I liked these EarPods better than all EarPods I’ve had so far. Excellent noise cancellation, great buttons, very clear hearing!
What still bothers me is that the noise cancellation is only when I’m listening to MP3 music files, but when I switch to phone call mode, the noise cancellation doesn’t work, I couldn’t change it.
But i really recommend this product!
4.5 Stars
I only give half a point off as the battery life isnt as long as others BUT I didnt find that much of an issue at all.
Noise cancellation and sounds is great. I love that you can control so much from the ear buds thsemselves like skipping songs, adjust volume etc.
The sound quality is surprisingly good, and the durability lives up to the hype. The battery life has been a pleasant surprise; it’s holding up better than I expected. Pairing with my Samsung S22U is a breeze — fast and seamless. Overall, these earbuds have proven to be reliable workout partners.
The buds themself were relatively simple to connect to my phone, and at first glance seem to be quite similar to other earbuds.
One of my main issues is something which is common amongst all in-ear earbuds and that is the silicone ear gels provided done fit that well in my ears and provide discomfort after wearing them for a short period of time and that I have to resort to custom ear gels from a 3rd party seller.
The buttons on the buds are quite sensitive and sometimes catch accidental movements or will sometimes pause which can be more of an issue when out running. One thing to note is that like with any buds it will take time to get to grips with the controls and the various touch patterns
The quality of sound was comparable with some of the more premium earbuds on the market but do require some finetuning before they are useful for both gaming and music.
Overall a decent set of earbuds at the price point but nothing particularly special
I was a little sceptical about having wireless earbuds, as I was always convinced that they would fall out. As a first-time user of earbuds. I am very pleased to announce that this is not the case at all. With 3 sizes of ear bud to choose from, you can find the perfect size for you, and they are less bulky than I had imagined. Whilst I probably wouldn’t recommend sleeping in them, it is feasible, and the sound quality is incredible. I was absolutely blown away by the noise cancelling function, and the ability to switch between that and “hear through” at a touch of a button. I don’t know how it works, but it is an incredible feature and works really well. With hear-through, you can still hear background noise fairly clearly (TV, conversations, traffic) which is great for road safety and awareness, but once noise cancellation is activated, all background noises almost completely disappear!!! Incredible!! I’m also really impressed at the battery life, as lasts far longer than anticipated. I’ve used them for several workouts, train journeys and even to block out a snoring housemate throughout the night with no problems!! The charging cable does seem really short, but I only plug it into my pc so it’s suitable for my needs entirely, and doesn’t take long to fully charge. The case is compact and seals with a satisfying magnetic closure and fits easily into a pocket or handbag. Overall. I’m really glad I bought these and would definitely buy them again, and highly recommend them to everybody!
The Elite 4 earbuds sit in the sweet spot of Jabra’s comprehensive range of earbuds. Offering an excellent balance of features for the price point, these “every use case” buds impressed across a range of challenging environments. Given the advertised sporty nature of these buds (Inclusing sweat resistance) I took them for a spin in a cycle class. Their form and size allowed them to sit snuggly in my ears and they delivered plenty of volume and bass. They also shine when on long journeys, and it was a joy to be able to rely on the long battery life and quick charge times. The active noise cancellation further helped to improve the experience, however the superb fit meant high levels of sound isolation even with ANC turned off. As can be expected with any Jabra product, they are excellent for taking calls in the office or on the go. My impressions (and those for whom I was speaking to!) Is that they significantly outperform similarly peiced rivals for the clarity, isolation and minimal delay. The experience is rounded out by Jabra’s well thought out and feature rich Sound+ app. Here again, Jabra has seemingky thought through almost everything and yet while enabling the end user the option to tailor things as they see fit. This includes a high degree of personalisation, such as sound profiles, editing of button controls, and utilising the lost earbud features. While I was initially hesitant to like these earbuds, they’ve quickly become my go to buds for any and all situations. My previous (more expensive) pair have been consigned to the office drawer!
I decided to give these new Jabra Elite 4 earbuds a try as unfortunately I lost one of my previous Jabra earbuds and the price point on these is great. The packaging is good, not loads of excess packaging and all recyclable. Out the box they are a nice compact design, I went for the dark grey as I carry them with me all the time & work outside so felt like one of the lighter colours may look grubby (I do love the look of the lilac though) The case is nice & light but feels sturdy. The earbuds magnet into place so no faffing around they pop straight where they should be. They paired with my phone immediately, I already had the app downloaded from my previous pair but it was easy to update and add these. To be honest for the price I wasn’t expecting them to be amazing but they are great, I wear earbuds for a few hours every day listening to music & podcasts, these were nice & comfortable throughout the day. The sound quality is good, my only real gripe is the bass could be better. It’s great that you can turn the hear through on with a touch so that you don’t have to pause your audio to hear when someone is talking to you. I love the fact that they have a two year dust & water resistance warranty as I work outside a lot so that’s a great plus point. Overall for a pair of earbuds for everyday use they are great, price is good for the quality & they look nice. Would definitely recommend.
