward sanding. It spins fast but not too fast, hence why I feel it would be better for smaller projects.
The quality is solid so for the price I think it’s very good for the right person. I’m happy with i
I picked this up with a specific product in mind to convert our day van into a camper and wanted to focus on the details with the idea of continually adapting furniture and decorations to suit. This tool comes neatly packaged with everything to get started and it’s easy to set up.
Having a belt sander makes a massive difference and has improved the finishing touches immensely. The disk sander is quite small so does wear out a little quicker than larger ones I have used in the past, but for the size of this unit I can get perfect corners without using up all the space in the workshop.
The guides are easy to use and despite only being 130 I feel safe using it which is the biggest bonus, it’s great value for money in my opinion.
This is better than any sander I’ve had in the past where sanding sheets were apt to wander and slight pressure would cause them to stop. The downside is, I was not made aware I would have to purchase independently a plug adapter for use in this country.
I received a faulty machine and contacted the seller to explained the issue , they sent me a new replacement and it worked like a charm , superb customer care and this bench belt sander is amazing, very well built , powerful I will defenetly recommend this product to anyone who does woodwork a good add on to a work shop.
Best on the market in price range. Nothing comes close
What can I say arrived 2 days early awesome bit of kit. Great power easy to use quiet and changed belt no problem love i
The sander arrived on time but was damaged. The dust extract port on the belt sander side was badly broken. I didn’t return or complain because it wasn’t really required for my application which is metal working.
The machine itself is powerful and extremely good for material removal. The only downside is the tables…. they are incredibly weak and if you apply to much pressure to the belt with the work piece, they flex and distort and an oscillation is created in the table. I was well aware of this from previous reviews and watching videos.
Even though the tables are weak and the damage to the machine, I am thoroughly happy with the machine. It is far superior to similar machines on the market and is very capable. I will make new tables from steel and disregard the cast aluminium ones.
Bucktools could have a major contender if they resolve the table issue! With regard to the broken dust extract, it wasn’t worth the hassle requesting a replacement. All in all, I would recommend this machine even though it does have a weak point.
Very good machine when bolted down really smooth operation and good dust extraction, made a mobile trolley for it and at a height for use sitting down.
However there is a problem when tracking the belt – it has to be caught quickly otherwise the belt cuts through the metal under shield/guard support slot tags, not a big problem just made two brackets which fit with the existing support screw/bolts and holds the the shield/guard from flapping around as the other side slot tags not damaged and remain held by the other two screw/bolts.
Noted someone mentioned using gloves, a big no no as the glove if caught can drag the finger/hand in and cause serious skin loss called de-gloveing usually often leaving crippling injury.
I would buy this machine again, very pleased, four stars because of the shield/guard problem.
Bought this to replace my old belt driven sander and its massively better. When running its quiet compared to the old one,has loads of power and is simple to use and set up. The only slight down side is that the dust ports don’t fit my dust vac and the one from the belt is angled downwards making it a little difficult to connect dust extraction. I managed to overcome this by mounting the sander on blocks to raise it up and have used a plastic pipe connector to adapt the dust outlet to the dust vac. Would definitely recommend.
Easy yo use and we’ll built , seems very solid. It’s very powerful, more power than most sanders.
Arrived on time. Easy to set up and works well. I would recommend this bench sander.
Solidly constructed and easy to use. Not terribly noisy. Very powerful. Note, the sanding discs are adhesive not lock loop/velcro type . Should last a long time.
This is a bench beast. Very powerful for the size. The disc and belt grinder have extraction ports so you can hook up your shop vac. Easy to set up. If you are setting it up permanetly I would bolt it to your workbench.
his machine is very fast at sanding wood at over 9metres per second
versatile having belt and disc sander can be used on wide variety of projects
This bench sander is supplied in a large and heavy branded brown box which contains; the unit itself with fitted belt and disk, a mitre gauge, two cast aluminium worktables for the disk and belt, two locking knobs, two dust adapters for the disk and belt outlets, and instructions. After a simple assembly the unit was plugged in and ready to go. There is a more expensive version with an 8-inch disk which looks identical apart from that on a different listing.
The sander feels sturdy and well made, operating smoothly and powerfully without too much noise. The direct drive keeps the maintenance down and helps it work efficiently. The foot post that supports the belt seems a bit flimsy and while it does add support when the belt is flat, I would prefer a more robust solution. I found the belt far more useful than the disk, but it is useful to have both on the same tool. The worktables are useful but need to be carefully tightened for correct alignment and you can use the belts without them.
This is a bulky device that really needs to be permanently fixed to a workbench although the feet could be more robust to allow it to be bolted down more firmly. It is not cheap, but it is a good compromise between budget offerings which are less powerful and professional options costing hundreds of pounds.
This is a 500W 2-in-1 6″ disc sander and a 4″ wide bench sander. It weights a hefty 14kg.
Things I liked:
– a big “stop” button (for safety)
– powerful direct drive motor (which gives more efficient torque)
– dust ports for both disc and belt sanders (keep debris deposit vacuumed up in a manageable place)
– great build quality (cast aluminium base)
– good control for angle adjustment on project work
Tip:
– this applies for any woodwork project, but make sure to wear eye protection and gloves (where possible)
Overall, this a great DIY project work toolset. It gives my woodwork project a much better finish and done five times quicker. Amazing!!!
