versatile for most uses
Excellent value for the infrequent user.Inevitably somewhat top heavy but safer and preferable to having to use a ladder. Make sure the chain has the oil resevoir topped up!
Great item a bit top heavy
Brilliant for the price! Cuts through like butter. Currently cutting back a group of conifers. Easily cuts 1 to 2 inch thick branches with chainsaw attachment. The hedge trimming attachment glides through most of what’s there. Only gave 4 stars on “easy to use” due to being a bit top heavy.
Long reach and lighter than battery powered
Excellent. This was the longest reach and the lightest one I could find without spending a lot more money. I’ve used it for lots of work and whilst no trimmer/pole saw is easy to use (protect your back and don’t over reach) this has been ideal.
Brought this after going through many reviews on this and other products. Been using this for about a month now and all I can say is that you won’t be disappointed with the results.
On unpacking there is some assembly to do, but the instructions were straight forward enough and if you can use a screw driver then you should have no problems putting this together
Reading through some of the other reviews on this product, there were some comments about the looper not cutting, I think this was done to the assembly as the chain only cuts one way so if you’ve put the chain on backwards it won’t, just follow the instructions and you’ll be fine
Trimmer rims as it should and the looper will t through pretty much anything like butter
The long reach pole was the main reason to buy this and at 2.4m easily reaches what I needed to cut. It is a little weighty but I was in no rush so just cut a few, tidied up and cut some more. Not too much of an issue
All in all does what I hoped for and at nearly half the price of more branded models, very happy indeed
Weight isn’t too much of an issue, great product, great price
Read some reviews which basically mentioned the weight. It is quite heavy and being long can be a top heavy as obviously the weight is at the cutting ends. But the strap helps and it’s not too heavy. I wouldn’t Say not to buy this because of the weight.
Both cutting tools cut really well giving a good finish. The reach is good and for the price it’s probably done as good a job as other more expensive options.

Package arrived damaged which damaged part of the equipment but manufacture replaced by next day! Amazing service and very professional. The product itself is absolutely perfect. Lightweight and powerful, highly recommend.

Great tool. One problem is the clamp that holds the head onto the electric pole is plastic and this needs to be stronger both have cracked so the contact between the electric supply cannot be kept.. is there a replacement for this pa

Instructions could be clearer, but good value used for 30>45 mins used 1/4 tank of oil (good advice when storing ensure that tank is upright as it tends to leak)
Contacted hot deals as could not get any electric, guy was very helpful and supportive even talked me through the process (Exemplary customer service )
Never used Chainsaw, so advise looking on youtube for fitting chain. Looking from above the point of the block/cutting block should be going towards the tree, the back end is a straight edge check you tube!
Hedge trimmer is also good, yes it does feel top heavy when extended but what you expect when the motor is up there!
Use the strap so the weight is on your shoulders it is easier.
Very happy on first use if change will update.

Fantastic, although I really can’t see the point of the strap. It doesn’t help in any way. I can see how some people might find it heavy, especially when holding it to trim tall hedges for a time, but seriously, you’ll get that with any suitable tool. This works. It cuts through thick tree branches and trims hedges well, and comes with an initial bottle of oil for your first use, unlike other products I looked at, which is a nice touch. The hedge trimmer isn’t on a pole, like the chainsaw, so when connected to the telescopic unit (which it has to be to receive power), it cannot reach the same distance, but realistically it doesn’t need to, unless you’re fighting a forest in which case it’s not this tool’s fault your hedges grew so tall! No one said ladders weren’t allowed, either. 5/5 100% recommended.
Easy to use
A really nice piece of garden equipment. It’s very easy to assemble and use, and so far cuts quite heavy branches with little effort. I was a bit surprised by its weight, but after careful adjustment of the shoulder strap I had no problem supporting and manouvering it.
Fit the support strap correctly and its great to use
I was aware from the reviews that some people found this a heavy piece of kit. I would definitely agree with those statements. However given what its used for (especially the extension part of it) I found this a great item to use. It comes with a strap which when fitted properly reduces the weight factor considerably. One of the things I worked out after some trial and error was if the ‘head’ is angled downwards it makes it a bit easier to use. I’ve got a proper chainsaw and hedge cutter so I bought this for the extra length and I am extremely happy with it.
Good value for money
I bought this to take down a sycamore tree that had had grown too high and wide. With the use of an extension ladder, I was able to lob off branches and ultimately take down the tree to a manageable size. It is top heavy, especially when using the chainsaw attachment, but definitely good value for money. It did the job I bought it for, so have to say I am happy.
Powerful Chainsaw for size.
Superb chainsaw. Excellent value for money. Is a little on the heavy side with weight at end but harness really helps. Extra long reach extension gets you to trickier spots with tilting mechanism. Cut through 4 – 6 inch branches no problem. Highly recommend.
Product good value but delivery poor.
Product is fine albeit a little heavy when pole is fully extended. However service from UPS was poor and I rate them zero stars. The comments via Amazon email re the missed delivery and attempted delivery yesterday were blatant lies. I was in all day and I have full CCTV coverage at my house. No attempt was made to deliver yesterday at 4pm (when the CCTV shows me in front garden mowing the lawn!!) or at any other time. It was delivered a day late at 9:45am today. Perhaps you should try another courier in future.

I ordered this item with a little trepidation given that it’s not a “high-street” brand and because I’d previously bought a battery powered hedge trimmer that was nothing short of useless and stopped working after about 30 seconds. I was hoping that this trimmer would be the dogs…
And it certainly is! The hedge trimmer is powerful and more than adequate attacking the large hawthorn hedge at the back of our garden. The addition of the chainsaw attachment for those larger bits of branch is a real winner – I was surprised at how quickly and effectively it did the job.
I would thoroughly recommend this bit of kit, the only downside is that it is heavy and for someone a lot smaller than me (I’m 6ft 3) it might be difficult to wield this at it’s full extent.

