Neat design. Connectors ok for normal wire. Not a product I would use if I needed to disconnect on a regular basis. The seals seem good although I have not immersed them in wate

It’s a solid, well made product. Easy to setup, really clever waterproof gasket system that accommodated cables of different sizes. Love that this has a remote control though having to programme it / ‘learn’ the remote was fiddly and I’m not sure why this isn’t done when the item is boxed and shipped?

This item is perfect for connecting electrical wires in an outside enviroment and at a great price. Unfortunately I needed a unit to connect 3 way electrical (my mistake), so I had to return the item, which was accepted by the supplier and Amazon. Great product with great customer service.

I had not seen this design before. Although rather fiddly to connect the cables, once done it is very easy to take part and reassemble the two ends. It seems to be waterproof – but not fully tested.
A very useful and neat product.

I used these on some PIR lights, they are very good, and should last.

I used these for a well system in our garden and have had not problems in about a year from water ingress.

Quick and simple to change between pump and heater in fish pond

So long as you have an understanding of electrics and wiring it is simple… cannot comment on weatherproof as just installed for a month but so far ok.. made a hole for and moisture to run out if any gets in.
Easy to install but when putting top on be careful lining up the lid with the LED lights as they easily bend so just be careful with lid.
So far so good likes the higher amp’s on one for water ice heater that another mfr’s electrical box goes to just 1.5 amps. This is 7 or 8 amps. So good for 1500w pond heater.

Used in the car engine bay to connect a permanently fitted battery charger. Works well

Nice and compact unlike 16 amp commando sockets and plugs.
Only complaint, they do not do this as a 4-pole so you can include the emergency lighting circuit.
    We would recommend.

how water resistant it is i cant comment on but so far so good, the covered sockets should keep it more corrosion and water free so i have high hopes, its handy to be able to disconnect it too.

I had to use the connection for a electrical cable that had split for power to an outdoor pond pump and it the job perfectly

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI love the unit itself and it does a great job. I have set it up for a number of different light strips in the garden and it does this perfectly with the remote working from a fair distance away in the house.

My only gripe is that the connections for the power cables (input and output) are extremely small and difficult to access. As this is an outdoor unit I’m using weatherproof cables and they are quite bulky (I have a mix of 2.5mm and 1.5mm, the 1.5mm was definitely easier to connect), this makes the very small and tight fittings extremely difficult to install the cables into. After the initial swearing during installation though I’m very happy with the unit.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersUsed to connect an outside light. I’m not a keen DIYer and struggle to do things neatly (or at all). I found this connector easy to fit and I have confidence it will do the job. Came with two sizes of rubber sealing rings.

Good solution for retro fitted lights Which saves putting switches up. A bit fiddly to wire up and remote only works outside the house but a good product and easy to use. First box went faulty but was replaced immediately without quibble.

Does what it says. Easy to fit and easy to use. My only criticism is that you can’t buy extra female connectors, so if you want to share a long power lead between multiple devices you have to keep buying male/female pairs and throw the unused half in the back of the shed in case you may find a use for it, or else the bin.

This is technology that is fast being superseded however..
Very easy to wire and program.
Relays are good quality and circuitry seems robust.
Downside is that small slugs can enter through the drain hole and short out the back of the PCB.
I’ve attended many with this fault.
A strip of duck tape on the back is a easy prevention.

Some of the reviews here are for a junction box but I am reviewing ) Plug and Socket Inline Cable Connector, 3-Pole, rated to 16 A. It’s a sturdy connector but you only get one. The screws are tiny and require a special screwdriver. There is another brand Malajess that supply 3 connectors together with a screwdriver for 7.95!

Ideal if you are looking for a cable connector that you are only going to be connecting/disconnecting every now and then…
Once wired it’s very easy to connect/disconnect the 2 halves, the O-rings and threads seals very well and feel firm.
If you are looking for a rapid connection for things like power tools though this is not the best option… as you always have too screw them together fully

Absolutely excellent product. The only thing which I found difficult was the terminals. I therefore recommend the use of ferrules on the multi strand cables that you might use when installing this equipment. It is fabulous, I have my garden lights, small LED spotlight etc wired to it and I love it!

