I bought this about 9 months ago (on sale) and absolutely love it. it has most of the benefits of a smart watch that costs double the amount. The battery life is really good. I put it on charge when i go in the shower and that’s plenty to keep it full, but even without that it will last about 5 days without needing to be charged. I go swimming with mine, under water has never been an issue.
I bought this just over a years ago & it’s helped my lose 5 stone by tracking my steps & calories in & out. I particularly like that it’s more ‘watch’ shaped than most of the narrower fitness trackers. Battery lasts around 6 days on average (even after a year of use), though battery life is much shorter if you use the snore feature. The app is pretty good, though Google do seem to be slowly stripping it of features & some features are paywalled behind a subscription service. The free version of the app is more than enough to track calories in/out, steps, resting heart rate etc. It’s certainly helped motivate me to try a little harder some days.
Excellent watch
Grandad accidentally put his fitbit versa 2 through the washing machine so I ordered him the versa 3 , he loves it, connects to his phone much easier and the watch strap is much easier to change too
A definite upgrade
My previous Versa was not holding its charge for very long so upgraded to a Versa 3. Now I easily get six days between charges. Easy to change between apps too.
Don’t shower or swim with watch o
Thought you could wear it to swim or shower, but looked closely at the instructions, says not recommend in shower, products might wear out quicker, same as swimming, other than that, a good watch, for telling the time, exercise, sleep logging, and bp
This was a present for my mum for her birthday. We have 3 Fitbits in our house and love them. This is so much better that the versa 2 just for the ease of changing straps as the versa 2 is fiddly and can be difficult with the little metal thing. Love the clip in and release button on the versa 3. I think it’s great you can dress the watch up for nights out with a diamant strap and bling face or change for comfort with a scrunchie looking strap or stretchy knit strap. The features are fantastic and loving comparing how much sleep and deep sleep we have had as well as competing on how many steps we have done. Love that I can change the picture on the screen too (I have Disney castle). Would recommend and was fantastic value for money
Cracking fitness watch
I am so glad I upgraded from the versa 2. I love the feel of the strap on this one and it’s super comfortable. The GPS and fitness tracking works very well and is a lot more accurate then my previous models. Messages and answering phone calls is a great added bonus.
4.0 out of 5 stars Fitbit Versa3
The watch is great but the strap uncomfortable so bought a leather one which was easy to fit. Satisfied with my Versa3
5.0 out of 5 stars Gift idea
Brought for my mum as her old one broke and Fitbit site never helped us fit it but great value for money here
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good - versa 3
As expected from Fitbit. Doesn’t auto-track gps on walks but works fantastic for tracking steps, heart rate and sleep. Exactly what I needed to encourage healthier fitter lifestyle.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fitbit versa 3
Easy to set up, simple to use. Good battery life too. Excellent product all round
5.0 out of 5 stars My husband is delighted with his new Fitbi
The face is easy to read, he is still learning about all the features but is getting there and is most satisfied with the Versa three and it’s strap.
Very good so fa
I’ve had it for 5 days so far and the battery is still at 40% a lot better than others i have tried. Very comfortable on the wrist. Does everything I wanted it for like tracking steps and heart rate during a workout
5 stars
5.0 out of 5 stars Fitbit Versa 3
The watch arrived the next day and found it very easy to set up. Had a fitbit versa 2 previous, so happy with the upgrade.
Thanks
Nice looking piece of ki
Bought this as my Versa 2 died after 18 months .. hope this one lasts longer..nice looking watch easy to read and navigate.. charge lasted 5 days only downside is strap like the colour but don’t think it will last long.. time will tell
Worth it!
Very happy with this purchase after years of being an Apple Watch user, I wanted to change it up and for cheaper smart watch This does not disappoint and for a fraction of the price!
