Keyboard is fine. Sturdy and feels very nice to type one.
Their NGenuity app which allows you to customise it requires you to manually uldate your firmware so a bit of googling is required.
Great! Been using for a few months now and it’s nice for typing and light gaming!! The only thing is I don’t like that you can see the colour of the switches as it effects the RGB.
Great RGB, just make sure that if you get this keyboard, you also get some new key caps, as the stock ones are abs. The ones that I have in the picture are hyperX pudding keycaps. Great piece of hardware, not so great software.

fantastica
Great keyboard this is a combination of brown switches with the sound notched down a bit and they feel really great. Awesome typing experience and gaming, goes without saying. All in all a space saver and comes with the hyperx software enabled. One thing that i do miss, is an arm support for this.

HyperX makes some of the best PC peripherals out there and this one does not disappoint. The build quality is amazing. I really like their self made Aqua switches, they're much smoother than MX Browns, and I feel they're a step up from the Razer Orange switches on my last board. The only downside is that the keycaps aren't PBT, and HyperX doesn't sell a separate set of PBT keycaps, so you'll have to go out and find a set of your own if the PBT keycaps are important to you.

Looks beautiful, all aluminum, keys: soft, comfortable, quiet and fast. RGB colors Looks gorgeous. I like it!
Fantastic purchase. Replaced Ant's TKL blue switch keyboard, which was just too loud. I got the Aqua switches, they are tactile without been noisy. Needless to say this doesn't look cheap like the Ant keyboard with fonts, and ugly light effects.

This keyboard is just so satisfying and ambient. I purchased those pbt white pudding keys separately worth 2.4k from local store. Overall its a 10/10 for this range and quality is superb been using it for 5 montha no complaints so fa
I bought this about a month ago to replace my go membrane keyboard, a long due upgrade, I type a lot and game on the side, I watched a few reviews and knew this was a good board with some minor problems, I got lucky and bought it for 70 on amazon warehouse and it came in the box and was perfect apart from a bit of dust.
About the board
Pros
-> Built like a tank, you could probably kill someone with it
-> the aqua switches are amazing, they are tactile but soo damn smooth
-> I’m not a big rgb guy but damn, it’s impressive, it’s super bright and the floating keycap design is clean
->the Function + f key secondary function are very useful
Cons
-> The stabilisers are very rattly but can be fixed if you put a bit of card between the stab housing and the aluminium plate, my implementation is a bit messy on space bar but you can do better than that.
-> the keycaps are double shot abs and are a fingerprint oil magnet and get slippy after a while, this is that bad and a cheap Aftermarket keycap set would be a great add on
-> the ingenuity software is a Microsoft store exclusive and is fairly basic for such a big pheripherals company,
Overall I would definitely recommend thus board if you are too get keycaps for it and do something with the stabilisers.
Overall 9/10
Fantastic all rounder switch.
The HyperX Aqua Switches are a solid switch.
The best qualities of linear and tactile in one switch.
Smoothness of linear with a very slight tactile bump. They’re also not super clacky making them a delight for gaming and typing alike.
Simple, no thrills design with all the usual media keys. Software is very easy to use, not as many effects as some RGB keyboards out there but 3 lighting profiles that save to the board means there’s no need to run the software 24/7 wasting precious system resources.
This keyboard might cost a decent amount and I’m no keyboard professional, but i bought this keyboard after building my computer and it works phenomenally. Nice keyboard w/detachable cable(not wireless but I knew that) and I use it for both gaming and school work. Been using it for about two months and no problems yet, but it is getting a little dirty and it didn't come with any special key remover but other than that if you just want a decent keyboard to use for gaming and school it works just fine! Bonus it also has three different rgb modes and I’m not sure if it says it in the product description or not but thought I should share. I included a video but it just shows sound for people interested, and the three rgb modes I mentioned.

Preis-Leistung einfach top.
Good game keyboard
This is my son’s new pet. According to the feedback from him, this keyboard is the best keyboard he ever used. 🙂
According to me, the design is ergonomic and the keys are bright and sturdy. The rainbow effect looks cool too. Most importantly, this keyboard is only <100$s :). My son gave 5 stars for his new keyboard and he would like to recommend this to his friends too.
HyperX Tastiera Gaming Meccanica RGB Alloy Origins Core US
I got this keyboard after spending years on various laptop and cheap membrane keyboards, and the difference is night and day. The tactile feeling is so satisfying, it makes typing real fun. At the same time the sound level is not obnoxious at all, but rather adds to the satisfying feeling. Software is meh, but once you configured the pattern you want, you don't need to use it anymore, as the settings for 3 profiles can be stored on the keyboard. Overall, an excellent product.

