This is better than any sander I’ve had in the past where sanding sheets were apt to wander and slight pressure would cause them to stop. The downside is, I was not made aware I would have to purchase independently a plug adapter for use in this country.

The sander arrived on time but was damaged. The dust extract port on the belt sander side was badly broken. I didn’t return or complain because it wasn’t really required for my application which is metal working.
The machine itself is powerful and extremely good for material removal. The only downside is the tables…. they are incredibly weak and if you apply to much pressure to the belt with the work piece, they flex and distort and an oscillation is created in the table. I was well aware of this from previous reviews and watching videos.
Even though the tables are weak and the damage to the machine, I am thoroughly happy with the machine. It is far superior to similar machines on the market and is very capable. I will make new tables from steel and disregard the cast aluminium ones.
Bucktools could have a major contender if they resolve the table issue! With regard to the broken dust extract, it wasn’t worth the hassle requesting a replacement. All in all, I would recommend this machine even though it does have a weak point.

Very good machine when bolted down really smooth operation and good dust extraction, made a mobile trolley for it and at a height for use sitting down.
However there is a problem when tracking the belt – it has to be caught quickly otherwise the belt cuts through the metal under shield/guard support slot tags, not a big problem just made two brackets which fit with the existing support screw/bolts and holds the the shield/guard from flapping around as the other side slot tags not damaged and remain held by the other two screw/bolts.
Noted someone mentioned using gloves, a big no no as the glove if caught can drag the finger/hand in and cause serious skin loss called de-gloveing usually often leaving crippling injury.
I would buy this machine again, very pleased, four stars because of the shield/guard problem.

Bought this to replace my old belt driven sander and its massively better. When running its quiet compared to the old one,has loads of power and is simple to use and set up. The only slight down side is that the dust ports don’t fit my dust vac and the one from the belt is angled downwards making it a little difficult to connect dust extraction. I managed to overcome this by mounting the sander on blocks to raise it up and have used a plastic pipe connector to adapt the dust outlet to the dust vac. Would definitely recommend.

Solidly constructed and easy to use. Not terribly noisy. Very powerful. Note, the sanding discs are adhesive not lock loop/velcro type . Should last a long time.

This is a bench beast. Very powerful for the size. The disc and belt grinder have extraction ports so you can hook up your shop vac. Easy to set up. If you are setting it up permanetly I would bolt it to your workbench.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis bench sander is supplied in a large and heavy branded brown box which contains; the unit itself with fitted belt and disk, a mitre gauge, two cast aluminium worktables for the disk and belt, two locking knobs, two dust adapters for the disk and belt outlets, and instructions. After a simple assembly the unit was plugged in and ready to go. There is a more expensive version with an 8-inch disk which looks identical apart from that on a different listing.

The sander feels sturdy and well made, operating smoothly and powerfully without too much noise. The direct drive keeps the maintenance down and helps it work efficiently. The foot post that supports the belt seems a bit flimsy and while it does add support when the belt is flat, I would prefer a more robust solution. I found the belt far more useful than the disk, but it is useful to have both on the same tool. The worktables are useful but need to be carefully tightened for correct alignment and you can use the belts without them.

This is a bulky device that really needs to be permanently fixed to a workbench although the feet could be more robust to allow it to be bolted down more firmly. It is not cheap, but it is a good compromise between budget offerings which are less powerful and professional options costing hundreds of pounds.

    This is a 500W 2-in-1 6″ disc sander and a 4″ wide bench sander. It weights a hefty 14kg.

    Things I liked:
    – a big “stop” button (for safety)
    – powerful direct drive motor (which gives more efficient torque)
    – dust ports for both disc and belt sanders (keep debris deposit vacuumed up in a manageable place)
    – great build quality (cast aluminium base)
    – good control for angle adjustment on project work

    Tip:
    – this applies for any woodwork project, but make sure to wear eye protection and gloves (where possible)

Overall, this a great DIY project work toolset. It gives my woodwork project a much better finish and done five times quicker. Amazing!!!

    A sander machinery… what a beast!
