    Overall very good
The software to program the keys is slightly awkward (only for RGB), but once it’s setup it’s fine.

The keyboard itself is ace though. I’ve been using this for hours most days (programming, general use) for a little over a year or so and I’m very happy with it. The switches are comfortable and aren’t loud enough to annoy others but are loud enough to be satisfying. The font’s well printed and the per-key RGB is clear and bright. The shortcuts/hotkeys (media keys, etc) are sensible and well placed. It does collect dirt, but shaking the keyboard and cleaning the more open areas with a Q-tip is suitable enough.

Overall, very happy with this keyboard.

    Solid construction and highly customisable
It’s a good looking keyboard with a robust build and the software let’s you set each key individually. It’s perfect for late night gaming.
One point to note, as I may have otherwise given it a bad review.
It would be nice if gaming mode disabled on shutdown, if for no other reason, a month and a half into owning it I thought it was broken. I was getting triple taps, my windows key was none responsive, was really disappointed, it’s a very pretty keyboard. Then I was pretty happy when I saw the little light in the corner and realised I had turbo mode.

Once you learn that, good keyboard. Maybe read the manual, I still haven’t, but I like to play.
You can have different apps trigger light combinations, set 3 favourites, dim and brighten, and the media buttons work where you’d expect them too.

    Perfec
In love with this keyboard owned it for awhile now it’s a decent size but has some weight behind it you can feel it’s quality, key switches are amazing and really responsive

    Ok keyboard
Typing feels nice on it however have been having troubles with key chattering, have tried reinstalling drivers, connect to different PCs however seems like I was unfortunate to receive a keyboard with 2 chattering keys.
Other than that its a nice mechanical keyboard, use this at the office as it’s comfortable to type on and is quie

    Would buy again!
Great looking, feeling, and visually stunning keyboard. The customization is a great feature which really drew me to this product. This is probably my favourite peripheral for my PC. Highly recommend this for both casuals and gamers.

    Minimal and Attractive
The keyboard is very slim and minimal, however it does carry a very little bit of weight than an average keyboard.
The customisable colours are very attractive and bright, they look great in the daytime and amazing at night – being able to change the colours is a great feature and helps to set the mood, there are also custom designs on YouTube available for download which can be imported into the HyperX NGENUITY application.

I highly recommend this keyboard if you love a minimalistic designs, desk space and beautiful high-quality colours.

    Super star!
I bought it for my boyfriend who’s a CS player and he’s very happy with it. His game accuracies are improved considerably. A friend of our recommended it and it seems it worth it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGot to get used to this, but amazing.
Firstly, I love this keyboard and I have gotten very used to it. Getting used to it, however, took some time.

The keys require very little force to press. At the beginning I found myself clicking without intending to while just resting my fingers over WASD. I’ve gotten used to it now though and it doesn’t happen anymore.

I’m an accurate touch typist, but if you aren’t accurate, I can see how some people would quite often press multiple keys at a time because of how light the keys are. So only recommend if you can type well.

The RGB is very bright, dimmable of course, and I love how the keys are individually lightable. I thought it would be useful for highlighting certain important keys for gaming, but it’s really not as I don’t look at keys when I play, but nice to have anyway.

The build quality is genuinely excellent, its steel construction make the keyboard have a very heavy, premium feel to it.

In hindsight, I would not have gone for a full size keyboard as my desk isn’t so large, but I know if I went for a compressed keyboard I would get annoyed at not having the 10 keys on the right. Minor annoyance that I think I’d rather live with anyway!

    Great keyboard
This keyboard has the brightest rgb lights I’ve ever seen. The switches sound really nice and relaxing. Deffo recommend for anyone looking for a new keyboard. Great for gaming too.

    Brilliant Gaming Keyboard
This is a brilliant keyboard for gaming & I have never had a keyboard that is so sensitive from the press of a key to reaction.

I would say that you should steer clear if two things apply. Firstly if you are an inaccurate typist then this keyboard (or at least the silver key version) would not be the most ideal you can get, I literally brush the desired key as I type and love it but it is certainly not for everyone. Secondly if you primarily rest your fingers on keys when playing games or typing before pressing the keys then this keyboard would not be suitable as the pressure required to depress the key is incredibly low. I think if you are wanting a keyboard for typing then I would suggest not going for the silver switches.