I dont know what a good or bad mechanical keyboard feels like. So if this is your first step away from membrane this will blow you away. The weight of it coming out of the box was enough to make me happy. Feels so sturdy, and well built. I would say its probobly twice the weight of my previous keyboard and around 3/4 of the size. So thats always a good sign. Switches feel amazing.
I watched a few hundred reviews before i bit the bullet. The reason i went for this keyboard is because it appeared in several peoples top 5, sometimes reaching the number one spot. The aqua switches are “apparantly” amazing, even if you are used to mechanical keyboards, or at least one review lead me to think that. Lights are stunning, even in a fully lit room. The software gives you so many ways of customising to make it your own.
All i can say is if your here reading reviews and you’ve never had mechanical, get this you will not regret it. I’m sure there are better on the market, but at this price point it would be hard to beat.
I don’t even have anything left to say, ive just enjoying typing on this keyboard so much.
Perfect Keyboard just Wish They Had On Board Light Settings
This keyboard is amazing. I use it predominately for typing and do very little gaming with it. The response is great and it’s not super loud. If I had to complain (and this is absolutely splitting hairs) the actuation force needed is slightly high to where my hands get a little tired. Not a real problem were talking maybe 5% tougher than I’d like. The colors are great the only real complaint I have is the software that controls the lights. It’s only available through the windows marketplace. This is problematic for people who, like me, use windows ltsc and don’t have access to it. There’s no other way to download the software. On top of that there are reports that the software can brick your keyboard which is enough to make me avoid it all together. Being able to just use function keys to adjust the lights would have been great. The keyboard has three built in settings but they’re quite limited. It’s a shame that this beautiful well built keyboard’s most advanced color setting is rgb fade…
Anyways this is an amazing keyboard and I wish they hadn’t phoned it in with the light settings. If I had to guess it was probably easier to produce the keyboards then figure out the lighting on the software side after the fact. It’s a shame. Still for just typing and limited rgb it’s a beast!
Excelente calidad.
Excelente compra.
CLICKITY CLACK !!
I needed an upgrade from the cheap keyboard that came with my desktop when I purchased it. This keyboard blew my freaking mind! The switches are crazy smooth (aqua) and for a mechanical keyboard it’s fairly quiet and smooth.
What about the RGB you ask? Oooooweeee!
Super cool. Very customizable and bright. Some decent effects you can add, with three presets that are easily interchangeable.
On of my favourite settings is the one that looks like fire, the name eludes me at the moment. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, mid-ranged, ten-keyless, mechanical beast keyboard.
Got this keyboard for Christmas but didn’t realise it was a US layout and not the UK one which apparently isn’t available at all. Unfortunately that isn’t something I could live with so regretably returned it and will look for an alternative. That aside, if you’re happy to live with that then it’s a lovely keyboard and the RGB is great on it. Overall I was disappointed with the layout so will drop a star as this is Amazon UK but the keyboard itself is great if you’re happy enough to go with the US layout.
Great TKL gaming keyboard
Tried both RED and AQUA versions. Both are very good for gaming and daily typing. RED switches are a little bit more silent and faster response, but if you prefer tectile click the Aqua is the only choice.
USB C cable is included and can be disconnected. This is a nice feature compared to attached cables. RGB colors are nice and programmable.
This keyboard is more expensive than other mechanical keyboards but I highly recommend this one if you are looking for a TKL mechanical keyboard for gaming.
I’ve tried cherry blue’s, cherry brown’s and cherry red’s. I thought why not give the hyperx aqua’s a try, and they feel amazing. They feel a lot more tactile than cherry brown’s, and they feel like they require more force to initially press down, but I love that, it feels great. They’re super smooth and the keys are very sturdy. The whole keyboard build quality is excellent and feels very premium. I have replaced the ABS keycaps with the hyperx pudding black keycaps and I wasn’t sure at first, but I’ve grown to love them. The original ABS keycaps look very clean, however the PBT upgrade is nice. However, the only negative’s I have are that it is in the US layout (so no pound sign key) and there is the useless menu key on the keyboard (although you can rebind all keys with the, easy to use software). Another thing that wouldn’t apply to everyone is the LED’s are amazing, apart from the spacebar, where if you’re considering buying the hyperX pudding keycaps the spacebar looks a bit darker as there is only one LED bulb in the middle (this is however very much to be expected tbh). Overall 10/10 keyboard, feel amazing and look’s clean as hell.
I do like i
At first I was kind of disappointed at this keyboard. I also have the Razer BlackWidow Lite (orange switches) which just felt better. In time, I got to like this one more.
Even though I read that both the Razer Orange switches and HyperX Aqua are comparable (to Cherry MX Browns), these are in fact much softer (click easily).
The software is nice… You can customize the keyboard a lot. But none of that is worth something if you’re not running in the background…
In addition, do note: the keyboard went a little crazy on me (turning on and off and typing by itself). I hope things will continue working properly.
Amazing Keyboard! if you need a new keyboard and aren’t looking to pay 200+ this keyboard is perfect. The software is easy to set up and very user friendly, very customisation for the LEDs. The rigidity of the board is ideal and doesn’t bend under any pressure. You will not get a better keyboard for 100!!
Quick delivery, amazing product.
Keycaps, stabilization, and sound:
Not sure why people are saying the keycaps are bad because for me coming from a g213 membrane keyboard the keycaps are much higher quality, the stabilization is almost perfect, and the sound is great.
RGB Lighting:
The RGB lighting is stunning with many effects and is actually really really bright, I can use it with broad daylight coming through my window and have it still be very visible.
Switches:
The switches are soo smooth, much smoother than any cherry or gateron switch I’ve ever tried, I’d say that this aqua switch is a combination of cherry red and gateron brown because it’s soo smooth but you can still feel a bump.
Build Quality:
The build quality is also amazing, very solid full aluminum body which also weights a fair bit.
Software (complaints):
My only problem is the software (which will get fixed in the future), to use macros or any key rebinding you need to constantly have the NGENUITY program open as a window, fortunately, you can save lighting to one of 3 onboard profile, but I’ve been having issues with glitched profiles and NGENUITY crashing.
Cost:
As the keyboard only costs $140 Australian at the time of writing, there is basically zero competition with this keyboard, and is, in my opinion, the best bang for your buck option currently available.
Overall an amazing keyboard which I don’t see a reason not to get, the only downside is the software which is still in beta and will get fixed completely in the future.
I've been looking for a replacement for my Corsair Strafe with Cherry MX Browns that had a small size frame with the same switches as the browns or something that is very similar and feels the same. The aqua switches by HyperX feel almost identical and are absolutely amazing to type on. With a smaller size frame, that means there's more room on your desk, but even if you want a full sized keyboard, I highly recommend getting the full sized version of this keyboard. The colors are bright and look great, with the black metal backing of the keyboard feeling very sturdy, but it does get dirty frequently, but that's only a minor drawback that's expected from metal backings. The keyboard is a great choice for anyone looking into something small and function with a great mechanical switch. The only drawback I have is the lighting and macro software HyperX offers, which crashes every time it starts up, otherwise 6/5 stars if possible.

