Functionally, you won’t get a better mouse than this. Aesthetically, my girlfriends thinks it’s ugly but she has extremely high standards as she spends most of her time surrounded by absolute specimens.

It feels like a premium product, and so it should do at that price. But, if you’re like me and you’re used to using the cheapest peice of crud on this here website, this will blow you’re 50% wool, 50% organic cashmere socks off.

I would not recommend this to everybody, only my friends.

    Just amazing
I was a bit skeptical but this mouse is incredible. I bought it with the mx keyboard and use it with my MacBook Pro and Windows 11 laptop. I also have an additional display setup for each device and the mouse moves seemlessly from screen to screen between devices. Copy and paste also works across the two different OS.

Perfect mouse for production not for gaming
If you use this for your day to day work on your Mac or PC, you will love this. It is the perfect production mouse. It’s not a gaming mouse so please don’t buy it for that, Logitech have other products for that.

Battery life is superb. You can charge and use it too. I use this on my Mac as I was getting pains from the flat Magic Mouse from Apple. This has stopped all that and I couldn’t go back.

The scroll wheel is a dream to use too. Fantastic!

awesome mouse with a lot of functions
If you are looking for a mouse for multi-tasking and a lot of smart functions built in, this one is right for you.
I use it mainly for photo/video editing so all the great futures get to use.
Fits perfectly in hands, fully customisable especially on macbook all the gestures can be added.
Loosing one star as scrolling feels like lagging slightly, maybe I’ve received a faulty product or so

Really good mouse but extremely expensive
It’s probably the best mouse for any laptop and fixes the main issue with the old one of making too much of clicking noises. But just don’t understand why it has to be so expensive. Looks like they are copying apple is pricing methods.

Because i have big hands seems like it fits very well in. Very response to my activity work. I buyt to use not only for mac but for windows so work for windows 10, 11 because drivers is for those operating sistems, i used throght bluetooth , this mouse dont come with a usb dongle.

    Great bu
A really good product to me it’s better then the Magic Mouse by Apple but, some functions do not work. The scroll is to fast and the side scroll doesn’t work with all apps, the buttons on the side are useless but other than that it’s great and my hand is never tired or hurt anymore (if you owned a Magic Mouse and worked for hours on it you will relate) I will recommend it to any Mac owner with heavy use specially on creative applications but I’m for the average user you are better off with a cheaper mouse that does the same job

    Love this mouse
I previous has the Master 2 XS and was contemplating upgrading (as that’s a great mouse too). I took the plunge though and whilst most features re the same / similar, this one does feel much nicer and even solid in your hand. I wish Apple mage a mouse like this. Very happy I upgraded.

Big mouse but works well and is less annoying using Excel with a Mac...
Big mouse so not as neat as a Magic Mouse but colour is great and works brill on a Mac without the annoying misbehaving you get with the top bit of a Magic Mouse when trying to scroll. Not sure of the value of the Mac version v the cheaper normal multipurpose one which has more features. I think it’s just the colour – which is important to Mac peeps for that superior desk look. Overall I prefer it to a Magic Mouse but will use the MM when travelling it’s much less bulky. Final points, it’s really only useable by righties, the whole thing is wrong if you’re left handed (there my be a leftie version) and you stretch your hand over the top of the mouse, sort of cupping it which might be ergonomically better but does feel odd compared to the Magic Mouse – try one first if you can.

    Comfortable
Good and comfortable as expected. Happy with the purchase.

    To improve:

    – the precision on mac is still a bit jumpy, not as precise as if you drag a finger on the track pad.

    – mapping of apps – didn’t see Firefox back/forward mapping as is there for Safari and Chrome

    Best mouse I’ve ever used
My friends and I are all of the same opinion.
It’s like we’re part of a cult now, but a good one.
This mouse is amazing, fits nicely in my big hands; I especially love the very customisable scroll wheel and the “hidden” thumb pressure sensitive rest on the left side which you can map a custom function to (like the launchpad on Mac)
Battery life is a LONG LONG while, no concerns there, and If you find you need charging, a thin USB-C cable plugged into the front and it will feel like a wired mouse while it’s also charging, so you don’t have to stop computing and there is also not that much resistance while mousing around.

