I like the stainless steel finish. The grill is a bonus. Easy to clean, looks good and works well.

Full stainless steel microwave with grill function, really simple to use and clean but best of all in my opinion is no clock for distraction.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSimple to use, spacious, easy to clean. Wanted a stainless steel interior with the hope it will last a long time as there’s no paint to wear away. This microwave ticks all the boxes for me. Pleased with my purchase. Very quick delivery too .

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI’ve only been using the microwave for a month, so far it has not disappointed. It’s easy to use and clean. The inside is made of stainless steal which is why I bought it. All my other microwaves rusted once the enamel inside wore off after repeated use. The microwave is a bit expensive in comparison with other microwaves on the market but it’s worth investing in a microwave like this because it will be longer lasting

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersStainless steel inside and outside. Love this little microwave – its a step back to the 80’s. Totally controllable despite lack of virtually any features. A complete idiot could operate it blindfolded. Power and time is all it offers – strictly speaking just power as time is accurate to +/- a minute and if you want to know the actual time then you’ll need to get a watch – or some other appliance

This replaced a much cheaper Samsung unit which at 20 years old had got rusty and smelt of fish. It is clean and stainless inside and best of all doesn’t need a programmer to know how to use it. I don’t think we’ll ever use the grill but maybe one day we’ll find out why it has that feature.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis item is for my Airbnb. It’s easy to use looks very clean and streamlined as it’s just all in stainless steel. The Chefs I know use this brand so thought if it’s good enough for them it will be fine. Just got fed up of throwing away perfectly working microwaves due to the insides going rusty. Terrible for the planet too. This should look good a lot longer. Really thought the price was a bargai

I bought this microwave to replace an ancient Panasonic one, choosing this particular model because it has stainless steel interior as well as exterior. My old microwave had a complicated keypad control panel with various presets and options whereas this Caterlite one is dial operated with power settings and a timer. There is no delay start or visual countdown but I’ve quickly got used to that. You can’t set it for less than a minute but you can just take the food out after 20 or 30 seconds. There’s an interior light and a grill function too. I’m very pleased with the microwave. Its compact and sits happily on my countertop not taking up too much space. I bought a silicon matt to put under the microwave to stop it moving when the door is opened and this works well. A good basic microwave perfect for my needs.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMarvellous value too. Elsewhere it retails at nearly 200 but it bounces around 130 mark on Amazon. There is nothing not to like about this microwave with grill especially at the price. I got it a couple of days ago since which time I have reheated coffee, soup, a steak pie and mushy peas, toasted some cheese on toast. It is very versatile but very simple. A little experimentation generally leads to medium high and/or one of the three combination options. It is powerful and very controllable. It looks good, it’s built solid and heavy, it is very easy to see the food inside the oven through the door. It is fairly compact but gets in a normal large size dining plate. The only tiny quibble is that the dials could be a little bit more substantial. But generally I am more than pleased with this combination microwave. It is great to have something that values function as well as form and at such a brilliant price. It is made in China but what isn’t?

Solidly made, easy to use and keep clean. The combination microwave/grill settings can be very useful (with practice). Have used it successfully for crispy jacket potatoes, fish fingers, sausages. Feels like it could work for a bit longer than the cheapo versions i’ve had previously!

Good, simple all stainless steel microwave. Quite powerful too. Lights up well inside so you can see what’s going on.
Very simple to operate. One ‘ting’ when it’s done -not repetitive beeping. Good range of power options.
Easy to pause cooking by opening door and reclosing as timer does not cancel out when you do this.
-so you do need to manually cancel if if you finish early-
-Worth perhaps keeping a brief list of settings that work for your own particular cooking. Obviously the top does get hot when using the grill.
    Overall very pleased so far.

    Could do better (minor niggles):
Control knobs feel cheap. If you have a weak grip the timer one may be hard to grasp and twist. ( Add a wide bulldog clip or similar. )
The labelling around them is too small and indistinct, especially the mixed grill settings and you have to keep referring back to the wonderfully simple instructions. The door handle is disappointingly plastic. It is quite noisy in operation. Rattles at times.
Would I recommend it. Yes so far, if you want a simple life.. It just does what it says on the tin. Great!

Easy to use & clean & looks good. However I purchased mine in June 2020 & unfortunately a glass plate section snapped off cleanly. Still working & now turning fully, it didn’t before but I thought that was normal. Also the oven settings seem to be micro only. This happened in September, outwith the guarantee. I am willing to purchase another glass revolving plate but have no way of contacting Caterlite to discuss this. My email is [email protected].

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersLove this purchase to bits. ‘It does what it says on the tin’. Who needs all this touch type digital over-complicated hard to understand technology that seems to be the norm nowadays. Great price great product. Love the revolving turntable which seems to be obsolete in current models. It has replaced my 34 year old retro microwave (sadly died recently) beautifully and joyfully doesn’t take as much room with a lot less noise. I can’t express how ‘bowled-over’ I am with my new microwave as I literally spent hours researching online for the best one to suit me and I have not been disappointed! May it last as long as its predecessor!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersStainless steel not only inside, but inside of front door which on most “stainless steel” microwaves, isn’t SS and rusts, as on my last “stainless steel” microwave. A lot of “stainless steel” microwaves have a stainless steel exterior, but not a stainless steel cavity. This one’s powerful. I hate the digital controls that others have, where there’s a button for this and that specific foodstuff (stupid) but it doesn’t tell you the associated power level so it’s useless for other foodstuffs not listed on the buttons, so you can’t reverse engineer your cooking. This one lets you directly select power level with or without grill and time. Selecting less than a minute is inaccurate.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Usersjust like the old microwaves. very sturdy. simple to use… quiet in use and the old bicycle bell when it finishes cooking. – brilliant !!
A handle to open and close, not some silly button which pushes the microwave across the kitchen to open it
all stainless and the grill function is great
900w too so quicker than the standard
and it won’t rust and rot out like all the cheap nonsense which will need replacing after a years use