This is an mazing keyboard, came perfectly as described. I got the tactile aqua keys, and they click enough for the satisfaction along with not being too loud. The braided cable seems really sturdy. The mobility is amazing with the modular cable design. Who needs a numpad right?

I like how you can save RGB in the keyboard memory and you don't need to open the app everytime. The material is better than even my razer huntsman. I like the switches . It's a tactile that has a force as much as the optical switches. Sometimes if you play some fps games like Valorant your fingers will get tired after couple games, so optical switches are a bit better in this. But in everything else. It's just amazing

Best value tenkeyless mechanical keyboard
The keyboard has mettalic body soild build
USB c to usb braided cable
Portable
Click sound right and responsive
Value for money high performance keyboard
Rgb with mechanical aqua switch .
The RGB brightness is nice, and the aqua switches feel amazing. There was a slight problem trying to setup the light presets but if you look it up its way easier. Its pretty small so it could fit almost anywhere. The switches feel faster than normal ones.

Lots of "board ting", super bright, 7/10
Pros: Ridiculously bright RGB with a supporting app to customize it
Solid, all aluminum housing
Nice braided cable
Cons: TING TING TING, the amount of board reverb is noticeable in a normal working environment
Hard to take apart to modify or repair, feels like the PCB is glued to the case.
USB c port is arguably on the wrong side of the board
app has to be running for RGB settings to stick or you can save it to three…..save macros…three….
For this price point you can get a much better specced out mech board with wireless/bluetooth/etc. Though the metal case is nice, it would be nicer if they have dampened/deadened it from the factory OR make it easier to teardown so the customer could have done these mobs.
As for the Aqua switches. Not my style either. Linear for life!
Aqua switches are silky smooth.
I have tried several mechanical keyboards over quarantine. For multiple different reasons I could not find a brand/switch combination that I really truly loved.
This was much cheaper than the other options and it has proven that money doesn’t always buy you happiness 🙂
The aqua switches are smoother than browns but still give a great tactile bump. The backlighting per key is brighter than any other keyboard I’ve used. I paired this with some Glorious Aura keycaps and absolutely love the way it looks!
This is the keyboard you want, 10/10 recommended.
Really nice sounding and responsive keys, good for gaming. The software is a bit sucky but that does not bother me that much. RGB on the keys is nicely configurable and has a range of effects ranging on the scale from the subtle to full on unicorn vomit. For typing text I think I’ll stick to my keyboard with mx blues though. All in all, a good, satisfying, well featured and well built keyboard.
My new daily driver. Set aside a (60%) Anne Pro 2 after it began to fail and opted for a TKL. Nice fit and finish and the "Aqua" switches are quite pleasant. Not a gamer. Modest monochrome lighting works for me and it works very well. (Software is still in beta, but improvements continue to be made. Setups are saved to keyboard memory and firmware updates are available).

i have had this keyboard for a little while now and it is amazing the switches are really nice. The one downside is with the software you have to have it open for it to run. But you can change some settings for when you start your pc it will minimize to your tray as soon as you start your pc.

Great ten keyless keyboard but with some unfortunate drawbacks.
This keyboard feels really nice to type on. Its keycap it uses is in between a MX Red and a MX Brown; I like both switches and this is a perfect balance between the two. The brightness with the lights gets pretty bright but not overwhelmingly bright.
Now the drawbacks, the software for the RGB illumination is super bad. One, you have to download it from the Microsoft Store, and have it run in the background constantly. You’re also extremely limited on what you can customize; its nowhere near as good as Corsairs iCue or Razers Synapse customizations. Just recently, HyperX pushed an update that removed effects for you to use.
Overall its a decent keyboard for the price.
This is my first mechanical keyboard and I love it! I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and it’s been great! The reason I chose this keyboard is because it’s smaller than a regular keyboard and all the keys light up completely unlike others I found - by that I mean in the question mark key, the question mark and the forward slash are lit which isn’t the case in a lot of keyboards. You can change how bright you want the keys too and it is super bright! I definitely recommend this keyboard

I am really enjoying this keyboard. It's solidly built, isn't overly loud while still producing the nice clickity sound, and feels nice to type on. I'm not thrilled about the software being an app and not downloadable from the manufacturer, but it's not a deal breaker for me. The software also took me some time to get working correctly, but I eventually figured it out.