Best Mouse I have Ever Owned!
I was ready to return my MacBook, after switching from WIndows it was driving me crazy and didn’t work well with my previous gaming mouse. But this mouse was a game changer, I could actually use my Macbook just how I wanted to! I assigned Mission Control to the thumb button so I could easily switch between tasks, and got SteerMouse to fix the terrible mac mouse scrolling, and now I can tolerate this computer! Seriously this is the best mouse I’ve ever owned, works like a charm and never gets in the way of my video editing work, and adds useful functionality. 100% recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNice and quie
I bought the Logitech MX Master 3S for Mac version of this as a tentative replacement for a Logitech MX Master 3, and have been quite pleased.

The only complaint I had about the MX Master 3 was that the buttons were a bit too stiff and rather too noisy. The left, right and thumb buttons on the 3S for Mac are a bit less stiff, a lot quieter, and a lot lower-pitched, so it’s a great improvement. The button in the scroll wheel and the forward and back buttons are about the same, but they weren’t the problem.

I had to reprogram some of the shortcuts I had set up (there didn’t seem to be a way of transferring them from the Master 3 setup in the Logitech Options+ software), but it wasn’t hard.

Note that the “for Mac” version omits the Universal Receiver included with the plain 3 or 3S, so it’s purely a Bluetooth mouse with no fallback to USB.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPossibly the Best Mouse On the Market.
    Next Gen Mouse.

After having used the original Magic Mouse (battery powered) for 8 years which was ingenious at the time of release and arguably still is. The Magic Mouse functions based on the glass touch surface and the use of various touch gestures produces a different function I.e. forward and back.

The MX Master 3 has the ability to do functions and more, despite not being touch gestures which isn’t a significant drawback. The MX Master 3 uses side buttons, side scroll and also directional movement gestures as functions. In addition, you can personalise each gesture and button to function as you like (E.g. volume up, volume down etc.) by using the Logitech Desktop App. Personalising functions has never been so good!

The Logitech MX Master 3 for Mac is designed beautifully it terms of ergonomics and the major selling point for me. It fits the shape of my hand and cuffs well.
The Magic Mouse always dragged my wrist due to the slim design but didn’t cause significant issues. However, after using the MX Master 3 you can’t really go back due to the difference in comfort.

The infinite scroll wheel is something that is very handy too. You can change between line-by-line scrolling or infinite scrolling which keeps scrolling as long as you want it to without disruptions in haptics.

The colour design and USB dongle is the difference between the normal MX Master 3 and the MX Master 3 for Mac but they both function as well as each other – In the design perspective it made sense to not include a dongle with the Mac version of the mouse as Mac tends to use less cables and extensions.

I’m not using the mouse for gaming so I can’t comment on how good it is for gaming but I’ll give the benefit of the doubt.

Overall, a fantastic mouse that I am very happy with. No more replacing physical batteries.

Since I replaced my old mouse with this product I’ve not had so much pain in my hand anymore. It fits perfect for my hand and I enjoy using it. Love it because you don’t need batteries either and can just charge it on your computer. When charged, it last a very long time. It’s perfect.

    Cool mouse, annoying app
By the nature of it, I requires additional app to enable some features. Unnecessarily, Logitech choose a way to create heavily resource consuming app for it which is annoying.
Other than it’s great experience to use the mouse. I customised gestures and buttons per app (for example; horizontal scroll changes tabs on the IDE and terminal) which makes my life easier.

    Super quality mouse
Excellent quality mouse, a pleasure to use it. I have big hands and this is better that some standard ‘mini’ mice. I’ve never used a specialised ergonomic mouse but this one seems to be ok so far with comfort. However I do not spend a lot of time on the computer. The build quality seems really good.

    Great mouse for all
Such a great tool, so many configurable options for the buttons and gestures. May favourite part is the multi connection ability. The mouse allows you to configure 3 devices that you can connect to. And all you have to do to switch device is press the button on the bottom. Great feature. Used mostly for Software development but also used for gaming, might be a bit heavy for quick movement but overall great mouse

Perfect for mac users and great pain reduction!
I got this for ergonomic reasons due to pain in wrist/hand/arm. It massively reduces that thanks to the shape of it and angle it keeps the hand at. It’s perfectly compatible and great for use with Mac computers also, which was a must for me. I love the flexibility of the mapping available and how many buttons and tweaks it has which have become a part of my everyday workflow.