5.0 out of 5 stars Grea
bought this for my husband and he seems really happy with it may even get myself one
5.0 out of 5 stars Good fitbi
Bought for my wife and she’s happy with it. Sometimes it doesn’t pick up heart rate and doesn’t always connect to the app. But still good
5.0 out of 5 stars Versa 3
Easy to set up and use. And l can see the time when outside which is really good, as most fitbit type watches are hard to see in dayligh
A step up from the Charge 4
More versatile, looks great, clear screen, comfortable to wear great value. I chose this because the Versa 4 and Sense 2 were really more expensive with less useful features. I have an android phone so done needed Google maps and works use the phone for Google page if I choose. The Fitbit pay doesn’t work with my bank.
Overall delighted .
Grea
Great! This was an upgrade from my versa which I had for sometime. Works really well, a bit different to previous so took some getting used to. The stap irritated my skin so brought a replacement woven fabric one. Would recommend screen protector. Great all round watch, 6 days battery life and Alexa built in is a bonus. Highly recommended
Not on time
Product seems great so far but when I ordered, it said delivery by 10 pm today. As soon as I pressed the buy button the delivery date changed to next day by 10pm. Other than that it seems great so far 😉
I have used it for 8 months. Over a month ago, I started to believe that some heart rate readings are occasionally inaccurate even though I wear it tight. I purchased the Garmin Venu Sq2 a few weeks ago and have been wearing both watches every day simultaneously (Garmin on the left, Fitbit on the right). These are my observations:
1. Versa 3 tends to count 200-300 more steps per day than the Garmin Venu Sq2. I usually walk, on average 11,500 steps per day. Versa 3 also estimates 100-300 more calories burnt a day. I do cycling, walking and strength/cardio in the gym, physically active 7 days a week.
2. For weight training and cardio in the gym that involves wrist flexion, I wear my Garmin heart rate strap monitor which is more accurate than optical measurements. The Versa 3 seems to consistently display 200-300 calories more per day too.
3. My Fitbit shows my VO2Max to be 50-54 (excellent, I am 56 years old) based on long-term data. I could only estimate my VO2MAX with my Garmin using the GPS and speed walking outdoors. It gave VO2MAX estimate of only 41 (good for my age group). However, I did the test under non-ideal conditions; hilly terrains (I do not run).
4. The Garmin app cheekily and incorrectly suggests I should lose more weight. My measured body fat is 10.9%, BMI is 22 and muscle mass 43%. I don’t think I should get any leaner.
5. There are many examples in that Garmin stated my sleeping score was poor while Fitbit indicates it was good! The Garmin’s algorithm places lots of weighting on the REM minutes.
So i am a week in as a fitbit user for the first time.
First impresions, good quaity device, app is very easy to use, like the free trial for 6 months ( will update as time goes on)
Lots of helpful information on the app.
Sleep tracking seems very good. As does the step counter.
Only downside so far is the horrible standard strap, with the stupid lug you have to force into place.
Can see why they sell a “proper watch strap” for an extra 30 quid !!
May try a non fitbit strap from Amazon!
Will update after a few months.
First update!
Well after my original review, the next day the strap started to split!
Told Amazon, who were very helpful.
I didn’t want the hassle of setting up a new device, so I got a discount on my purchase to enable me to purchase a different strap. Will let you know how that goes!
Can’t believe they sell a good device with such a crappy strap!
Sleek and stylish, built-in GPS, long battery life.
Fast delivery, very well packaged in its own box with instruction manual.
The Fitbit Versa 3 is a sleek and stylish smartwatch designed for fitness enthusiasts who want to stay on top of their health and wellness goals. With its built-in GPS, daily readiness score, and up to 6+ days of battery life, this smartwatch is packed with features that will help you stay motivated and on track with your fitness journey.
One of the standout features of the Fitbit Versa 3 is its built-in GPS, which allows you to track your outdoor workouts without needing to bring your phone along. Whether you’re going for a run, bike ride, or hike, the Versa 3 can track your route, distance, and pace, giving you detailed insights into your workout performance.
In addition to its GPS capabilities, the Versa 3 also features a daily readiness score that helps you understand how ready your body is for a workout. This score takes into account factors like your sleep quality, heart rate variability, and activity level to provide you with personalized guidance on when to push yourself and when to take it easy.
Another great feature of the Versa 3 is its long battery life, which can last up to 6+ days on a single charge. This means you won’t have to worry about constantly charging your watch, making it a convenient and practical option for busy lifestyles.
