Ich hatte mir zu erst eine Jacke fr 50 gekauft, die war aber nicht zu gebrauchen. Deshalb hab ich mir auf Grund des lesen von Testberichten mich fr diese Jacke entschieden. Und ich muss sagen, es ist eine wirklich sehr tolle Jacke frs Fahrradfahren auch im Starkregen. Die Jacke ist winddicht und hat auch bei Starkregen (30minuten) nichts durchgelassen. Fr mich ist sie auch sehr atmungsaktiv. Ich nutze sie fr die Fahrt zur Arbeit im Stadtverkehr. Das Material ist sehr angenehm auf der Haut fr mich. Die rmel sind etwas lnger, das ist super wenn man Handschuhe bentigt. Die Reflektoren sind sinnvoll angebracht.
Lo puedes usar para invierno, otoo y primavera. Yo lo he usado desde -5 hasta +16 C. Depende de lo que lleves debajo. Para -5 a +3 suelo llevar una camiseta fina termica + otra.
Esta prenda te aisla del viento y te permite conservar tu temperatura. En cambio es un poco transpirable, lo que te permite no sudar. Es impermeable con lluvia fina o leve.
No recomiendo lavarla muy a menudo. Es una prenda que no se ensucia o se limpia con un trapo mojado.
Je viens de tester sous une journe de pluie intense avec des vents odieux ( avec des tempratures de 8 – 10 degrs )et la fin de la journe pas une trace d’eau n’est passe.
J’ajoute que la sueur a t convenablement vacue !
C’est ma deuxime veste dans cette marque ( la premire 15 ans d’utilisation), pour rien au monde je ne changerai !
Ich habe die GORE WEAR Herren C5 Jacke ausprobiert und muss sagen, dass ich wirklich begeistert bin. Die Jacke ist perfekt fr Rennradfahren und Joggen geeignet und bietet eine optimale Kombination aus Atmungsaktivitt, Schutz und Komfort.
Das Material der Jacke ist sehr leicht und angenehm zu tragen, und trotzdem bietet es einen guten Schutz vor Wind und Regen. Auch bei hheren Geschwindigkeiten auf dem Rennrad oder beim Laufen bleibt der Krper angenehm trocken und die Jacke ist sehr atmungsaktiv.
Das Design der Jacke ist schlicht und modern und lsst sich gut zu verschiedenen Sportoutfits kombinieren. Auch die Passform der Jacke ist sehr gut und bietet eine optimale Bewegungsfreiheit.
Insgesamt kann ich die GORE WEAR Herren C5 Jacke jedem empfehlen, der eine hochwertige und funktionelle Jacke fr Rennradfahren oder Joggen sucht. Die Jacke bietet eine perfekte Kombination aus Schutz, Atmungsaktivitt und Komfort und ist sowohl fr Anfnger als auch fr erfahrene Sportler geeignet.
This jacket was on offer, I already had a cycling anorak but I fancied something more breathable i. e. Gore tex.
The jacket is light weight, it packs up very small. It’s a nice fit. I’ve been using it for a few months now and I’ve been out in some serious rain and it’s been waterproof. I haven’t got too sweaty in it. And it seems to stop the cold wind getting through, fairly well.
This is now my favourite cycling jacket, I would recommend.
Positiv: die Jacke hat eine tollen Stoff, der von innen durchs schwitzen nicht nass wird.

Ich nehme die Jacke zum laufen und da ist wenigstens 1 Tasche von Vorteil.
Habe viel von Gore und bei den Laufhacken fehlen immer die Taschen .
Negativ: der Schnitt! Die rmellnge wurde vermutlich im Zoo im Orang Utan oder Gibbon Gehege genommen, denn die rmel sind einfach viiiiiel zu lang.
Im Brustbereich etwas eng, merkt man wenn man die Arme etwas zurck nimmt, spannt es.
Normalmente vesto una taglia M 1,76x70kg, questa volta ho preso una TG L giusto perch considerandolo un capo adatto pi alle temperature fresche o condizioni avverse tipo vento, pioggia ecc, avere un po’ di spazio sotto il giubbino fa sempre bene senza essere costretto come un salame imbottito.
Oggi stata una giornata con molto vento e sole temperatura esterna 16 gradi durante la prova che scendevano di qualche grado all’ombra e ancor pi con la sensazione del vento che ti fa percepire qualche grado in meno.
Il guscio ha tenuto benissimo il vento, la temperatura del mio corpo si mantenuta stabile, sotto avevo due altri layers Gore, l’intimo leggero termico a maniche lunghe, e sopra esso come intermedio un layer da running.
Mi sono sentito molto bene, direi che poi con l’offerta ne valsa la pena!
Ho comprato questo guscio per proteggermi dalla pioggia . Il materiale molto leggero e ben fatto, sicuramente molto pi traspirante di altri materiali ma comunque si suda , questo normale , rimane pur sempre una giacca antipioggia .