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersPractical and efficient this ‘catering’ microwave provides exactly what is needed. It is simple to operate with no unnecessary bells or whistles. There are options that cover a variety of uses including a grill function. However where it excels in its simplicity as a ‘go to’ microwave. The stainless steel interior is easy to clean.
No problems as yet after 6 months use. Only minus is that, given its light weight, it can slip on surfaces if pushed or pulled by mistake. A non slip mat can cure that. Lastly it looks pretty good and fits in well with our other stainless steel kitchen appliances.
All in all a good buy.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersFinally, a properly functional Microwave with aesthetics that won’t scare you. A cinch to operate with the bonus of a grill function, this Caterlite machine has a decent heft to it and won’t walk across the counter when you open the door. I can just about fit my dinner plates in, though other users may wish to do some measuring before purchasing.

The 900W output somehow feels ‘right’, i.e. I am able to judge cooking times much better than with my previous 750W machine, though as ever, practice makes perfect. The noise level when cooking is also totally fine and no different from a standard domestic model.

Easy-clean stainless steel interior and for the price, you can’t go wrong. When this finally dies, we shall be buying another without hesitation.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersUsed in our place of work for staff, overall a great machine works well, quite, well made, great value for money, easy to clean and use well for some! Our last machine didn’t have the grill function this does and it works well, when a staff member left it on the grill setting the next user thought it was still just a microwave and melted their plastic container oops! Not a fault of the machine but please train the users how to check and easily turn the dial to the right setting…ha ha. Would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersThis Caterlite microwave oven ticks all the boxes for the best in microwaves. This all stainless steel microwave is no 40 or 50 quid rust box. Simple to use. No sweating over how to work its digital displays. It has two dials, one for cooking time the other for heat setting. Comparatively quiet in use. Any competent house wife or chef will be able to put this oven to use immediately. ‘Simply the best’.

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersDo you want to use a simple microwave oven, or do you need a degree in operating 99% of functions you will never use, that’s what you have to ask yourself ?

This is born out by the fact that though the printed manual is 68 pages long, only 10 pages are in English and they only take a few minutes to read (many others are like War & Peace), The rest of the book is in 6 other languages.

The only complication is that it is usefully a combination oven, in that it also has a conventional grill built in. What this means in practice is that you set, if you so desire, various different settings (3) and the unit combines different microwave power levels with different grill levels. This, the book says, is useful in maintaining the crispness of various foods, though it doesn’t explain in detail which settings do what. Basically, it uses 30/70% Micro/conventional output on program 1, 49/51% on prog. 2 and 67/33% on prog. 3. Some experimentation needed here ! Most people, like me, will probably just use the five microwave-only levels : Low, Defrost, Med, Med High and High.

It has a light which comes on when it’s running, but not when the door is open, as opening the door stops the oven completely, but importantly, starts it too when the door is shut and the timer dial is set above zero. Therefore, if you open the door before the set time is run then the oven first stops like any other one, but restarts when it is closed again. In practice you return the knob to zero which cancels the timer as you don’t want to run the oven empty and damage the Magnetron (microwave heater unit) – you mustn’t run any microwave oven empty for this reason. No real problems here I add.

Overall, a super, simple unit, that doesn’t need the clock set before use (it doesn’t have one …..) – so useful if the power fails , and, so infuriating on some many other cooking appliances that do need this !!!

It is very powerful and, just, COOKS ……..

Why Would You Want More ? KISS - Keep It Simple, Stupid !

Or press lots of buttons, realise you pressed the wrong ones due to inpatient button pressing and the now longer wait for hot food in a plasticky, wobbly box? For the former…buy the caterlite.

Golden Review Award: 42 From Our UsersI bought this about a month ago for home use – having been through 3 microwaves in approximately 7 years, I wanted something that would last a bit longer so decided to splurge a bit.

This appliance is stainless throughout and feels very sturdy and solid.

The microwave arrived very quickly – I ordered it on Friday and it arrived on Sunday – being left safely with a neighbour, as I was out at the time. It was well packaged in a sturdy box with polystyrene inserts and with a blue protective film which was easy to peel off. Inside the microwave was a metal trivet to allow you to lift up your items so they’re nearer the grill. From what I understand this is NOT to be used when using the microwave or combi functions – only when using the grill.

The dials are super-easy to use and the grill function works well – though I’ve only used it once. There are only two dials – one with time in minutes – going up to a maximum of 30 minutes – and the other dial controlling the temperature and function. The settings are Low, Defrost, Medium, Medium High, High, Grill and Combi 1, 2 and 3.

The combi settings are for grill and microwave – either high microwave power and low grill power combined or vice versa. Whilst I doubt I’ll use these combi settings very much, it’s nice to have them available.

I’ve included a photo of the dials as the one on the amazon website wasn’t close enough to be able to view them clearly – I hope this helps!

The power of the microwave is 900w, which is really very powerful and quicker than my previous microwave – obviously this is a good thing, but takes some getting used to! The noise volume is perhaps a little less than my previous microwaves, being less of a low drone.

In short, this is a great looking, easy-to-use microwave with a large stainless steel interior and useful grill function. The interior dimensions are as stated on the Amazon website, which is plenty big enough for a family of 5!

Great item and will hopefully last a very long time! I’m very pleased and am more than happy to recommend this microwave.

    Great Microwave With Combi Functio
