Very comfortable, very warm for weight/thickness, looks very good (to me), only washed it once so far and has come out well, not yet used it for anything energetic, so don’t know how well it “breathes”

I’m 6ft and 88Kg and the XL fitted me perfectly.

Great top for colder weather, I wear this as a base layer under a gore tex jacket and it keeps me very comfortable down to -5 degrees. Excellent wicking properties and fantastic level of comfort. Had this for 4 months now and it’s in perfect condition, I run 5-6 times a week. When the temperature is 10 degrees or more I find myself getting too hot and wear a thinner baselayer. Excellent produc

This is a good base layer. Comfortable, warm and seems durable.

The second one of these that I’ve bought. I got the first 20 years ago and it’s still my go-to base layer for cold weather. Nice and tight around the kidneys, which keeps me warm rather than other tops which let the draught in.

Looks good and warm great as a base layer and smart enough on its own and well made.

The cloth is excellent, but the size XXL is a true XXL so, I am 1,86 mt or 6″ tall, trained body/fitness (90 kg) and this was too big.
    Excellent and really comfortable.
The same pants/trousers in XXL fitted really good, just a little large, but excellent I am using them a little loose and they are great in warm and comfo

his is a good compliment to a ski jacket that does not have heavy insulation. It fits well and the way it’s constructed you don’t feel any wool ‘scratchness’. 6’1″, 175 lbs 40-41″ chest and L fits well. I compared with another brand mid layer made with only synthetic materials and this one seems to better control your body temperature. the red is a bit more orange than red but somehow goes well with my HH Alpha 3.0 which is alert red. Not that you want to be matchy matchy anyway…

Great product! Sizing is perfect, I’m 6’2 245lbs and the extra large is perfect top and bottom, not too snug and not too loose. A little itchy at first, but I’m sure a washing will help with that. I put them on after they sat on my cold porch for a bit from delivery, they are holding the cold, so I’m sure they will hold the heat just as well. Nice quality and very nice stitching. Would buy again.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLove these – nice and warm, very comfortable.
I’ve worn it twice though, and the flashes (chevrons) on the sleeves are already peeling off. They’re just stuck on plastic. I might have to just putt them all off, which is a shame. Otherwise it’s 5*.

Great reliable brand which always does what it says on the tin. Merino wool really does its job at keeping you warm and its super soft. Good to note that the fabric is nicely softened without that itchy feel.
The navy colour is very dark, almost black and the red is vibrant which really makes it stand out and look stylish.
Fits as expected and has washed really well!
This really has been amazing out on the cold winter morning cycles as this layer doubles up as a base layer and top underneath the waterproofs. No more feeling bulky. Half zip up has kept neck toasty too.
    Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersForm fitting 225g base layer. The merino is the softest and most comfortable i’ve come acrosss. We normally pack a few base layers whilst away on our outdoor, climbing and trekking lifestyle.

This one is made of a dual layer with the waffle-stitched merino fabric, to the outer. The hemming overall, is excellent, even and overlocked. The cold metal zip will not be felt on your skin, as it’s lined with merino too.
The fabric has a good amount of ‘stretch’ to it for added comfort for prolonged wear.

I can recommend this merino base layer without reservation.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAnyone who spends a lot of time outdoors in the colder months, especially for exercise purposes should invest in this top. It offers the functionality of a base layer whilst also being enough to wear on its own for outdoors runs. I’ve found it has great moisture wicking capabilities and helps maintain body heat during the colder season. The material also dries rather quickly which again just aids comfort.

In terms of the price, it is steep but you’re paying not only for the quality but for the name. If you’re already contemplating this item then price probably isn’t too much of an issue and I’d recommend it for any serious outdoors runners/cyclists. It’s a good investment that keeps away the winter chill!