Testata finalmente sotto la pioggia (in alcuni momenti anche piuttosto insistente) ottima tenuta e ottima protezione dal vento.

Kann die Jacke nur weiterempfehlen. Habe sie jetzt bei jedem Wetter getragen. Selbst bei -5 Grad kein Problem. Absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Trs bien coup, entirement Gore Tex (mme sous les bras), tanche et coupe vent. Bonne tenue aux poignets et cols remontant bien dans le cou. Trs bonne visibilit dans le dos. Parfait pour les sorties en vlo par temps de pluie ou par temps froid et venteux.

La caratteristica, pro o contro che sia, la vestibilit ampia: stretta sul petto, giusta di spalle, lungo il corpo comoda, maniche molto ampie (come per ben visibile dalle foto).
Ero indeciso se tenerlo, ma alla fine il capo giusto se si esce con la pioggia, vento freddo, ecc: compre bene senza esagerare…del resto anche se si paga a peso d’oro goretex, e si sente!
Update, used on a reasonable length wet ride, about 3 hours, 75% time it rained. Stayed totally dry, wore a short sleeve jersey and arm warmers, plus a micro base layer, never to hit or to cold, 43-45F. From previous review **the fit is perfect for me. I’m 5′ 5″ about 145 – 150 pounds, little barrel chested. The fit charts say 37-38″ chest and I measure to 39″ but in testing the fit, I have a insulated vest / puffy vest underneath and a jersey, this fits just fine. I didn’t want it billowing in the wind, but at the same time its no to snug, in a riding position on the hoods this looks to be perfect. The price I got unbeatable at 70% off the retail… wowza!
Die rmel sind etwas lang aber das macht nix. Bei der Vorgngerjacke konnte man die rmel vorne mit nem Reiverschluss ffnen. Das war besser. Hier hat man gespart.
Aber alles in allem ne Kaufempfehlung wenn die Jacke im Angebot ist. 😉
Bin 165 cm / 60 kg und mit Gre S passt die Jacke exakt,
Die Jacke ist leicht, Winddicht und man ist mit den Reflexsteifen gut zu sehen.
Eine Rcken und Innentasche sind in ausreichender Gre vorhanden.
Das Material liegt angenehm am Krper an.
Pratico ciclismo su strada e avevo necessit di una giacca impermeabile, traspirante e leggera; una di quelle da indossare nelle uscite con cielo coperto in primavera/autunno (per l’inverno ho una Goretex pi pesante e resistente all’acqua). La trovo eccezionale. La sua leggerezza non la rende rigida e la sua impermeabilit assicurata. Perlomeno nelle condizioni di un maltempo (quello testato) con pioggia anche durevole ma non violenta. Forti temporali sono ancora da provare. Pagata, in sconto, 132 euro, tutti meritati. Sono alto cm 174 x 72 kg e la tg L mi veste il giusto tenendo conto che la giacca viene indossata sopra capi anche non estivi.
Ho comprato questa giacca prevalentemente per la corsa, tuttavia il taglio perfetto per la bici, molto meno per la corsa. L’impermeabilit ottima e anche la traspirabilit mi ha colpito favorevolmente. Sono 173 cm, 69 kg e 104 cm di torace, la taglia L mi stringe sul petto quando corro, in bici invece tutto bene.
En el precio que lo he comprado merece la pena. Las mangas son algo anchas y el pecho queda algo ceido pero en la postura de pedaleo queda perfecto. Los acabados se ven de calidad y puesto se nota que corta el viento perfectamente y transpira.