The Fitbit Versa 3 also comes with a 6-month premium membership to Fitbit’s app, which offers personalized insights, guided workouts, and advanced sleep tracking features. This membership can help you take your fitness journey to the next level and stay motivated along the way.
Overall, it is a great choice for anyone who wants to stay on top of their health and fitness goals. With its built-in GPS, daily readiness score, and long battery life, it’s a reliable and practical smartwatch that can help you stay on track with your wellness journey.
I have had the Versa 1 for quite some time before switching to this Versa 3, so it was easy to get used to this product and to set it up. Sleek, light and really easy to use. The band is very comfortable and doesn’t snag on my skin at all.
One disappointment is that is tracks my runs different to all other trackers. I have experimented by running with Garmin, iPhone and other devices. Versa 3 consistently loses about 0.5k for every 7k. So if you have run for 15k, it will only show up less than 14k. I know my routes very well and so I know it is the Versa 3 that is wrong. This is disappointing as the feature I had been most excited about for the GPS.
I told myself I would not buy another fitbit watch as I’ve owned 2 in the past and both died after 2 years after updates and going swimming. But I went and tried other brands and nothing really matched the fitbit or they lacked certain features I wanted. So I found myself going back to fitbit.
I don’t regret the purchase as it ticked all boxes, large screen so makes reading notifications very easy, being able to answer calls as other watches you can only reject calls, many fitness features, feels and looks premium, easy to use. Overall it does everything.
Built in GPS is great so do not need phone when going for a run. You can even take calls from the watch if you really need too, make payments but I don’t use this feature but good that there’s an option for it.
Various different watch faces if you want a change.
Great watch. I just don’t think I will ever take it swimming and fingers crossed it updates over time with no issues as this is where my old ones died on me for no reason at all.
Watch arrived well packaged but the strap came loose on the first day and the screen cracked. Fitbit helpline were amazing, I was concerned that buying via Amazon I wouldn’t get the full fitbit support but it was no problem at all. Watch fixed within a week and it’s a great fitness watch, Which.com rated it very highly as well and marked it as a recommended buy
New watch
Bought this as an upgrade to my Charge 2. Overall the watch is great and you get free Preminger 6 months. However after my battery lasting only 24 hours between charges, I had to switch all the premium functionality off as this drains the battery ! But all in all a decent price for tracke
The watch is great. I love the sleep tracking and it really motivates me to keep moving. There’s lots of fun watch faces and I like that I can easily log my exercises in. It automatically knows if you’re on a walk , which is cool. The app is really good too.
The strap it comes with however, beware.. these photos are after working a busy shift so maybe I sweat a bit but I’ve worn it in the pool so I don’t think it’s moisture. Bearing in mind I work in an industry where I wear latex gloves all the time and never have a reaction. My friend also had this happen with the strap they provide. It’s also quite awkward to put on and do up. I’ve ordered a new strap now. I’d recommend changing the strap out.
Otherwise can’t fault the watch itself 🙂 really pleased with it.
I didn’t know if I should buy the Versa 4 or this Versa 3 one.
So I did my research and I am glad I went with the Versa 3.
Why?
Google assistant is on this one and not the Versa 4, I have asked them if it will be on the new one and they don’t know.
Music app on this version only for now which lets you leave your phone at home and listen to the music. DEEZER is the only one that lets you do this but it’s on premium only which is annoying but you can download your playlists to the watch.
I am using the 3 months trial they give you.
Spotify don’t let you download music to the watch and they want you to pay premium to just control your music on the watch. That is why DEEZER is the winner for me.
3rd party apps on this version and no news if the versa 4 is getting that support,
Flash light, clock faces, loads of free and paid , has navigation app but that is under a paid yearly app.
This version does have Fitbit pay but most UK banks don’t support it but I am hoping they will add it to the versa 3 like they will be to the versa 4 once the google pixel has been out for a while.
The versa 4 has 3 features that I wanted but are not even released on that version yet. They are google maps, google wallet , YouTube music.
So I am hoping these will be released and then I am a very happy buyer.