Firstly, they are one of the most comfortable pair of headphones I’ve tried. Usually, I am a medium size in ear buds and accept the headphones would never be super secure as the small earbuds are usually too small. I tried the small earbuds and they were a perfect fit. I’ve never worn in-ear headphones and felt I could do many active things in them for fear of them falling out of my ear. I’ve worn these to the gym, whilst running and also whilst trampolining and they’ve stayed in place perfectly.
The sound quality of the headphones is great, and this is helped by being able to customise your audio specifications/preferences using the Jabra App. The only thing I would say is that the noise cancelling feature for me personally, could be a bit better. I still feel like outside sounds are seeping in, and even thought the first time it hadn’t been activated – but that’s minor.
The use of the headphones is very straightforward with answering and hanging up calls, and pausing, playing as well as skipping songs.
Battery life is amazing! I charged them fully when I first received them and two weeks later I’ve only just had to charge them again recently – and I have been wearing them daily for 45 mins – 1 hour every day.
These are my first pair of Jabra headphones and I am definitely impressed with the app, ease of use and battery life – I would definitely look at purchasing more of this brand in the future.
My order Jabra Elite 4 earbuds arrived in a nice little box which included: a manual, instructions to download and launch the app, USB cable, EarGels in 3 sizes (this is very important as I have relatively small ears), Earbuds and Charging Case. The earbuds charge quickly and this is a big advantage because during the day there is not always time to do this. At first I used earbuds without an app, but the fun only started after I customised them in a dedicated app. The possibilities offered by the app are enormous and everyone is able to find what they want from the earbuds. The sound is clear, the Active Noise Cancelling works well when you want to cut yourself off from the world and find time for yourself only. The battery is long-lasting and the bud Mono Mode is useful in some situations. Operating the earbuds may seem difficult at first, but anyone can quickly figure out the functions. In my opinion, the price of earbuds is reasonable for the quality and their capabilities. Highly recommended.
These headphones are a great value for money item with some special features that set them apart from budget and basic wireless headphones. The ANC and Hear-through functions are welcomed and work well to ensure you can listen to whatever you are playing whilst being aware of your surroundings or to block out external sounds/noise. Since trialling these headphones (I have used them over a period of 15 days for 40-60mins), I have only had to charge the headphones once, where I have used the headphones daily. They are easy to use, and are comfortable once in with varying sizes of earphones to ensure the fit supports the audio experience when in use. The microphone works successfully and again, is user friendly and functional where answering calls offered clear tones (using the sidetones feature) with minimal outside noise being sent back to the receiver. The navy blue headphones are fashionable and go with anything. The headphones have good Bluetooth reach where my device never cut out or got disconnected from the headphones. These headphones do not fall out! Tried and tested whilst playing sports and at the gym. They only come out when you take them out of your ear. Get yourself a pair of these headphones, they are value for money without breaking the bank. A good all rounder that you won’t regret purchasing!
This is my second pair of Jabra headphones, after trying out the Jabra Elite 5. The first impressions right out of the box are great: it’s well designed, the packaging comes with everything necessary and is easy to recycle. The app is also easy to set up and get going, and has a number of handy features. In terms of the ANC, audio quality and the connectivity in general, these headphones do a great job. The battery lasts as long as is advertised. The ANC is effective, particularly so when the correct earbuds have been used. Notably, this model is quite a bit cheaper than some of the others. This is reflected in the slightly-less-premium feel of the materials used for the case and outside of the buds, and slightly reduced functionality. However, this seems a fair trade off, especially since the audio quality feels just as good as the more expensive model. All in all, if you’re willing to spend a little more a pair of earbuds but don’t fancy shelling out for the most expensive models, this is an excellent choice for you!
TWS earbuds have been around for a while now and so you would expect the technology to improve through each iteration. What i often find is that while many brands on the market offer lots of features, the main one – Bluetooth stability, is often lacking and you get random drop outs, disconnects or static which make the user experience very poor. Not these Jabras though, they excel at consistent performance time after time. The user setup was very slick, download the app, pair the headphones and the device was connected. A firmware update was available, and after installing that, the devices rebooted and i was able to try them out for the first time. What surprised me was just how quickly the buds reconnected to my phone after a reboot or when taking them out the case. I tested the buds using my favourite music playlist. The sound was pleasing and clean, and the in app EQ allowed me to tweak to my preference for different genres of music. I then tried the buds on calls. I tested both at home in a quiet environment and also on the roadside walking along and both times the calls were clear, crisp and without interruption. Users on the other end reported clear vocals and so this was a big plus. So far so good. Battery life is very good, if not class leading, but the case recharges them quickly and i find that its more than enough to see me through a few days before i need to recharge. All in all i think these are extremely capable earbuds, with a very reasonable price and comfortable fit that make them a winner.
