Quality, well built and waranty
I have used the scarifier twice and very pleased, coming from another branded scarifier that had to be replaced, does a very good job and with the long warranty I did not feel you could go wrong.
I have been debating weather to buy one or hire one of these for a while. With the lawn soft and the moss out of control I bit the bullet and bought this one. The cost of hire meaning that as long as it does 2 seasons I am better off.
It did arrive in an oversized box with huge amounts of extra packaging but that’s an amazon challenge not the product.
It is simple to put together.
Now for the tricky bit….. read the instructions. Be gentle at first. I set off with the most gentle of aeration runs and within 4 meters the collection basket was full. I went another meter and it was over full leaving piles of thatch and moss behind. You do need to empty the basket every few meters the first time you use it (well at least I did).
It generated so much debris out of the lawn it required a tip run. Slow and steady and it did the whole lawn like a dream. I could imaging though that if you set it to its lowest depth and didn’t empty the basket every few meters it could jam up an overheat/ destroy itself in minutes.
The machine feels well made and with care should last a good number of years. The three year warranty should give piece of mind too.
All round a very good piece of kit.

An excellent machine
Have used both the rake and the scarifier blades withe excellent results.(It’s simple the change from one to the other with the tool provided)
Delivered in robust packaging, and assembly is simple and straightforward.
Cleaning after use is easy but remove the blades first.
Great product at a great price
Ease of use simple to build and very speedy. Just ensure your green bin is empty as the amount of thatch is astonishing.
I bought this to replace a smaller one of a different make that had burnt out. It’s a real beast, effortlessly scarifying my medium sized lawn in a fraction of the time it used to take. I’ve only used the shallowest setting so far, but it did a great job of removing bucket loads of thatch. The waste collection system is fairly good, better than any I’ve had on previous machines, although you do have to empty it very frequently because it removes so much thatch. I’d have probably liked a couple of extra tines on this wide machine, but the power is awesome!
Getting stuck in.
Powerful machine and well made for the occasional gardener. Just be aware of all the debris created. Reasonably easy to put away and to assemble, but one must have a enough storage space. A certain raciness about the look and design of this dual purpose machine and not too heavy to handle.
Solid constructio
It was a choice between paying someone to rake and scarify our large lawn or paying half their cost and buying this machine which can be used each year. Machine is quite solid and has a wider than average scarify width. So far very pleased.
What a great bit of kit. Did a brilliant job of scarifying my small lawn for about 20 minutes. Sadly it then stopped working!
I notice that other customers have had a similar problem. Bound to get the odd faulty component I suppose. Shame really.

does a good job
it was easy to put together, and use, did a very good job on our lawn which was full of moss on one side where the sun doesn’t reach in the winter. My husband was impressed with the performance of this machine.
A very good product, reasonable priced and does an excellent lawn maintenance job
This is a very good product which does it job as lawn rake and scarify excellently. My issue was that I found it difficult to assemble from its delivery in a box. If fact I had to resort to advice my local lawn mower repairer to assemble it. However that maybe just me because I am not just mechanically minded.
The product is never the less very efficient and my lawn looks better for it.
I’ve previously hired a petrol scarifier, which was heavy, hard to manoeuvre and tended to dig into the lawn. The next time I had a well-known lawn care company look after my lawn for a year and they made a real mess of it with their scarifier. Today I used this for the first time on the rear lawn. I used it on level 2 (out of 5) and the effect was amazing. Attached photo shows before and after.
I chose this Hyundai because the collection box was twice the size of the Von Haus one. It could have done with being a lot larger still as I was stopping to empty it every 4-6 yards.
A note on what this machine is for: it’s a scarifier for removing accumulated thatch and moss. It’s not a lawn aerator, which makes 4 inch long holes in the lawn to provide air to the roots and loosen compacted soil.
Great Lawn Scarifie
I still haven’t used this properly as you have to wait until April. But its easy to put together and arrived quickly. The Lawn Scarifier also comes with the tools to change the heads which is great. Would recommend and its from a big branded company.
This is a beast of a machine! We did not use the collection box as we had so much thatch in the lawn but will probably attach next time raked it up no problem light enough for my wife to use with ease looking forward to using it again in the spring, quick and very easy to assemble lot of machine for the price highly recommend.
Nothing to dislike the the bladed one which scarifiys and airates brings out loads of dead grass the one with the tynes in the roller is ideal for raking leaves from the lawn a very good buy