giacca leggera, di buon tessuto, ben rifinita che fa bene il suo dovere proteggendomi dal freddo quando vado in bici. La traspirabilit buona soprattutto se ,in relazione alla temperatura esterna e allo sforzo che si sta producendo, si ha la possibilit di modulare l’apertura della zip. Io l’adopero in questo periodo con la sola maglietta termica intima sotto e con temperature esterne 5-12 gradi e mi ci trovo bene. Non so come si comporta sotto la pioggia perch non mi sono mai trovato in questa condizione. Mi sento di consigliarlo ma badate alla taglia, tende a vestire molto attillato !
This garment is the perfect combination with a light wool base layer for 45-65 F Temps. At 6ft 205 lbs 43 chest and 36W the XL fits perfect with my merino 150 wool base layer. The arms and back flap are long which is a must for when you want to ride the drops. Great wind stopper. It is a breathable GoreTex product but keep in mind, you will still accumulate a lot of sweat which is why I’m recommending a light weight Merino wool base layer.
There are better, more storable jackets in the Gore line (like the shakedry), but with a breathtaking bump in price.
If you’re not desperate for the smallest possible jacket to store in your back pocket, I would heartily recommend the C5 Gore-Tex Active Jacket.
Waterproof, windproof, works with other layers (like their thermo jersey) to keep you comfortable in even sub-zero Celcius days.
I usually wear a size L (EU sizing) from Gore, but I had to step up to XL (EU sizing) for this jacket and I’m very very happy with it.
Note that US sizing is often different from EU. Most Gore I order from Amazon in Canada comes as the EU sizing, but occasionally, that doesn’t work out for me. What is considered XL in the EU is an L in the US, at least from most of the Gore Wear product line.
La utilizzo in bici da strada nelle giornate uggiose e provata per due ore con pioggia moderata, il corpo resta asciutto per cui impermeabile e traspirante. La giacca non fa caldo, quindi occorre un intimo idoneo alla temperatura. Unica pecca ha solo una tasca posteriore. Sono alto 181 cm x 80 kg e la taglia L mi calza benissimo. Rapporto qualit prezzo valido.
Great jacket which folds easily into back of shirt pocket. This was ordered as a men’s jackets even though the description says women’s don’t be put off it fits me perfectly
I love this jacket. I’m pretty sure I can be seen from orbit. Fits very well. Though my sweat does eventually exceed what even Goretex can exhaust, this lets me feel comfortable longer than any other rain jacket I’ve worn and even when it does start to bottle up the sweat, I remain comfortably sheltered from the warmth-sapping wind.
The jacket folds into its rear pocket for storage, but it is a very tight fit and takes some effort.
I wear a Euro size L (US size M) in all of my Gore C5 clothing. However, I had to step up to a Euro XL (US L) with this jacket, as it has zero stretch and there was no space in the sleeves or body for even a bit of airflow.
Most Gore orders from Amazon Canada ship as Euro sizing, but watch for it. Sometimes a description will say XL while you’re selecting an L from the drop-down, which may imply you’re getting the more generous US sizing and the description is telling you the Euro sizing (Europeans are apparently smaller than Americans?)
Nun, die Jacke macht das was Sie soll, mich Trocken und Warm halten, allerdings wenn es den Berg hoch geht wird es von innen feucht … mag auch an mir liegen, aber hier htte ich mir vll in der Armbeuge nen Reisverschluss gewnscht um auszudampfen 🙂
Die rmel sind extrem lang, ich kann mir beim besten Willen nicht vorstellen wer so lange Arme hat (gute 20/25cm zu lang) , denke mal das soll nee Art “Designe” sein.