    Lovely mouse to use
Bought this mouse to use as my daily mouse for work. I use a MacBook as my work laptop so wanted a mouse that is able to make use of the Mac features, such as window swapping and launch pad. The Logitech software allows you to map lots of different Mac features to the buttons and wheels on this mouse which is great.

There are cheaper options out there that do the same thing as this mouse. But it has a very premium feel and having usb c charging makes it very convenient to use.

    Improved my Mac experience
Being a heathen who is very much used to the luxury of a right mouse button being built into the mouse, this has really improved my iMac experience.
I have a windows version for my work laptop so I knew it would fit my hand just as well.
It was easy and straight forward to set up.
The battery is lasting as long as I’d expect too.
If you’re not sure and you’re used to Windows instead of iOS this is a great segway.

More comfortable than the apple mouse it replaced, and with a few exceptions it is better as well
I got this to replace an old and worn first generation Apple Magic Mouse (the price when I bought it was too good to ignore). The ergonomics are much better and so is the battery life. The ability to connect to more than one device is also very useful. The only thing I miss from the Apple mouse is a quick tap gesture to zoom the page in Safari. This may be possible with Logitech’s software – I just haven’t figured it out yet.

Best productivity mouse for the Mac
I bought this as a replacement for my Logitech MX Master 1 which has been a workhorse for me since 2015. The only reason I replaced it was that the battery life has degraded and the surface coating has fallen off over the years.

I can safely say that the MX Master 3 continues the legacy that was set by the first iteration and is the best productivity mouse for the Mac. The battery life is astounding as I have yet to recharge mine after several weeks. Connectivity with my Macbook Pro is also pain-free and I have not needed to resort to a dongle for good response times.

Great Premiere Pro and sound editing tool
My previous MX just “died” one day after 6 years of heavy use and abuse. New one is nice and smooth and I use it daily in video and audio editing. New MX seems even more solid and there’s more elements made of aluminum or higher grade plastic.

One thing that used to slightly piss me off at the beginning was that Logitech changed the position of the side roller (or whatever its name is). All non-linear editors will know that it’s a great feature to scroll the whole timeline or move things horizontally etc. New MX has it installed slightly higher, so it’s a matter of muscle memory really. After few days I got used to it 🙂

    All in all great buy

Not quite perfect. 4.5 stars if I could.
For 99% of what it’s made for this mouse is perfect. There are a few things I’m not quite convinced by but they’re not bad enough to not put up with them.

Most notable, it’s not the smoothest on anything than a perfect surface. I don’t want to carry a mouse pad around with me but without one it can stick sometimes, and the pads on the base collect dirt and scratch very easily.

The scrolling wheel, is great, the dual speed option is sometimes useful but it also likes to think about it for a second and will jump around a bit. You want to scroll an inch and it’ll go through a page.

The customisation is great too, however some apps like Lightroom aren’t supported for some reason.

Other than that, very comfortable and great battery life. Thought 99 was expensive for a mouse but I’d say it’s worth it.

OK not the cheapest mouse on the market but this is quality.
I have this mouse set up on a gaming PC, Mac Mini M1 and an iPad. Simply select one of three button settings and pair each Bluetooth device up. Yes this is the Apple version but works fine on Bluetooth on a PC. However if you are working on older PCs get the other model that’s a few quid/euros/dollars more that does Bluetooth and has an adaptor. I use it for everything including gaming. It’s my go to mouse over my gaming mouse and Apple touch mouse. Sometimes that extra button on the Mac is useful. Sorry Apple fan boys, but it is. That said I’m very happy with both of those mice too, its just this is a one stop shop. Oh and the battery lasts for ages.

Overall a great mouse but the software could do with some improvements
I bought this mouse to use primarily on macOS. This is so far one of the best I’ve used so far, but there’s definitely room for improvement with Logitech software.

Pros: great ergonomic design, fits perfectly in your palm. The positioning of the scroll wheels are very well thought out. There’s an extra thumb activated button that could do with some more haptic feedback or clickyness. Battery life is great, I’ve only had to recharge it once in a couple of months? Impressive. Tracking speed and precision are top notch but it can take time to get used to.