Works well
Used for heavy pruning of small tree. Did the job well but a bit heavy to manoeuvre at times, but did the job well and a lot quicker than it takes me to do this job manually
This is an amazing combination of hedge cutter and chainsaw, and good value.
It’s excellent, both tools work very well.
The hedge cutter is not as powerful as some dedicated machines, but is good enough for 16mm branches and lighter than some of those powerful beasts – in terms of weight, bear in mind that when attached to the extension it feels heavy when held at an angle.
The chainsaw is super, runs smoothly and cuts well.
The only thing you cannot do is work at close quarters due to the minimum length of the arm, if you hold the machine close, you can’t reach the trigger.
It comes with one refill of chainsaw oil, so works out of the box.
Assembly is straightforward, it took me about 30 minutes to assemble. The chainsaw needs the most attention making sure the teeth face the right way and the tension is correct, with everything secure. I couldn’t really understand where to put the shoulder strap, it’s a little cumbersome wherever you put it.
The power is passed through the arm – when the chainsaw and hedge cutter are attached, they slot into a power connector at the end of the arm.
Practical and functional
A bit heavy for me but doesn’t really matter, as my gardener will be using the hedge trimmer and chainsaw, most of the time.
Important to get balanced
Bought this for my wife’s birthday. She loves it. To use it safely it requires setting up which is important. This is tme consuming but we’ll worth it. With the tool balanced it is easy to use.the tool does all the work. I have read some reviews find it heavy and hard to. Please get the tool balanced correctly.on the shoulder strap which takes the weight then just guide the tool. I will update when she has used it.
Seems to do what it says
Just been delivered after 1 day. Box damaged in transit,so tested it for damage and to ascertain if everything worked. It appears to do everything it says on the box, but only time will tell if it is reliable. Did not expect it to be light, as each head unit contains an electric motor, which adds to weight and necessarily will be heavy if it is to be robust. Would not recommend use by ladies or men who are slight of build. Will further review after a year’s use, or if it breaks down before then.

What a piece of Kit!! Chainsaw went through tree branches like a knife through butter – I got carried away and now have a huge heap of felled branches to dispose of. Hedge cutting attachment excellent also enabling me to reach the tops of my high hedges.
I have given it 5 stars because it works perfectly for the purpose for which it is intended as a pruner and it is also great value for money. It has been a revalation. On it first day of use I used just the chainsaw on and off for about 3 hours of heavy duty work. It will jam quickly if you are cutting through lots of twiggs and brush rather than clean branches and so you need to check and clear it often so it does not damage the plastic guard or cause the chain to dislodge – common sense really. The oil does also leak out of the resevoir a bit depending on how you store it, but oil is not expensive, always check before use.
why didn't i buy one years ago
I’ve waited a couple of months before reviewing this so i can use the two tools. I love the saw despite it being a pain to assemble, why didn’t i buy one years ago… and the trimmer does what its meant to. My only little gripe is its far too top heavy for and accuracy, but i suppose when your trying to cut something 4 feet away thats to be expected
This is an excellent product. Well made and solid. It has worked with no issue (cutting two car loads of branches). Note the oil will very slowly leak out but this is probably unavoidable.
The addition of the hedge trimmer gives you effectively two products in one. The reach is very long, more than enough for most situations.
The only thing to be aware of is that it is very heavy so you cannot use it for too long. The key is to get the harness to take as much of the weight as possible.
First time for using this type of cutter…. worked very well, easy to handle, good coupling and change over from one to another…very happy with my purchase.

Long reach trimme
Okay for long reach but a bit heavy if used for too long & I still use my old one for normal height cutting. I just wish it came with the option with a short handle. Haven’t tried the saw yet but looks okay

Very good value and very versatile
Works very well and is very versatile. My reason for 4 rather than 5 stars are twofold.
1. It is quite a heavy beast, even with the shoulder strap in use. It helps if you wedge the end into your stomach/groin.
2. Don’t leave chain oil in the saw as it leaks and goes everywhere, as I have found to my cost.
Other than that it’s a fine piece of kit and has made short work of the tops of my 100m of hedging.
Used for the first time over the weekend, while the unit becomes a little heavy after a while the cutting is excellent & the chainsaw is brilliant, I initially bought for the hedge trimmer, I tried the chain saw out and was surprised how good it was cutting through a 6″ diameter branch in seconds
On the negative side the assembly instructions are poor and the chain saw requires full assembly

OK so I haven’t used the chainsaw attachment yet but I can report that this is a well made and effective garden tool and the hedge trimmer works a treat. The product itself is not overly heavy, however, as all the main weight is in the motor and blades, this means all the weight is at the end of long pole, which makes it feel very unbalanced and heavier than it actually is. Fortunately the shoulder strap and excellent thick foam handle grip help greatly to control the item but make no mistake, your arms will ache after a while. It’s worth it though for the invaluable reach this item offers.
A very sturdy and well made piece of kit. A bit on the heavy side but not too unwieldy or difficult to use.

I was worried about buying an electric hedge trimmer because my previous one was a petrol one costing four times as much money. Realising I only use a hedge trimmer about twice a year I opted for this as a cheaper alternative and I’m so pleased I did, it cuts through the laurel and hedge effortlessly. The only downside is its a little heavy to use at full stretch but thats a small issue for such a good product.
A bit heavy but I don’t have a great deal of tall hedges. As far as the build quality goes, this seems to be a very sturdy piece of equipment that will hopefully last for years.
