I didn’t buy this from Amazon but as I’m a long-standing customer of Amazon, I wanted to review this wonderful little heater. Wish I’d bought it a long time ago. My present bedroom wall radiator has never worked properly and I’ve been using a fan heater on/off for a long time in cold weather. This heater is fabulous and I love it. The thermostat works well and it heats up really quickly. I have a good size oblong bedroom and with the thermostat set to just above half, my room thermostat is keeping at 20.5 degrees. Oh, and I’m sure it will be much cheaper than a fan heater of 1000/2000watts. Fully recommend.

Love the sturdy design, it works well on heating up but my room is too big so it cannot heat up the whole space but I put it near me when i am studying or when i sleep so it helps. I believe this will work best for a medium or small room if u are looking for the whole room to be heated up. It doesnt produce a sound at all, even if it did, it is just like a whisper. At night, when there is no sound in the surroundings I still cannot hear the heater working at all so that is a bonus if u are looking for one with a silent working sound.

I read all the reviews before deciding to order anyway. I haven’t had any problems. Someone said the power button broke as it was fragile so I have been careful and just keep it in the on position and plug in when required, It doesn’t put out the heat my gas fire does but at least it doesn’t make me fall asleep and I feel comfortable even at half way position so bear that in mind. It definitely works. It is also lightweight compared to other models! Very pleased with purchase.

I use it in a bedroom at night so I’m not heating the whole house. It’s been a good investment.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI wanted a low watt heater, that I could leave on in my motorhome over winter to keep it from freezing. It never got as far as the motorhome, I put it in the garage/workshop to test it. It’s vey good I keep it on a very low setting which takes the chill out of the air. But can turn it up to warm the room when I want to work in there. (My garage/workshop is very well insulated).

Seems to be very economical to run, but I have no actual figures.

It’s only draw back is it’s very short lead, which limits where you can put it, without an extension lead.

Didn’t expect much from a 700w (non-oil) radiator, but this little beauty is so efficient that we’ve had to turn the setting down as it chucks out more heat than our previous 650w oil-filled radiator.

The first one was for my dog, and has served him well over the years. I bought the second one for the bedroom, which only requires heat at night when occupied. Really good little radiator.

Excellent heat output, left on overnight no clicking noises from the thermostat unlike others. No oil so no fear of leaks. Perfect for small spaces, well happy with this

Love the design and size of the heater, not cheap but what is. Good heat output for a smaller room, if you need more power buy a more powerful heater, does exactly what it should

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersThis looks like being a good little heater — it’s small and pleasing in appearance, warms up quickly, and there’s a dial to adjust the heat setting rather than simply on/off or hi/lo.
My only disappointment was a small fault which is only cosmetic and does not affect the function — the end casing affixed to the body of the heater, onto which the foot is screwed, is slightly malformed at one end and cannot be made to sit neatly in place. There’s a gap. It’s not broken, and it was carefully packaged with protective polystyrene inside the box; it must have left the factory like it, I think. We carefully unscrewed the casing and reassembled it but it’s just a bit awry and we couldn’t fix it.
I decided it was a first-world problem, and over the top to require a delivery man to come out all over again to get a replacement; I’ve positioned it so that side is to the back. But it is a minor irritation, especially as this model is much more expensive than some of similar size — I bought it because I think it’s so pretty.
I don’t know how well it will perform once the cold weather comes, but it certainly functions fine and sits neatly in the space next to my bed.
It’s really light to pick up and move, which I like, comes with an instruction sheet, and the on/off switch and setting dial are clear and easy to get to.

Good heater but mine had a slight cosmetic faul

Bought for static caravan. Safe sturdy and heats up well in smaller space.
Will use as back up in lounge in colder weather but ideal for cooler autumn evenings. Voltage won’t trip the electric. Ordered another one for bedroom.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt gets hot pretty quickly. It’s only small though so will obviously struggle to heat large spaces.

We bought it to gently heat our summerhouse in spring and autumn. The house is about 3m x 2.5m and we’ll insulated. The heater doesn’t have a problem warming the room up. We need a relatively low wattage heater so as not to consume to much power and not to melt the long cable run to the summerhouse (a longer run will have higher resistance and will therefore get hotter than normal. Our electrician advised us not to use a high wattage heater).

    So perfect for our needs.

I love this little radiator, it is functional and cute. The heat output is good and it can be set to whatever level you want. I would have given it 5 stars, but the lead is shorter than ideal.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersBoth my mum and myself have had one of these heaters for around 5 years now. I use mine to heat my radiator-less cold hall in the colder winters. She uses hers for extra heat in her front room. For a small little radiator they chuck out a ton of heat and don’t cane the electric bill up. Last week my mums boiler packed up. So I ordered her 2 more of these heaters. She put one in her bedroom, one in the hall and her old one in her front room where it usually goes. They worked great at keeping her rooms warm in the emergency, until the boiler was fixed. I paid postage to get the heaters delivered to her within days but they took double the amount of time to deliver. But today I have received an email from Amazon crediting the postage back to me on my next order with them. So thank you Amazon. As I was a bit disappointed over the postage issue but you have made good in the long run as usual. These little radiators are so good, we don’t mind that the extra ones were not needed for long. They are so handy to have and now my mums new spare ones for emergency will be stored away for when needed. They are a sturdy design. No oil in them to leak out. Thermostat works great, so it turns itself on and off to keep the selected temperature. I’ve only ever had to turn it half way round on the temperature setting. The sturdy wide feet make it very stable. Plus it’s easy to pick up and move.

