Really pleased I made the decision to go for this and not a free standing bar my girls have used this loads already and it there for them permanently without taking space in the house ! Assembly was fairly easy, obviously a little effort to dig holes and cement bur worth it and worked out cheaper than the other options I was looking at !

Great product that’s very sturdy when in situ in the ground. I got some plastic pipe in the ground to fit the metal tubes into and it seems to work a treat. I did pay around 100 so I’d say not value for money at that price but it dropped down to 46 after I’d already bought it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis was a birthday present for my daughter. After looking at lots I went with this and I’m really pleased with it. Took advice from another review and got 2inch weld pipe from city plumbing so I can adjust the lower bar as she grows. Took 6 bags of postcrete to secure the posts. Assembly was easy enough but definitely need 2 people.

Really good fun ... Lots of digging

Brilliant for kids of all ages. A bit fiddly to install, but once it is done, there’s nothing more to do. We used a metal sheath for installation so that we can remove the bars if we wish and then replace them

We concreted this gym bar in our garden in August 2016 for our daughters 10th birthday. This bar is still going strong 4 years on in August 2020, only a bit of colour fade but has been well used by her and her younger brother and friends. Only paid 35 so didn’t expect it to be this good !!

    Kids love these!
If you want to take them out of ground to mow the lawn etc get some piping like the other comments mention warning FIND and order the plastic down pipe first it avoids the children waiting ages for them to be put in !

Bought for my 7 year old bday as she is obsessed with gymnastics. Dig hole 35cm x 35cm. 50cm deep. Got my pipe from city plumbing 52mm pipe. Perfect tight fit. Did first hole and left pipe in whilst drying with 3 bags of postcrete in. Once dried assembled fully so I knew where other hole is to be dug and did same again. Make sure spirit level used all the time to keep everything straigh

We did struggle with the instructions and it should have been fairly straight forward. However this is not a negative review, my kids 7 and 9 love it. We bought it cheaper on an open box type deal, the bars were not damaged and just missing a washer, very good deal.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThese have been absolutely brilliant. Our girls have been using them constantly since we installed them. Putting them up does take a while- you need to dig 60cm deep holes for each pole. That takes a surprisingly long time! It took a whole bag of Postcrete in each hole to cement them into place. (Postcrete is magic- you just half fill the hole with water and then empty the bag of concrete in and it sets in a few minutes). Now that they’re in, they feel really solid, and I habe no worries that they will fall over while the kids are on them. Build quality is good, and all the bits were in the bag. I reckon it took two of us about an hour to put them in and I waited until the following day before use, just to be sure.

Can’t fault – follow the instructions for how deep to put the poles into the ground and you will have no problems – had ours up for a month now and they have undergone some serious use and testing from my kids and they are still as sturdy as the day we put them in – we used postcrete to put them in and they were good to go after 24 hours

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a very good item, I got it sent to the house last week and I decided to start it in the afternoon. I did have trouble with one of the nuts that was welded inside one of the blue posts. The threads were crossed in the nut. I managed to get hold of a M8 tap set and I got the thread issue sorted. What you need to know before you purchase this item that you have to dig a deep hole in order for the posts to sit in securely as this is needed for the blue posts in order for them to deal with the stress of a load being put on them. I’m not complaining about this but it is needed for it to work correctly. You need sufficient concrete/postcrete to secure in the posts. I let mine set for a day and managed to tidy it up early the next day ready for use. Within an hour our 2 children were enjoying the new purchase.

Golden Review Award: 52 From Our UsersI bought these for the kids almost 4 years ago now and set them in concrete in the garden. I used 5 bags of postcrete and they only had to be supported for 10 minutes before they firmed up. Each screw/bolt has a cover and they have all lasted well with no signs of wear or rust. They has stood the test of time and are used by my gymnastics-mad girls frequently, as well as their friends. I even get up on them on occasion and I am 85kg (I’m carry a little holiday weight – don’t judge)
As you can see from the photo, they are still in place and every screw and cover is still in tact. I have built a surround for these made from rubber matting that you can get from the bigger DIY stores, placed over sand. This gives an easier landing after any unfortunate falls.