Great RGB TKL Mechanical Keyboard!
This is my second mechanical keyboard. Switched from Razer Blackwidow TE Chroma V2 (Yellow Switches) was I wanted a more clicky keyboard.
At the price point of around S$125, this is cheaper compared to the local retailers that are offering.
It offers RGB backlit, aluminum body frame and several adjustable heights. I have swapped them for double shot pudding caps from HyperX, you can see the difference from the photos.
The only downside is that there is no wrist that comes along with the keyboard and HyperX does not have one for TKL size.
Overall, I feel that my purchase is of satisfactory.
Excellent TKL produc
Could not be happier with this TKL type keyboard, as I have always used a full size.
As a web developer, it’s great to have the extra space on my desk. The construction & quality is excellent! Feels very premium and sturdy. The switches (aqua) provide solid feedback and are a pleasure to use.
Only thing I wish is that the wired port connection was on the left side of the keyboard, but that’s minor.
Don’t look any further for a TKL, you won’t find a better one anywhere near this price point!
Great Keyboard with great switches
I love these custom switches from HyperX. I got the tactile Aqua switches, and they are just very very good. Very good feedback and solid feel. Travel is just about right for me.
Pro: Build quality is amazing, the slim aluminum base is very sturdy and looks premium.
Con: the hyperX software is quite basic compared to other brands such as Logitech/Razer etc. Needs lots of improvement.
Suggestion: Looking forward to any Wireless update or White version of this keyboard!!!!
I've been looking for a budget keyboard for a while and this one just ticks all the boxes for me. Got the tactile switches (aqua) and for me, they are a joy to use. I also upgraded it with a set of pudding keycaps and it really makes a difference in appearance. One thing some ppl might not like is that the USB-c cable is plugged in on the right side but for me, this is not important.

I watched a lot of reviews that said the key caps sucked so I bought a set of new ones to give with it in advance, but the originals were fine honestly. They feel nice and soft compared to my previous cheap keyboards caps, though they were louder than the ones I replaced them with(hyper x pudding).

This is a first-rate keyboard! It does not drift, it says put. It's made of solid materials and feels definitely heavy enough for desktop use. The keys have a solid click response and you know what key you have depressed. The backlighting is STRONG and very visible with a dizzying array of patterns to chose from. The thumbwheel on the top right is a nice touch. We have definitely used the WASD keys on this to a large extent. Would definitely recommend this keyboard to a gamer!

This keyboard is amazing. It is made all out of aluminum, so it is solid and sturdy. The switches are great, I would highly recommend them for gaming. the feel is great. It is a mixture between linear and tactile, and the keystrokes are very smooth. I have the pudding keycaps, and the whole thing looks amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

Best Mechanical RGB keyboard in budget. If you are a programmer go with tenkeyless keyboard unless you are into Esports Gaming. The Hyperx ngenuity software is Excellent providing everything to customize this keyboard. The keyboard has 3 onboard memory buttons, to upload the customisation. (Do update the software). The Aqua Switches are perfect for programmers as they are tactile and have less sound , almost same as Cherry MX Brown.
amazing to type and game on. feels like butter and construction is super solid, no ting or ringing from inside the board opposed to my previous one, which was an e-element z88. the lighting is SUPER bright as well. the only thing i will say that needs fixing about this product is the software, it doesnt work at all when you close it and the on-board storage doesnt work. i know it's still in beta but please make an effort ASAP to fix this Hyperx. overall an amaing board and i would 100% recommend this to other people

Troppo bella
I finally decided to get a mechanical keyboard after much persuasion and went for the HyperX Alloy Origins Core, and man did it come through for me. The RGB colors are way brighter and more vibrant than my brother's Corsair out of the box, and it looks even more stunning since I installed the HyperX pudding keycaps. It feels and sounds really good though I hardly have any experience with other mechanical keyboards so I can't give a comparison in that regards. The software comes with several RGB light presets that you can apply to individual keys of your choosing and mix and match in order to get your own unique pattern. Build quality is solid too. Overall a very well-designed and well-made product that I won't hesitate to recommend to friends.

Ottima
The keyboard is really good, small, no problems really, the only downside I had was using the HyperX app for changing the lighting, it doesn’t seem to have many options but other than that not a single issue, this is more of a nitpick problem though.
Ive only had my keyboard for about a month but i think its the best bang for your buck. I also replaced my keycaps with the HyperX PBT doubleshot pudding and it look so good.

I'm super against pre-built keyboards, especially Cherry Mx as it's super overrated. For the price, I think this keyboard is absolutely amazing if you want a keyboard with super-fast, super smooth, tactile switches. I bought the variant with HyperX Aqua switches and it's the only variant I recommend tbh. It's really well built for a TKL. It's small and has a nice thin body with no flexing. It features a detachable USB-C cable in case you want to take it around or if you want to swap it out for a aviator cable. I recommend this although the software is cluttered garbage and it's on the Microsoft Store only.

