Initially thought they were too small but then put them on wo socks and they fit fine. Super sleek and light weight. I will be happy if they last in the ocean and backpacking creek jumping as long as my old keens. We'll see..

Fantastic sandals!!
Fantastic sandals, really comfortable and secure with a grippy sole
One size up from my usual size 10, but these fit perfectly and are well put together.
Great waterproof sandals. Good design and good colour. I’m looking forward to wearing these in the local streams and rock pools when I’m out with the kids.
Perfect for Summer Walks
They are probably the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever had. Completed 3 ten mile walks in these so far without a blister. They really do support your feet while keeping them cool. I would buy half a size up on your normal size.
Pretty versatile
Just received my 3rd pair which seem as good as ever. They generally last me 2 or 3 years. I have tried alternatives including other Keen styles but the Clearwater CNX remains the best in my opinion. There is some scope for adjustment and they do loosen up a little so I find the sizing accurate. Great for summer walking and holidays.
Advantages:
(1) They protect your toes. You can trip over a tree root or stub your toe against a rock without it ruining your holiday.
(2) Passable alternative to shoes if packing light.
Disadvantages:
(1) Although they don’t mind getting soaked the fabric will feel damp afterwards which is not pleasant in cool conditions.
(2) Small stones e.g. beach shingle can get in but can’t get out. In some terrains you have to keep stopping to shake them out.

Praktisch und gu
Die Sandalen sind empfehlenswert, ich habe sie im Urlaub auf Kos jeden Tag getragen, auch bei Ausflgen in die Berge. Man geht gut darin und der Fu hat ausreichenden Halt.
Order a half size bigger!
Ordered a size 9 and couldn’t t get them on my feet. Returned for a 9.5 and they are very comfortable.
Durable Comfortable
After wearing my old pair all over the world, in the sea, trekking in the rivers, over the mountains, walking on the streets, parks etc for many years and kilometres, finally decided to get another pair.
Now the older pair is retired, and I am wearing it home only, and the new one takes it’s place.

Half size extra and they fit just fine
I’m new to these shoes, so read all about how many people found them too small and hard to get on and off. I ordered a half-size above my normal size 8 and I have to say, they are just fine. They go on and off easily and fit snugly but not too snugly when on. I’m very pleased. The lack of straps and the stretch-on and stretch-off pulling of the heel piece makes me wonder about long term durability, but I can’t comment on that yet.

Bought these to replace a well worn pair of leather fisherman’s sandals and am really happy with them. Much more modern, more comfortable and easier to slip on and off vs having to do up a buckle or Velcro strap. They fit my feet really nicely too. Getting another colour or two is definitely on the cards!
Comfortable, protective walking sandals
I have had a number of Keen sandals and my favourite to date has been the Newport H2 – my go to casual and water sports sandal.
However, my wife always complained that hey looked too chunky, so thought I would try the Clearwater CNX in leather this time.
I must admit that they are pretty similar to the Newports – a bit lighter and finer and the leather makes them look a little classier, but the same sole and grip.
Been out walking in them a few times and they come up a little smaller than the Newports, hopefully there will be a bit of give in the leather once they get wet.
All in all – the usual Keen comfort, support and protection.

Er ist rutschfest und trocknet schnell. Ich trage ihn das ganze Jahr. Perfekt fr’s Kanu fahren. Mit schwarzen Socken sieht er aus wie ein geschlossener Schuh. Das Fubett gefllt mir und benutze ihn auch bei lngeren Spaziergngen.
Der Preis von Amazon ist unschlagbar – kostet sonst 30 Euro mehr (also 100 Euro)
Ho cercato a lungo dei sandali che, una volta immersi in mare non si scollassero. E questi non si scollano. Li uso per camminare sulla spiaggia, e per proteggermi da spine e ricci quando cammino sulle rocce in mare. Li ho da due anni e funzionano egragiamente.

I bought these for kayaking. They are good solid sandals that are good on sharp rocks and seaweed. I’ve camped with them as my only foot wear and they were good for walking on islands. However, fully dry feet are nice and I will bring shoes in future

Excellent Produc
This is the second pair of these excellent Keen toe protected, waterproof sandals, they are sturdy and very comfortable. I can wear these all day without issue. Hard to fault in any way, highly recommended.
leicht und komfortabel
Glcklicherweise habe ich den Hinweis befolgt die Sandalen eine Nummer grer zu ordern, bei mir passt die Sandale perfekt bei Gre 44,5 obwohl ich normalerweise 43,5 habe.
An- und ausziehen geht sehr leicht.
Was allerdings die Schnrung bewirken soll ist mir nicht klar, da ndert sich nichts wenn man etwas verstellt. Ist wohl eher ein optisches Gimmick auf das ich gerne verzichten kann. Daher ein Stern Abzug.
Die Lieferung kam sehr schnell und gut an, ich kann die Sandale wirklich weiterempfehlen.
Look good but will they stand up to real wear and tea
They were as expeced, if sandles can look good, these do. I have not tried walking in water yet so do not know how they will standup. I have one concern and that is the elasticatied ties, when they brake or strech (which they will do) can i get replacements? problem for another time.