Cons: Logitech software used to control advanced features could do with some polish (a normal unstyled native app would have been better). The thumb activated button on macOS triggers mission control by default but sometimes does nothing. It seems to get stuck in different contexts to what you need. I recommend switching off some of the advanced features like natural scroll as it keeps scrolling your window leading to some strange artifacts on screen.

Fantastic mouse let down by bluetooth issues
I’d love to give this mouse 5 stars but I had issues with bluetooth connectivity on a 2019 MacBook Pro.

The mouse would randomly lose connection for a few seconds, multiple times throughout the day.

This was sorted by using the Unifying USB receiver that came with my MX Keys for Mac. The connection has been flawless using it.

Other than that, this mouse is awesome – the scroll wheel is just great – nice weighted feel to it and scrolling through long lists of things is a game changer.

The ergonomics are fantastic – it really fits my hand well and is a good upgrade from the Apple Magic Mouse 2.

  35. IsabellBarth says:

    No unifying receive
This is an awesome mouse, however I cant really see the advantage of the “for mac” version compared to the regular version. Both versions work with macs and pc, but the mac version is Bluetooth only out of the box, while the regular version has Bluetooth but also ships with a USB “unifying receiver”. The mac version works with unifying receivers, just does not come with one. I am not sure if any of the default settings differ, but these could be redefined on either version.
I use this alongside an MX Keys keyboard switching between a mac and two windows machines and luckily had a spare receiver from an old mouse. (so one receiver in each machine, with both the keyboard and mouse connected to each).
5 star mouse, -1 star for lack of USB receiver. Regular version may be the better option even for “mac only” users.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersPay attention to which model you're buying
Primarily a Windows user here. I accidentally bought the Mac version of this mouse, and while yes, this is mainly down to my own carelessness, I feel like the Mac aspect could be made a little bit more obvious in the listing.

Thankfully the Mac version does seem to work quite well with Windows, but be aware that it does not come with a USB-A cable or any sort of USB receiver, meaning you will have to buy these separately or rely on USB-C and Bluetooth to use the mouse.

Also, note that you need to have at least Bluetooth 4.0 with Low Energy capability or the mouse simply won’t work. I had to buy a separate adapter to get it working with my 2013 desktop. Another extra cost.

The mouse only works wirelessly and will not do anything apart from charging over USB.

The fact that you seem to get less in the box for the same price and what seems to be essentially the same mouse leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Apart from the Space Grey coloring and some changes in software to optimize the mouse for Mac usage, there seems to be no physical difference between the two versions.

I have been having a lot of problems with Bluetooth connectivity dropping every 20-30 minutes, but I can’t determine yet if this is a problem with the mouse itself, the version of the mouse I have, my Bluetooth adapter, or Windows itself.

    Now, onto the mouse itself:

The accuracy of the pointing feels excellent. If your work involves doing a lot of very precise, pixel perfect mouse movements, you will like this mouse for that aspect alone. It certainly seems to outperform my G600, but it’s a subtle difference.

One disappointing aspect was the discovery that the mouse only updates at 80-90Hz. Coming from a G600, the downgrade from ~500Hz was noticeable and disappointing at first, though I did get used to it very quickly (primarily working, not gaming). I assume this is mainly down to the fact that the mouse is wireless, and I wish it was possible to use the mouse wired over USB to get a higher polling rate.

Also, as can be expected from a wireless mouse, if you leave it idle for more than a few minutes, it goes into sleep mode and needs to turn itself back on again before it can be used. It can take up to a second before the mouse will start responding again and the lag is noticeable.

Ergonomically, it feels great. (I use a palm grip and am coming from a Logitech G600) It is an extremely well built product and every part of it feels great in your hand. The only complaints I have are that the thumb wheel is not as capable as the main scroll wheel (it will just spin freely but much more stiffly than the main wheel, it doesn’t click), and the thumb button is very difficult to press sometimes, requiring a little bit too much force.

The scrolling: Physically, it feels great to use. It seems a bit fiddly to me and doesn’t feel as precise as my G600, but I think this is just a matter of getting used to it and getting the adjustment right. The smart scrolling (where the scroll wheel changes between clicking and free-spinning) takes some adjustment for it to feel right. To make matters worse, what’s happening on screen doesn’t always seem to correspond to how the scroll wheel is moving? The scrolling often stops for me well before the wheel itself has stopped spinning.