I used it so far only for early springs rides, but it is amazing. It has great visibility and mainly, it’s really stop the wind, so you do not feel so cold. It saved me on couple of rides. you can easily pack it into back packet of your jersey and pull out once you will need it.
Turns out to be a near perfect cut.
It’s as well made, lightweight jacket with a rear pouch pocket. Gore-tex Active is excellent! I am a heavy sweat kinda guy and can certainly feel the difference with this. However, Gore-tex Infinium Windstopper is better breathing while giving up waterproofing.
Utilisant mon vlo tous les jours (2hr30 de pdalage journalier) pour me rendre mon travail et ce dans toutes les conditions mto, je pense pouvoir donner un avis objectif sur le produit.
Je l’ai jusqu’ prsent utilise par temps froid (-1) et aussi par temps trs trs humide. Je constate que la veste protge correctement du froid mme avec juste un maillot fin en dessous, est impermable et tout fait respirante. Le plus galement est qu’elle est super lgre et en aucun cas n’entrave les mouvements mme avec un sac dos.
Il faudra maintenant voir en t pour finir l’valuation par temps plus chaud.
J’espre qu’un jour une telle efficacit existera au niveau des gants vlo “tanches” qui atteignent vite leur limite.
Sinon comme toujours envoi rapide et soign par Amazon.

Die Jacke fllt relativ gro aus und die Arme sind recht lang. mir reicht hier L aus. Ich bin 186 gro mit knapp 83kg. Bei anderen Gore Jacken trage ich XL.
Die Jacke liegt nicht so eng an, wie z.B die Infinium C5 Thermo Jacke und ist etwas flatteriger.
Bei Touren um die 5 Grad hat sie mich sowohl vor Klte als auch vor Nsse gut geschtzt.
Ich kann sie empfehlen, finde aber die Preise hierfr etwas zu hoch. Hab sie im Angebot fr knapp 100 gekauft, viel mehr wrde ich hierfr nicht zahlen!
Ich hatte dir mir ehrlich gesagt ein kleines bisschen dicker vorgestellt. Es handelt sich bei der Jacke um eine ganz dnne “Regenjacke” mit einem sehr guten Packma. Ich muss aber gestehen, dass mir knapp 200 Euro dafr etwas zu viel sind. Qualitt mag ihren Preis haben, aber das Verhltnis hat mir persnlich nicht gepasst.
Ansonsten aber vom Schnitt und Gewicht sehr gut.
Da die Gren fr den einen oder anderen schwierig einzuschtzen sind:
Krpergre: 187cm
Gewicht: ca. 87 Kg (schlanke, normale Statur).
Gewhlte Gre: XL.
Gre passt perfekt, aber wie einige geschrieben haben: Zu gro sollte der Bauchansatz nicht sein. Dafr hlt die Jacke eben schn dicht, eben weil sie so schn formschn geschnitten ist.

Best waterproof I’ve ever had gave it a good test in heavy rain for over an hour and was totally dry after removing jacke
A very good jacket with a better fit that most cyclists will be used to. I sent back the C3 active jacket after trying this one on as it addressed the velcro cuffs on the C3 and the cut is more fitting which means it wont flap about in the wind. I am 80kg and 5’10” with athletic build and the Large fits me perfectly with room to have a base layer and jersey underneath. In the C3 active jacket I had to drop to a medium to get a similar fit but it still felt tight in places. This is as good as jacket as you will find IMO, decent VFM and guaranteed gore water resistance etc.
This jacket is so light and thin that I don’t feel any weight on me at all. Of course, the quality is good. There is no insulation, of course. It is gets cold, one needs another outer, warmer layer.
La uso per uscite in MTB e sembra resistere bene ai rovi, e non rimane macchiata dal fango, ma non l’ho ancora provata con pioggia pesante.
La giacca veste abbondante. Ho preso una L, io sono alto 1,83 per 72kg e sotto la giacca possibile mettere anche una maglia termica all’occorrenza senza sentirsi costretti. La consiglio sicuramente.
I know Gore markets this stuff as road cycling stuff but I need to underline that because I do a lot of casual cycling on road bikes, hybrids and touring rigs and the thing I noticed immediately about this is the pocket placement. In the back and nothing in the front. I miss a place to put a wallet and iPhone when I get off the bike.
Aside from that – extra long sleeves and tail perfect for cyclists, lightweight enough, not ultra lightweight but ok to wear a Camelback with, definitely breathable and waterproof so great as a top shell in cool weather too.
But the sizing is a bit of a mystery. A size medium soft-shell jacket fits perfectly under a size small C5 top shell.
Yup – I bought two of each so I know it wasn’t just a fluke 😉
Great jacket at a bargain price. Fits great on the body but the arms seem a little long.
