Incredible jacket. The zip is on the wrong side but I assume it’s so you can zip it into a waterproof. Very nice jacke

Veste molto bene, dimensioni giuste a quelle dichiarate.

Really good jacket, lightweight and really warm. I have worn this jacket in light showers whilst out and expected it to be ruined, most lightweight jackets like this aren’t great in wet weather (usually not meant to be worn in the rain) but this has gotten away with it a few times.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt’s not easy finding a 3x puffer stile jacket so thank you Columbia for that. Some shirts I wear are 2x, some are 3x, it depends on the manufacturer and even one style shirt to the next. Thanks to modern manufacturing, right?

Onto the jacket. The fit is generous, I have LOTS of room in this which I like. If you like a more snug fit, you may want to consider ordering down. The jacket is warm without being TOO warm, also something that I value because I prefer a layered approach to warmth. I’ve used it in the upper 40’s to the teens here in the Great Lakes region. The DWR finish seems to hold up well so far, though I did wash it first with Granger’s.

So to nitpick on the jacket, here are a couple of things that stand out. First, there is no Napoleon pocket. I ordered knowing there wasn’t one and thought I’d get used to not having one but I haven’t and probably won’t. Phone in my pants pocket vs. Napoleon pocket is much less desirable. Next, the zippers are too close to the material of the jacket which means if you’re not careful the shell of the jacket will get eaten by the zippers.

Something to be aware of, the side and under arm material. It’s very thin and made out of a similar material as gym shorts. This is both good and bad. Good because it will help regulate heat so if you are warm natured or layer right, it’s good. If you’re one of those who wants a jacket to envelop you in over the top warmth, this may be disappointing. By comparison, I have a similar style of jacket by Simms and the under arm/side material is stretch fleece which does a much better job keeping warmth inside yet still breathes.

In summary, I’m happy enough with the jacket for the price paid–which was around $60. For that price, it’s a no brainer and if something else comes up that catches my eye, I can purchase it without much thought. If I had paid full price of $140, this would be going back. Even the Sale price listed on Columbia’s website of $100 or so, I’m not sure I’d keep it. For the price paid 4 Stars. At full retail price it’s a solid 3.

Lightweight and comfortable. Keeps you warm without sweating. Hood keeps your head dry. Slight amount of feathers leech out but pretty standard for this type of insulation.

I love my new coat. Looks great on. It’s a very thin lightweight coat so don’t expect anything bulky

Very lightweight comfy coat, not tried in rain yet but I’m sure it will keep me dry.

You could be forgiven by looking at the picture for thinking this had cold weather insulation, but it’s more for wearing out on a walk or hike when it’s rainy or there’s stormy weather. The plus side is that it’s very thin and lightweight. so for packing on those weekends away this will be ideal in your luggage, when folded up will hardly take up more room than a couple of pairs of underpants.

    Reviewing — Black Jacket.

Love this jacket, its so lightweight and looks great. Its perfect to roll up and throw in a cabin bag for a short break away. I recently took it on a city break, it doesn’t crease, it’s wind proof and water repellent, ideal for this blustery, showery June weather we are having.

Its my go to jacket for dog walking round the park and also to pop on after I’ve been running. If you are in to walking I think this would be an excellent jacket, its incredibly light weight to carry. The pockets have a really warm fleece lining and are zipped plus the jacket is hooded. The padding feels super thin yet really keeps you warm.

I’ve had lots of comments that the jacket looks very smart, I have the black jacket. It’s a really nice fitted jacket, I’m size medium in most shops and this fits perfectly.

I was expecting to see a much thicker, padded jacket, but it is classed as light (lite). It is more suited to springtime when there is a more warmth in the air. The outer skin is a lightweight, satiny fabric, the padding is slight and there are knitted jersey sections (inner side of arms and down sides of torso) on the garment. It is primarily made of nylon and polyester. There’s a hood, full-zip to front, concealed drawstring to hem and zipped side pockets, The medium (M) comes up about a 38-41 inch chest. It’s supposed to resist some water, so that’s good and can be washed on a cold wash. Quality-wise it is reasonably well made and I admit that I am not familiar with this brand, but I’m not sure that it is altogether worth the current selling price, but having said that my other half likes it as it’s easy to pack and doesn’t take up much room.

This is a lightweight jacket, which matches the padded trend for summer. My 15 year old is using it, and it fits him well – he is quite slim. He found it comfortable, and not too warm. There are sections at each side where there is no padding to allow the arms to fit better at the sides.