One of the best gaming keyboards I've used! This is amazing from the key-feel to the lights. It's everything I hoped it would be. I especially love the macro customization!

Do not hit the “Add to Cart” button until you read this review! This is an honest review based on my own personal experience using the HyperX Alloy Origins Core keyboard for more than two months. Do not get me wrong, overall, it is a really good keyboard, however, I think it’s worth noting its pluses as well as its problems before you make your final decision and hit the “Add to Cart” button. This keyboard has a lot of functionality; however, it also has a few issues.
There are definitely many pros for the HyperX keyboard. In my opinion, it has a lot of functionality and is clearly worth the price. First, the LED lights on this keyboard are really cool! They are individually controlled and allow you to easily change the lighting effects. And believe me, when I say it, these lights are much nicer than you would expect. It is as if you have your own personal mini light show! Second, the more compact Tenkeyless (TKL) size fits nicely on my desk and gives me significantly more room to work with. That means less mess! Woohoo! I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone who likes the TKL style. Third, the tactile aqua switches are also really nice. Additionally, on the issue of whether you want linear or tactile switches, that will be entirely up to your personal preference. However, a general rule of thumb that I use is if you will be typing documents and gaming get tactile, and if you are just going to use it for gaming only, get linear. Fourth, the all-aluminum body design is sturdier than most keyboards. Fifth, because HyperX frequently updates their software, it provides the user with the latest new features. Sixth, if you are coming from a non-mechanical keyboard it will take some getting used to at first because of the difference in actuation time. However, once you get used to this, it is hard to go back to a non-mechanical keyboard due to all the benefits that come with a mechanical keyboard. Basically, the mechanical keyboard has a better feel to it and is easier to work with than other keyboards. Finally, the removable USB plug is a great feature since it allows you to use custom USB cables for that extra bit of aesthetics.
Now for the cons of the HyperX keyboard. The first issue I found was the lack of onboard memory for key trigger effects, however, this has since been fixed. Second, the lack of dedicated media keys was extremely difficult to get used to. In my opinion, this keyboard could be improved by adding media keys. Finally, the NGenuity software kind of sucks! Specifically, during the automatic software updates, it sometimes removes features that you like and want to keep. As a result, just when you get used to a specific feature and without any warning, NGenuity removes it. Basically, the software is slightly difficult to work with, although it does get the job done. Bottom line, the software is definitely not perfect and could be a bit more intuitive.
As you can see, the HyperX keyboard has many more pros than cons that should be considered before you hit the “Add to Cart” button. Overall, the keyboard is very good, and I will continue to use it as my main keyboard. For the price, it does it all with a nice compact design to keep your desk clean and uncluttered. If you are looking for a new keyboard, I would suggest taking a look at this one, however, don’t take my word for it, look at all the other reviews online. I hope you found this review helpful. This keyboard has a lot of functionality; however, it also has a few issues to consider before you hit the “Add to Cart” button.
Comfortable TKL with great quality
I have been enjoying using this keyboard for both programming and playing games. Personally, I use the keyboard for a couple of hours a day for typing and an hour of gaming. Using the keyboard has been a comfortable typing experience. I don’t need the Numpad so the extra desk space for the mouse has been phenomenal. While giving me extra space the Hyper X Alloy also puts on a beautiful show with bright LEDs that cycle smoothly.
The quality of the Hyper X is top-notch. It has an aluminum frame and cherry switches. My particular model has linear aquas that has a clear concise actuation point and relatively short travel. During my time with the keyboard, I haven’t encountered any faulty key presses.
It is nice seeing USB-C being so prevalent. Unfortunately, there is no USB Pass-Through, I really like that feature as it just allows me to minimize the cables leading to my computer. The software allows you to define each key individually which is a TON of customizability. You can find a pattern that works for you no matter what you like!
Overally, I have been EXTREMELY happy with the keyboard and the typing experience that it delivered. If you are looking for a TKL keyboard, I can with confidence recommend the Hyper X Alloy Origins Core.
Great keyboard, absolutely love it and would recommend it. The TKL size is great and the reliability of a brand like HyperX seriously screams quality. The only design choice I personally less like is the glossy finish of the keys leaving it a bit prone to fingerprints, however, this is such a minor inconvenience that it does not affect the overall quality of this produc
Keyboard hui, Software pfui
I haven’t purchased this keyboard here as I wanted to make sure I get UK layout, not US and looking at comments that was a good choice.
I use keyboard a lot for both work and gaming and this keyboard is lovely. I have comparison to Das keyboard blue and wanted something a bit quieter but mechanical. I didn’t want to spend over a 100 on a a keyboard too. This works great.
I have been using only cheap 20 keyboards in the past so it’s a big step up for me and was hesitant to spent this much money but god it was so worth it especially that I use for work and play every day.
This keyboard is fantastic! I love the mechanical sound and feel of this keyboard and the LED backlighting is great as well. The only downfall is that there isn't a built-in number pad. For someone that uses the keyboard for work so it's inconvenient the it's lacking. That's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