3 year review - Have lasted and are used all the time - great investme

Seems daunting the digging and cement but after sweating over the 3 holes built them up wacked them in spirit level on top . Threw the quick dry cement powder in then water on top.
    Job done .
Had to put more cement around the post as larger kids on it i.e me and friend after lots of gin.. but took 10 mins
My daughter and half the street love these best buy Ever !!

Great product, my daughter loves them. Would be good if they came with poles to cement into the ground so that you can take the actual gymnastics bars in and out of the ground.

I bought this for my ten year granddaughter for Christmas but as yet the weather hasn’t been suitable for her dad to cement it into the ground. Hopefully now it’s starting to get warmer it will soon be installed. I’m sure my granddaughter will get a lot of fun from using it as she’s very keen on gymnastics. I bought this at a good price so am very pleased with it.

I was very worried purchasing this items as a lot of problems with missing fittings but my daughter really wanted it for Christmas so I went ahead and bought one. I was really glad I did she loves it and all the parts were in the box, some hidden in the tubes but all there, very happy with purchase and a very happy daughter.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFantastic purchase and soooo sturdy!! We cemented pipe into the ground so that the bars could be removed if needed. Only issue was that there is a big picture of the bars on the front of the box so when it was delivered my daughters birthday surprise was no longer a surprise as she saw the picture.

This was a present for my twin daughters 9th birthday. They seem to like it so far. Looks as it does in the picture. My only complaint is that the instructions to assemble the bars are in every language except English. Also be prepared to use a lot of concrete.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersTook a bit of effort to fit into the ground. Needed to dig 3 holes and concrete them in, so took me a couple of hours asi needed tocheck on where cables /drains ran. As others have recommended i used some 50mm plastic tubing that these uprights slid into easily – means i can take them down over winter/ when we need the space/ cut the grass etc.
The instructions to put them together are pretty clear, just make sure you look at how the ‘swivel’ joint to the 3rd bar connects, not really a problem, but make sure you put the bolt in correctly to ensure it doesn’t flap about.
The bars are well coated and come with all the bolts needed to put together. The 3rd bar can be mounted at any angle from about 85 degrees ether side of the two fixed bars.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAlthough it takes about 2 days to set it securely in the ground, once it is in the kids use it all the time so just have a little patience in the beginning. It comes in very useful at party times, summer, school holidays and for every day practice. It is not the easiest thing to adjust but it is a very secure piece of equipment. I ordered the single one for my friend because she didn’t have the space for this one. Please bear in mind the actual space required for running up to it and coming off it safely. We have had ours for just over a year and it still looks as good as new. Would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersExcellent quality gymnastics bars for kids, absolutely no questions over the strength of these bars and I expect they’ll easily last and eventually be outgrown by the children. I’m close to the recommended weight limit of 100kg myself and did give them a little test 🙂 They feel very sturdy and at no point did I feel that they were close to breaking or bending.
I have concreted three plastic tubes into the ground into which I can insert/remove the bars for cutting the grass…it still takes two people to take the bars in/out of position though.

I bought this for my granddaughter. It wasn’t too hard to put up. However, I haven’t tried moving the bars so can’t comment on how easy that would be. I dug the holes smaller than recommended and it still seems very sturdy.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersGreat product. Very good quality. Came on time. Would use this supplier again and recommend.
Wrote to company suggesting a couple of improvements. They are German, I am not. I think it went well.
One bar has to be fitted as you assemble the upright poles, the other can be fitted later. If the anchor bolts that hold the cross bars to the poles were made the same, the poles could be fitted and removed without having to dismantle the entire structure. Just requires a few less fitting of one sort and one of the other. The other problem was that the upright poles have to be screwed to one another and really require slightly elongated holes to give a little bit of leeway. Two minor problems that would make the product perfect. As I say, making the poles adjustable after assembly would mean they could be adjusted for different people without a major refit. Having worked out how much sand, cement and gravel I would require to set the poles in the ground I had to double it and then use whole house bricks to wedge the poles in place while I put in the concrete. One tip, if you are setting this in a lawn, cut the turf out with a 50mm deep root, put to one side and put back over the concrete. The grass will continue to grow right up to the poles. Good luck with the holes!!!

Bought these bars for my 7 yr old daughter. She’s a keen gymnast and these bars are ideal for her to practise on.
    She loves them.

