I BOUGHT THIS TO REPLACE A STANDARD COOKER HOOD WHICH HAVE A LIMITED AIR FLOW.
A GREAT BIT OF KIT FOR THE MONEY GOOD BUILD QUALITY, THE OUTLET IS 6 INCH SO IF YOU HAVE
AN EXISTING 5 INCH OUTLET RUN YOU WILL NEED A REDUCER THATS THE ONLY PROBLEM. EVERY
REDUCER THAT I HAVE TRIED FOULS THE BACKDRAUGHT SHUTTERS WHEN FULLY OPEN. IF YOU
EXTEND THE 150mm OUTLET BY ABOUT 10cm WITH 150mm PLASTIC PIPE PROBLEM SOLVED.

Looks good, isn’t too noisy, does the job it’s ment to. Was only bought for “show” but have actually been using it and works well. Looks just as good as the more expensive ones I was looking at in major retailers. I have this as inside recirculation. Does come with carbon filters.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis took 30 mins to install. How well does it work?? Not brilliant, but for what it is, believe me it serves its purpose at the satisfactory level. It wasn’t particularly expensive, and I have to say its looks really great in the kitchen. Most of my friends think it’s more expensive than it really is, so that made me smile, as it’s a bargain in a way. If you are regularly cooking really large meals for a large family, this isn’t for you; it simply isn’t that powerful or efficient in that scenario.

Very good quality machine, a bit on the noisy side, (never had one before), 1 is quite loud, 3 is deafening, but then all extractor fans are noisy.
Warning, not easy to fit, a proficiency in DIY is required.
Looks good now it’s up and running, not sure if I’ll be able to hear myself cook !

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI went with the ductless as I’ve seen how good the carbon filters can be. I’m no d.i.y.er or tradesmen and had no bother putting this up, instructions are good and there is a video on YouTube. My only gripe is the plug comes out the top so ran a short extension to it …extra 5 for plug and self adhesive conduit from toolstation…the videos on here where it sounds noisy is because they never fit the extension to chimney properly ..once tightened up it doesnt rattle…its not the motor!!! improved our living experience ten fold!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great value ...easy installation...Im happy!!

Came next day, currently having my kitchen refit done so not installed yet (will add pics when I do) took it out the box to check the unit.
No damage all the pieces are in the box. Removed packaging from the motor as was worried as lots of people said it was noisy.
Plugged in turned on power button. Clock through all settings. No load at all good auctions. Light functions.. will update ones installed.
    But happy so fa

I think it looks very smart as my replacement cooker hood. I like that the light is bright, but I do find it to be quite noisy. There are 3 settings and the 1st is OK, but the next 2 seem very noisy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Looks smart, but a bit noisy

Slight issue with the power which i had to get my friend the electrician in for. Not this product fault but the original house owners, as they had put a direct feed into the previous hood with a fused on/off switch in the wall below. This extractor come with either a kettle lead connection or a 3 pin plug. So sparky put kettle lead plug on direct feed then charged me 50 for doing so (git!) 😀
The exractor part of the hood went up fine but connecting the funnel at the top ended up was being a pain. Had to put both parts together and then tape them while staggered, so that when the bottom part was in, a) i could get the top part in without dislodging the bottom part and b) so i could slid the bugger up once i had the bottom part in place. Otherwise it slid down and i was unable to slid it back up again. Such is the cozy fit between them. Once i had figured that out, it was just a matter of screwing the top part of the funnel to the bracket supplied. Didn’t screw the bottom part of the hood to the extractor a) didn’t look good and b) its fits into groves at the bottom and is screwed in at the top, so its going nowhere, even without the screws. Looks good when installed. Only bug bear i have. Its loud and i mean even on lowest setting its alot louder than my previous one. Now this maybe becuase my previous one was crap at sucking up or the motor was slowly dying and we got use to it getting quieter, i dont know. Bit of a shock though when you turn it on for the first time on low and you have to raise your voice to be heard over it.

Sucks alot better than previous hood and filters easy to fit / get hold of (at the moment) if you recycle the air into the kitchen. Didn’t use the external hose bit that came with it. But if you vent externally, you will need something for the outside of the house, as this doesn’t come with anything. So you could be caught short if you do, while fitting outside of normal DIY shows trading times…

Quikc deilvery of the product, looks amazing, good finish.

Clear instruction to install, easy to install by myself. Unfortunatly the chimney clearance was too short, so the chimney was either too short with just the one and too long with the extension and eventually I cannot attach them to the wall. I had to cut a bit out of the extension to fit.

Strong suction power and nice design.
does the job for a year then the fans stopped working but the light still work.
asked for a replacement all done in just less than a week. so im happy.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe screws supplied are ridiculous – too short and too small diameter
No info about how to secure to a wall.
No info about how to connect electrics.
The fuse in the attached plug is ridiculous – should be 0.5 amps not 13
The instructions appear to be written in english rather than the usual chinglish, but the translation fails whenever things get a bit tricky – they clearly don’t understand the product nor the difficulties of installing it.
However, overall the product is less naff than I expected.

The unit is very light and flimsy, one can easily bend the metal with your fingers . The pump is a lot smaller than any previous ones I bought. Comes with a plug and filters

Installation template isn’t hard but a tad fiddly

End of the day its worth the cash but you can tell the life span is limited. In hind sight i should have gone for a lot more expense one as every time you install one, it means more holes drilled in a tilled wall some of which are exposed now due to the previous cooker hoods

It looks fine and suction is ok on highest setting. Its unfortunate that there are a couple of very bad design faults that make it hard to install. There is no space between the chimney once its sat on the hood for the plug wire to come through. We had to cut a piece of the chimney out of the corner which meant only one side could be screwed to the cooker hood. Also the second piece of the chimney which has the side vents in is totally impossible to fit to the top because you have to leave room to enable you to screw it to the wall. Just totally inadequate design and fittings. The side vents are therefor redundant because the top is just open??? Shame because its a decent looking cooker hood for the money

Never fitted one of these before.
Power leads too short. Used another computer lead to reach a socket in the next room.
Would have been nice to have some more detailed fitting instructions QR code on the front of the booklet. takes you to a Youtube video. Had to watch it a few times.
The edges of the 2 part chimney were very sharp. I had a slight cut taking the parts out of the box.
I deburred the chimney parts before fitting. If I had not deburred them before up putting on the last bracket I would have been reaching for plasters.
Now it is up it is quite pleasing. The grease filters may need a little attention in order to reduce vibration. It is the grease filters because the vibration stops if they are removed. A little tweak is required.