CONS
Bluetooth range
The versa 4 does have better Bluetooth range as this version you do need to be near your phone which is the cons.
No Google Maps
No Google wallet
No way to store Music to your watch without paying DEEZER Subscription fee but do use there 3 months free trial.
Can’t have Alexa and google assistant on at the same time.
Lots of fitness stats and you get 6 months free Fitbit and the well being monthly reports if you need to know more about your health.
Versa 3 is much cheaper has more features then the versa 4 at the time of writing and they don’t even know what is happening on the versa 4.
So that is why I went with the versa 3 smart watch.
I really loved the battery life on this thing and the superior sleep tracking plus it was light as a feather on my wrist. There was a really nice clip on screen protector (bought separately) that didn’t affect the touch-ness or brightness of the screen and it came with a nice breathing app and loads of info on the premium app – free for 6 months (tho not a big fan of paying for info off a device I actually paid good money for).
The first thing that really ticked me off was Google Assistant really didn’t work for me as well as on the GW4, there was no Google Pay option and even tho Notes had been asked for since the watch release it still hadn’t been implemented when I came along.
Plus I noticed a lot of ‘My watch died a week after the warranty ran out and Fitbit weren’t interested’ posts in their forums and Reddit – Yes they tended to offer a 30% discount on their site for a new watch but you could find that price on Amazon much of the time so not so generous…
I bought this as a replacement to a Huawei Smart Watch after it had made recording any manner of activity a literal nightmare and was delighted at the level of content it could record and how easy it was to use.
Pro’s
– Needs a little charging out of the box, but holds charge for up to 5 days easily.
– Plenty of options for customising the clock face
– records data well to companion app on your phone, companion app synchs with other apps like My Fitness Pal
– Can choose from a range of exercises that it can record you doing
– Can download and use apps like C25k (already installed on this one) which enhances overall use.
Cons
– The major con that I’ve found with this which has led to me taking off a star is the screen is super easy to scratch. I was walking through a door and lightly brushed against it to take a delve out of the middle of the screen which worried me quite a bit. There is also no option to replace this screen as Fitbit do not offer this but it has not impacted the functionality and with a screen protector on it now, you would need to look at it hard to find it.
– The strap began to rub my skin off after having it on continuously for days at a time. I ended up buying a fabric strap that feels much better and has caused me no problems since I had it.
All in all, a fantastic health centred smartwatch for those who just want to monitor their activity. But please buy screen protectors with it. You will not regret that purchase.
Purchased for my wife. Not sure we she keeps wanting fitbits considering each model she’s had over the last few years has resulting in it developing a fault within first year. Luckily it’s always just been within the 12 months warranty resulting in having almost two years usage from each (taking into account the replacement each time). Hopefully this one will last a good couple of years outright, will update this review then. As for this watch it’s 100 cheaper than an Apple SE with additional standard features such as oxygen sats that you’d have to get an Apple Watch 6 or 7 for. Screen is certainly more impressive than then her previous charge 3 hr.
Like the screen size and colour. Easy and quick to charge. I like the fact that it charges quickly and the battery lasts at least several days. Love the GPS feature and heart rate monitor. I find that the haptic touch side button to too easy to accidently use – too sensitive. Turned off the single press feature and just use the button as a double press to activate an action – no issues then. Would highly recommend.
After doing a lot of research on what fit bit was suitable for me, I settled with the versa 3. I have an amazon echo and I love how I can use this with it, another feature that I liked was using spotify with it. I prefer having a slightly bigger screen as well, so those were the few reasons as to why I picked this model. I love the colour. Unfortunately the strap that comes with it irritated my skin, so I brought a material one on amazon. I would recommend getting additional insurance for this product just in case, as fitbit have a tendency to break easily. The battery life could be improved on, but it does charge up very quickly. The fitbit app is easy to use.
I’ve only had the Versa 3 for 1 day, I upgraded from the Versa 2 which I had for 16 months and started getting issues with it not syncing/connecting to bluetooth/getting gps signal from my phone. So I upgraded as the in built GPS seemed a good option for me. I mainly use my watch for cycling. here’s what I think so far.
