I am in the process of building up an EDC kit incase I have to abandon my car. I like the fact that it has a detachable solar panel to allow for multiple charging options. Such as charging your devices while keeping the battery fully charged so it can be used when there is less light for it to be recharged. The only thing that I can say bad is that according to the package contents, it should had came with a charging cable. I find that a minor inconvenance as I have over the years acquired enough charging cables to open my own business. Battery is very fast to charge.

I was amazed at how large the fold out solar mat was for this it’s actually amazing for charging on the go when out with my drone.
The recharge speed is by far the fastest I’ve ever owned due to this extra mat of panels. Great purchase and it’s well made.

This power bank boasts a sturdy construction with a nice design and a capacity of 24000mAh.

It comes equipped with a detachable solar array for charging, as well as USB and fast-charging capabilities.
Originally I thought there is wireless charging available but that’s not the case. Be aware, however, that doesn’t take away from its purpose.

Although solar charging may be slower, it remains an efficient option during sunny conditions. With its durability and versatility, this power bank is a great choice for those who love the great outdoors.

This rugged and portable solar charger is a proper power brick. At 24,000 mAh, there’s enough juice to charge a large screen smartphone about 4 times. The solar array on the battery will provide a weak trickle charge, but this is supplemented by a removable four-panel solar array that can be used independently, or connected magnetically to the power pack, making five solar panels in total. The removable four panels can also be used as a standalone charger, with USB-A output (but without battery)

Fastest way to charge up the powerpack is by plugging into the mains power source where a Type-C USB fast charge, or Micro-USB regular-charge will power up the battery. I had more mixed results when using the solar panel, as energy input dips when overcast, or (as you’d expect), when walking under forest canopy. Solar also charges much slower than mains electricity; a full day outside with 5 panels and I didn’t charge main battery above 25%.

There are two USB-A and two USB-C output ports, and the powerbank supports PD20w and QC18w fast charging and with the capacity and ports, I found you can quite easily charge multiple devices simultaneously. Note that wireless/QI charging is not supported (nor is any claim made that it is)

All ports are hidden behind a rubber panel, to provide protection from dust, water and sand.

There is also bright LED torch on the front, but it’s awkwardly positioned so works best if you rest it on a surface. The light provided will is better for close range tasks (like cooking in the dark), rather than going on patrol where a long-range beam would be useful. It doubles up as a strobe / SOS flashing light, but haven’t had to use as such. Range would be fairly limited (it’s 680 lumens, so better for shorter range signalling)

Overall this is a useful powerbrick. It’s big, chunky and fairly rugged. The removable solar panels, whilst much lighter, also add to the bulk. On camping trips, the 24,000mAh capacity will get you multiple charges for USB-powered devices. The solar panels will also keep the battery topped up, but charge the battery at a much much slower rate than plugging into the mains.

4.0 out of 5 stars Big and chunky, and stores a lot of charge. But solar panels still charge slowly.

This is an extremely rugged, well built, high capacity power-bank. It’s well designed, with an optional solar array that can be quickly attached and detached via magnetic connection.

I can’t stress enough how solid and substantial this power-bank is. It’s really robust, covered in a tough plastic that should protect it well against knocks and the elements if being used outdoors. With outdoor use in mind, it also has an emergency torch on the back, which puts out a decent light.

At 24000mAh, the battery has enough capacity to charge a phone and other devices several times, which makes it perfect for camping trips. It will also fast charge phones via USB-C and USB-3, which is good.
You can charge the power-bank from a power source though USB, USB-C and even Lightning connection. The main selling point of this power-bank, though, is that you can charge via solar. The array is nicely built, folding out to reveal four solar panels, which combine with the panel built into the bank itself. On a sunny day, it’s quite efficient, but it struggles to generate any significant power if conditions are overcast. As a bonus, the four panel solar array can be used independently to charge or power other devices. Charging is very slow via the array though. In my test, on a very sunny day, it was producing 1% charge to a phone every four minutes, so based on that, you’d be waiting a few hours to get a decent amount of charge. Still, it’s enough to get you out of a situation where you’re in the middle of nowhere with no phone power.

I like adaptability of this power-bank. You can use it like any other regular bank, but it has the bonus of the solar panels. It’s well made and feels like it’ll last well. Definitely worth considering if you’re a keen camper, hiker or festival goer.

4.0 out of 5 stars A robust, high capacity power bank.

I have a similar one to this but this one does feel heavy, however, it is brilliant. Charges things really well.

    Sturdy. Excellent quality.

The solar panels connect easily to the power bank. You just need to line up the gold coloured contacts on the power bank and the solar panels and it connects magnetically and charges it up with daylight or sunlight easily, saving money on your electricity to charge it up. There’s also an out usb on the solar panels so you can charge other things up with just the panels (not tried this out yet).

