    Fiable
Bon produit domotique.

    Sehr gute Dimmeigenschafte

    Quality produc
These work very well, are reasonably easy to install and connectivity to my z-wave controller was very easy. Been installed for a few months now and have worked flawlessly so far.

    Brilliant!
Works flawlessly, its pricey, but the build quality is fantastic definitely worth it, and has power monitoring 😀

if you don’t have space to wire behind the wall switch as it requires a deep pattress, much deeper than one typically finds in a UK house, it is possible to wire into the ceiling rose instead if you have more space there, such as with a large kitchen light, where typically you’ll find permanent live and neutral, in which case one wires as per a normal 3 wire install, except the switched live from the wall switch goes to terminal S1, and the SX terminal is left blank. (see attached wiring illustration) I’m using this wiring setup in conjunction with a momentary switch to support dimming via switch, not standard a on/off one.

Note this isn’t an officially supported way to wire this dimmer unit so use at your own risk, however it is working fine for me.

Also sehr logisch.

    Viele interessante Einstellungsmglichkeiten.

    Installed in House Alarm System.
Amazing little device, used with Smartthings to provide remote control of conventional wired house alarm. Can Set, Unset and trigger alarm remotely either via phone app or via an automation in Smartthings.

The best dimmer you can buy... but at a price
These Fibaro dimmers really are the best that you can buy if you want remote control of lights within a home automation setup. They are Z-Wave so you need a controller, but the sheer range of options and compatibility on these is amazing. Also and very importantly they work on the 2 wire arrangement that you generally find in UK light switches. There are some capabilities (like the ability to add a second switch which triggers Z-Wave events) that you don’t find in many of these devices. They are expensive unfortunately, but you get what you pay for.

Turn "dumb" lights into "smart" lights
I wanted smart lighting throughout my house, but didn’t want to mess around with smart bulbs which limit your choice of lighting and stop working when somebody turns the switch off. Instead, I fitted these in each lighting circuit to turn “dumb” lights into “smart” lights.

The units are very compact, but difficult to squeeze inside most back boxes. In most cases, I fitted them into the hollow wall adjacent to the switch. On one circuit, I fitted it into the ceiling near to the light fitting.

They are not difficult to wire up if you have experience with electrics. The terminals are small, but sufficient. These work best with permanent live and neutral supplies. If you don’t have neutral to the switch, I believe you can wire the Sx terminal to the neutral terminal. In my case, I wired them up as:
    – L: Permanent live
    – N: Neutral
    – S1: Switch (L1)
    – Sx: Switch (Com)
    – Output: Switched live

I combined these units with momentary switches, which allow me to turn the lights on/off by pressing and releasing, or dim/brighten by holding for a few seconds.

Most importantly, these connect to Smartthings hub, which allows me to control the lights on the app, Alexa, IFTTT and most other services. Connecting these to Smartthings took a few seconds by pressing the switch three times in quick succession.

I have created automated routines to turn lights on at sunset and off at 10pm, as well as linking lights together so my Hue lightstrips also turn on at the lightswitch. All of these routines have worked flawlessly.

These aren’t cheap, but they’re worth the money to be able to have smart lighting throughout.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersParfait ! pour toutes sortes de montages

I’ve tried similar products and been disappointed with the so I was apprehensive about forking out for the Fibaro Dimmer. My fears were quickly set aside the moment I paired it with my Smartthings setup, it just worked so well. Dimmer was detected correctly so no messing with custom DTH code. Well pleased.

    Perfektes smart home gadge

Kein flackern, kein Gerusch nichts.

Ich kann die Dimmer nur weiter empfehlen.

    UPDATE 03.10.2022

Funktioniert immer noch alles ausgezeichnet, kein Ausfall, keine Einschrnkung… perfek

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersTrès petit et facile à utilise

Good range of features, works well with Samsung SmartThings
I like this device. I have replaced most of my wall switches with these. It only has one switched load but you can generate a scene change or association group message for a second switch. I use this to trigger Scenes for Hue Blubs.
Good range of parameters to tweak.
In a UK box I normally have to use an extension pattress. If it was a little slimmer I’d give it 5 stars.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersgreat dimmer that works well with smartthings
    great dimmer that works well with smartthings. my only criticism is that ideally it would be better if;
smaller (its a very tight fit in the largest backbox you can get)
and allow for dimming of two lights.