I’ve been after some new headphones for a while and decided to give the Jabra 4 Elite a try. I’ve used budget headphones for a while and opted for something a little more expensive without breaking the bank. I have my headphones in most of the day for calls and listening to music as well as streaming films. Setup was simple and straight forward and downloading the app gives you everything you need including a manual if you need it. You can also control the noise cancellation and it has an equaliser. I like my music with good bass and this helps boosts it without any distortion. These headphones are the most comfortable I’ve ever had and haven’t fallen out or come loose at all. I changed the gel tip for the large which fit my ears perfectly. Mediums come pre-mounted. The noise cancellation is a nice feature to have too. Whilst it doesn’t completely eradicate all noise, it does a good enough job that means I don’t need to increase the volume further. Using the right tip helps seals your ear so trying the different ones is definitely recommended. The battery life has been excellent regularly getting through my day without going flat. I always pop them back in the case whenever they’re not in use. The case will fast charge them to 60% in 10 minutes so if like me they’re in constant use then this is a great feature. You can also use each one individually which my previous ones wouldn’t, you always had to use the right side which was annoying if you wanted to use the left and listen to the person sitting on your right so a big plus for me. Call quality is fantastic too. People often commented using my old headphones was I on hands free or couldn’t hear me but not one person has noticed that I’ve been using these to make and receive phone calls, even cutting out wind noise when I’ve been outside. Overall I would say these are an excellent pair of headphones especially given the relatively low price point, you won’t be disappointed if you opt for these.
The charging cable is very short, I expected it to be at least a metre long. When charging the earphones, I have to place them on the floor, which isn’t ideal. The headphones can be a bit uncomfortable to wear for a long time, not sure if that will change over time or if I have to change the earphones tips. Learning the controls takes a bit of time to get use to, navigating the volume, forward/reverse play ect, but overall, I’m generally happy with this product and would recommend it.
The Jabra Elite 4 wireless earbuds offer the same impressive audio performance, comfortable fit, and a sleek design as my old pair, but with some new features added into the mix. Straight out of the box they were easier to setup and were good to use in a few minutes, the app was easy to connect to and do some bespoke set up if i wanted to. I liked the fact they automatically connected with my spotify and phone, rather than having to search for the device to pair with. There was options to change ear pads in, but i didnt need to change them.
The ANC is just as good as my previous pairs, with a touch of the left hand ear bud changes between the sound options – denoted by a small noise, i preferred the previous versions, where a voice told you what sound mode you are in, ie hear through, ANC or off. But thats just my preference. You can tell the difference between the modes.
After using them out and about for both dog walks, listening to podcasts, and taking phonecalls, the sound and call quality is great as i now expect from Jabra. Top marks all round with no issues at all. I havent used the function yet, as the battery life is great, but the option to just use one ear bud is great. With my current ear buds, one is fully functioning, which means both dont work, at least with these, i can just use one if needed to extend both battery life or if i need to keep one ear free! A per my previous pair, the USB-C charging case is a useful accessory, charging them back up after a few minutes, and is great feature.
The feel of the product and the quality of the buttons isnt on par with the higher elite series i have, the buttons arent as responsive o pressing, however, at around half the price, its a small sacrifice!
I generally wear these walking to work, or walking the dog, so out in all weather, they appear to be a bit more resistant to rain compared to my previous ones, which is a massive bonus!
The app is the same as the previous versions, and allows you to tweak the sounds to your own requirements. I dont bother really, but i may do in the future.
Overall, the Jabra Elite 4 earbuds are a solid choice for users seeking high-quality wireless earbuds without an outrageous price tag, like my previous pair, i would highly recommend these ear buds!
Where it isn’t quite as strong is the ANC isn’t quite as good. It still works but there is a little more noise pollution. I suspect this may be because the fit in the ear isn’t quite as snug (I’ve tried using the different gel bud sizes but that didnt help) The other issue is the buttons. You have to press them quite hard and deep to get them to work, which makes it tricky when you’re double/triple tapping, especially when running. Thankfully I dont have to do it very often but the other Elite models worked better for this.
All that being said, for the price, I think it’s a pretty decent package and you’d probably have to pay close to double that amount to get a handful more features.
The Jabra Sound+ app provides a streamlined setup process and allows users to customize their noise-cancelling experience, while the USB-C charging case is a useful accessory. The earbuds’ battery life of around 4 to 5 hours of continuous use with ANC on which somewhat disappointing and a hindrance on the enjoyment of the product. Some users may find the eartips to be of a slightly lower grade than what should be available for the price tag, although, the earbuds did come with three different sizes of eartips and whilst running they did not come loose. Overall, the Jabra Elite 4 earbuds are a solid choice for users seeking high-quality wireless earbuds without an outrageous price.