There’s a power on button on the side.

Long press to turn on the very bright torch. Press again for it to flash and again for it to strobe and again to turn off.

he Solar Power Bank with 5 Foldable Solar Panels, PD20W & QC18W Fast Charging, 24000mAh, Magnetic Detachable Panel, IP54 Waterproof, Anti-fall/Vibration Design, and I must say, I’m quite impressed with this product.
the design of this solar power bank is very sleek and modern. The foldable solar panels are a great feature, as they allow you to easily store the power bank in your bag or backpack without taking up too much space. The magnetic detachable panel is also a nice touch, as it allows you to easily attach the power bank to a backpack or other surface while charging.
The fast charging capability of this power bank is also impressive. With PD20W & QC18W fast charging, you can quickly charge your devices on the go. The 24000mAh battery capacity ensures that you can charge multiple devices multiple times before needing to recharge the power bank itself.
Another great feature of this solar power bank is its IP54 waterproof rating. This makes it ideal for outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, or boating, as it can withstand splashes of water or rain without getting damaged. Additionally, the anti-fall/vibration design means that it can withstand some rough handling without getting damaged.

This battery is heavy but is very easy when the battery is being charged by the sun which takes hours to charge 25, 50, 75, 100 and green light to show it’s charging.

A bit on the pricey side, but this solar power bank has proven its worth in my outdoor trips. The solar panels fold away neatly when not in use and offer a flexible charging solution under the sun. The quick charging feature keeps my devices running smoothly during long hikes. The robust construction, coupled with dustproof and waterproof features, assures me of its durability in rough conditions. The added outdoor light is a convenient bonus, turning into a handy torch during night-time. This product has indeed added value to my outdoor experiences.

The power bank has five foldable solar panels that harness solar energy to recharge the power bank, particularly useful when you’re at a festival for a few days or camping somewhere that doesn’t offer power facilities.

The power bank itself offers multiple USB ports, including standard USB, USB-C which most modern phones us and the older Micro-USB so good choice of ports to charge a whole range of devices. For example charging a portable speaker as well as your mobile devices.

It’s quite weighty to carry but has a large 24000mAh capacity which is enough to charge multiple devices multiple times and the foldable compact design makes it easy to pack and store.

Overall, it’s a great idea and perfect to use at festivals but will add to your carry weight to get it to your tent pitch. Once there though, sit the panels out in the sun and you’ll have power to charge phones at night.

Thank you for reading my review, I hope you found it helpful.

I’ve been using this powerbank as a reserve when away from home, and the solar panels are a nice touch to help top-up the charge levels in the pack if the conditions allow. There is a single solar panel on the powerpack itself, and the additional panels unfold then attach to the pack with magnets; you just have to make sure you line up the connectors at the right end.

Once connected and in bright light the small display shows a charging indicator, and an approximate charge level. You see the figures flash as it charges, though it isn’t a fast process. For example I’ve left the pack and panel next to a large window in bright sunlight for the past five days, and the charge level has increased from something over 50 to reach 75. The magnetic mounts do hold the connections fairly well but ideally it would all be placed on a flat and stable surface whilst charging in bright sunlight. I imagine it would be more suited to using on a canal boat or caravan than when out hiking.

The pack itself works well enough in providing power, and the high capacity is great for extended periods away from a normal charging outlet. It is a fairly robust device with lots of tough plastic, though it is fairly bulky and heavy which may be a consideration for some uses.

This is a well built and reasonably heavy unit, the main selling point is that the solar cells can be detached and used independently of the battery to charge a phone. But I don’t think you can charge the battery with the solar cells placed remotely from it.
The battery will charge via the solar cells or via a mains lead. The instructions say 12 hours in strong outdoor light but it will take days in the average British weather. The battery however has a large capacity so should be able to top up phones and the like a number of times before being fully depleted. The display for showing the charge level has a mirrored surface which can make it tricky to read and is totally pointless on an item like this.
This does not have wireless charging; you have to plug the phone into it.
Overall it is a nice unit with a large battery but the solar is only really as a top up or emergency unless you are lucky with the weather.

I ordered the solar power bank as a gift for an old friend who goes camping ever so often. He works festivals annually and lives in a converted old Mercedes bus, which is enormous. While his life is idyllic, and I love camping, I also enjoy having a home. Because I enjoy camping, I got hooked when I first saw the device. It seemed expansive, rugged, and sturdy, exactly what you need for the great outdoors. Reading the reviews, I was intrigued but also apprehensive; however, I decided to get it and allow my friend to decide for himself. I like the bulky and outdoor-orientated design and applaud the addition of solar panels, especially since I am one to advocate for clean energy.