Awe boy, do I love this keyboard!
I wasn’t 100% sure about the tenkeyless and I’m still not 100% sold on it but the compact size has been very helpful with the space on my desk. I have a rather large mousepad and occasionally other things on my desk that previously caused me the continuously shuffle things around to get more comfortable to type, or more space of my keyboard, trying to shift my mousepad closer. I couldn’t really get a comfortable setup up going with the full size keyboard I was previously using. As for the switches, I LOVE them. The previous keyboard I used with blue switches was getting unbelievably annoying, god forbid someone called me when I was on the computer. The brown switches on my other keyboard were nice too. However, I think these keys are probably my favorite. They’re fire enough that they give me a satisfying click but still smooth enough to maintain my efficiency.
Additionally, the aluminum body is SO NICE. It feels so durable and high quality. I’m a big fan of things that I can care for and keep a long time and this keyboard feels like it’s going to hold up well. Plus, it give the keyboard a nice weight. The keyboard has feel on the bottom, two sets. So depending on which ones you use, you can either have the keyboard flat, slightly elevated, or more dramatically angled. I like the medium angle the best, so this added feature worked out in my favor. If I were to change anything, I might get the full sized keyboard but I’m still not 100% sure on that.
The one thing I wish is that were easier to find a wrist rest appropriate for this size these keyboard.
This keyboard is great.
This keyboard is great for gaming, it has all the W, A, S, and D keys I use.
The keys have a very smooth feel to them. It also has the alphabet on it which I often use for typing.
This keyboard replaced my Razer Black Widow Tournament, and is quite impressively a big upgrade. Typing feels very satisfying, the lighting options are pretty great (in my opinion), and I've had no issues with its performance thus far. Only drawback (and somewhat significant) is that any lighting/re-binding/presets that you set on this keyboard must be done through the HyperX NGENUITY app. That alone isn't an issue - the issue is that this application MUST be running in order for your custom settings to be applied. The minute you close the application, every reverts to factory default. This isn't a huge issue as the application itself isn't very taxing to have run in the background, but having some type of on-board memory is a feature that I'd expect given this pricepoint for a keyboard.

The first thing I noticed when I pulled the Hyperx Alloy Core Origins out of the box was the weight. The thing was HEFTY. This just screams quality to me. Usually keyboard around this price range are not made out of metal and if they are it's only on top while the bottom of the board is plastic. This is not the case with this one. The whole keyboard is metal. The frame is very sturdy and the hyperx aqua switches are pretty good. Coming from cherry mx reds, using these aqua switches was a great improvement from my older corsair board. The keycaps that come applied on the board are okay in quality, but there are some better one's out there as far as durability is concerned, but at this price point I am not going to complain. Just buy yourself a good set of pbt keycaps for around 15 dollars. Hyperx sells those as well which is what I replaced the old caps with. The lighting and RGB is extremely bright and has 5 brightness options: Off and 4 levels increasing in intensity. This board outshines by a huge margin my older Corsair k70 lux. I would have given this hyperx and this keyboard a 4.9 out of 5 stars because although I am in love with the board the software is close to being complete trash. I read other reviews prior to purchasing that the software (Ngenuity) was bad, but reviewers tend to exaggerate some things. Not with this though. The software always crashes whenever I attempt to customize the colors and profiles of my board. It occurs randomly every few minutes or so and if it does it erases and undo's all of the customization that you have input into the app. Not only that but you would have to keep the program running to have it save the profiles. Like I said this would have been given a 4.9, but since that's not an option I think giving it a 4 would be lying to the customer who wants to buy this next. Excellent product!