This was my third attempt at ordering these sandals. Previously I ordered 8.5 which were too small. I ordered 9 which turned out exactly the same size as the 8.5 so too small. So ended up
With 9.5 which is at leas a whole size bigger than my normal size. The sandals are great, very comfy but it took 3 orders to get there. Very frustrating
Comfortable and hardy
I bought my first pair about 4 years ago and find them very comfortable to wear and hardy, the previous current pair are about 3 years old and still useable, but looking a bit worn out.
Keen sandals
As someone with a high instep I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews. I found that, if I loosened the laces to maximum before putting them on for the first time and then tightened to the best fit, there was not an issue. My best fit is normally UK 7.5 and I ordered a size 8 to find that there was ample room at the toes.
Keen shoes have not disappointed me in the past and these are no exception. Lightweight yet robust. Toes are well protected and I haven’t experienced problems with stones getting into the sandals when walking on gravel.
Great sandals
I love these sandals they are so comfy they are the 3rd pair I now own . You need to order a size larger than you normally take in a shoe for the perfect fit. You can walk miles in them in total comfort.
Good all-purpose sport sandals
I like these sandals for the good ventilation from open sides and toe protection from the rubber tips. Good for general purpose walking along trails or in water. Good fit and light weight.
Good quality
I have a high instep, and the fact that this shoe has a fixed heel support (rather than a velcro one) means it is VERY difficult for me to manoeuvre my foot into the shoe. My fault : I should have remembered this problem and gone for a style of shoe with adjustable heel strap.
Still great utility sandals
My old pair of these Keens finally bit the dust after six years as my go-to yard and chore footwear, as well as for occasional rocky desert hiking. I did not treat them kindly. A heel strap finally gave way where it connected with the outside of the sole, probably from lots of wear at that spot, chafing against things like rocks and tough desert brush. I was really happy to find replacements on Amazon, and at a fair price for sandals of this quality. On top of that, Keen changed the design right where my old ones had finally failed. They switched from fabric to an artificial leather that appears to be plenty tough. They are otherwise identical to my dearly departed Keens, with the same comfortable fit and quality construction. Definitely worth the money!
Update 8/2021: Liked these so much, I just bought another pair for dress-up use, a pair I won’t beat up!

However, the "regular" Keens I have worn have a bulky sole and are heavy. Not so with these. The soles on these are thinner, and no wider than the top of the shoe, and the shoes feel light on my feet. They still protect my toes, and have nice grippy soles. Perfect. Best Keens I have ever worn. I have D width feet but tend to prefer E width shoes for comfort, and these feel great on my feet.

Managed to find these and fit reasonably well with a wider foot, but like other the use of the neoprene layer without a gap is making getting these type of sandals increasingly difficult to get on with the tighter fit especially since I have a high instep, had to go 0.5 size higher, fortunately with affecting general fit too badly. Hoping these last longer than cheaper alternatives.
Fab outdoor sandals
Over the last fortnight, since they arrived, I have continually worn my Keen Clearwater CNX sandals mainly because of their comfort. The sandals have been used outside on a rare sunny day and I have found them to be protective and lightweight. They were a birthday purchase and so far seem worth every penny!
Good shoe, poor laces
I like this shoe, which replaces an earlier pair of keens that got good wear. However the laces are too thin and don’t hold the shoe firmly – I replaced them straight away and the shoe is much improved with a sturdier lace, but it’s annoying that it’s necessary

My husband always wears Keen sandals, so I felt confident in ordering his usual size 9’s. He was pleased with the closed rubber toe and the fabric construction appeared sturdy and well made. He first tried them on wearing socks in case they didn’t fit and had to be returned, and could not get his foot in at all. Even after opening the drawcord at the front to its fullest extent his foot would not go in any further than the instep. Without socks he made more headway- and we could see that the sandals were big enough- but the problem lies with the fixed and non-stretchy back strap which has no adjustment and no means of opening it. The sandal is in fact more like an open shoe. Eventually, and with the aid of a pull-up cord threaded through the tab at the back of the heel, (and a lot of swearing) he managed to get his foot in, and finds them flexible and comfortable in use. But owing to the struggle he has with the sandals every time they are put on or removed, he is not wearing them as frequently as his old pair. Nb there is no mention of the construction in the description and it is not really obvious on the accompanying photograph. I do not know if going up a size would make things any better since once they are on they do fit and are not tight at all.