Battery life: As you’d expect, fine. Have only had the mouse for a week and apart from the initial charge, I haven’t plugged it in once yet.

The software: VERY annoying that you have to make an account with Logitech and sign in just to change vital settings on your mouse. For a $100 product, what on earth were they thinking???

Overall: Perfectly good mouse, but honestly, as I don’t need a wireless mouse, I’m kind of wishing I bought something like a wired G502 instead. I feel like I bought into the hype that this is “the king of mice”, when in reality, it’s a pretty good mouse with some drawbacks.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMac version works fine on PC
Just in case you were wondering, the Mac branded version is, as far as I can tell, identical to the PC version except for the colour, USB C to C cable for charging, and exclusion of a Bluetooth dongle. As my PC has Bluetooth built in I decided to get this version rather than wait 2 months for the non-Mac branded version to come into stock, but also I prefer the colouring on this one – win win! So far it feels like a very nice, very well constructed mouse. The scroll wheel is premium, managing both a free and ratchet flow.

Possibly the only negative I see at the moment is it’s marginally too small for my man hands (XL glove size), but I have that problem with everything designed for the average hand. I will continue as with my previous mouse, to grip it purely with my fingers!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersSuperb Alternative for Apple Mouse
As an apple lover Im pretty much full of praise for almost all of the current product range. They are probably a little overpriced for what they are but like a beautiful car they are designed with form and aesthetics as well as function. You enjoy looking at and interacting with them, so that makes you want to use them. I feel the same way about Fuji cameras and Jaguar cars. Well the one design aesthetic I HATE about Apples desktop range of computers is the ridiculous mouse design that has varied from a puck to a pebble over the last 10 years, but although beautiful to look at performs like a pudding. The aesthetics have pushed the ergonomics and performance so far into the background you need a telescope to see them.
Enter Logitech with a version of the MX mouse designed specifically for use with Apple products.
The MX Master 3 for Mac is a wireless mouse with a built in rechargeable battery that comes with and is charged by a USB C cable. This plugs into the front of the mouse allowing you to use it while it charges, unlike the Apple mouse, which has its charging plug underneath the mouse, meaning you will have to remember to plug it in to charge when you are not using the computer, or else, have two mice so that one is permanently charged. The MX Master 3 comes in a clean black textured covering which has a rubberised texture to the body, that feels soft and grippy to the touch. It has space grey accents around the base and the scroll wheels mounted on top and the left side. It has a left and right button that fall under the index and middle fingers when the mouse is cradled in the palm, and the scroll wheel is also able to be pressed adding a third option on top. It also has a front and back button under the side scroll wheel, selectable with the thumb, and the base of the thumb rest is also a button, all of these are assignable using the Logi Options App that is a free download. This app also lets you adjust things such as scroll speed, mouse sensitivity and so forth. Behind the top scroll wheel is a further small button which allows you to select whether the wheel is free running or gives you a clicking sensation as you scroll. The Logi Options app has some pre-defined setup options for commonly used programs such as photoshop, setting for example the side wheel up to alter brush size without needing to use the keyboard or dive into the menus. These pre-defined setups can also be adjusted to suit your taste.
Underneath the mouse is the On/Off slider at the front which switches on the bluetooth allowing paring with your device (did I mention it was a bluetooth mouse?) the sensor array (which works even on my glass desk without a mousepad) and a small button at the back which lets you switch between up to three paired devices. So you could use it for your desktop, laptop and compatible tablet device (such as recent iPads). There is also a feature that Logitech calls Flow that allows you to setup two devices to work side by side allowing you to move the mouse cursor seamlessly from one screen to another. This allows drag and drop across both devices, or cut and paste, or viewing edits on one screen while assets are on another. This is setup with the Logi Options app, which is extremely easy and intuitive. Awesome
The ergonomics, looks and usability of this mouse makes it a strong recommendation for anyone who like me has longed for a mouse that fits the Apple ethos of form, function and design. Its taken Logitech to provide one and the 99 price tag is quite steep but if you spend hours editing photos or videos at your computer the programmable buttons will be a huge timesaver.
    Thoroughly Recommended.