It occurs randomly every few minutes or so and if it does it erases and undo’s all of the customization that you have input into the app. Not only that but you would have to keep the program running to have it save the profiles. Like I said this would have been given a 4.9, but since that’s not an option I think giving it a 4 would be lying to the customer who wants to buy this next. Excellent product!
Quality Keyboard
I have to say that I am quite impressed with this keyboard so far. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and it is easily one of the best keyboards I have ever used. I am NOT a gamer, but I spend most of my day typing and the action of this keyboard is wonderful. It reminds me a lot of the early IBM “soft click” keyboards that were made back in the 1990’s only with a smaller footprint and much improved looks.
I didn’t really buy this for the LED backlighting but it is also quite impressive and a nice addition to my home office. People can’ help but to comment on it when they stop by. The backlit keys make it especially easy to work with at night when I am finishing up a late assignment. When I ordered it I did not really think that the $90 price tag was justified, but I have definitely changed my mind on that. It is well worth an extra few bucks when shopping for a new keyboard.
Grea
First of all, I love the feel. It has that tactile bump that I prefer on all of my keyboards. This one has a slightly lighter bump than some of the others, but it gives the feedback I’m looking for.
It’s not noisy like some of those clicky keys I’ve heard. Those things drive me nuts, and they’re impossible to use with a microphone. I did notice a slight jingle when using the space bar. Likely it’s the stabilizer. It’s not a big deal, but it makes it feel like slightly less premium.
The colors look great. I love that you can change the pattern without having to download software. By default it has the rainbow scroll, rainbow breathing, and keystroke rain drops. They all look great, and if you watch someone who’s a fast typer, the keystroke theme looks remarkable.
It feels durable. The metal case is reassuring for when I travel with it, and the 10-keyless design makes it more compact as well. The raised keys makes it much easier to clean than the sunken keys on some other keyboards. I also like that it has a detachable cord so you don’t have to worry about bending it too far when packing it away. It plugs into the keyboard with a nice USB-C cord, so it’s forward compatible. The included cable has a good looking, and feeling braiding to it.
They used a good font for the keys. I’ve seen keyboards where they use a space age themed font and it can be difficult to interpret what some of the symbols were. These are all standard and easy to make out.
I like that they put the caps lock light by the arrow keys where it should be so they’re easier to see. The only trouble I had with the keyboard was there’s no scroll lock light. Most people probably don’t even know what that’s for, but if you do, it’s nice to have.
Overall it’s a great compact keyboard.
Highly recommended.
Amazing keyboard.
First, I wish there was a off option for the RGB lighting. Best I can do is off till I push a button, and the leds flare in a upward direction. It actually looks amazing, although I see RGB as a bit of a distraction.
With that one thing out of the way, and about the closest thing I can see as a negative, outside not having low profile switches for improved ergonomics, I am wowed by this keyboard.
Before, I had a great keyboard, I loved it, and didn’t think you could really do much better. It used some cherry mx red clone, and it could have used some better stabilizers on the space bar and shift keys, but those were my only complaint on it. My wife on the other hand, loves the sound of blue switches over the reds, says that it reminds her of the typewriter. With that in mind, I took a gamble on these Aqua switches, which closely resembled blues, or thereabout anyways. I am impressed.
Keypresses take more than my Red switches, but allow for instantaneous repress due to their reactive spring back. Just resting my fingers on top no longer accidentally presses keys as well. Smooth actuation of the keys and super stable shift and space bar make this amazing. The aqua keys are not as loud of click as the standard blues, and the tactile feel makes for a good indication of press, improving confidence that the keyboard is still working. The keyboard does connect via a USB C connector, but the other side looks to be a standard design to fit my computer. I did not really look if it was USB 3 or USB 2, as either one is more than enough for any keyboard. 3 would be better though for other reasons unrelated to data though. I still have a separate number pad though, which uses low profile brown switches, and I like that I can push it off to the side while I game, but I need it for calculations and accounting.
They do make a full size version of this keyboard if memory serves right, but I do see this more as a keyboard meant for gaming, and it does that amazingly. I just upgraded my monitor as well. Turns out gaming monitors often make great productivity monitors as well. Amazing how gaming hardware is becoming the better option.
I really love mechanical keyboards, but I needed something with a little bit smaller of a profile. I had a non-mechanical keyboard before, but I've always wanted one for gaming. This keyboard is perfect. It is tenkeyless, meaning it gets rid of that Numpad to the right. With my desk, it was really hard to fit my old keyboard and mouse on the same surface. Now they fit perfectly. This keyboard isn't too loud, and is extremely precise. I'm knocking out over 100wpm on this thing, a marked improvement from my old keyboard. This really is a no-nonsense keyboard, with just what I needed for gaming. I couldn't be happier with what I got.

Love the keyboard and happy that I went for the Aqua over the Red
For a lot of gamers, finding a mechanical keyboard without the tenkey, to add more space for mouse movement is a major plus.
HyperX offers their HyperX Alloy Origins Core Mechanical Keyboard in both a Tenkeyless (87 keys) and Full Size (104 keys) format.
And for gaming keyboards, they offer the HyperX Aqua, HyperX Red
So, what are the differences? If anything, it all comes down to preference.
HyperX Aqua – Tactile (You can push a switch halfway down and you can hear the clicks and less resistance when hitting a key)
HyperX Red – Linear (you must press the switch all the way down and hitting a key, there is a little resistance)
The body is made of aircraft-grade aluminum, the keyboard has three adjustable angles and you can easily customize the keyboard including the colors via HyperX Ngenuity software. The Alloy Origins Core also features a detachable USB-C cable.
Having used Blue, Brown and Cherry Red mechanical keyboards, I find myself gravitating towards blue for my preference. I use them all, it’s just that when I want to do work and also gaming, I find myself using Blue’s more than anything.
I personally haven’t replaced the keys on these keyboards but I do like them and how easy they are to read. I feel many gaming keyboards tend to make their fonts creative but they are hard to read.
But overall, for look and feel, I really like this keyboard. I have less errors than I typically have had less problems typing when compared to my other keyboards, and for gaming, have no problems whatsoever.
Please note that the Origins Core uses one port, not two like the MX.
Overall, I really do like this keyboard a lot. For me, the Aqua was worked perfectly and of course, it’s all subjective.
But overall, I’m really liking the HyperX Alloy Origins Core Mechanical Gaming Keyboard a lot! And I definitely give it five stars!
This HyperX Alloy Origins Core is one of the kind. The HyperX Alloy Origins Core has a heavy, sturdy base material, light, tactile green switches, just a way I like it. Occupying less space on my desk. A long, braided detachable cable is great. This keyboard is glowing like a northern light! The driver software is good enough for me for customization, but a little bit annoying. When I close the app the keyboard jumping back the factory setup, so I have to run it constantly, even allowing it in the startup. The real gem of my gaming setup.