That said i have installed 5 and some relays that work very well.
in case it is any help – if you can remove the backbox without destroying the plaster too much, then my answer was to put in a second junction box (i used a schneider waterproof that would fit through the backbox hole) – i then put the fibaro and the cable to the junction box and fed wires back to the switchbox.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersExcellent module z-wave. Facile d'installation.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersGenerally a back-box of 35mm or deeper is a bit fiddly but fine, as long as you don't have too deep ...
I’ve wired 16 of these into every light circuit in my house, so a random mix of 1/2/3-way, led/non-led, extractor fan, dimmable/non, toggle/momentary switch, etc, and not had a problem with any of the options after some re-configuring of settings. For the most part I was able to wire myself, but got an electrician to help with the 2/3-way and to also replace some of the back-boxes with deeper ones. Generally a back-box of 35mm or deeper is a bit fiddly but fine, as long as you don’t have too deep a switch. I used a 10mm extension collar (that matched the switch) for 1 box which was 25mm, as it wasn’t worth digging out the wall for a deeper one.

Very pleased with these in the setup, it opens up so many options and doesn’t have any of the limitations of bulb-based tech like Hue (i.e. turning off at the switch and losing the connection). I’m using Smartthings as the hub with the excellent device handler written by codersaur from the Smartthings forum. I love the ability to double/triple click a room switch to set scenes such as turn on another connected Hue/Wemo bulb in a lamp in the same room. Also Smartthings integration with Alexa is very useful. I only had to run one Led circuit with the Bypass as the total draw was less than 50w, but the other Led circuits have enough bulbs to result in over 50w.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat smart home tech which integrates well with SmartThings
Great dimmer that is easy to install and very customisable. I link mine with SmartThings and it works really smoothly (though needs a custom Device Handler). I have installed 6 and one was faulty so was a bit frustrating while working that out, but thankfully buying from Amazon they sorted me out (Fibaro support is useless).
If at all possible I suggest aiming for a three wire installation since that way you should avoid needing to use the Bypass device and it will also run more efficiently. If going for a 2-wire installation and you have LEDs then you MUST use a bypass otherwise you will find that the lights never turn off completely.

Excellent dimmer, works with any bulbs including LEDs, but make sure you read the instructions
I’ve got a pretty much a complete smart home now. I had a look at the crazy expensive Control-4 systems with Rako dimmers and what not, but I decided to DIY the home myself and go with zwave. The dimmer forms a key part of the whole system and I’ve got around 22 of them to control various circuits around the house. All GU10 dimmable LEDs to keep runnning costs down.
I’m using the vera hub initially and then moved onto OpenHab2, but the same configuration parameters apply. One thing you must note is that you need to get the bypass module and connect it in parallel to the load, and also that 3 wire neutral connection is needed; which maybe complicated if you aren’t doing a full rewire in the UK.
You need to read the instructions well, and make sure you do the “auto configuration” setup each time you add/remove/change a bulb. And especially if you have the bypass connected. Parameter13=1 (without bypass) or 2 (with bypass). If you don’t do this step right, the LEDs flicker when dimmed to some low level. It really bugged me and I couldn’t find anything online on how to fix the flickering so I thought I’d make it a point here.
After that though, it’s been working great, and am very happy with the product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat produc
This is a great little device. I’ve been struggling with finding a way to automate the bathroom lights due to the necessity of needing a particular light fitting which is moisture resistant, with smart bulbs not being an option. This has answered that problem. It took some time for my smartthings hub to pick up – I read that some just had to push the physical switch a few times but I had to reopen the switch and click the reset button a few times before it registered – but once it did (and after I had assigned the ‘thing’ to a custom device handler) it has been flawless. Really pleased and will be looking at investing in a few others for other rooms. Just a shame they are so expensive.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSuper Dimmer - läuft einwandfrei mit Raspberry Pi3 & FHEM

Viele Funktionen, sehr klein, kein Firmwareupdate

I’ve purchased this to run 4 spotlights in the living room. They’ve been replaced with dimmbale LED bulbs so I had to purchase the bypass too as the current would be too low to run without. Ive also hooked this up to Samsung Smartthings – which detected the dimmer but couldnt control it so had to use a custom device handler. It now works flawlessly. I plan on buying several more now that Ive proven the concept.

I installed this today to connect with Smartthings. The installation was reasonably straight forward and would suggest watching a few videos on installation before you start. This does work with Smartthings straight off the bat, however the default functionality isn’t the best. Suggest installing a custom divice driver and use the custom code discussed on the ST community forum. Had issues with the custom code to start with, however after a few changes got it working spot on.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersProbably the best UK zwave dimmer - but needs extra unit to work with many LEDs
Several of these working well installed on 2 wire (no neutral) wall switch positions controlled with Smartthings. Check out the Smartthings forum for a device handler that works great with this model, the standard driver is for a previous model of dimmer and doesn’t support the 212 at this time (April 2016).

Also, although it is very compact, it may not fit in your wall switch backbox unless you have very deep backboxes. I had to add the BG 817 backbox 10mm spacer to create room.

With LED bulbs I found I needed the Fibaro Bypass 2 add on as the LEDs were still glowing when switched ‘off”. I wish Fibaro would include low current support in the dimmer out of the box.