The solar panels unfold and can be attached to the power bank magnetically. The one we received had a good magnetic hold; nonetheless, a magnet is a magnet, and this one is not the strongest. The capacity is large, which will allow for several fast charges. Fast charging is something I like and appreciate, especially if you have an emergency when camping; they usually happen when your battery is too low.
I think this is a sturdy and well-made product, highly beneficial to people who love camping and outdoor activities. It impressed me with the design, looks, and the addition of the folding solar panels. For me, that was the primary USP (Unique Selling Point).

I’ll start by pointing out that this does not have wireless charging. One of the images is misleading and suggests that it might. It doesn’t. It also doesn’t say that it does. So with that out of the way, this is really good. The 5 panel solar attachment works really well. Just what you need as it allows you to charge on a cloudy day. My video shows how well. It works inside through a window. That is with the blind open but the window closed. Outside is obviously even better. It is rock solid, super rugged and the seal around the ports is tight. All together this is a fantastic camping or hiking must have. This will be in my bag every time. Thoroughly recommended.

I’ve been looking for a solar charger for a while looking to cut down on the expense of constantly charging devices. If planning on similar, it could take a few years to recoup the money spent on the charger so worth taking into consideration. For home use, it is bulky but I like that the 4 panels can fold up for easy storage. The main charger can sit on top of this but isn’t secured on and there’s no bag provided to keep everything together. The charger doesn’t come with cables but has 2 USB outlets and 1 type C which can speedily charge your phone to 60% in 30 minutes but because I’m just using the normal USB it’s still taking the usual 3 hours to charge. I’m not a huge fan of the charging indicator – it’s a mirrored surface with very small 25, 50, 75, 100 and green light to show it’s charging in the sun but these are really quite hard to read in the sun. Indoors they’re much easier to see. I do appreciate that the main power bank also doubles as a torch – good brightness for a tent. The 4 solar panels also have a USB port but this relies on constant sun to charge so depending on the weather can be very slow as it drops in and out. I think if you are going to use it consistently and have lots of devices and lamps etc that need charged then it is worth looking into. It’s not something you can keep in your pocket though for emergency charging – fine in/attached to a backpack but it is quite heavy. It takes 12 hours to fully charge the power bank – this can rarely be done in one day in the sun where I am (it takes 5 hours to charge if plugged in) but I get multiple devices charged several times from this so it has plenty time to recharge but I feel like the battery might start to deplete over time if solely doing a solar recharge. Overall though it is very easy to use and it is going to save me money charging various devices and USB lamps around the house.

It’s handy but bulky on the palm. Power compactments is properly secured and it comes with a wide solar panel charger. It’s chargeable either with electricity or solar.nice outdoor device.

This portable charger with solar panels is handy if you’re off the beaten track for more than a couple of days and can’t charge your phone via a power socket.

The charger actually has a very large capacity anyway that will charge most phones several times. But it’s useful to have the solar panels to top it up, and the panels work well in favourable conditions.

The charger is pretty heavy and bulky – and has lots of hard plastic with fairly sharp edges on it. I’d expected more rubberised edging as the listing says it’s ‘Designed with edging protection for anti-fall and anti-vibration.’ I’ve dropped a star for this.

The range of in/our ports is good and means you can charge more than 1 phone at the same time. It charges phones quickly, as long as your phone supports fast charging.

  18. Anonymous says:

First thing to note is that this is a physically large powerbank. I’ve had others in the past that are smaller than this and have more capacity, not as rugged however. Add on the solar panels and this is quite a large package to carry around.

The solar panels work well enough for charging the powerbank ONLY. I tried the USB socket on the solar panels but it was more or less useless for me in moderate sun, even in very strong sun, it was struggling and the charging kept pausing which turned my phone screen on, overall, I had a net loss is battery from using it so I won’t like that.

The solar panels connect onto the powerbank magnetically. The magnets are too weak really and they come off too easily, any form of force at an angle will separate it. If I attached this too my backpack, I would be concerned of it dropping off and me not realising.

The solar panels fold up nicely but not as nicely when attached to the powerbank and it is very thick in total.

The main powerbank works well enough though with a good capacity. I got about 4 and a bit fullish charges off a 4000 mah phone which will do me plenty for a short trip. If I was hiking, this would be perfectly fine for a couple day trip, especially if you can charge it on the go.

As a product, it does work and its one of the few I’ve found with solar panels that will actually charge the powerbank. Personally, I think it is a bit expensive since it is so bulky and the solar panels are only adequate and no better. I think a better solution for most would be to spend a bit extra on a good standalone solar panel to throw on a backpack and separate powerbank rugged or not is up to you. You would only need to hang the solar panels and leave the powerbank in your bag.