Super Rugged, Great Liner Keys
This keyboard is a solid deal for what you get:
-Full RGB
-Metal Frame
-Great feeling Linear Key Switches
-Little to No key Wobble
-No annoying ringy sound when typing
This is a great keyboard for anyone that wants a mechanical keyboard, the aqua switches feel amazing, way better than anything I’ve felt before.
The only thing that I really don’t care for is the software, but once you set your 3 presets for RGB, you don’t really need it which is nice.
I love the response. I will be honest, I like the clicking of the keys to as I type. I like that it is tenkeyless, which frees up space on my desktop for the mouse. I also like the feel of the keyboard. It feels sturdy. The aluminum base is strong and heavy and doesn't slide all around like plastic keyboards. You also can use the software to set up your personal settings for customization. Overall great keyboard.

Firstly, let me start by saying that I got the Origins Core ten keyless with aqua switches. My first impressions out of the box were, if I were to sum it up, I was simply blown away. I buy keyboards around this price because it’s usually not a big deal for me as long as the switches are good, it has good build quality, and the reviews are good. This is my first keyboard made from aluminum alloy and it looks and feels incredible. The pictures do not do this keyboard justice. Not to mention, the RGB is phenomenal and looks so clean. For $80, alone, the deck and rgb are two solid features that would make me buy this again if I had to. By far my most anticipated feature while waiting for this to arrive were the aqua switches. I can’t really describe the feel because it is something you have to try fopr yourself. However, I will say that they feel mostly tactile but ever so slightly linear. But oh man, let me tell you, they feel so good when typing and playing. Think of cherry mx reds mixed with brown switches that also has a nice cushion and beautiful sound with each click. In short, I am extremely satisfied with this product and would go out and buy it again if something happened. Also, I replaced my keycaps with hyperx pbt doubleshot pudding caps.
Amazing keyboard
This is my second gaming keyboard. My first one didn’t light up like this. The lighting is absolutely stunning on this keyboard. There are 3 light modes directly configurable from the keyboard. I love the one where it lights up the general area of the key that was typed.
The tenless keyboard is much more compact and lighter than my other keyboard. I also LOVE how the cable is replaceable. That’s a true bonus feature that is not found everywhere.
The Aqua keys are nice too. They provide mechanical feedback but not to the point where there is a click. I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because of one part. Overall, I thought the keys were too high. It was uncomfortable to keep my hands in that position.
Great Action on This Cool Keyboard
I got this to replace a Corsair K70 keyboard that was quite expensive but also has known issues, including typing double on certain keys.
I do a lot of word processing, and that is unacceptable. So this new HyperX keyboard is the replacement.
I was a little nervous when I pulled the keyboard out of the box because it’s quite a bit smaller. But no worries. I have small hands, so the smaller keyboard has not bothered me in the least.
I really like the action, and I can type very, very fast on it. And there are no flaws with this keyboard in terms of typing a letter or key twice.
So far so good. It comes with a USB cable, and the whole thing was very easy to set up. Just plugged it into the PC, and the software successfully loaded.
Very happy with this keyboard. Some of the keys are in a different place, but I’m learning it quickly.
Solid Keyboard
This is an impressive keyboard. You notice it as soon as you open the package.
The weight and all metal build is immediately apparent. The board feels cold to the touch.
Windows 10 immediately recognized it, but to control lighting you will have to install the beta software from HyperX Gaming website, which then pops open the Microsoft Store. Until then, you are stuck with rainbow RGB colors that “wave” across the keyboard.
When I installed the software, I got an error that the keyboard was found “but could not be connected.” The keyboard was still working fine, so I disconnected and reconnected. I then got prompted for a firmware update, but even after installing that I still got the “but could not be connected” error. Everything still worked though.
When I closed the Ngenuity Software (instead of leaving it running), all of my settings were reverted back to the multi-color wave. When I re-opened it, my settings returned. So then I Edited Preset 1 (You can only Sync Presets 1, 2, and 3), anf closed the software and my changes stayed.
One minor annoyance is that the spacebar sound is significantly differ than the other keys. Backspace and the Enter key have different sounds as well.
I seem to be making more typos on this keyboard than normal.
Overall, I am very impressed with the use of metal in this keyboard. The software has some quirks, and is still in Beta, but once you sort them out (or understand how it is supposed to work), it is alright. This might be one of the best keyboards I have ever used.
I like this keyboard. It is relatively quiet for a mechanical switch keyboard. Mine has the blue "tactile" keys. The keys don't really have any click to them so I not sure what is meant by tactile but they have good travel and they are responsive so I can type pretty fast on it. The backlit colors have 3 settings. There is also a gaming mode that turns off the Windows key. The keyboard has some weight to it and it has a nice feel. I would have liked a numeric keypad but other than that, it is nice.

The keys feel really good with this keyboard. The sound the keys make is also quite excellent. The keyboard is fairly compact. It doesn't have the numeric keypad on the side, but generally the keyboard is on the smaller side. From an ergonomic standpoint, the hand position seems too close together. A caveat though to that comment is that I have been using a Kinesis for a while, which allows me to put my hands more far apart than normal. The lights are not that bright and the color changes in a nice pattern. Overall, this is a excellent gaming keyboard that does not take up that much space.