Otherwise this keyboard looks superb, feels and sounds amazing and is a great heavy and high quality feeling product. I upgraded from an old membrane sidewinder and the difference is night and day.

    Transition from cherry blues
Amazing keyboard, was strange making the transition from using Cherry blues to this as it’s extremely responsive and got use to it in less than a week. It’s quite which was one of the main reasons I bought this keyboard. Overall great keyboard and I highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersVery low actuation force
Okay, well at just over 1 week old this keyboard has already outlasted the razer one I bought previously.

    For Gaming-
For me this keyboard is really good gaming wise, the low actuation force is exactly what I was after. It seems pretty durable (decently heavy and sturdy keys) makes it ideal for the type of games I play (Mostly platformers & JRPGs)

    Comfort-
Hard to say how you’d find it but I often play for well over 10 hours without a break on weekends and i’ve not noticed anything uncomfortable about it during those long sessions

    Accuracy-
the response time is very quick with this, i’d say it’s less than the blackwidow chroma that I purchased which for half the price is worrying.

    Overall:
Yeah, great keyboard and not too expensive either as far as mechanical keyboards go. I’d say it’s worth buying
(it sounds real nice also if you like clicky keyboards)

Very nice keyboard, heavy so be careful when moving it, key strokes are just right really but when gaming i tend to have my fingers hovering over the ASWD keys and a lot of times depress the A key accidentally, not much of an issue but annoying sometimes, overall its a very sturdy, precise and easy to keep clean keyboard

Quality and great for gaming or work
This is a HEAVY, quality keyboard, it’s fantastic for gaming, the keys in this are super sensitive which I like but I get why others don’t. The customisation is great and easy to use. Overall love this keyboard.

    Good for esports fps gaming
Very good build quality for the price as the keyboard is built off of a solid metal backplate with the keys exposed on top. Kailh speed silver switches have only a 1.2mm actuation so they are extremely fast and good for any fps shooters but are too fast for regular typing. No dedicated media keys or volume scroll featured but the build quality and cable are very good quality.

Sturdy keyboard, beautiful and nice to use
Very useful keyboard, it is my first mechanical one but I got used to it quite quickly. Good working software, easy to use and self-explanatory. Very happy with the purchase.

Amazing keyboard. You have Full control on the lighting features. Has a nice sound as you press down on a key, looks nice in the dark, fast delivery. I enjoy using this keyboard a lot I definitely recommend worth the price.

Very pretty, but would not work with Grandson's PS4
I had to return it as it was not compatible with the PS4. This was a shame as the colours were very nice and it seemed very sturdy and well made.

    Rigid, well made and responsive
This has a nicely rigid chassis with virtually no flex. The keys are very responsive and a good amount of feedback. Great for gaming as well as everyday computing. Lighting effects are very eye catching and look great.

A lovely and affordable mechanical keyboard
I’m something of a keyboard snob and because I’m constantly at a computer I go through them at an alarming rate. I’ve tended to go for Microsoft curve keyboards in the past because it’s the one with which I’m most comfortable. I’ve become a convert to mechanical keyboards though because of this – sounds great, feels great, and has a wonderful accuracy for gaming. My sole minor gripe is that the control software for the RGB settings doesn’t sync up to anything (I’d love to have the keyboard visualise music, for example) but it’s not enough for me to be at all unhappy with the device.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe Sherman tank of keyboards
I am sure that if I threw this under the wheels of a bus it would pop out the other side asking for more! It is a weighty piece of kit with keys that can take a thrashing. The braided cable is detachable and will need 2 USB ports to make full use of the lights and passthrough USB socket based at the rear. The keyboard comes with legs to adjust the tilt (only 1 height setting).

The lights are mesmerising especially when you first fire it up and watch the rainbow of colour dance across the board. It works straight out of the box, but you will need to download the HyperX software to make the absolute most out of it. There is good spacing between keys to minimise accidental keypresses, but not so spaced that you have to travel too far from one key to the neighbour. My usual layout for movement is W, A, S, D with Q, E for side moves and R for reloads, depending on game of course. In this hand position my thumb rests comfortably on the space bar and just small movements to get to neighbouring keys.

