Love it. Replaced my work radio that kept having to replace as they were not sturdy for work. This is a great radio, clear signal and my 4a battery lasts for ever.

Bought this for my wife who works outdoors as a gardener. She loves it. The only criticism is that the mains cable doesn’t tidy away very well. More thought should have been given to this as it lets down what is otherwise an excellent and sturdy piece of kit. It uses Dewalt XR batteries which are not cheap and you need a large capacity one to last all day.

My husband loves this. In fact, when we first moved into our house (& the downstairs had been completely gutted), we often listened to music on this in the evening. The quality was great & the choice of stations is many & varied. Would recommend.

Great radio only negative is the cable and plug is badly positioned on radio. Un wraps easy and on out door works. Plug can get wet or dirt in it.

Great sound and powerful. A pretty small radio for its power and works with power cable built in (240) or 10.8 v or 18v batteries not supplied so very hand. Great delivery too.

Very good strong radio but the plug needs to have somewhere to attach to as it’s a nightmare when it keeps dropping off and unraveling the cable. Very poor design!!

Brilliant stereo, added bonus a place to store + charge your phone, brought it for my son for work have borrowed it so many times for the garden that now I’m going to get one for home as well.

Very pleased with this radio, bought it for working in the garden. Had to buy a battery to allow it to be portable. The 18v battery was 60 however it lasts a good ten hours.
The radio is very robust and the DAB stations are very clear.

Love it , bought if for on my stable yard , bought so many cheap radios that horses have knocked off walls or stood on so thought I’d buy a decent one abd it’s been worth every penny , spot on .

I bought this radio for my brother who works as a Landscape Gardener.
He is very pleased with this radio.
Brilliant sound and very sturdy. Well worth the money.
He already had the batttery and charger so this meant that I didn’t have to purchase these as well which would have made it very expensive.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis radio lives in a workshop where it has to undergo a lot of abuse, battering, dirt and dust. My not too careful employees have written off quite a few radios in recent times but this one endures all that is literally ‘thrown’ at it. It fills me with confidence that it was built for the job, plus the sound quality and ample volume both pass the test.
    A good buy worth considering.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis was a present for my father-in-law to take to work. It’s well made and is still in one piece after a year of being chucked around the back of a van with tools and equipment. The audio quality is pretty decent for the size/price too.

I wouldn’t pay the full RRP for this radio as it isn’t worth it because it is fairly basic. Having said that, the sound quality is good even at increased volume.

Great radio for work and round the home clear sound only downside not much bass but that’s a personal gripe.on the whole the lads at work who have makita radios are jealous

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAwesome awesome awesome!!! Used this more times in the house than at work. Much better sound than I ever thought. I can now listen to wolves play on the DAB which is a big bonus. Great value too. only down side phone section too small for modern smart phone.

I’ve tried value few dab radios and with a long metal aerial all had at some point trouble picking up reception.(all under 40)
I bit the bullet and spent the money and what a difference in reception.
So far I have never had to put up the rubber non breakable aerial and it’s never missed a beat.
Battery idea is crap if it moves in the van it pops out but that’s no problem.
    Doesn’t change your battery’s so you’ll need a spare .
Light weight great wee radio with aux connectio

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI now have two of these. They’re marvellous but have two faults that I would love fixing. One is that there is no channel memory so to change from one station to another can be a pain. The other is that they don’t switch off – which may explain others saying that the volume is poor. Even when switched of on battery or mains the radio remains on, just at a substantially lowert volume. This means that the battery goes flat when you tink the radio is off so you have to remove it when not in use and you have to switch the mains off as well. Both radios do this so it’s obviously a manufacturing problem. Otherwise they’re great.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHave had a few site radios over the years but I love this little one. Carry it with me where ever I am on the job and every job. Sounds good and is light charges your phone. Can plug a mini jack into it so can make it Bluetooth with an adapter. Bad points are. Cannot charge batteries and should of put a door on the other side to put the mains lead away no favourite presets available. You have to search through until you find them. Other than that I like it.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI previously owned a fm Dewalt site radio old style, this radio by far outshines it, whilst being a lot smaller it volume is awesome being a bricklayer / builder it has been tested lol as all other reviews the plug is the only worry I kept the black wire twist and use it to to hold plug on the handle, not ideal but works. Batteries last well a 4ah prob last over 2 shifts. Take some time to pre-set your favorite stations as its a bit time consuming manually changing, few button presses.
Overall happy with the radio, listened to all the first ashes test to the annoyance of all on site :o)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI brought this for my partner as a present and he loves it!! Other builders have asked him where he got it from as its small but gives off a great sound. We wouldn’t be without it now.
The only negative thing I can say about it is, you will need to buy a battery on top which is pricey and then a battery charger.
