Good low cost heater, that can be run at lower or higher settings depending on needs. I use it in a small study during the colder months when working from home alone.

I am very pleased with this product. Had an earlier model for a number of years and it finally broke so had no hesitation it getting this newer model.

Bought to help heat up the lounge in a more cost effective way. It has 3 settings and have used on the lowest setting as well in the bedroom. Good quality, easy to use and heats up the room quickly.

Bit smaller than I expected, good for heating a small room.

    It is a great product:
    – It’s not too big, but it is powerful, especially on the maximum setting.
    – Obviously silent.
    – I don’t need to to it, but it can be moved around with ease.
In the beginning it may smell a bit odd and it may make some crackling sounds, but it’s normal. In my case, the smell and the sounds went away after two days or so.
    I kept the product.

Throws out plenty of hear and gets hot fast but unfortunately cools down when switched off very quickly too. Wasn’t expecting that. Only irritating design feature is the lack of a handle or hold grip on one side so difficult to pick up when moving it upstairs.

The cable is also rather short but to be fair this was stated in the pre-purchase blurb. But annoying because you are instructed not to use an extension lead

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI got 1,5kWh which is powerful enough for my medium rooms. I always keep it on full output but keep on the low thermostat. I’ve noticed that it’s using less energy than my old heaters as when the temperature is reached, the thermostat kicks off for quite long not taking unnecessary energy.
It heats up quickly and it’s light and easy to move on the wheels. I’m happy with this heater.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI used to have a 2KW one in the past. It lasted for many years and finally broke down.

I decide to buy it from Dimplex again, because of the reliable quality that I had on last one. Plus I like the Oil free design, and it’s ECO energy, saviing bills, also has the wheels for easy moving.

When I was buying this time, I decided to go for 1.5 KW. Because of my previous 2KW was well too powerful, too hot and a bit heavy. I never needed to use the full power, always only on the low power. So I got smaller KW this time.
This 1.5KW is still powerful. Heats up quickly and keep the room warm and hot constantly. This 1.5KW is also less noisy than my previous old one. It doesn’t really make any noise unless I use the thermostat. When the thermostat is on, it’s just a bit flickering sound on and off sometimes, not too loud.

Really happy with this 1.5KW oil free ECO radiator!!! Definitely worth getting it!!!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this , as like most of us we are trying to use less gas and electric, for the living room. (about 18×12 ft) my room is open plan, with stairs in the living space going upstairs, and takes ages to heat up and is not easy to keep warm without the heating being on for hours, so i bought this to try , it heats quickly and takes the coldness out of the air quick. so i dont have to have it on for long . once the room is warmer it has three settings so you can stabilise the heat once you are happy with the temperature. for a large bedroom this would also be great . In smaller rooms id get a smaller heater. this one i bought is 1.5kw and apparently cheapish to run . so im happy with it. i also took it to my friends place and his room is very well insulated with good doors and no drafts and it heated up lovely .

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe use this mobile radiator in our garden shed/office and it seems to work very well, although we have only had it a few weeks and it’s yet to get really cold. Hard to say how economical the radiator will be but reviews in Which and in national news papers were optimistic.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this heater when our central heating wasn’t working properly.
Arrived promptly and provides a really good heat.
Only used on manual settings so far, but does have automatic timer options which could be helpful on cold mornings.

Bought as back up for if heating broke – or to warm up room on odd occasion didn’t want to heat whole house
Look good but output not as good as my old heater and expensive to run – especially with recent increases

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersPerfect little heater, gives of a lot of heat on setting 2&3. I have an average size bedroom and it warms up in minutes, but would also warm up an even bigger bedroom on the higher settings. It gets used almost everyday when cold & I even use it to dry my wet suit when it’s hung up on the curtain rail, no problem. I’ve shopped around & this by far is worth the money for what you get. Great product would recommend

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe are pleased with this radiator. This smaller model does not come with a timer, but I have it on a separate timer switch. It radiates plenty heat – more than sufficient for an average size room such as bedroom or kitchen. It did seem a little pricey but it’s reputable brand so I took the chance. So far, we are happy, Considering buying another for the hall.

This product right here, is a life saver if your heater just broke down, or half working. It heats up a room pretty quick, it saves you money on electricity, and its very easy to move or to use. I love it. Money well spent.

Bought to use instead of an expensive storage heater in the lounge. Heats the room really quickly and is lovely and toasty, with thermostatic control. It will hopefully save me money on electricity as it so efficient and it is eco friendly without the oil – very impressed so far!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI much prefer the Dimplex Oil FREE radiators, they are light, quick to heat up, amazing heat output and don’t cost any more to run than any other heater. Great secondary source of heating. I use mine a lot, wouldn’t want to be without i

This little heater is fantastic, we had a cold spot by the front door and this has completely sorted it. It only needs to be on a low setting to heat the area so we’re really pleased with it. Well worth the money.

Easy to set up- attach castors with wing nuts, plug in and you’re good to go! Simple to use with three levels and thermostat control. Keeps my home office warm even on cold days of winter and cheap to run.

Golden Review Award: 38 From Our UsersWell impressed. I urgently needed something in late November (with a NW storm in the offing) to give me some heat somewhere in the house after my gas combi-boiler gave up the ghost unexpectedly.
After a bit of googling and exploring amazon I settled on this. It arrived promptly. The castors needed to be attached but that is a simple job: the little flynuts can be screwed into place by hand. Though it was at this stage, in turning the heater upside down, that I discovered that the Dimplex only has a ‘carry handle’ (basically a moulded recess) at one end. So, unless I missing something hidden in plain sight, for the description on amazon to put that feature in the plural is misleading. However, it doesn’t weigh too much, so rolling it onehanded to a different position isn’t a problem, but lifting it is awkward. Yet as I said, fortunately, it’s not very heavy.
Setup was reasonably simple. Except…. the LCD display is dire. I had to find a torch to read it – on my hands and knees! Even then it’s difficult to read because of the glare from the little round red light immediately above the display (it’s dulled out in the image on amazon). Not a canny design.
But I’ll forgive all those little niggles, as this heater really does the business. There are three heat settings: 0.6kW 1.4kW and 2kW (would be handy if that info were included in the amazon blurb…). I have mine on the middle heat setting, and even with the ‘stat set quite low it maintains a comfortable temperature in a (pretty well insulated) room say 12ft x 15 ft, plus quite high ceilings. It soon starts blasting out the warmth. None of that half-hearted feeling that you’d get from the old oil-filled models; this gets to go right from the start.
As for noise. Inevitably the metal creaks as it starts to warm up or cool down. Just for a few seconds. And there’s a tiny click from the ‘stat itself in switching on/off. Nothing that would stop me from getting a good night’s sleep!
So, yes, a vital stop-gap and a worthwhile buy.