The pinch is the current price of 100. Not sure I could personally justify that for the gaming I do, but the cost does seem justifiable considering the superb build quality. If you are serious about gaming and want as much of an edge as you can get, then I am sure you will find justification.

HyperX Alloy FPS RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (QWERTY UK Layout) Gunmetal
This ‘HyperX Alloy FPS RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (QWERTY UK Layout) Gunmetal’ is a sturdy and smart looking compact mechanical gaming keyboard, with some nice features and a smaller-than-average footprint which means it takes up less desk space. It has a metal frame and little feet which can be used to angle it upwards into a more ergonomic position, although no wrist rest is provided (these can, of course, be purchased separately). Using the manufacturer’s own programme, you can customise macros, lighting etc to suit your needs, and the keyboard has some limited onboard memory so that your settings can be retained if you take it to another computer. A nice feature is that the keyboard comes with a usb charging port built into the side, so you can keep your phone charged as you play. The usb cable which connects the keyboard to the PC is a tough braided one, and is also detachable so can be readily replaced if anything untoward does happen to it. The keyboard is a QWERTY UK Layout, and the keys have a quiet but definite action.

Overall, this keyboard looks great and works very well, and seems like it will prove to be very durable. Recommended.

Built to last, excellent gaming set up.

The keyboard and USB connection lead.

    Set up.
Just plug it in and it will auto set up on Windows 10.

    Features.
    Mechanical switches,
    Back lighting,
    Lighting effects,
It can save custom set ups when used with downloadable software,
    Steel frame,
    USB pass through socket,
    Very well made.

    Size.
This is quite a small gaming keyboard and is easy to take with you, the dimensions are 44.2 x 13 x 3.6 cm and it weighs 1,.1 Kg.

    In use.
This is a really strong keyboard designed for hard gaming. It is very robust indeed and will take a lot of punishment. The lighting and lighting effects are great and key sets can be assigned colours for different functions in different games — my son achieved this with the Hyper X software.
The individual keys are designed for a long life and each key is a sperate switch mounted onto a backplate. This makes it strong and unlikely to fail like membrane gamming keyboards do. Response is instant and very positive.
It has flick oput feet on the underside so the keyboard can be angled if required.

    Overall.
A dedicated gaming keyboard and built to last. The key travel and feel is a bit long for long-term office use but it can be used to type the odd email. It excels as a gaming keyboard and should last a long time. Adding a wrist rest makes it more comfortable to use in my opinion.

Great for games; less good for typing
This is a keyboard aimed at gamers. This means it is designed to be quickly responsive to key presses and to be rugged, and it achieves both of these. It’s impressively heavy and solid-feeling; the keys are separate switches on a solid backing plate – there is no case around the mechanism as such – and the USB cable (which is braided for strength) is detachable so can easily be replaced. There are foldable feet on the back which can raise the keyboard to a nice angle for typing. The caseless design means this is smaller than many conventional keyboards, so it might fit better on smaller desks than some alternatives.

The key feel is far more suitable for gaming than for typing – there is no real tactile click as contact is made, as you get with the best mechanical keyboards; instead the keys are optimised to register with a comparatively light touch when they are tapped. There’s decent key travel, and you are in no doubt that you have made contact, but it’s not quite as satisfying as the Cherry style of mechanical switch – presumably because the Cherry style mechanisms are slower to register and recover than these switches. (Note that other similar keyboards from HyperX do use the Cherry mechanisms, so if you are more of an all-rounder than a gamer, they may suit you better than this particular model.)

The keyboard has some flashy lighting effects whereby the colour of each key can be set individually using the downloadable software driver, which can be useful for highlighting important keys for particular games; you can store three lighting profiles and switch between them using the function keys. (These lighting effects are the main difference between this keyboard and the aforementioned Cherry version – for me, the Cherry mechanism is more useful than the flashy lights, but that’ll be down to personal preference.)

If you want a solid keyboard for gaming that feels like it’ll last for a good few years, this one is a very decent option, but keen touch-typists who only play the occasional game might want to look elsewhere.