I have 2 of these & 3 of the larger size; Dimplex are excellent.
If you can, pay the extra & buy these…. I returned 3 other makes before falling in love with these !

Absolutely perfect size for a small bedroom; happy to leave on overnight on low heat and it doesn’t cost a lot to run either – gives out a good amount of heat; if you have a large room then expect it to take longer to do its job, in my opinion and for the reason I purchased, I highly recommend this dear little heater xx

Value for money good that is not oil filled but a little bulkier than the picture gave the impression of. Using it in a small storage room to prevent damp.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our Usersbrought this to get through the winter when in the van. not as satisfying as the propex in terms of instant blown air heating but kept me comfortable and not getting hypothermia when the propex stopped working. Also managed to get the van up to 25 degrees with this from 10 in under an hr. I now leave it in the van as a backup as its quite small so good for limited space. recommended for anyone that has a campervan or caravan and wants a backup or will have site hook up’s regularly.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersBought for a Campervan. Very toasty on low. I decided oil free is a good choice, in this case. It heats quickly but even more useful, is that it cools quickly for packing after use. Light weight. But note the size. Bit bigger than the mini oil radiators I had seen. So you may want to consider this before deciding. Oil radiators are good if a bit heavier and slightly slower to heat up. This is also very stable, not having wobbly plastic wheels.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is perfect for a small room. For example, I’m staying at my parents whilst our house is being renovated. Their very small spare room is around 11ft by 11ft and it warms the room up nicely. I also previously bought the next size up and that’s great too. That can heat up a really large room!

The only thing I’ve had to do is mark a black dot on the dial. You can’t tell what temperature you’re setting the radiation to. Apart from that, it is what it is and it does the job.

It arrived a day early and this was inconvenient for myself and my neighbours. It did not work when I first plugged it in but on opening the plug I saw a loose screw. After putting the screw back in place, the heater worked! It was been very good. It heats up my little study. I like its small size, its portability and it is aesthetically pleasing. It has just the right ‘character look’ for my modern interior.

Great little heater thermostat is not too far off either bought to keep the temperature floating around 8-12 in my camper and so far is working a treat. Digital display in camper says 13c and the heater clicks on just before that sort of temp but thermostat for digital display is high and heater is at floor level so may be even closer than that.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI needed an efficient low power heater to make best use of spare solar energy detected by a Wattson Optiplug because, during winter months, the levels of sunlight required to trigger and operate a larger 1Kw heater would occur much less frequently than for this model. The Dimplex range of oil-free heaters provide the pleasant ‘evenly controlled heat’ of oil-filled radiators without the waste of time and electricity associated with heating up a quantity of oil. I find them much preferable to fan heaters which generate noise, ‘hot spots’ and rather dry air. At 700w this unit is perfect for heating a well insulated, small to medium sized room during the daytime, when the main heating system is off. Although reassuringly hot to the touch, the radiating surface would be insufficient to heat a poorly insulated or draughty environment, especially if there is a need to quickly bring the temperature up from a very low level. The thermostat is electro-mechanical, so does click. The build quality is very good, so if you are disappointed with this heater then it will almost certainly be because you underestimated the amount of heat you need in your particular environment.

I originally purchased a cheap 700 Watt heater for the motorhome from a local Indian run Market Bazaar and had to take it back after 2 hours because it was broken and exposing all the electrical wiring that I considered was dangerous – The proprietor explained that it may have been on display and someone re-boxed it – why risk it ?

This cost three times the cheap product and it 100 times better – a trusted name (Dimplex) and the performance is really good in the conservatory during recent frosts – It is intended for the motorhome where the hook up current will allow 700 watt plus other electrical items.

    I like it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAfter much consideration of other similar heaters, I chose this one. I really like it, it warms up really fast and stays warm for a quite a long time after reaching temperature and the thermostat turning off. I haven’t been using it long enough yet to comment on running costs, but it is only 700watts so it should be reasonable. I found it warmed up my living room really quickly (size 14ftx16ft) which surprised me for such a small sized heater, although I did have the door closed. I particularly like the size of it, it easily tucks away down the side of the sofa when not being used and is unexpectedly light and easy to lift, even for me who has joint and mobility problems. The only downside that I can think of is that the cord is short, but that is easily solved with an extension lead. Overall, I would recommend it, it would be good in a small space too, but seems to work really well in larger ones too.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThis is a fabulous heater, I gave it 4 stars simply because it is not designed to be covered. This means I can’t ‘iron’ my clothes using heat to get out the creases like I could with my last radiator. It does also mean I can’t position it near anything that could fall on it, so they have to be in safe areas rather than in the exact area I would prefer. Having said that, this is a marvellous heater, light, effective (yes, even with 700 W), attractive, small, unobtrusive, economical – I just love it. In fact, I bought two more, so I now have three. They can be placed on the carpet with no fear of an oil spill. One warms my lobby which used to be freezing, I keep them on all the time on low, but give them a boost for half an hour on high first thing in the morning. The rooms warm quickly. One is in the hall, I don’t get mould spotting there any more, and it takes the edge off the cold making all the difference. The third is in the sitting room. I have gas central heating, but it doesn’t need to be on much now I have the heaters. I recommend it to anyone though it may suit people who are not too cluttered best, because you do need to find a place for it where there are no overhead shelves and nothing can fall on it to block the surface.