I have used many different makes of junction boxes over the years on external connections for pond etc. Most fail after a while and water ingestion is inevitable. These are far sturdier and pretty easy to use. I found the connector strip a little light but I upgraded to a slightly larger one that still fitted within the box. I like the 5 screws that secure the lid giving a far better sealing potential. The cable glands are well made and there is a good selection of grommets for different cable sizes including a blanking grommet if needed. All in all very happy longevity an unknown but have been installed for some months now and OK.

I am happy with this product so far. However, please be aware the wiring diagram enclosed is incorrect.
Fortunately, I did a continuity check before connecting to the power supply and the ground was connected to the live terminal. If you are not competent please ask an electrician to wire this for you.

Firstly this is a fantastic switch for garden lighting etc and the remote is powerful and works well. Beware though it will not control a 13 amp socket as it has internal fuses of 8, 2.5 and 2.5 amps respectively for the three output glands. You wont know this from the description. You also need outdoor cable ideally with solid wires as the internal connections are quite small and finicky so if your using armoured cable with stranded wires its very difficult to connect. that said if wired properly it works well and the supplier ML fittings are absolutely superb in their customer service. the internal fuses were blowing as I thought it would support a 13 amp plug and the fuses are not standard – they cannot be bought in normal electrical supplier stores. One email and a live webchat to Ml and I was speaking to their technical support expert who explained the issue and sent me replacement fuses overnight. Very pleased with it but be careful in what you expect from it.

Quick and easy to install, however two of the LED’s do not work, but did not find this out until after fitting, so could not return for a replacement. Its compact and I needed to wire in some SWA armoured cables. These need to be spaced apart, as putting them into the box next to each other was not possible due to lack of room for the associated cable glands. I drilled the bottom of the box and added some small bolts to link with the earthing gland ring for the SWA cables. You could get three SWA cables into a 5 way box, but no more. However, if you are wiring using normal cabling, no issues. Connections are fiddly to do, but OK. Just wish I had known about the faulty LED’s . I guess I should have checked the box prior to fitting. 🙁

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI am pretty competent at most trades having spent 50 years in the building industry. It therefore came as a bit of a surprise that I did not immediately understand how to re-assemble this connector after I had dismantled it and wired the two halves.

OK, that’s my fault, I was expecting it to be simpler than it is. I accept the blame for my slight confusion and I do recommend it. It is in fact easy enough BUT I do suggest that you watch carefully when you take it apart so that you can re-assemble it quicker than I did.

I have not tested it in water but it inspires confidence in its water-tightness.

Problem: sockets, switches manually Turing off garden lights, pond lights, water feature.
Solution: Knightsbridge 3G Remote Switch Box.

I am so impressed with the performance. The remote is radio frequency therefore not reliant on IR and not issues with light or line of view. I control my lights through the patio door with the blinds down without any issues. This unit makes it so easy now to turn the lights off without having to go out in the evening in the rain or cold.

Wiring using multi string cables is very fiddly as the space is limited between cable clamp and terminals. the terminals are screw clamp terminals. The clamps do not make a clean passage for multi strand cables. I soldered the ends and this makes it much easier. I used a long nose rounded pliers to help with inserting the cables into the terminals. The PG20 glands I found to be slightly loose and these needed tightening, however I replaced these with flex conduit glands as I used flex conduits to protect the cables.
The remote does require pairing. Before you close the lid, ensure you pair the remote. After pairing its so simple and so impressive.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWell hi to all parents and people who wish to have control of electricity and console playing children……

I have a problem with my children using their consoles at night …..
Alexa plugs easy to get round?
Easy to take out a plug connected to Alexa out of a wall and plug anything back in to the wall ….

I found this online …after thinking outside the box.

This is an outside infrared remote controlled plug point for the garden.
Can be turned on by one push of a button and also can be turned off by one push of a button.

Since I have installed this I’ve been very happy with the product and I know now that my teenager is sleeping at night rather than playing consoles and not trying to go to school because he hasn’t slept…..YAY!!!!

God loves the man or woman that made this idea you’ve just saved my home and given my boy a better chance of getting better grades

I would recommend this to anybody.

10 out of 10 on the grounds of that children don’t understand remote controls anymore and I dont have to constantly worry that hes up all night playing consoles and failing at school because hes knackered from no sleep .in the past have taken the console away but this way it stops his room on the press a button till homework or chores are done.

got to love our generation 🙂 and the human that made this device….

Instant control of power from a distance