As per some other reviews, these are a tighter fit than my Keen Newport H2 pair. They are narrower and shorter but are fine for my indoor use as open “slippers” and after adjusting over two weeks are now fitting to my feet well. They feel more flimsy than my H2s and the soles feel thinner so outdoor walking might have been a problem. The H2s are great for outdoors and I’ve had the H2s several years.
The CNX are excellent for my use, hiking? not so sure.
Excellent walking sandals
These sandals are fantastic – can’t fault them. They completely encompass the foot without tightness, never chafe and can be worn in water or over rough terrain without compromise. They’ve got a neat heel strap and a sturdy toe bumper to prevent stubbing and can be worn immediately on long walks without any ‘wearing-in’. A great plus is that you can wash them as well – in the washing machine! I’ve never actually done this – I usually just wash them in the sink with some hand-wash soap, gently scrubbing the footbed with a toothbrush to get right down to the toes. Lean them up against a sunny wall (heel-down to let the water drain out) and they’ll be dry and ready to wear again in no time!
El ajuste es muy bueno, pero calza pequeo un nmero ms es necesario, mnimo 1/2.
Es un calzado de goma, con sus virtudes (aguanta el agua) y sus defectos (transpira mal aunq sea abierto) dependiendo para q las vayas a usar, extraordinarias o no.
La suela es cmoda y las tiras estn bien rematadas, yo las he notado sper cmodas desde el primer da.
Si vas a usarlas con cierta frecuencia para actividades acuticas, son estupendas, pero si no es tu idea yo no las recomendara.
Durability and quality construction.
Good fit, acceptable comfort, above average durability.
The sole is a little soft so it does not protect from nails or acacia thorns, but otherwise no complaints.
After 6 months of daily use on the trail and in the water, they held up very well. I have now had them for over a year and recently they get only occasional use, but they were left in the bottom of my skiff the whole time, exposed to sun and sea water pretty much constantly, and they show absolutely no signs of deterioration. I would definitely buy them again.
I like the rubber toe, it protects me from accidentally kicking sticks or rocks or whatever might be poking up from the ground.
On the beach they get plenty of sand and rocks in them, but that shakes out in the water fairly easily if you leave them just a little loose, and the looseness doesn’t cause any comfort or performance issues for me.

But I do need to return them for a bigger size. I’m a 10, and well I struggle to get me heel over the rear. Finger in a hoop, then pull apart an force the foot in..
I’m going to order a 10.5, next as I’d like a little more lose.
Well made, good fit..
I’ve looked at these sandals for a good while and seen them in use in several countries on expeditions. They are well made and very comfortable. I went by the European Size on all of my other footwear and they fit perfectly. The main thing that I like, is that they have a protected toe area, useful for wading rivers that might have hidden obstacles (I had a client in Morocco who got a piece of steel wire stuck in his big toe when crossing a river in the mountains). At this price, a must have outdoor item…
Very light sandal. You’ll hardly notice that you have them on your feet. The only thing that niggles me is that when I put them on because I have such a high instep I have to push them on really hard. The only way of doing this is to find some hard surface to jam the toe part to save the sandal moving and slip the foot into it with a hard push.Very comfortable when on and it is easy to get them off . I have a pair of Keen Newport which I have worn for years hope these last as long. Would buy agai
To be honest I don’t like sandals however in the period when in got really hot this year (lets hope it happens again) I found my regular footwear
uncomfortable in the heat. These Keen sandals were the best looking I could and didn’t make me look like I just stepped out of the new testament. There are also very comfortable.Based on other reviews I decided to go for a size 8 (I’m usually a 7 – 7) These fit perfectly in the width however are a little too large in length. This may have to do with having the feet of a Hobbit. for anyone with wider feet I would suggest the next half size up. Lose one star as I feel there are a little too pricey for what they are
Good quality but you need to buy a bigger size than normal.
Love the shoes, but similar to other reviews I found the size far too small. As soon as I got them out of the box I could see that they were markedly smaller than my other shoes, and although the sizing guide recommended buying my normal shoe size I will need to go at least half a size bigger, if not a whole size, to stop my toes rubbing on the end. I’ll be returning and swapping for a larger size since I still like the quality and practicality of these shoes.
After trying a pair of North Face sandals and being a tad disappointed I saw someone wearing a pair of ‘Keen’s’, asked her what they were like (after falling in love with the look of them and thought I’d give them a try. Turned up today and they fit like a glove, can hardly feel I’m wearing them. The fact that their ‘waterproof’ (fine this to say as their full of holes) means that they have no insoles to get smelly which my wife loves! Great buy and will look at their other footwear in time – needless to say the North Face are going back……
high quality, nice looking and practical summer footwea
very nice summer footwear. My wife purchased this prior to our vacation to the Philippines. I liked this shoe because it was shoe-like enough to wear with socks in the mall and be achy enough to go bare foot in the sand. The shoe is comfortable and is good for long walks and hikes without sore feet. The only discomfort I had with this shoe wads when I drove a car for 6 hours… the side of the shoe doesn’t fit well when you rest your foot on its side (like in a long car ride) as there is a slight bulk of material that makes your foot sit at a slightly-off-from-natural angle… That said, as long as you are not taking long car drives in this shoe you will love it in every other summer setting.
One other thing I love is the quick pull on design (the top is elastic supported and can stretch easy to get foot in there). This is especially nice for me as I have wider than normal feet.