Very easy to set up, it came with 50% charge on the battery. I couldn’t connect to my Wifi for a while, realised I needed to select the WA option instead of WA2, but yeh if you have problems just try a different option on the drop down. At first GPS wouldn’t connect when I tested out the exercises as if I was going on a bike ride, I’ve not had a GPS watch before and it wouldn’t connect for ages, then I read online that you need a clear view of the sky, as soon as I walked outside it connected (drr!).
I do not like the fact that they have swapped the button on the side for a sensor. With my watch worn on my left wrist, I would naturally use my right index finger and press the button from the top, but the sensor does not recognise my index finger, so I just have to use my right thumb – it sounds silly but when you are so used to doing something a certain way, it takes a while to alter how you do it so it’s been a bit of a pain, plus my thumb has never worked first time on the sensor either.. it works fine when I’m holding the watch in my hand, but when it’s on my wrist it so far takes about 3 tries every time, I’m hoping i’ll start getting it right soon, I think the sensor is possible too near to the rest of my arm when wearing the watch that my finger doesn’t cover it all as when I take the watch off I can do it easily with my thumb, but again it won’t work with index finger on or off which is strange.
The motion of turning my wrist to get the screen to light up seems to work loads faster than my Versa 2 which I was having to really exaggerate the action for. It used to work faster so maybe they all slow down, but I’d only had it 16 months!
I am not a fan of the strap, and twice have already dropped the watch whilst trying to put it on. I’ve ordered a different strap now and a protective cover. I’d never had to change the strap on my Versa 2, it has always been fine.
I don’t really use the watch for much else, just bike rides and HIIT workouts so I can’t write about the other functions. I’m trying it out on a ride tonight. I’ll update this review in time if I need to.
**REVIEW UPDATE 15 Months after purchase –
I have been wearing my Versa 3 every day since I brought it. It has been great and I’ve not had any of the previous sync or connection issues. It’s been very reliable so far with syncing to strava for my bike rides.
I still find the sensor ‘button’ a bit hard to turn on first time, so I never got used to it, it’s always been a bit awkward to me and I still think a button like on the Versa 2 would have been a better design.
With regards to the motion of turning my wrist to get the watch display to light up, this seems to have slowed just like the Versa 2 did which is weird. I sometimes have to exaggerate a big turn of my wrist 2-3 times when I want to look at the display when out on my bike using it, and when not using it and just wanting to look at the time, it could do with being a second faster.
I’ve never used the original strap, as I much prefer to buy a separate nylon stretchy strap where you don’t have to undo the strap to get the watch on, you just pull it on. If you buy one though, always go for ones with metal clasps over plastic, as I’ve had a nice plastic one but it lasted 6 months. The metal one i’m on now has so far lasted 7ish months.
Overall, I love this, like I said I’ve worn it every day, it still looks new and I’ve even got tan marks from not taking it off. I used it for road biking, roller skating, walking and I have swam in it too. Oh, the screen locks when you go for a swim and it’s very very difficult (took me 5 mins) to unlock it to stop the exercise so beware of that.
I’ve had this for 24 hours and I love it. I was nearly put off by some of the reviews but so glad I decided to buy it.
Very comfy to wear, looks great, excellent battery life, lovely clear screen, seems very actuate so far. The only disappointing thing is that the wallet/pay feature isn’t supported by my bank (or very many yet it seems), but I always have my phone with me anyway so no huge deal.
Happy with how it works with my iPhone. I didn’t want an Apple Watch because of the lousy battery life. I did my research and knew what the limits would be before I purchased.
Very happy with my purchase.
Quick and easy to set up.I originally had the first versa but needed a new one(first needed charged all the time but had it a while).I like the look of the new one and the strap and how easy it is to change the strap this time around.I like the “sensor button” at the side-old verse was an at actual button and just moving my wrist would set it off.Can answer calls and talk through this watch but the speaker isn’t very loud and I seem to have the volume set as high as it goes.App notifications are good on the phone once you’ve set it up.Happy with my new versa and does what I bought if for to encourage me to walk more.A driving mode would be good but may set it to do not disturb when driving.