You need to concrete them into the ground, but once that’s done, they’re very strong and sturdy. You can adjust the height of the horizontal bars too.
Great product at a good price, would recommend

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent quality bars. A bit fiddly to put together and siting them would have been easier with two people. If you are tackling this job on your own as I was I would first plot where you need to dig your first two holes. Join two uprights together with both the horizontal bars as this makes them much more stable and stops them twisting during installation. Place them in your holes and set them in ‘post crete’ after checking both horizontal and vertical with a good spirit level. Allow about 20mins to set firm. You will now have to remove the top two sections in order to remove the mid section horizontal bar. This is a bit of a waff on but is worth the effort to ensure that the first two bars are set plumb. Now you simply lay the horizontal bar along the ground to measure the position of your third hole.
If you follow the instructions to the letter regarding depth and size of hole you will need six bags of post Crete. I originally only bought three and had to go for more!

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersPurchased after reading all the excellent reviews. Initially couldn’t decide between the single bar and the double bars but these were on offer at a cheaper price so bit of a no brainer if you’ve got the space. More than one child can play on them at the same time and the bars can be set at different heights. Used 6 bags of fast drying cement and fully set within a few hours. Unfortunately they don’t come with any pipe that could be inserted in to cement to allow the bars to be removed if necessary but item still deserves 5 stars. We bought a plastic pipe as recommended in previous reviews to set in to the cement but the bars didn’t fit in to it, you’d need a made to order pipe which is almost the cost of the bars so we just set them straight in to concrete as our daughter were so desperate to use them. Good quality and design. Arrived very quickly, well packaged and no missing items. Great for the summer holidays! We have a gym mat underneath for some protection against falls.

This is high quality super sturdy bar! Picture doesn’t really portray it well.
I didn’t look at measurements so it’s a lot bigger than I expected which is ace… We have the space but make sure you look at this if space is tight.
It can bend as in you do not need to have it in a straight line you can have it angled. (hope that makes sense – the bars to spin on do not bend!)
You do need to cement it into the ground which I thought was a bit of a pain. I had a swing set that didn’t need to be so assumed the same… but I want the kids to be safe so have done so. Cannot comment on whether it would sink or anything if you do not cement it in. It comes with anchor bars.
My partner and family were very impressed with the product as they didn’t know what to expect really. Would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGood substancial bars. Two-man job to install to align the uprights correctly in concrete. We purchased a length of 2″ downpipe to set in the concrete bases, so if the bars need to be relocated at a future date it wouldn’t be a big job – It’s also easier if you need to alter height of horizontal bars as the other option it to remove all the 12 fixing bolts that connect the top red sections to the blue base sections. Neighbour loved it as a birthday present.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy daughter is gymnastics mad these bars are fab they were not to bad to put together if you have someone who is good at those kind of things ! Have to make sure you dig 3 holes the same and quite deep then they only took 24 hrs to set in the cement ! The only thing is if you want to adjust the height of one of the bars which my daughter did then that’s a bit of a palava . My daughter and her friend have hours of fun on these ? Money well spe

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThe product is exactly what I wanted for my daughters and is well designed. Unfortunately one of the Yellow cross bars is faulty. The square form on each end did not align so when assembled it causes the 2 upright poles to twist away from the vertical. However, although Amazon could not send replacement parts, they did offer a partial refund so I could source a replacement part direct,, which the manufacturer can supply. The girls love the bars, using 10cm deep crash mats to give them confidence to explore new exercises.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersBrilliant set of bars, solid, well made and well designed and for the money superb. They do however take some putting up especially if your ground is very clay and flint based like ours. Deep digging is required and if ever there was a piece of kit that proved the old engineers’ paradigm “Measure twice, cut once” it’s this. You do need to really take your time, plan it and measure measure measure. My mate got the same bars same time and he rushed his to ‘beat me to it’ but in doing so, he had to redo one of the posts (how I laughed) because he hadnt measured properly. And however many bags of postcrete you think you need, get 50% more.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersFantastic item, we bought it for our daughter who is an avid gymnast. We are trialling it without any concrete and have made sure the supporting poles have gone a good meter in the ground – so far so good. Our daughter was out in the garden yesterday at 6.30am practising her moves and she has not left it alone since – it’s still solid in the ground! It’s a great idea that the bar can be moved to differing heights – the only down side is that my older son has now decided he wants one – and we bought the last one :O( !!