The sound quality is superb, well-balanced and clear with the bass and treble notes. Combined with the app, you can tweak the sound to your liking with preset equalisers or your custom setting. The added functionality of Active Noise Cancelling does an excellent job of enhancing the sound further. Additionally, with the HearThrough feature, you do not need to pull the earbuds out of your ears to hear externally, you click once and will ‘pass through’ the sounds around you.
The fitment is fantastic, this specially designed shaped earbud slots snugly into your ear comfortably and without the worry of them falling out. Perfect for any active lifestyle. The connectivity is excellent, very quick to pair and connects immediately when taken out of the case. You can use a single earbud also, without any specific configuration, you take one out and use it as you would usually.
The call quality was clear and there were no concerns about background noise or anything unusual from those on the other end of the line.
I cannot fault the product, excellent quality materials, is easy to setup, has fantastic audio, comfortable fitment, look nice and fits into the case very well thanks to the magnetic charging connections and snap-shut lid. I am thrilled indeed!
The headphones are also incredibly comfortable to wear, with soft cushioned earpads and a lightweight. With their small ergonomic size, they sit very well in my ear and can handle a lot of movement without
moving or falling out which is great and that made the fear of losing an ear bud go away very quickly.
The Jabra Elite 4 are rated at IP67, which makes them sweat, dust & waterproof allowing to use them at home, at the gym or outside for your commute.
The Jabra Elite 4 headphones not only perform well, but they also look sleek and stylish. The design is modern and minimalist, with a slim profile and a matte finish that gives them a premium look.
The Jabra sound+ app made the out of box experience a breeze to setup the headphones the way you like, and it included a personised noise cancelling tuning experience. The noise cancelling can handle a good amount of noise before any outside noise bleeds in. I would have liked a few more EQ music pre-sets.
The Jabra buds don’t have the longest battery life, around 4 to 5 hours of constant use with ANC on. The charging case has a USB-C connector, but the cable provided is too short to be useful.
My verdict is the Jabra Elite 4 headphones are a firm contender for the mid-range price point. They pack enough features, great immersive audio and great looks in a tiny package that’s easy to fit in your pocket or purse.
Certainly if you are used to the 65t then you should RTFM straight away as the controls work differently. I spent a few days of frustration because I assumed the Elite 4 controls would work the same as the 65t. They don’t, I wouldn’t say they are better but they are not worse either.
What I do love are the way these snap in and out of the charging case. Little magnets make it literally idiot proof and give it a really satisfying click. The lid is nice and snappy too. A big improvement. They have a slightly shallower profile as well, and for me they nestle inside of the ear quite well.
I’m always pleasantly surprised when a company releases a newer model of one of my favourites that I don’t actually hate. Usually they get all excited and forget what made the original model so popular but I think the Elite 4 is a good replacement for my trusty old 65t.
These will probably go the same way as I use them almost everyday above my gym routine. They are great for the price and the magnetic click when you put them in charging case is a little bonus.
These are absolutely worth the money.
Their battery life is almost unmatched, and certainly unbeatable in the super small profile earbuds. Nothing comes even close.
Sound isolation is fantastic and my wife hates it.
Audio quality is great and I can’t tell the difference between them and my wife’s airpods pro.
And lastly what most people care about with the “Active” versions of Jabra’s earbuds. Let me put it this way: I went for multiple 10k runs and they haven’t fallen out once. Several 1.5-2h gym sessions (which included runs on the threadmill too) and they haven’t fallen out yet. They really do stay in your ears like they are glued.
At their default settings, the earphones have a very ‘flat’ sound. The Jabra Sound+ app is essential to modify the EQ to get the most out of the ear phones, and they are certainly capable of generating plenty of bass. Unfortunately the sound stage is quite limited compared to my Anker earphones; I suspect this is due to the the ‘smaller’ 6mm drivers.
Sound isolation is excellent even in the absence of active noise cancelling (ANC). The ‘HearThrough’ functionality works as intended. Battery life is average. I also like the fact the Jabra app provides an indicator of battery reserve for each earphone and the case. Lastly, the fit is excellent and remain in my ears despite working out.
Ultimately I think the Elite 4 Active are a good pair of earphones for everyday use or exercising. I suspect most people will find the sound quality good enough for their needs although unlikely to cater for audiophiles or enthusiasts.
Update June 2023:
The sound quality is improved after ‘breaking’ the earphones in. However, the mic qualtiy has a lot left to be desired. It’s a shame, because these are the most comfortable earphones I’ve had the pleasure of trying. Most of them give me ‘fatigue’. I’ve replaced them with the EarFun Pro 3 – whilst these do not sound as good, the microphone is much better for audio calls.
